¹ Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will be of God and Timothy our brother, to the congregation of God who are in Corinth, together with all the holy-ones who are in the whole of Achaia: ² grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
³ The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of the mercies and God of all encouragement is gracious; ⁴ who is encouraging us on our every affliction, that we may be able to encourage those who are in any affliction, through the encouragement of which we ourselves are encouraged by God. ⁵ Because just-as the sufferings of the Christ abound to us, so our encouragement also abounds through the Christ. ⁶ But whether we are afflicted, it is on behalf of your encouragement and salvation; which is working in the endurance of the same sufferings which we also are suffering; and our hope is steadfast on your behalf. If whether we are encouraged, it is on behalf of your encouragement and salvation, ⁷ knowing that, just-as you are partners of the sufferings, so you^\'b0 are also of the comfort. ⁸ For brethren, we do not wish you to be ignorant in regard to our affliction which happened to us in Asia, that we were burdened down surpassingly, beyond our power, so-that we despaired even to be living. ⁹ But, we ourselves have had the verdict of death in ourselves, in order that we should not have confidence in ourselves, but in God, who is raising up the dead; ¹⁰ who rescued us out of so-great a death and is rescuing us; in whom we have hoped that he will also still be rescuing us. ¹¹ You^\'b0 are also working together on our behalf by your supplication; in order that the gift to us from many faces might be a thanksgiving through many people on our behalf.
¹² For this is our boasting, the testimony of our conscience, that in clarity and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we conducted ourselves in the world and even-more toward you. ¹³ For we are writing no other things to you, but what you are reading or even what you know. Now I hope you will fully know these things we write until the end; ¹⁴ as you also recognized us partially, that we are your boasting, just-as you are also ours, in the day of our Lord Jesus.
¹⁵ And in this confidence, I was planning to come to you beforehand, in order that you might have a second favor from me; ¹⁶ and through you to go through into Macedonia, and away from Macedonia to come to you again and to be sent onward to Judea by you. ¹⁷ Therefore while planning this certain thing, I did not consequently use fickleness, did I? Or what I plan, do I plan those things according to the flesh, in order that there should be from me the yes, yes and the no, no? ¹⁸ But as God is faithful, our word toward you did not become yes and no. ¹⁹ For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you through us, that is, through me and Silvanus and Timothy, did not become yes and no, but in him it has become yes. ²⁰ For as many things as are the promises of God, in him is the yes and in him is the amen, for glory to God through us. ²¹ Now he who is confirming us together with you in Christ and anointed us is God, ²² who also sealed us and gave us the down-payment of the Spirit in our hearts.
²³ Now I myself call upon God as a witness upon my soul, that, I came to Corinth no more so sparing you. ²⁴ Not that we have lordship over your faith, but are fellow workers of your joy; for you are standing in the faith.

¹ Now he arrived in Derbe and Lystra, and behold, a certain disciple was there, Timothy by name, the son of a certain believing Jewess and a Greek father.

¹ Now after these things, Paul, having departed from Athens, came to Corinth. ² And he found a certain Jew, Aquila by name, and his wife Priscilla, a man of Pontus by race, who recently had come from Italy because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to depart out of Rome. He came to them ³ also because he was of the same craft. He was remaining and working beside them, for they were tent makers, by the craft. ⁴ Now he was reasoning in the synagogue every Sabbath and was persuading Jews and Greeks.
⁵ Now as Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was being troubled in the spirit, thoroughly testifying to the Jews: the Christ Jesus. ⁶ Now while they were resisting us and blaspheming God, he shook-off his garment and said to them, Your blood is upon your own heads. I am clean. I will be traveling to the Gentiles from hereafter. ⁷ And he proceeded from there and went into the house of a certain man, Justus by name, one who worshiped God, whose house was adjoining to the synagogue.


⁸ Now Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord together with his whole house.
And many of the Corinthians hearing, were believing and were being immersed.
⁹ Now the Lord said to Paul through a vision in the night, Do not be afraid, but speak out and do not be silent, ¹⁰ because I am with you and no one will be laying a hand on you to mistreat you, because there are many people in this city believing in me. ¹¹ And he stuck-around there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.

¹² Now Gallio being proconsul of Achaia, the Jews stood up united against Paul and led him in front of the judicial-seat,

Paul, bondservant of Jesus Christ, a called apostle, having been separated to the good-news of God, ² which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy Scriptures, ³ concerning his Son, (who was born from the seed of David according to the flesh, ⁴ who has been determined as being the Son of God in power, according to the spirit of holiness, out of the resurrection of the dead), Jesus Christ our Lord. ⁵ Through whom, we received grace and apostleship, into the obedience of the faith in all the nations, on behalf of his name;

²⁶ For Macedonia and Achaia were delighted to make a certain generosity to the poor of the holy-ones in Jerusalem.

⁵ and the congregation who is in their house. Greet Epaenetus, my beloved, who is the first-fruit of Achaia to Christ.

²¹ Timothy my fellow worker greets you, and Lucius and Jason and Sosipater, my relatives.

¹ Paul, a called apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes the brother, ² to the congregation of God which is in Corinth–those who have been made holy in Christ Jesus, called ones, holy-ones, together with all who are calling upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, both theirs and ours:

¹¹ And some of you were these, but you were fully-washed, but you were made holy, but you were made righteous in the name of the Lord Jesus and in the Spirit of our God.

³² Do not become a stumbling block, either to Jews or to Greeks, or to the congregation of God;

¹⁰ Now if Timothy comes, see to it, in order that he may become fearless toward you; for he is working the work of the Lord, as I also am.

¹⁵ Now you know the house of Stephanas, that it is the first-fruit of Achaia and that they have appointed themselves to serve the holy-ones. I encourage you brethren,

² for I know your eagerness, of which I am boasting on your behalf to the Macedonians, that Achaia has been prepared from the past-year, and the zeal from you has stimulated most of them. \ulnone\nosupersub

¹⁰ As the truth of Christ is in me, that this boasting will not be sealed up in me in the districts of Achaia.

¹⁹ Now I am hoping in the Lord Jesus, to send Timothy to you shortly, in order that I may also be in good spirits when I know about the things concerning you. ²⁰ For I have no one equal in spirit, who will be genuinely anxious about the things concerning you. ²¹ For they are all seeking their own, not the things of Jesus Christ. ²² But you know the trial of him, that as a child serves a father, so he served together with me for the good-news.

¹ Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Timothy our brother, ² to the holy and faithful brethren in Christ who are in Colosse: grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

⁷ so-that you became examples to all who believe in Macedonia and in Achaia. ⁸ For the word of the Lord has echoed forth from you, not only in Macedonia and in Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone forth; so-that we do not need to say anything.

¹ Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the commandment of God our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, our hope;

¹ Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, through the will of God, according to the promise of the life which is in Christ Jesus.

¹ Paul, a bondservant of God and apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s chosen and the full knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness,

²³ Do you know that our brother Timothy has been released? With whom, I will be seeing you if he comes shortly.

²⁰ You came but yesterday, should I this day make you go up and down with us, seeing I go where I may? Return and take back your brothers. Mercy and truth be with you.

¹⁸ Then the Spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the thirty, and he said, We are yours, David and on your side, you son of Jesse. Peace, peace be to you and peace be to your helpers, for your God helps you. Then David received them and made them captains of the band.

²⁰ And praise God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand. And Abram gave him a tenth of all.

¹⁰ Therefore David praised Jehovah before all the assembly. And David said, You are blessed, O Jehovah, the God of Israel our father, everlasting and everlasting.

⁵ Then the Levites, Jeshua and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah, said, Stand up and praise Jehovah your* God from everlasting to everlasting. And praise your glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise.

²¹ And he said, Naked I came out of my mother's womb and naked I will return there. Jehovah gave and Jehovah has taken away, praise the name of Jehovah.

⁴⁶ Jehovah lives and my rock is blessed and exalted be the God of my salvation,

¹⁹ And praise his glorious name everlasting. And let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Truly and Truly.

⁵ Because you, Lord, are good and ready to forgive and abundant in loving kindness to all those who call upon you.

¹⁵ But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in loving kindness and truth.

³⁴ And at the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes to heaven and my understanding returned to me. And I blessed the Most High and I praised and honored he who lives forever. For his dominion is an everlasting dominion and his kingdom from generation to generation.

⁹ To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against him,

¹⁸ Who is a God like to you, who pardons iniquity and passes over the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in loving kindness.

²² For the Father is judging no one, but has given all judgment to the Son; ²³ in order that all may honor the Son, just-as they are honoring the Father. He who is not honoring the Son, is not honoring the Father who sent him.

³⁰ I and the Father are one.

¹⁷ Jesus says to her, Do not be touching me; for I have not yet ascended to my Father, but travel to my brethren and say to them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father and my God and your God.

⁵ Now the God of the endurance and the encouragement gives to you to be mindful of the same thing among one another according to Christ Jesus, ⁶ in order that you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ united with one mouth.

³¹ The God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, he who is gracious forever, knows that I am not lying.

³ The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is gracious, who has blessed us in every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

¹⁷ in order that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of him,

¹¹ and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

³ The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is gracious, who according to his much mercy has born us again into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, ⁴ I rejoice exceedingly that I have found some out of your children walking in truth, just-as we received commandment from the Father.

⁹ Everyone who transgresses and is not abiding in the teaching of the Christ, does not have God. He who abides in the teaching of Christ, this one has both the Father and the Son.

⁵ I acknowledged my sin to you and I did not hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Jehovah and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

⁷ You are my hiding-place. You will preserve me from trouble. You will encompass me around with songs of deliverance. Selah.

² My soul will make its boast in Jehovah. The humble will hear of it and be glad. ³ O magnify Jehovah with me and let us exalt his name together.
⁴ I sought Jehovah and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. ⁵ They looked to him and were radiant and their faces will never be confounded.
⁶ This poor man cried and Jehovah heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.

¹⁶ Come and hear, all you* who fear God and I will declare what he has done for my soul.

¹⁷ Show me a sign for good, that those who hate me may see it and be put to shame, because you, Jehovah, have helped me and comforted me.

¹ And you will say in that day, I will give thanks to you, O Jehovah, for though you were angry with me. Your anger is turned away and you comfort me.

¹ Comfort you*, comfort my people, says your* God.

¹⁰ They will not hunger nor thirst, neither will the heat nor sun kill* them. For he who has mercy on them will lead them. He will guide them even by springs of water.

³ For Jehovah has comforted Zion. He has comforted all her waste places and has made her wilderness like Eden and her desert like the garden of Jehovah. Joy and gladness will be found in it, thanksgiving and the voice of melody.

¹² I, even I, am he who comforts you*. Who are you, that you are afraid of man who will die and of the son of man who will be made as grass,

⁹ Break forth into joy, sing together, you* waste places of Jerusalem, for Jehovah has comforted his people. He has redeemed Jerusalem.

¹² For Jehovah says thus, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream. And you* will nurse of it. You* will be borne upon the side and will be dandled upon the knees. ¹³ As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you* and you* will be comforted in Jerusalem. ¹⁴ And you* will see and your* heart will rejoice and your* bones will flourish like the tender grass. And the hand of Jehovah will be known toward his servants and he will have indignation against his enemies.

¹⁶ And I will be requesting of the Father and he will be giving you another Helper, in order that he may abide with you forever,

¹⁸ I will not be leaving you orphans. I am coming to you.

²⁶ But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will be sending in my name, that one will be teaching you all things and will be reminding you of all things which I said to you.

⁵ Because just-as the sufferings of the Christ abound to us, so our encouragement also abounds through the Christ. ⁶ But whether we are afflicted, it is on behalf of your encouragement and salvation; which is working in the endurance of the same sufferings which we also are suffering; and our hope is steadfast on your behalf. ⁶ But God, who encourages the humble, encouraged us at the presence of Titus; ⁷ and not only at his presence, but also at the encouragement to which he was encouraged in you, while reporting to us your longing, your anguish, your zeal on my behalf; so-that I rejoiced even more.

¹³ Because of this, we have been encouraged in your encouragement, we rejoiced even-more upon the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been given-rest from all of you.

¹⁴ and that most of the brethren in the Lord, having confidence because of my bonds, are even-more daring to speak fearlessly the word of God.

¹⁸ So-then, encourage one another in these words.

¹¹ Hence, encourage one another and build up one by one, just-as you are also practicing.

¹⁶ Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God and Father who loved us and gave us everlasting encouragement and good hope in his grace, ¹⁷ may comfort your hearts and may establish them in all the word and in good work.

¹² Hence straighten the drooping hands and the paralyzed knees;

²⁵ And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was righteous and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel and the Holy Spirit was upon him.

⁴ and having fallen upon the earth, he heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?

¹⁰ We are foolish because of Christ, but you are prudent in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You are glorious, but we are dishonored. ¹¹ We are both hungry and thirsty, till the current hour, and are naked and are battered and are homeless; ¹² and we are laboring, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we are speaking well of them; being persecuted, we are tolerating it; ¹³ being blasphemed, we are encouraging. We have become like the scums of the world, the garbage of all things, even until now.

¹⁰ always carrying around in the body the death of the Lord Jesus, in order that the life of Jesus should also be manifested in our body. ¹¹ For we who live are habitually given up to death because of Jesus, in order that the life of Jesus should also be manifested in our mortal flesh.

²³ Are they servants of Christ? (I speak, as if having insanity) I am beyond them : in labors even-more, in lashes surpassingly, in prisons even-more, in deaths often. ²⁴ Five-times, I received forty lashes beside one from the Jews. ²⁵ I was lashed with rods three-times. I was stoned once. I was shipwrecked three-times. I have spent a night and a day in the depth of the sea; ²⁶ often in journeys, in perils of rivers, in perils of robbers, in perils from my own race, in perils from the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils by false brethren; ²⁷ in labor and hardship, often in sleeplessness, in famine and thirst, often in fasts, in cold and nakedness. ²⁸ Plus there are those things which are outside, my every day pressure which is the anxiety for all the congregations. ²⁹ Who is weak and I am not weak? Who is offended and I am not on fire? ³⁰ If it is essential for me to be boasting, I will be boasting in the things which are from my weakness.

²⁰ according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will be shamed in nothing, but as always, now Christ will also be magnified in my body in all boldness, whether through life or through death.

¹ Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affections and mercies,

¹⁰ that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being transformed to his death;

²⁴ Now I am rejoicing in my sufferings on your behalf and I am filling up in my flesh, the things lacking of the afflictions of the Christ on behalf of his body, which is the congregation of believers;

⁵ Now when it happened for us to finish the days there, we came out and were traveling on, and they all, together with their wives and children, sent us onward until we were outside the city, and having placed the knees down upon the beach, we prayed,

³ But not only in this, but we are also boasting in our afflictions, knowing that affliction is working endurance; ⁴ and endurance, approved character, and an approved character, hope; ⁵ and hope does not shame one, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

²⁸ Now we know that all things work together toward good, to those who love God, to those who are an invited one according to his purpose.

²¹ So-then, let no one boast in men. For all things are yours, ²² whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things which are present, or future things. All things are yours, ²³ and you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.

⁴ who is encouraging us on our every affliction, that we may be able to encourage those who are in any affliction, through the encouragement of which we ourselves are encouraged by God.

¹⁵ For all things are because of you, in order that the grace which increased through the many, the thanksgiving may abound to the glory of God.
¹⁶ Hence we are not depressed, but even if the outward man is decaying, but yet our inward man is renewed day in and day out. ¹⁷ For the momentary light weight of our affliction, is working for us a surpassingly-better everlasting weight of glory; ¹⁸ because we are not noting the things which are seen, but note the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are everlasting.

⁵ Now God is the one who worked us for this same thing, who also gave the down-payment of the Spirit to us.

¹⁵ Now I will gladly spend and be utterly spent on behalf of your souls; even if, when loving you even-more, means I am loved even-less.

¹³ Hence I am asking you not to be depressed at my afflictions on your behalf, which are your glory.

¹⁹ For I know that this will be transpiring for my salvation, through your supplication and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

¹⁰ Because of this, I endure all things, because of the chosen, in order that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with everlasting glory.

¹⁰ For they indeed were disciplining us for a few days according to what did seem right to them, but he does it upon what is advantageous for us, that we may receive of his holiness. ¹¹ Now indeed all disciplining does not seem to be a thing of joy for the present, but of sorrow; now later it gives peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been exercised because of it.

¹¹ You are fortunate whenever they reproach and persecute you and say every evil word against you–lying, because of me. ¹² Rejoice and be glad, because your reward is much in the heavens; for thus, they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

²⁸ But you are those who have remained with me in my temptations ; ²⁹ and I also covenant to you, just-as my father covenanted to me a kingdom, ³⁰ in order that you may eat and may drink upon my table in my kingdom, and you will be sitting upon thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

¹⁷ and if children, then heirs; indeed, heirs of God and joint heirs of Christ; if indeed we are suffering together with him, in order that we might also be glorified together with him.
¹⁸ For I reason that the sufferings of this current time are not worthy of complaint to the glory which is about to be revealed to us.

¹³ No temptation has taken you except common human temptations, but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to undergo, but together with the temptation, he will also make an outlet.

¹⁴ as you also recognized us partially, that we are your boasting, just-as you are also ours, in the day of our Lord Jesus.

⁹ I now rejoice, not that you were made sorrowful, but that you were made sorrowful to repentance; for you were made sorrowful according to the will of God, in order that you might suffer-damage in nothing from us.

²⁰ For I am fearing, lest, when I come, I should find you such-as I do not will and I myself might be found by you such-as you do not will; lest there should be strifes, jealousies, furies, selfish ambitions, slanderers, malicious whisperers, arrogant-people, unrests;

⁶ I have confidence of this same thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will be completing it till the day of Jesus Christ; ⁷ just-as it is a righteous thing for me to be mindful of this on behalf of all of you, because I have you in my heart, both in my bonds and in the defense and confirmation of the good-news, all of you being joint partners with me of the grace.

³ constantly remembering your work of the faith, and labor of love, and of the endurance of the hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father, ⁴ knowing beloved brethren your choice by God.

⁴ so-that we ourselves boast in you in the congregations of God, on behalf of your endurance and faith in all your persecutions, and in the afflictions which you are tolerating. ⁵ This is an example of the righteous judgment of God; that you may be deemed worthy of the kingdom of God, on behalf of which you are also suffering; ⁶ if indeed it is a righteous thing with God to repay affliction to those who are afflicting you; ⁷ and to you who are afflicted with us, a rest at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with the messengers of his power,

¹² if we endure, we will also be reigning together with him; if we are denying him, he will also be denying us;

² My brethren, deem it with all joy, whenever you fall into various temptations, ³ knowing that the proving of your faith is working out endurance. ⁴ But let endurance have its completed work, in order that you may be complete and whole, deficient in nothing.

¹² The fortunate man who is enduring temptation, because having become approved, he will be receiving the crown of life, which the Lord promised to those who love him.

³ And David swore moreover and said, Your father knows well that I have found favor in your eyes and he says, Do not let Jonathan know this, lest he is grieved. But truly as Jehovah lives and as your soul lives, there is but a step between me and death.

¹ And David said in his heart, I will now perish one day by the hand of Saul. There is nothing better for me than that I should escape into the land of the Philistines and Saul will despair of me, to seek me any more in all the borders of Israel, so I will escape out of his hand.

²³ Now it happened at that time there was not just a small disturbance concerning the Way. ²⁴ For a certain man, Demetrius by name, (a silversmith making miniature silver temples of Artemis), was providing not just a small business to the craftsmen; ²⁵ whom he accumulated together the other workers of such things and said, Men, you know our prosperity is from this business. ²⁶ And you view and hear, that not only from Ephesus, but almost all of Asia, this Paul has persuaded and seduced a considerable crowd, saying that they are not gods, those born through man’s hands. ²⁷ But not only is this part for us in peril and it is to go into disrepute but also the temple of the great goddess Artemis is to be counted as nothing and her majesty is about to be demolished, what the whole of Asia and inhabited-earth is worshiping.
²⁸ Now having heard this, and having become full of fury, they were crying out, saying, Great is Artemis of Ephesus. ²⁹ And the whole city was filled with confusion and they rushed united into the theater, having seized Paul’s fellow traveling-associates, Gaius and Aristarchus, who were Macedonians. ³⁰ Now Paul was planning to enter into the public area, but the disciples were not permitting him. ³¹ But some also of those from Asia, being friends to him, and having sent for him, they were pleading with him not to give himself to the theater crowd. ³² Therefore some were crying something and others another thing; for the assembly was confused, and most did not know why they had come together. ³³ But they pushed Alexander forward out of the crowd with the Jews, casting him forward. Now Alexander, having beckoned with the hand, was wishing to make a defense to the public. ³⁴ But when they recognized that he was a Jew, one voice became out of them all for approximately two hours, crying, Great is Artemis of the Ephesians. ³⁵ But having the composure of the crowd, the town scribe says, Men of Ephesus, for what man is there who does not know that the city of the Ephesians is temple-keeper of the great goddess Artemis and of the fallen image from Zeus?

⁸ Already you are satisfied, already you were enriched, you reigned as kings without us, and yet, I wish-that you did yet reign, in order that we also might reign together with you.

³² If I quarreled with beasts in Ephesus according to the manner of man, what is the profit to me? If the dead are not raised up, ‘We should eat and drink, for the next-day we die.’

⁹ for a large and effective door has opened to me and many are laying in opposition to me.

⁷ But we have this treasure in clay vessels, in order that the excellence of the power may be from God and not from us. ⁸ We are being pressed in everything, but not distressed; being perplexed, but not despairing; ⁹ being persecuted, but not forsaken; being cast down, but not being destroyed; ¹⁰ always carrying around in the body the death of the Lord Jesus, in order that the life of Jesus should also be manifested in our body. ¹¹ For we who live are habitually given up to death because of Jesus, in order that the life of Jesus should also be manifested in our mortal flesh. ¹² So-then indeed, death is working in us, but life in you.

¹⁴ Then I will also confess of you that your own right hand can save you.

²⁹ All the fat ones of the earth will eat and worship. All those who go down to the dust will bow before him, even he who cannot keep his soul alive.

⁵ Through you we will push down our adversaries. Through your name we will tread them under who rise up against us.
⁶ Because I will not trust in my bow, nor will my sword save me. ⁷ Because you have saved us from our adversaries and have put them to shame who hate us.

²⁶ He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, but he who walks wisely, he will be delivered.

²³ Jehovah says thus: Do not let the wise man glory in his wisdom, nor let the mighty man glory in his might. Do not let the rich man glory in his riches, ²⁴ but let he who boasts boast in this, that he has understanding and knows me, that I am Jehovah who exercises loving kindness, justice and righteousness, in the earth. For in these things I delight, says Jehovah.

⁵ Jehovah says thus: Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his arm and whose heart departs from Jehovah. ⁶ For he will be like the heath in the desert and will not see when good comes, but will inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, a salt land and not inhabited.
⁷ Blessed is the man who trusts in Jehovah and whose trust Jehovah is.

¹³ When I say to the righteous man, that he will surely live, if he trusts his righteousness and commits unrighteousness, none of his righteous deeds will be remembered, but in his unrighteousness that he has committed, in it he will die.

¹ The hand of Jehovah was upon me and he brought me out in the Spirit of Jehovah and set me down in the midst of the valley and it was full of bones.
² And he caused me to pass by them all around. And behold, there were very many in the open valley, and behold, they were very dry. ³ And he said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O lord Jehovah, you know.
⁴ Again he said to me, Prophesy over these bones and say to them, O you* dry bones, hear the word of Jehovah. ⁵ The lord Jehovah says thus to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you* and you* will live. ⁶ And I will lay muscles upon you* and will bring up flesh upon you* and cover you* with skin and put breath in you* and you* will live.
And you* will know that I am Jehovah.
⁷ So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold, an earthquake and the bones came together, bone to its bone. ⁸ And I beheld, and behold, there were muscles upon them and flesh came up and skin covered them above, but there was no breath in them.
⁹ Then he said to me, Prophesy to the wind. Prophesy, son of man and say to the wind, The lord Jehovah says thus: Come from the four winds, O breath and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.
¹⁰ So I prophesied as he commanded me and the breath came into them and they lived and stood up upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.
¹¹ Then he said to me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, Our bones are dried up and our hope is lost. We are clean cut off.
¹² Therefore prophesy and say to them, The lord Jehovah says thus: Behold, I will open your* graves and cause you* to come up out of your* graves, O my people and I will bring you* into the land of Israel.
¹³ And you* will know that I am Jehovah when I have opened your* graves and caused you* to come up out of your* graves, O my people. ¹⁴ And I will put my Spirit in you* and you* will live. And I will place you* in your* own land. And you* will know that I, Jehovah, have spoken it and performed it, says Jehovah.

⁹ Now he spoke this parable to some who have confidence in themselves, that they were righteous, and scorning the rest:

¹⁷ (as it has been written, ‘I have placed you as a father of many nations’), in front of God, the one whom he believed, who is giving-life to the dead and is calling the things which are not, as though they are. ¹⁸ Abraham who contrary to hope believed upon hope, that he might become a father of many nations, according to what had been spoken, So your seed will be.
¹⁹ And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already sterile, (being nearly a hundred years), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. ²⁰ But he did not doubt through unbelief at the promise of God, but became empowered through faith, having given glory to God, ²¹ and being fully assured that what he has promised; he is able also to do. ²² Hence it was also counted to him for righteousness. ²³ Now it was not written, ‘It was counted to him,’because of him only; ²⁴ but also, because of us to whom it is about to be counted, who believe on the one who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, ²⁵ who was given up because of our trespasses and was raised up because of our justification

⁵ not that we are sufficient from ourselves, to reason anything as out of ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God;

⁷ But we have this treasure in clay vessels, in order that the excellence of the power may be from God and not from us.

¹³ But having the same spirit of the faith, according to what has been written, ‘I believed and hence I spoke.’We also believe and hence we also speak; ¹⁴ knowing that he who raised up the Lord Jesus will also be raising us up through Jesus and will be presenting us together with you.

⁷ And, in order that I should not promote myself by the excellence of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of the Adversary, in order that it might batter me, in order that I should not promote myself. ⁸ I pleaded with the Lord three-times in regard to this thing, in order that it might withdraw from me. ⁹ And he has said to me, My grace is enough for you; for my power is completed in weakness. Therefore I will rather gladly be boasting in my weaknesses, in order that the power of the Christ might reside upon me. ¹⁰ Hence I am delighting in weaknesses, in insults, in calamities, in persecutions, in distresses, on behalf of Christ; for whenever I am weak, then I am mighty.

¹⁹ Having reasoning that God is able to raise him up even from the dead; from where he also got him back in a figure.

¹² Then Samuel took a stone and set it between Mizpah and Shen and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Jehovah has helped us to now.

³⁷ And David said, Jehovah who delivered me out of the paw of the lion and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said to David, Go and Jehovah will be with you.

¹⁷ Behold, fortunate is the man whom God corrects. Therefore do not despise you the chastening of the Almighty. ¹⁸ For he injures and binds up. He wounds and his hands make whole.
¹⁹ He will deliver you in six troubles. Yes, in seven there will no evil touch you. ²⁰ In famine he will redeem you from death and in war from the power of the sword. ²¹ You will be hid from the scourge of the tongue. Neither will you be afraid of destruction when it comes.
²² At destruction and dearth you will laugh, nor will you be afraid of the beasts of the earth.

¹⁹ The afflictions of the righteous are many, but Jehovah delivers him out of them all.

³ Listen to me, O house of Jacob and all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been borne by me from their birth, who have been carried from the womb.

²¹ Because of these things, the Jews took me in the temple and were attempting to exterminate me.

³¹ in order that I may be rescued away from those who are disobedient in Judea and in order that my service which I have for Jerusalem might become acceptable to the holy-ones;

¹⁰ For we are also laboring and are reproached toward this end, because we have hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of the believing ones.

¹⁷ But the Lord stood beside me and empowered me; in order that the preaching might be fully assured through me and in order that all the Gentiles might hear and I was rescued out of the mouth of the lion.

⁹ The Lord knows how to rescue the devout out of temptation, and to keep the unrighteous to a day of judgment to be punished;

⁴ It may be Jehovah your God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master has sent to defy the living God and will rebuke the words which Jehovah your God has heard. Therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.

⁶ I have set watchmen upon your walls, O Jerusalem. They will never keep silent day nor night. You* who are Jehovah's reminders, take no rest, ⁷ and give him no rest, till he establishes and till he makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

⁵ Therefore indeed, Peter was being kept in the prison, but intense prayer was happening by the congregation to God on his behalf.

³⁰ Now brethren, I am encouraging you through our Lord Jesus Christ and through the love of the Spirit, to struggle together with me, and on my behalf in your prayers to God; ³¹ in order that I may be rescued away from those who are disobedient in Judea and in order that my service which I have for Jerusalem might become acceptable to the holy-ones; ³² in order that I may come to you in joy through the will of God and I may rest together with you.

¹⁵ For all things are because of you, in order that the grace which increased through the many, the thanksgiving may abound to the glory of God.

¹¹ You are enriched in everything to all liberality, which is working through us thanksgiving to God. ¹² Because the service of this ministry not only is replenishing the things lacking of the holy-ones, but is also abounding through many thanksgivings to God;

¹⁴ and in their supplication on your behalf, a longing-for you because of the surpassing grace of God upon you.

¹⁸ through all prayer and supplication praying in all seasons in the Spirit and watching in this same thing in all perseverance and supplication concerning all the holy-ones. ¹⁹ And pray on my behalf, in order that the word may be given to me, in opening my mouth to make known the mystery of the good-news in boldness,

³ praying at the same time concerning us also, in order that God may open a door of the word to us, to speak the mystery of the Christ, because of which I have also been bound;

²⁵ Brethren, pray concerning us.

¹ Furthermore, brethren, pray concerning us, in order that the word of the Lord may run onward and may be glorified, just-as it is also with you;

²² But also at the same time, prepare me a lodging. For I am hoping that through your prayers I will be granted to you.

¹⁸ Pray concerning us; for we have confidence that we have a good conscience, wishing to conduct ourselves in a good manner in all things.

¹⁶ Therefore confess your trespasses to one another, and pray on behalf of one another, that you may be healed. The supplication of a righteous man prevails; much in its working. ¹⁷ Elijah was a man of like-feelings to us and he prayed with much prayer that it might not rain, and it did not rain upon the land for three years and six months. ¹⁸ And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rainfall and the land sprouted her fruit.

¹⁴ Now therefore fear Jehovah and serve him in sincerity and in truth. And put away the gods which your* fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt and serve you* Jehovah.

¹⁵ Behold, he will kill me; I have no hope. Nevertheless I will maintain my ways before him.

¹⁰ But he knows the way that I take. When he has tried me, I will come out as gold. ¹¹ My foot has held fast to his steps. I have kept his way and not turned aside. ¹² I have not gone back from the commandment of his lips, I have treasured up the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

⁵ Far be it from me that I should justify you*. Till I die I will not put away my integrity from me. ⁶ I hold fast my righteousness and will not let it go. My heart will not reproach me so long as I live.

¹ I made a covenant with my eyes. How then should I look upon a virgin? ² For what is the portion from God above and the heritage from the Almighty on high? ³ Is it not calamity to the unrighteous and disaster to the workers of wickedness? ⁴ Does he not see my ways and number all my steps?
⁵ If I have walked with falsehood and my foot has hastened to deceit ⁶ (let me be weighed in an even balance, that God may know my integrity); ⁷ if my step has turned out of the way and my heart walked after my eyes and if any spot has clung to my hands, ⁸ then let me sow and let another eat, yes, let the produce of my field be rooted out.
⁹ If my heart has been enticed to a woman and I have laid wait at my neighbor's door, ¹⁰ then let my wife grind to another and let others bow down upon her. ¹¹ For that is a heinous crime, yes, it is an iniquity to be punished by the judges. ¹² For it is a fire that consumes to destruction and would root out all my increase.
¹³ If I have despised the case of my man-servant or of my maid-servant when they contended with me, ¹⁴ what then shall I do when God rises up? And when he visits, what shall I answer him? ¹⁵ Did not he who made me in the womb make him? And did not one fashion us in the womb?
¹⁶ If I have withheld the poor from their desire, or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail, ¹⁷ or have eaten my morsel alone and the fatherless has not eaten of it ¹⁸ (no, from my youth he grew up with me as with a father and her I have guided from my mother's womb); ¹⁹ if I have seen any perish for lack of clothing, or that the needy had no covering; ²⁰ if his loins have not blessed me and if he has not been warmed with the fleece of my sheep; ²¹ if I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, because I saw my help in the gate, ²² then let my shoulder fall from the shoulder-blade and my arm be broken from the bone. ²³ For calamity from God is a terror to me and I can do nothing because of his majesty.
²⁴ If I have made gold my hope and have said to the fine gold, You are my confidence; ²⁵ if I have rejoiced because my wealth was great and because my hand had gotten much; ²⁶ if I have beheld the sun when it shone, or the moon walking in brightness, ²⁷ and my heart has been secretly enticed and my mouth has kissed my hand ²⁸ (this also is an iniquity to be punished by the judges, for I would have denied the God that is above); ²⁹ if I have rejoiced at the destruction of him who hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him ³⁰ (yes, I have not allowed my mouth to sin by asking his life with a curse); ³¹ if the men of my tent have not said, Who can find one who has not been filled with his food? ³² (the traveler has not lodged in the street, but I have opened my doors to the traveler); ³³ if like Adam I have covered my transgressions by hiding my iniquity in my bosom ³⁴ because I feared the great multitude and the contempt of families terrified me so that I kept my silence and did not go out of the door.
³⁵ O that I had someone to hear me (Behold, here is my signature, let the Almighty answer me) and that I had the indictment which my adversary has written! ³⁶ Surely I would carry it upon my shoulder. I would bind it to me as a crown. ³⁷ I would declare to him the number of my steps. I would go near to him as a prince.
³⁸ If my land cries out against me and the furrows of it weep together; ³⁹ if I have eaten the fruits of it without money, or have caused the owners of it to lose their lives, ⁴⁰ let thistles grow instead of wheat and cockle instead of barley.
The words of Job are ended.

³ O Jehovah my God, if I have done this, if there is unrighteousness in my hands, ⁴ if I have rewarded evil to him who was at peace with me, (yes, I have delivered him without cause who was my adversary), ⁵ let the enemy pursue my soul and overtake it. Yes, let him tread my life down to the earth and lay my glory in the dust. Selah.

¹⁷ All this has come upon us, yet we have not forgotten you, nor have we dealt falsely in your covenant. ¹⁸ Our heart is not turned back, nor have our steps declined from your way, ¹⁹ that you have greatly broken us in the place of jackals and covered us with the shadow of death.
²⁰ If we have forgotten the name of our God, or spread forth our hands to a strange god, ²¹ will not God search this out? Because he knows the secrets of the heart.

³ and said, O Jehovah, I beseech you, remember now how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart and have done what is good in your sight. And Hezekiah wept greatly.

¹ Now Paul, having staring to ward the council, said, Men, brethren, I have behaved-as a Jewish citizen to ward God in all good conscience till this day.

¹⁶ But I apply myself in this, having a guilt-free conscience always toward God and men.

¹ I say the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience is testifying together with me in the Holy Spirit,

¹⁸ For such are not serving our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and they are deceiving the hearts of the guiltless through their smooth-talk and blessings.
¹⁹ For your obedience has reached out to all men. Therefore I rejoice over you, but I wish for you to be indeed wise as to what is good, and harmless to what is evil.

⁴ And my speech and my preaching was not in persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power, ⁵ in order that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men, but be in the power of God.

¹³ We also speak these things, not in the taught things from mankind, in words of wisdom, but in the taught things from the Holy Spirit; combining together with spiritual words of wisdom, spiritual things.

⁴ For I have been conscious of nothing in myself, but I have not been made righteous in this thing. But he who is judging me is the Lord.

⁸ So-then we should celebrate a festival, not in old leaven, nor in the leaven of malice and wickedness, but in the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

¹⁰ But I am what I am by the grace of God and his grace toward me has not become empty, but I labored even-more than they all did; but not I, but the grace of God which was together with me.

¹⁷ Therefore while planning this certain thing, I did not consequently use fickleness, did I? Or what I plan, do I plan those things according to the flesh, in order that there should be from me the yes, yes and the no, no?

¹⁷ For we are not as the rest who are peddling the word of God, but as from sincerity, but as from God, in God’s sight, we speak in Christ.

² But we ourselves have scoffed at the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in God’s sight.

⁸ I do not speak according to commandment, but I am testing the genuineness of your love through the diligence of others.

² But I am beseeching you (not when I am present) to be courageous with the confidence in which I am reasoning to dare against some who reason us as walking according to the flesh. ³ For although we are walking in the flesh, we are not warring according to the flesh. ⁴ For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but are mighty in God, toward the demolition of strongholds,

³ But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve in his craftiness, so your minds might be corrupted away from the clarity and the purity which is leading to the Christ.

¹⁵ Now I will gladly spend and be utterly spent on behalf of your souls; even if, when loving you even-more, means I am loved even-less. ¹⁶ But let it be so, nevertheless, I did not burden you. But, being crafty, I took you with treachery. ¹⁷ By anyone whom I have sent to you. I did not take-advantage of you in anything through him, did I? ¹⁸ I encouraged Titus and I sent the brother together with him. Did Titus take-advantage of any of you? Did we not walk in the same spirit? Did we not walk in the same footprints?
¹⁹ Again, do you think that we are defending ourselves to you? We speak in Christ in God’s sight. But beloved, all things are on behalf of your building up.

⁴ But let each one test his own work and then he will have his boasting toward himself alone and not toward the other.

¹⁴ Therefore stand, having girded your loins in truth and having clothed yourselves with the breastplate of righteousness,

¹⁰ that you may approve the things which are carrying more-value; in order that you may be sincere and guilt-free in the day of Christ;

¹⁰ You and God are witnesses, as we became holy and righteous and blameless toward you who believe.

⁵ But the end of the command is love out of a clean heart and a good conscience and a non-pretended faith;

¹⁹ holding faith and a good conscience, which some having thrust away, are shipwrecked concerning the faith; ²⁰ of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I gave to the Adversary, in order that they might be disciplined not to blaspheme.

⁷ providing yourself as an example of good works concerning all things; in the teaching have integrity, honesty, incorruption,

¹³ Who is wise and knowledgeable among you? Let him show out of his good conduct his works in meekness of wisdom. ¹⁴ But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not boast and lie against the truth. ¹⁵ This wisdom is not a wisdom coming down from above, but is earthly, physical, demonic. ¹⁶ For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is unrest and every evil matter. ¹⁷ But the wisdom which is from above is indeed first pure, thereafter is peaceful, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and non-pretended. ¹⁸ And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who are making peace.

⁶ But he is giving greater grace. Hence the Scripture says, ‘God resists the haughty, but gives grace to the humble.’

¹⁶ having a good conscience; in order that, in what they are speaking against you as evildoers, they may be ashamed who are railing at your good conduct in Christ.

²¹ which is our counterpart, immersion, saves us also now, not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the demand of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ;

¹⁹ And we know in this that we are from the truth and will persuade our hearts before him; ²⁰ because if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart and he knows all things. ²¹ Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have boldness toward God; ²² and whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we are keeping his commandments and are practicing the things which are pleasing in his sight.

¹¹ Therefore knowing the fear of the Lord, we are persuading men, but we have been manifested to God, and I hope to have also been manifested in your consciences.

⁶ But I hope that you will know that we are not unapproved.

⁶ that the fellowship of your faith might become effective in the full knowledge of every good thing, which is in you, to Christ Jesus.

²⁵ For brethren, I do not wish you to be ignorant of this mystery (that you may not be too prudent with yourselves), that a hardening has become partially to Israel, till the fullness of the Gentiles should enter;

⁸ who will also confirm you until the end, so that you are irreproachable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁸ For indeed, first of all, when you are coming together in the congregation, I am hearing that splits exist in you, and I believe some part of it. \ulnone\nosupersub

³¹ I die every day by my boasting of you, which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord.

⁵ But if anyone has caused-sorrow, he has not caused-sorrow to me, (that I may not burden him), but partially to you all.

¹² For we are not again commending ourselves to you, but we are giving you a starting-point of boasting on our behalf, in order that you may have an answer toward those who boast in countenance and not in heart.

⁶ I have confidence of this same thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will be completing it till the day of Jesus Christ;

²⁶ in order that your boasting may abound in Christ Jesus in me, through my presence with you again.

¹⁶ Keep holding onto the word of life, for a boast to me in the day of Christ, that I did not run in vain nor labored in vain.

¹ So-then my brethren, beloved and longed-for, my joy and crown, so stand-firm in the Lord, my beloved.

¹⁹ For what is our hope or joy or crown of boasting, or is it not also you, which is before our Lord Jesus Christ at his presence? ²⁰ For you are our glory and our joy.

¹³ that he might establish your hearts, blameless in holiness before our God and Father, in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, with all his holy-ones.

²³ Now may the God of peace himself make you entirely holy, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹¹ for I am longing to see you, in order that I may give to you some spiritual gift, that you may be established;

²⁹ Now I know while coming to you, I will be coming in the fullness of the blessing of the good-news of the Christ.

¹⁹ But I will be coming to you shortly, if the Lord wills, and I will know, not the speech of those who have been arrogant, but the power.

³⁴ But if anyone is hungry, let him eat in his own house; in order that you may not come together for condemnation. Now I will be commanding accordingly the rest as to whenever I come.

¹ And working together with him, we are also encouraging you to not accept the grace of God in vain;

²⁵ And having confidence of this, I know that I will remain, and I will be abiding together with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith; ²⁶ in order that your boasting may abound in Christ Jesus in me, through my presence with you again.

²¹ Now as these things were fulfilled, Paul purposed in the spirit to travel to Jerusalem, after having gone through Macedonia and Achaia, and said, After I have come there, it is essential for me to also see Rome. ²² Now having sent Timothy and Erastus, two of those serving him, into Macedonia, he held back in Asia for a short time.

⁵ But I will be coming to you, whenever I have gone through Macedonia; for I am going through Macedonia. ⁶ Now when I am with you; I will be remaining or either will be wintering with you, in order that you may send me onward to wherever I am traveling. ⁷ For I do not wish to see you now on the way, but I am hoping to remain with you some time, if the Lord permits.

⁴ And they gave him seventy pieces of silver out of the house of Baal-berith, with which Abimelech hired vain and unstable fellows who followed him.

³² Behold, I am against those who prophesy lying dreams, says Jehovah and tell them. And make my people go-astray by their lies and by their vain boasting. Yet I sent them not, nor commanded them, neither do they profit this people at all, says Jehovah.

⁴ Her prophets are airy and treacherous men. Her priests have profaned the sanctuary. They have done violence to the law.

³⁷ But let your word be, a Yes, yes; a No, no; and whatever is more-than these, is from the evil one.

¹⁵ You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one according to the flesh.

¹² For this is our boasting, the testimony of our conscience, that in clarity and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we conducted ourselves in the world and even-more toward you.

¹⁸ But as God is faithful, our word toward you did not become yes and no. ¹⁹ For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you through us, that is, through me and Silvanus and Timothy, did not become yes and no, but in him it has become yes. ²⁰ For as many things as are the promises of God, in him is the yes and in him is the amen, for glory to God through us.

² But I am beseeching you (not when I am present) to be courageous with the confidence in which I am reasoning to dare against some who reason us as walking according to the flesh. ³ For although we are walking in the flesh, we are not warring according to the flesh.

¹⁶ to reveal his Son in me, in order that I may proclaim the good-news of him among the nations. Immediately, I did not consult with flesh and blood;

² But I went up according to revelation, and I myself submitted to them the good-news which I am preaching among the Gentiles, (but privately before those of repute), lest I might be running or had run in vain.

¹⁸ Hence, we wished to come to you, indeed, I, Paul, even once and then twice, and yet the Adversary hindered us.

¹² My brethren, but before all things, do not swear, neither by the heaven, nor by the earth, nor by any other oath, but let your yes be yes and your no be no; in order that you may not fall into hypocrisy.

²⁸ Therefore Jesus cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, You both know me and know where I am from, and I have not come from myself, but he who sent me is true, whom you do not know.

²⁶ I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you, but he who sent me is true, and the things which I heard from him, I am speaking these things to the world.

⁹ God is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

²³ Now I myself call upon God as a witness upon my soul, that, I came to Corinth no more so sparing you.

²⁰ Now we know that the Son of God has come and has given us perception, in order that we might know the true one and we are in the true one, that is, in his son, Jesus Christ. He is the true God and the everlasting life.

⁷ And write to the messenger of the congregation in Philadelphia:
He (the holy one, the true one, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will lock, except he who opens and no one will open) says these things:

¹⁴ And write to the messenger of the congregation in Laodicea:
The Amen, the faithful and true witness, the one in the beginning from the creation of God, says these things:

¹⁴ And God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM. And he said, Thus you will say to the sons of Israel, I AM has sent me to you*.

⁷ I will tell of the decree. Jehovah said to me, You are my Son, this day I have fathered you.

¹⁷ and behold, a voice came out of the heavens, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am delighted.

¹⁶ Now Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.
¹⁷ And Jesus answered and said to him, You are fortunate, Simon, Son of Jonah, because flesh and blood has not revealed it to you, but my Father, the one in the heavens.

⁵ While he is still speaking, behold, a radiant cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am delighted; hear him!

³⁵ The heaven and the earth will be passing away, but my words may never pass away.

⁶³ But Jesus was silent. And the high-priest answered and said to him, I implore you by the living God, in order that you should tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God?
⁶⁴ Jesus said to him, You have said so. However I am saying to you, From now on, you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming upon the clouds of heaven.

⁴⁰ and saying, He who tears-down the temple and builds it in three days, save yourself. If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross.

⁵⁴ Now the centurion and those guarding Jesus with him, having seen the earthquake and the things which happened, were extremely afraid, saying, This one truly was the Son of God.

The beginning of the good-news of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

³⁵ And the messenger answered and said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Highest will be overshadowing you; hence the holy one being born out of you will also be called the Son of God.

³⁴ And I have seen, and have testified, that this is the Son of God.

⁴⁹ Nathanael answered and says to him, Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, in order that everyone who believes in him might not perish, but may have everlasting life.

³⁵ The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand. ³⁶ He who believes in the Son has everlasting life, but he who is disobedient to the Son will not be seeing life, but the wrath of God is remaining upon him.

⁶⁹ And we have believed and have known that you are the Christ the Son of the living God.

⁵⁸ Jesus said to them, Assuredly, assuredly, I am saying to you, Before Abraham was born, I am.

⁷ The Jews answered him, We have a law and according to our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.

²⁸ And Thomas answered and said to him, My Lord and my God!

³¹ but these have been written, in order that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and in order that believing you may have life in his name.

³⁶ Now as they were traveling down the road, they came to a some water, and the eunuch says, Behold, here is water; what is preventing me from being immersed? \super{T}

²⁰ And immediately in the synagogues he was preaching the Christ, that he is the Son of God.

²² Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, together with the whole congregation, to send chosen men from them selves together with Paul and Barnabas to Antioch, leading men among the brethren: Judas surnamed Barsabbas and Silas.

⁵ Now as Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was being troubled in the spirit, thoroughly testifying to the Jews: the Christ Jesus.

³ concerning his Son, (who was born from the seed of David according to the flesh, ⁴ who has been determined as being the Son of God in power, according to the spirit of holiness, out of the resurrection of the dead), Jesus Christ our Lord.

¹¹ they themselves will be perishing, but you are remaining and they will all become-obsolete like a garment;

⁸ Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, and forever.

¹⁷ For having received honor and glory from God the Father, when such a voice was carried to him by the Majestic Glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am delighted.

³ What we have seen and have heard, we report to you, in order that you may also have fellowship with us, but also our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ;

⁹ If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, because the testimony of God is this: that he has testified concerning his Son. ¹⁰ He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. He who does not believe God, has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has testified concerning his Son. ¹¹ And the testimony is this, that God gave to us everlasting life and this life is in his Son. ¹² He who has the Son, has life; he who does not have the Son of God, does not have the life.
¹³ I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know that you have everlasting life, and in order that you may believe in the name of the Son of God.

⁸ I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, Who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.

¹¹ saying, What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven congregations : to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamus and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.

¹⁷ And when I saw him, I fell like one dead at his feet. And he placed his right hand upon me, saying, Do not fear; I am the first and the last,

¹⁸ And write to the messenger of the congregation in Thyatira:
The Son of God, who has his eyes like a flame of fire and his feet are similar to polished brass says these things:

¹⁵ And I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed. He will bruise your head and you will bruise his heel.

¹⁸ and in your seed will all the nations of the earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice.

¹⁰ The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs and to him will the obedience of the peoples be.

¹⁷ His name will endure everlasting. His name will be continued as long as the sun. And men will call him fortunate. All nations will call him fortunate.

¹⁶ Because Jehovah has built up Zion. He has appeared in his glory.

¹⁴ Therefore the Lord himself will give you* a sign: Behold, a virgin will conceive and bear a son and will call his name Immanuel.

⁶ For to us a child is born, to us a son is given. And the government will be upon his shoulder. And his name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace.
⁷ Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from hereafter until everlasting. The zeal of Jehovah of hosts will perform this.

¹⁶ so that he who graces himself in the earth will bless himself in the God of truth and he who swears in the earth will swear by the God of truth. Because the former troubles are forgotten and because they are hid from my eyes.

¹³ And do not bring us into temptation, but rescue us from the evil one, because yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

⁶⁸ The Lord, the God of Israel is gracious. Because he has visited and made redemption for his people, ⁶⁹ and has lifted up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his young-servant David, ⁷⁰ (just-as he spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets that have been from the ages past). ⁷¹ We have salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us; ⁷² to do his mercy with our fathers and his holy covenant to remember. ⁷³ We have the oath which he swore to Abraham our father to give to us, ⁷⁴ having been fearlessly rescued out of the hand of our enemies, to give-divine service to him

¹⁴ Glory to God in the highest, and peace upon earth, in men–delight.

¹⁷ Because the law was given through Moses; the favor and the truth became through Jesus Christ.

⁵ Jesus answered, Assuredly, assuredly, I am saying to you, If someone has not been born out of water and the Spirit, he is not able to enter into the kingdom of God!

⁶ Jesus says to him, I am the way and the truth and the life; no one is coming to the Father, except through me.

²⁵ You are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant which God covenanted with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your seed, all the families of the earth will be blessed.’ ²⁶ God, having raised up his young-servant Jesus, sent him to you first, blessing you in turning each of you away from your wickednesses.

³² And we are proclaiming to you the good-news of the promise which came to the fathers, that God has fulfilled this for us, their children, in that he raised up Jesus; ³³ as it has also been written in the second Psalm, ‘You are my Son; I have fathered you today.’ ³⁴ Now that he raised him up from the dead, no longer being about to return to decay, he has spoken thus, I will be giving you the holy faithful things of David. ³⁵ Hence, he also says in different psalm, ‘You will not be giving your Holy One to see decay.’ ³⁶ For indeed David, having attended to the plan of God in his own generation, fell-asleep and was added to his fathers and saw decay; ³⁷ but he whom God raised up saw no decay. ³⁸ Therefore brethren, let it be known to you that forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you through this one; ³⁹ and everyone who believes is made righteous in this one; you were not able to be made righteous from all the things of which were in the Law of Moses.

²³ For the compensations of sin is death, but the gift of God is everlasting life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

³⁶ It is because all things are from him and through him and to him. The glory is for him, forever. Amen.

⁷ Hence receive one another, just-as Christ also received you, to the glory of God. ⁸ But I am saying that Christ Jesus has become a servant of the circumcision on behalf of the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given to the fathers, ⁹ and that the Gentiles are to glorify God on behalf of his mercy; as it has been written, ‘Because of this, I will profess you among the Gentiles and sing-praise to your name.’

¹⁶ Otherwise if you give-thanks with the spirit, how will he who fills the place of the unskilled say the amen upon your thanksgiving, since he does not know what you are saying?

⁶ Because it is God, who said, ‘Illumination shine’out of darkness, who shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

¹⁶ Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He did not say and to seeds, as upon many, but as upon one and ‘to your seed,’which is the Christ. ¹⁷ Now I am saying this: the law, having happened four hundred and thirty years after ward, is not invalidating the covenant that has been validated beforehand by God in reference to Christ, that it should do-away-with the promise. ¹⁸ For if the inheritance is from the law, it is no more from the promise, but God has granted it to Abraham through the promise.

²² But the Scriptures locked up together all things under sin, in order that the promise which comes from the faith of Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

⁶ to the praise of the glory of his favor, in which he has favored us in the beloved,

¹² That we should be for the praise of his glory, we who have hoped before in the Christ, ¹³ in whom you also, having heard the word of the truth, the good-news of your salvation, in whom, having also believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, ¹⁴ which is a down-payment of our inheritance, to the redemption of the ownership of God to the praise of his glory.

⁷ in order that in the coming ages, he might show the surpassing riches of his grace in kindness upon us in Christ Jesus.

⁸ This grace was given to me the least of all the holy-ones, to proclaim the good-news of the untraceable riches of Christ among the Gentiles; ⁹ and to enlighten all with what the stewardship of the mystery is, of which has been hidden from the ages, in God who created all things through Jesus Christ; ¹⁰ in order that now the multifaceted wisdom of God might be made known to the principalities and the authorities in the heavenly places through the congregation of believers. \ulnone\nosupersub

²⁷ To whom God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, who is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

¹⁰ whenever he may come to be glorified in his holy-ones, and to be marveled at in that day in all those who have believed, (because our testimony to you was believed).

¹² in order that you should not become sluggish, but imitators of those who are inheriting the promises through faith and patience.
¹³ For when God promised to Abraham, since he was holding no one greater to swear according to, he swore according to himself, ¹⁴ saying, Absolutely in blessing, I will bless you and multiplying, I will multiply you. ¹⁵ And thus Abraham, having had patience, obtained the promise. ¹⁶ For indeed, men swear according to the greater and the oath made for confirmation is an end in every dispute of theirs. ¹⁷ In which God, planning to show even-more to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable will of his plan, intermediated this with an oath; ¹⁸ in order that through two unchangeable matters, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge, to take-hold of the hope that lays before us. ¹⁹ This hope which we have as an anchor of the soul, is both secure and steadfast and entering into the inner side of the curtain;

⁶ But he whose genealogy is not traced from them has taken-tithes of Abraham and has blessed the one who has the promises.

¹⁰ being only fleshly ordinances, (upon the basis of foods, drinks and assorted ceremonial washings), laid upon us till a time of reformation.
¹¹ But Christ came as a high-priest of the future good things, through the greater and more complete tabernacle, not made with hands, that is, not of this creation, ¹² nor through the blood of male-goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the holy of holies, having found everlasting redemption. ¹³ For if the blood of male-goats and oxen and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling those who have been desecrated, makes one holy toward the cleanness of the flesh; ¹⁴ how much more the blood of Christ, (who through the everlasting Spirit offered himself unblemished to God), will be cleansing your conscience from dead works, that you may give-divine service to the living God.
¹⁵ And because of this, he is the intermediary of a new covenant, that his death having happened for the redemption of the transgressions that were against the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the everlasting inheritance.

¹³ These all died according to faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them and having greeted them from farther out and having confessed that they are strangers and travelers upon the earth.

³⁹ And all these, having been testified of through the faith,
did not get the promise, ⁴⁰ God having foreseen something better concerning us, in order that they should not be completed separate from us.

¹² To whom it was revealed, that they were serving these things not to themselves, but to you; which things now have been reported to you through those who proclaimed the good-news to you in the Holy Spirit, when he was sent forth from heaven; into which things messengers desire to peer into.

²⁴ Therefore let what you have heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you have heard from the beginning abides in you, you will also be abiding in the Son and in the Father. ²⁵ And this is the promise which he promised to us–everlasting life.

¹¹ And the testimony is this, that God gave to us everlasting life and this life is in his Son.

¹² saying, Assuredly, the thanks and the glory and the wisdom and the thanksgiving and the honor and the power and the strength is to our God, forevermore. Amen.

²³ A man's goings are established by Jehovah and he delights in his way. ²⁴ Because if he falls, he will not be utterly cast down, because Jehovah upholds him with his hand.

⁷ You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your companions.

⁵ Yes, of Zion it will be said, this and that man was born in her and the Most High himself will establish her.

⁴ Your seed I will establish everlasting and build up your throne to all generations. Selah.

⁷ Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from hereafter until everlasting. The zeal of Jehovah of hosts will perform this.

⁸ Jehovah says thus, In an acceptable time I have heard you and in a day of salvation I have helped you. And I will preserve you and give you for a covenant of the people, to raise up the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritages,

²¹ And as for me, this is my covenant with them, says Jehovah: My Spirit that is upon you and my words which I have put in your mouth, will not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your seed, nor out of the mouth of your seed's seed, says Jehovah, from now and until everlasting.

¹ The Spirit of the lord Jehovah is upon me, because Jehovah has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind and the opening of bonds to those who are bound,

⁷ and give him no rest, till he establishes and till he makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

³⁴ For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God does not give the Spirit from measure.

³⁸ Jesus who was from Nazareth; how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went through out the land working good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with him.

⁹ But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God is dwelling in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his.

²⁵ (14:24) Now to the one who is able to establish you^\'b0 according to my good-news and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept-silent in times everlasting, \ulnone\nosupersub

⁷ having been rooted and being built up in him and being confirmed in the faith, just-as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.
⁸ And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will be consuming with the breath of his mouth and will be doing-away-with him by the appearing of his presence;

¹⁷ may comfort your hearts and may establish them in all the word and in good work.

³ But the Lord is faithful, who will be establishing you and will be guarding you from the evil one. \ulnone\nosupersub

¹⁰ But the God of all grace, who called you to his everlasting glory in Christ Jesus, when you have suffered a small time, he himself may frame you up, will establish, will strengthen and will found you.

²⁰ And you have an anointing from the Holy One and you know all things.

²⁷ And as for you, the anointing which you received from him abides in you and you have no need that anyone should teach you, but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things and is true and is not a lie and just-as it taught you, you will be abiding in him.

⁶ and he made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father; the glory and the dominion is to him, forevermore. Amen.

¹⁸ I am counseling together with you to buy gold from me, having been refined out of fire, in order that you may be enriched, and in order that you should dress yourself with white garments and in order that the shame of your nakedness should not be manifested to all, and in order that you may anoint your eyes with eye-salve, in order that you may see.

²⁷ Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will be giving to you; for God, the Father, has sealed this one.

¹¹ And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith of which he had in the uncircumcision, that he might be the father of all those who believe, even through uncircumcision, that righteousness might also be counted to them;

¹⁴ For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. ¹⁵ For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the spirit of sonship, in which we cry, Abba, Father. ¹⁶ The Spirit himself is testifying together with our spirit, that we are children of God;

²³ But not only they, but we ourselves also who have the first-fruit of the Spirit, even we ourselves are groaning in ourselves, waiting for our sonship, that is, the redemption of our body.

³⁰ And do not make the Holy Spirit of God sorrowful, in whom you were sealed to the day of redemption.

¹⁹ Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal, ‘The Lord knows those who are his,’

¹⁷ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the congregations. To the one who overcomes, I will be giving to him to eat from the manna which has been hidden and I will be giving him a white voting-pebble and a new name that has been written upon the voting-pebble, which no one knows except he who receives it.

³ saying, Do not hurt the earth, nor the sea, nor the trees, till we might seal the bondservants of our God upon their foreheads.

⁴ And it was said to them in order that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, nor any pale-green thing, nor any tree, except only men who do not have the seal of God upon their foreheads.

⁹ For God is my witness, to whom I am giving-divine service in my spirit in the good-news of his Son, as I constantly make a remembrance of you.

²¹ What do you wish? Should I come to you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of meekness?

⁵ to give such a one to the Adversary for the utter-destruction of the flesh, in order that the spirit might be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

¹⁸ But as God is faithful, our word toward you did not become yes and no.

¹ But I decided this thing for myself, that I wished not to come to you again in sorrow. ² For if I make you sorrowful, who is it who also makes me joyous except he who is made sorrowful from me? ³ And I wrote this same thing to you, in order that, having come to you, I might not have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in all of you, that my joy is the joy of all of you.

² But I am beseeching you (not when I am present) to be courageous with the confidence in which I am reasoning to dare against some who reason us as walking according to the flesh.

⁶ and having in readiness to avenge all disobedience, whenever your obedience is fulfilled.
⁷ Are you looking at things according to their countenance? If anyone has confidence in himself to be Christ’s, let him count this again from within himself, that, just-as he is Christ’s, so are we also Christ’s. ⁸ For even if I am boasting even-more of something concerning our authority (which the Lord gave to us for your building up and not for your demolition), I will not be shamed; ⁹ in order that I may not seem as if I wished to make you fearful through my letters. ¹⁰ Because indeed he says, The letters are weighty and mighty, but the body’s presence is weak and the speech has been nothing special. ¹¹ Let such a one count this, that, such-as we are in word through letters, being absent, such will we also be in work, when we are present.

¹¹ Why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do.

² I have spoken to you beforehand and I do say again like beforehand, being present the second-time and so being absent now, I am writing to warn those who have sinned before and to all the rest, that, if I come again, I will not be sparing them,

¹⁰ I am writing these things because of this, while being absent, in order that I may not need to treat you sharply when being present, according to the authority which the Lord gave me for building up and not for demolition.

²⁰ Now concerning the things which I write to you, behold, in God’s sight, I am not lying.

⁸ For God is my witness, how I am longing-for all of you in the affections of Christ Jesus.

⁵ For just-as you know, (God being witness), we neither previously came in words of flattery, nor in a pretext of greed,

²⁰ of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I gave to the Adversary, in order that they might be disciplined not to blaspheme.

⁸ But do not be called Rabbi; for only one is your leader, the Christ, and you are all brethren. ⁹ Now do not call anyone your father upon the earth; for only one is your Father, the one in the heavens; ¹⁰ nor be called leaders; for only one is your leader–the Christ.

⁴⁹ and may begin to beat his fellow bondservants and to eat and drink with the drunken;

¹² and this is my prayer to be encouraged together among you, through the faith in one another, both yours and mine.

² through whom we also have had our access to this grace in the faith in which we are standing, and we are boasting in hope of the glory of God.

²⁰ Well; they were broken off in their unbelief but you are standing in the faith. Do not be cavalier, but fear;

⁵ Therefore, who is Paul? And who is Apollos? But servants through whom you believed, even as the Lord gave to each.

¹ Now I make known to you brethren, the good-news which I proclaimed to you, which you also received, in which you are also standing,

⁵ For we are not preaching ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord and ourselves as your bondservants because of Jesus.

⁷ (for we are walking through faith, not through sight).

²⁴ But it is essential for the Lord’s bondservant to not quarrel, but to be mild toward all, skilled in teaching, tolerating it when being mistreated, ²⁵ in meekness educating those who are placing themselves in opposition; if maybe God might give them repentance to come to the full knowledge of the truth, ²⁶ and they might sober up out of the snare of the devil, having been caught live by him to that man’s will.

⁸ Be sober! Watch! Your opponent, the devil, like a roaring lion, is walking around seeking whom he may swallow, ⁹ to whom, stand against, solid in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are to be completed in the world by your brotherhood.
