¹² I am writing to you, my little-children, because your sins have been forgiven to you through his name.

¹¹ For your name's sake, O Jehovah, pardon my iniquity, because it is great.

¹ Those whose transgression is forgiven are fortunate, whose sin is covered. ² The man to whom Jehovah does not reckon sin and in whose spirit there is no deceit is fortunate.

⁸ Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.

⁷ Though our iniquities testify against us, work you for your name's sake, O Jehovah. For our backslidings are many. We have sinned against you.

²⁰ And seeing their faith, he said to him, Man, your sins have been forgiven to you.

⁴⁷ Because of which, I say to you, Her sins, which are many, have been forgiven, because she loved much, but to whom few is forgiven, the same loves few. ⁴⁸ Now he said to her, Your sins have been forgiven.
⁴⁹ And those who reclined at the meal together with him began to speak among themselves, Who is this one, who forgives even sins?
⁵⁰ But he said to the woman, Your faith has saved you. Travel in peace.

⁴⁷ and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

¹² And there is salvation in none other; for neither is there any other name, that has been given among men, in which it is essential for us to be saved.

⁴³ To this one, all the prophets are testifying, that through his name everyone who believes in him will be receiving forgiveness of sins.

³⁸ Therefore brethren, let it be known to you that forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you through this one;

⁶ Just-as David also says concerning the good-fortune of the man to whom God counts righteousness separate from works, ⁷ saying, ‘Those whose lawlessnesses are forgiven and whose sins are covered are fortunate.

⁷ in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses according to the riches of his grace.

³² and become kind to one another, affectionate, forgiving others in yourselves, just-as God also forgave us in Christ.

¹⁴ in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins,

⁴ and we are writing these things, in order that our joy may be fulfilled.

⁷ But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son is cleansing us from every sin.

⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

¹ My little-children, these things I am writing to you in order that you may not sin. And if anyone should sin, we have a Helper with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

⁷ Brethren, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you have heard from the beginning.

¹³ I am writing to you, fathers, because you have known the one who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young-men, because you have overcome the evil one. I am writing to you, children, because you have known the Father. ¹⁴ I wrote to you, fathers, because you have known the one who is from the beginning. I wrote to you, young-men, because you are strong and the word of God is abiding in you and you have overcome the evil one.

²¹ I did not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it and because every lie is not from the truth.
