¹¹ Nevertheless certain men of Asher and Manasseh and of Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem.

³ And Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh and said to him, Jehovah says thus, the God of the Hebrews, How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, that they may serve me.

⁴¹ I also walked contrary to them and brought them into the land of their enemies. If then their uncircumcised heart be humbled and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity,

¹⁶ And after them, such as set their hearts to seek Jehovah, the God of Israel, came to Jerusalem out of all the tribes of Israel to sacrifice to Jehovah, the God of their fathers.

⁶ Then the rulers of Israel and the king humbled themselves and they said, Jehovah is righteous.
⁷ And when Jehovah saw that they humbled themselves, the word of Jehovah came to Shemaiah, saying, They have humbled themselves. I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance and my wrath will not be poured out upon Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.

¹² And when he humbled himself, the wrath of Jehovah turned from him, so as not to destroy him altogether. And moreover in Judah there were good things.

²¹ And the sons of Israel who were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness. And the Levites and the priests praised Jehovah day by day, with loud instruments to Jehovah.

²⁵ And all the assembly of Judah, with the priests and the Levites and all the assembly that came out of Israel and the travelers who came out of the land of Israel and who dwelt in Judah, rejoiced.

¹² And when he was in distress, he besought Jehovah his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.

¹⁹ Also his prayer and how God was entreated by him and all his sin and his trespass and the places in which he built high places and set up the Asherim.

²³ And he did not humble himself before Jehovah, as Manasseh his father had humbled himself, but this same Amon trespassed more and more.

²⁷ because your heart was tender and you humbled yourself before God when you heard his words against this place and against the inhabitants of it and have humbled yourself before me and have torn your clothes and wept before me, I also have heard you, says Jehovah.

²² And you his son, O Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this,

¹¹ Because everyone who is exalting himself will be humbled, and he who is humbling himself will be exalted.

¹⁴ I say to you, This one went down to his house, having been made righteous rather than that man, because everyone who is exalting himself will be humbled, but he who is humbling himself will be exalted.

³⁴ But some men, having joined themselves to him, believed; among whom was also Dionysius the Areopagite and a woman, Damaris by name, and others together with them.

¹⁰ Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord and he will be exalting you.

⁶ Therefore humble yourselves under the powerful hand of God, in order that he may exalt you in time;
