⁵ Turn back and say to Hezekiah the prince of my people, Jehovah says thus, the God of David your father, I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears. Behold, I will heal you. On the third day you will go up to the house of Jehovah.

²⁶ And he said, If you will diligently listen to the voice of Jehovah your God and will do what is right in his eyes and will listen to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases upon you, which I have put upon the Egyptians, because I am Jehovah who heals you.

³⁹ See now that I, even I, am he and there is no god with me. I kill and I make alive. I wound and I heal. And there is none that can deliver out of my hand.

¹⁴ And he said, No, but as captain of the army of Jehovah I have now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped and said to him, What does my lord say to his servant? ¹⁵ And the captain of Jehovah's army said to Joshua, Put off your shoe from your foot, for the place on which you stand is holy. And Joshua did so.

¹⁶ Tomorrow about this time I will send you a man out of the land of Benjamin and you will anoint him to be prince over my people Israel. And he will save my people out of the hand of the Philistines, for I have looked upon my people, because their cry has come to me.

¹ Then Samuel took the vial of oil and poured it upon his head and kissed him and said, Is it not that Jehovah has anointed you to be prince over his inheritance?

² In times past, when Saul was king over us, it was you who led out and brought in Israel. And Jehovah said to you, You will be shepherd of my people Israel and you will be prince over Israel.

³ And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in your heart, for Jehovah is with you.
⁴ And it happened the same night, that the word of Jehovah came to Nathan, saying, ⁵ Go and tell my servant David, Jehovah says thus, Shall you build a house for me to dwell in?

²⁰ Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Jehovah says thus, the God of Israel, You have prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria, I have heard.

⁷ And Isaiah said, Take a cake of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil and he recovered.
⁸ And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, What will be the sign that Jehovah will heal me and that I will go up to the house of Jehovah the third day?

² And Nathan said to David, Do all that is in your heart, for God is with you.
³ And it happened the same night, that the word of God came to Nathan, saying,
⁴ Go and tell David my servant, Jehovah says thus, You will not build for me a house to dwell in.

¹² And behold, God is with us at our head and his priests with the trumpets of alarm to shout an alarm against you*. O sons of Israel, do not fight against Jehovah, the God of your* fathers. For you* will not prosper.

³ For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his father. And in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places and the Asherim and the graven images and the molten images.

¹⁹ He also is chastened with pain upon his bed and with continual strife in his bones, ²⁰ so that his life abhors bread and his soul dainty food. ²¹ His flesh is consumed away that it cannot be seen. And his bones that were not seen stick out.
²² Yes, his soul draws near to the pit and his life to the destroyers.
²³ If there is with him a messenger, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to show to man what is right for him, ²⁴ then God is gracious to him and says, Deliver him from going down to the pit; I have found a ransom. ²⁵ His flesh will be fresher than a child's. He returns to the days of his youth.
²⁶ He prays to God and he is favorable to him, so that he sees his face with joy and he restores to man his righteousness.

¹² Hear my prayer, O Jehovah and listen to my cry. Do not keep silent at my tears, because I am a stranger with you, a traveler, as all my fathers were.

⁸ You number my wanderings. Put my tears into your skin-container. Are they not in your book?

² O you who hear prayer, all flesh will come to you.

¹³ I will come into your house with burnt offerings. I will pay you my vows, ¹⁴ which my lips uttered and my mouth spoke, when I was in distress. ¹⁵ I will offer to you burnt offerings of fat ones, with the incense of rams. I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.

¹⁹ But truly God has heard. He has attended to the voice of my prayer.
²⁰ Kneel to God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor his loving kindness from me.

¹² What shall I render to Jehovah for all his benefits toward me? ¹³ I will take the cup of salvation and call upon the name of Jehovah. ¹⁴ I will pay my vows to Jehovah, yes, in the presence of all his people.

¹⁷ I will not die, but live and declare the works of Jehovah. ¹⁸ Jehovah has disciplined me greatly, but he has not given me over to death.
¹⁹ Open to me the gates of righteousness. I will enter into them. I will give thanks to Jehovah.

⁵ Those who sow in tears will reap in joy.

³ He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds.

⁵ Go and say to Hezekiah, Jehovah says thus, the God of David your father. I have heard your prayer. I have seen your tears. Behold, I will add to your days fifteen years.

²² Hezekiah also had said, What is the sign that I will go up to the house of Jehovah?

³ Incline your* ear and come to me. Hear and your* soul will live. And I will make an everlasting covenant with you*, even the faithful holy things of David.

³² I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

¹³ But the messenger said to him, Do not fear, Zacharias, because your supplication was heard and your wife Elisabeth will be giving-birth to a son to you and you will call his name John.

¹⁴ After these things, Jesus finds him in the temple and said to him, Behold, you have become healthy. Sin no longer, in order that something worse might not happen to you.

¹⁰ For it was suitable for him, because of whom are all things and through whom are all things, having led many sons to glory, to complete the author of their salvation through sufferings.

¹⁴ Is anyone among you sick? Let him invite the elders of the congregation, and let them pray over him, having anointed him with oil in the name of the Lord. ¹⁵ And the vow of the faith will save the one who is weary and the Lord will lift him up, even if he has been practicing sins, it will be forgiven him.

¹⁷ because the Lamb, who is in the midst of the throne, is shepherding them and is guiding them to the springs of waters of life and God will be wiping-away every tear from their eyes.
