⁷ Thus he showed me: And behold, the Lord stood beside a wall made by a plumb-line, with a plumb-line in his hand.

² And he killed* Moab and measured them with the line, making them to lie down on the ground. And he measured two lines to put to death and one full line to keep alive. And the Moabites became servants to David and brought tribute.

¹³ And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria and the plummet of the house of Ahab. And I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.

¹⁷ And I will make justice the line and righteousness the plummet.
And the hail will sweep away the refuge of lies and the waters will overflow the hiding place.

¹ And a reed similar to a rod was given to me and one says, Arise and measure the temple of God and the altar and those who are worshiping in it.

¹⁵ And he, speaking with me, was holding a measure, a golden reed, in order that he might measure the city and its gates and its wall.
