¹ And as for me, in the first year of Darius the Mede, I stood up to confirm and strengthen him.
² And now I will show you the truth. Behold, there will stand up yet three kings in Persia and the fourth will be far richer than them all. And when he has grown strong through his riches, he will stir up all against the realm of Greece. ³ And a mighty king will stand up, who will rule with great dominion and do according to his will.
⁴ And when he will stand up, his kingdom will be broken and will be divided toward the four winds of heaven, but not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion with which he ruled, for his kingdom will be plucked up, even for others besides these.
⁵ And the king of the south will be strong and one of his rulers. And he will be powerful over him and have dominion. His dominion will be a great dominion. ⁶ And at the end of years they will join themselves together. And the daughter of the king of the south will come to the king of the north to make a smoothly agreement, but she will not retain the strength of her arm, nor will he stand, nor his arm. But she will be given up and also those who brought her and he who fathered her and he who strengthened her in those times.
⁷ But out of a shoot from her roots will a man stand up in his place, who will come to the army and will enter into the fortress of the king of the north and will deal against them and will prevail. ⁸ And also their gods, with their molten images and with their desirable vessels of silver and of gold, he will carry captive into Egypt and he will refrain from the king of the north some years.
⁹ And he will come into the realm of the king of the south, but he will return into his own land. ¹⁰ And his sons will war and will assemble a multitude of great forces, which will come on and overflow and pass through. And they will return and war, even to his fortress.
¹¹ And the king of the south will be moved with anger and will come out and fight with him, even with the king of the north. And he will set forth a great multitude and the multitude will be given into his hand. ¹² And the multitude will be lifted up and his heart will be exalted. And he will cast down tens of thousands, but he will not prevail.
¹³ And the king of the north will return and will set forth a multitude greater than the former and he will come on at the end of the times, even of years, with a great army and with much substance. ¹⁴ And in those times many will stand up against the king of the south. Also the sons of the violent among your people will lift themselves up to establish the vision, but they will fall.
¹⁵ So the king of the north will come and cast up a mound and take a well-fortified city. And the forces of the south will not stand, nor his chosen people. Neither will there be any strength to stand. ¹⁶ But he who comes against him will do according to his own will and none will stand before him. And he will stand in the glorious land and in his hand will be destruction.
¹⁷ And he will set his face to come with the strength of his whole kingdom and with him equitable conditions and he will perform them. And he will give him the daughter of women, to corrupt her, but she will not stand, nor be for him.
¹⁸ After this he will turn his face to the isles and will take many. But a ruler will cause the reproach offered by him to cease. Yes, moreover, he will cause his reproach to turn upon him. ¹⁹ Then he will turn his face toward the fortresses of his own land, but he will stumble and fall and will not be found.
²⁰ Then someone will stand up in his place, a tax oppressor to pass through, for the glory of the kingdom, but within a few days he will be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.
²¹ And in his place he who is contemptible will stand up, to whom they had not given the honor of the kingdom. But he will come in time of security and will obtain the kingdom by flatteries. ²² And the overwhelming forces will be overwhelmed from before him and will be broken, yes, also the ruler of the covenant.
²³ And after the league made with him, he will work deceitfully, for he will come up and will become strong, with a small people. ²⁴ He will come in time of security even upon the fattest places of the province and he will do what his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers. He will scatter among them prey and spoil and substance. Yes, he will devise his devices against the strongholds, even for a time.
²⁵ And he will stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army. And the king of the south will war in battle with a very great and mighty army, but he will not stand, for they will devise devices against him. ²⁶ Yes, those who eat of his food will destroy him and his army will overflow and many will fall down slain.
²⁷ And as for both these kings, their hearts will be to do mischief and they will speak lies at one table. But it will not prosper, for yet the end will be at the time appointed. ²⁸ Then he will return into his land with great substance. And his heart will be against the holy covenant and he will do his pleasure and return to his own land.
²⁹ At the time appointed he will return and come into the south, but it will not be in the latter time as it was in the former. ³⁰ For ships of Kittim will come against him. Therefore he will be grieved and will return and have indignation against the holy covenant and will do his pleasure. He will even return and have regard to those who forsake the holy covenant.
³¹ And forces will stand on his part and they will profane the sanctuary, even the fortress and will take away the continual burnt offering and they will set up the abomination that makes desolate. ³² And he will pervert by flatteries such as do wickedly against the covenant. But the people who know their God will be strong and do exploits. ³³ And those who are wise among the people will instruct many, yet they will fall by the sword and by flame, by captivity and by spoil, many days.
³⁴ Now when they will fall, they will be helped with a little help, but many will join themselves to them with flatteries. ³⁵ And some of those who are wise will fall, to refine them and to purify and to make them white, even to the time of the end, because it is yet for the time appointed.
³⁶ And the king will do according to his will. And he will exalt himself and magnify himself above every god and will speak marvelous things against the God of gods. And he will prosper till the indignation be accomplished, for what is determined will be done. ³⁷ Neither will he regard the gods of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god, for he will magnify himself above all.
³⁸ But in his place he will honor the god of fortresses. And a god whom his fathers did not know, he will honor with gold and silver and with precious stones and desirable things. ³⁹ And he will deal with the strongest fortresses by the help of a foreign god. Whoever acknowledges him he will increase with glory and he will cause them to rule over many and will divide the land for a price.
⁴⁰ And at the time of the end, the king of the south will contend with him and the king of the north will come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots and with horsemen and with many ships and he will enter into the countries and will overflow and pass through.
⁴¹ He will also enter into the glorious land and many countries will be overthrown. But these will be delivered out of his hand: Edom and Moab and the chief of the sons of Ammon.
⁴² He will stretch forth his hand also upon the countries and the land of Egypt will not escape. ⁴³ But he will have power over the treasures of gold and of silver and over all the desirable things of Egypt. And the Libyans and the Ethiopians will be at his steps.
⁴⁴ But news out of the east and out of the north will trouble him and he will go forth with great fury to destroy and to utterly sweep away many. ⁴⁵ And he will plant the tents of his palace between the sea and the glorious holy mountain, yet he will come to his end and none will help him.

³¹ And Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about sixty-two years old.

¹ In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans,

¹⁸ Then someone like the appearance of a man touched me again and he strengthened me.

²² further strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to remain in the faith, and that it is essential for us through many afflictions to enter into the kingdom of God.

⁵ and hired counselors against them to frustrate their purpose all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia. ⁶ And in the reign of Ahasuerus, in the beginning of his reign, they wrote an accusation against the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem.

⁶ Therefore pride is as a chain around their neck. Violence covers them as a garment.
⁷ Their eyes stand out with fatness. They have more than heart could wish.

²¹ to make you know the certainty of the words of truth, that you may carry back words of truth to those who send you?

⁵ And behold, another beast, a second, like a bear and it was raised up on one side and three ribs were in its mouth between its teeth. And they said thus to it: Arise, devour much flesh.

⁴ I saw the ram pushing westward and northward and southward and no beasts could stand before him, nor was there any that could deliver out of his hand, but he did according to his will and magnified himself.

²⁶ And the vision of the evenings and mornings which has been told is true. But shut up the vision, for it belongs to many days to come.

¹ In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed to Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar and the thing was true, even a great warfare. And he understood the thing and had understanding of the vision.

²⁰ Then he said, Do you know why I have come to you? And now I will return to fight with the ruler of Persia. And when I go forth behold, the ruler of Greece will come.
²¹ But I will tell you what is inscribed in the writing of truth. And there is none who holds with me against these, but Michael your* prince.

²⁵ And he will stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army. And the king of the south will war in battle with a very great and mighty army, but he will not stand, for they will devise devices against him.

⁷ Surely the lord Jehovah will do nothing unless he reveals his secret to his servants the prophets.

³⁵ If he called those men gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture is not able to be torn-down),

³⁷ Therefore Pilate said to him, Therefore are you not a king?
Jesus answered, You are saying that I am a king. I have been born to this end and I have come into the world to this end, in order that I might testify to the truth. Everyone who is from the truth hears my voice.
³⁸ Pilate says to him, What is truth? And having said this, he went out again to the Jews and says to them, I am finding no crime in him.

⁵ And he who sits upon the throne said, Behold, I am making all things new. And he says to me, Write, because these are the faithful and true words.

³⁵ And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing and he does according to his will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth. And none can stay his hand, or say to him, What are you doing?

¹⁹ And because of the greatness that he gave him, all the peoples, nations and languages trembled and feared before him. Whom he wanted, he killed and whom he wanted, he kept alive and whom he wanted, he raised up and whom he wanted, he put down.

⁶ After this I beheld, and behold, another, like a leopard, which had upon its back four wings of a bird. The beast also had four heads and dominion was given to it.

⁴ I saw the ram pushing westward and northward and southward and no beasts could stand before him, nor was there any that could deliver out of his hand, but he did according to his will and magnified himself.
⁵ And as I was considering, behold, a male-goat came from the west over the face of the whole earth and did not touch the ground. And the goat had a notable horn between his eyes. ⁶ And he came to the ram that had the two horns, which I saw standing before the river and ran upon him in the fury of his power.
⁷ And I saw him come close to the ram. And he was moved with anger against him and killed* the ram and broke his two horns. And there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground and trampled upon him. And there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.
⁸ And the male-goat magnified himself exceedingly. And when he was strong, the great horn was broken and instead of it there came up four notable horns toward the four winds of heaven.
⁹ And out of one of them came out a little horn, which grew exceedingly great, toward the south and toward the east and toward the glorious land. ¹⁰ And it grew great, even to the host of heaven. And it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground and trampled upon them.
¹¹ Yes, it magnified itself, even to the Prince of the host. And it took away from him the continual burnt offering and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. ¹² And the host was given over to it together with the continual burnt offering through transgression. And it cast down truth to the ground and it did its pleasure and prospered.
¹³ Then I heard a holy one speaking and another holy one said to that certain one who spoke, How long will be the vision of the continual burnt offering and the transgression that make desolate, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? ¹⁴ And he said to me, To two thousand and three hundred evenings and mornings. Then the sanctuary will be cleansed.

²¹ And the rough male-goat is the king of Greece. And the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.

¹⁶ But he who comes against him will do according to his own will and none will stand before him. And he will stand in the glorious land and in his hand will be destruction.

³⁶ And the king will do according to his will. And he will exalt himself and magnify himself above every god and will speak marvelous things against the God of gods. And he will prosper till the indignation be accomplished, for what is determined will be done.

¹¹ In him in whom, we were also made an inheritance, having been predetermined according to the purpose of the one who is working all things after the plan of his will.

⁴ God was testifying together with them, both by signs and by wonders and by various powers and by distributions of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will.

¹⁸ Having willed it, he gave-birth to us with the word of truth, that we might be a certain first-fruit of his created things.

⁵ that the triumphing of the wicked is short and the joy of the profane but for a moment? ⁶ Though his height mounts up to the heavens and his head reaches to the clouds, ⁷ yet he will perish forever like his own manure. Those who have seen him will say, Where is he?

³⁵ I have seen a wicked man in great power and spreading himself like a green tree in its native soil. ³⁶ But I passed by, and behold, he was not. Yes, I sought him, but he could not be found.

⁶ Surely every man walks in a shadow. Surely they are in an uproar in vain. He heaps up and does not know who will gather them.

⁶ Those who trust in their wealth and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches, ⁷ none can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him ⁸ (for the redemption of their life is costly and it fails everlasting), ⁹ that he should still live always, that he should not see corruption. ¹⁰ Because he will see it.
Wise men die. The fool and the stupid alike perish and leave their wealth to others. ¹¹ Their inward thought is that their houses are everlasting, their dwelling-places to all generations. They call their lands after their own names.
¹² Even a man in splendor does not abide. He is like the beasts that perish.

¹⁷ until I went into the sanctuary of God and considered their latter end.
¹⁸ Surely you set them in slippery places. You cast them down to destruction. ¹⁹ How they have become a desolation in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors.
²⁰ As a dream from awakening, O Lord, when you waken, you will despise their form.

¹⁸ And I hated all my labor in which I labored under the sun, seeing that I must leave it to the man who will be after me. ¹⁹ And who knows whether he will be a wise man or a fool? Yet he will have rule over all my labor in which I have labored and in which I have shown myself wise under the sun. This also is vanity.

⁸ There is one man who is alone and he has not a second, yes, he has neither son nor brother. Yet there is no end of all his labor, nor are his eyes satisfied with riches. And he says, whom then do I labor and deprive my soul of good? This also is vanity, yes, it is a great task.

¹⁵ And it will happen, after I have plucked them up, I will return and have compassion on them. And I will bring them again, each man to his heritage and each man to his land.

¹⁷ But if they will not hear, then I will pluck up that nation, plucking up and destroying it, says Jehovah.

⁷ At that instant I will speak concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up and to break down and to destroy it,

⁴⁰ And the whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes and all the fields, to the brook Kidron, to the corner of the horse gate toward the east, will be holy to Jehovah. It will not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more everlasting.

⁴ Thus you will say to him, Jehovah says thus: Behold, what I have built I will break down and what I have planted I will pluck up and this in the whole land.

² Daniel spoke and said, I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven broke forth upon the great sea.

⁸ I considered the horns, and behold, there came up among them another horn, a little one, before which three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots. And behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth speaking great things.

⁸ And the male-goat magnified himself exceedingly. And when he was strong, the great horn was broken and instead of it there came up four notable horns toward the four winds of heaven.

²² And as for what was broken, in the place of which four stood up, four kingdoms will stand up out of the nation, but not with his power.

²⁵ But Jesus knowing their contemplations said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself is made desolate, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.

²⁰ But God said to him, Fool, your soul is asked back from you in this night, and the things which you prepared, whose will they be?

³ And a mighty king will stand up, who will rule with great dominion and do according to his will.

⁵ His ways are profane at all times. Your judgments are far above out of his sight. As for all his adversaries, he snorts at them.

²¹ Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh King of Egypt. And behold, it has not been bound up, to apply medicines, to put a bandage to bind it, that it is strong to hold the sword.

⁸ After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land that is brought back from the sword, that is gathered out of many peoples, upon the mountains of Israel, which have been a continual waste, but it is brought forth out of the peoples and they will dwell securely, all of them. ⁹ And you will ascend. You will come like a storm. You will be like a cloud to cover the land, you and all your hordes and many peoples with you.

⁷ But out of a shoot from her roots will a man stand up in his place, who will come to the army and will enter into the fortress of the king of the north and will deal against them and will prevail.

¹³ And the king of the north will return and will set forth a multitude greater than the former and he will come on at the end of the times, even of years, with a great army and with much substance.

¹⁵ So the king of the north will come and cast up a mound and take a well-fortified city. And the forces of the south will not stand, nor his chosen people. Neither will there be any strength to stand. ¹⁶ For behold, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, who will not visit those who are cut off, nor will he seek those who are scattered, nor heal what is broken, nor nourish what is standing, but he will eat the flesh of the fat and will tear their hoofs in pieces.

⁷ For there is hope of a tree, if it is cut down, that it will sprout again and that the offshoots of it will not cease.

¹⁰ Because he will see it.

²³ But you, O God, will bring them down into the pit of destruction. Bloodthirsty and deceitful men will not live out half their days, but I will trust in you.

⁸ Let his days be few and let another take his office.

¹⁴ Therefore Jehovah will cut off from Israel head and tail, palm-branch and rush, in one day.

¹ And there will come out a shoot out of the stock of Jesse. And a branch out of his roots will bear fruit.

² You have planted them. Yes, they have taken root, they grow. Yes, they bring forth fruit. You are near in their mouth and far from their heart. But you, O Jehovah, know me. You see me and try my heart toward you.

¹⁸ For he has despised the oath by breaking the covenant. And behold, he had given his hand and yet has done all these things. He will not escape.

¹⁹ Then he will turn his face toward the fortresses of his own land, but he will stumble and fall and will not be found.
²⁰ Then someone will stand up in his place, a tax oppressor to pass through, for the glory of the kingdom, but within a few days he will be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.

³⁸ But in his place he will honor the god of fortresses. ¹ For, behold, the day comes, it burns as a furnace and all the proud and all who work wickedness, will be stubble. And the day that comes will burn them up, says Jehovah of hosts, that it will leave them neither root nor branch.

³⁰ And now, though you have certainly gone, because you have been very desirous for your father's house, yet why have you stolen my gods?

¹² For I will go through the land of Egypt in that night and will kill* all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments. I am Jehovah.

⁴ while the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn whom Jehovah had struck among them; upon their gods also Jehovah executed judgments.

³ And you* will break down their altars and dash in pieces their pillars and burn their Asherim with fire. And you* will hew down the graven images of their gods and you* will destroy their name out of that place.

²⁴ And he said, you* have taken away my gods which I made and the priest and have gone away and what have I more? And how do you* then say to me, What troubles you?

¹⁶ and upon all the ships of Tarshish and upon all desirable imagery.

¹⁹ and have cast their gods into the fire. For they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone. Therefore they have destroyed them.

¹ Bel bows down, Nebo stoops, their idols are upon the beasts and upon the cattle. The things that you* carried about are made a load, a burden to the weary beast. ² They stoop, they bow down together. They could not deliver the burden, but themselves are gone into captivity.

¹² And I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt and he will burn them and carry them away captive. And he will array himself with the land of Egypt as a shepherd puts on his garment and he will go forth from there in peace. ¹³ He will also break the pillars of Beth-shemesh that is in the land of Egypt. And the houses of the gods of Egypt he will burn with fire.

²⁵ Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, says, Behold, I will punish Amon of No and Pharaoh and Egypt, with their gods and their kings, even Pharaoh and those who trust in him.

² And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God. And he carried them into the land of Shinar to the house of his god and he brought the vessels into the treasure-house of his god.
³ And the king spoke to Ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring in certain of the sons of Israel, even of the seed royal and of the ranking men,

³ I ate no desirable bread. Neither flesh nor wine came into my mouth. Neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.

⁶ For even this is from Israel: the workman made it and it is no God. Yes, the calf of Samaria will be broken in pieces.

⁵ The inhabitants of Samaria will be in terror for the calves of Beth-aven. For the people of it will mourn over it and the priests of it, who rejoiced over it for the glory of it, because it has departed from it. ⁶ It will also be carried to Assyria for a present to King Jareb. Ephraim will receive shame and Israel will be ashamed of his own counsel.

¹⁵ Though he is fruitful among his brothers, an east wind will come, the breath of Jehovah coming up from the wilderness and his spring will become dry and his fountain will be dried up. He will make spoil of the treasure of all desirable vessels.

⁷ now therefore, behold, the Lord brings up upon them the waters of the River, strong and many, even the king of Assyria and all his glory. And it will come up over all its channels and go over all its banks, ⁸ and it will sweep onward into Judah. It will overflow and pass through; it will reach even to the neck. And the stretching out of its wings will fill the breadth of your land, O Immanuel.

¹² And the high fortress of your walls he has brought down, laid low and brought to the ground, even to the dust.

⁷ Who is this that rises up like the Nile, whose waters toss themselves like the rivers? ⁸ Egypt rises up like the Nile and his waters toss themselves like the rivers. And he says, I will rise up. I will cover the earth. I will destroy cities and the inhabitants of it.

⁴² The sea has come up upon Babylon. She is covered with the multitude of the waves of it.

²⁶ And after the sixty-two weeks the anointed one will be cut off and will have nothing. And the people of the prince who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary and the end of it will be with a flood. And even to the end will be war; desolations are determined.

²² And the overwhelming forces will be overwhelmed from before him and will be broken, yes, also the ruler of the covenant.

²⁶ Yes, those who eat of his food will destroy him and his army will overflow and many will fall down slain.

¹³ And behold, a prophet came near to Ahab King of Israel and said, Jehovah says thus, Have you seen all this great multitude? Behold, I will deliver it into your hand this day and you will know that I am Jehovah.

²⁸ And a man of God came near and spoke to the King of Israel and said, Jehovah says thus, Because the Syrians have said, Jehovah is a god of the hills, but he is not a god of the valleys, therefore I will deliver all this great multitude into your hand and you* will know that I am Jehovah.

¹⁶ There is no king saved by the multitude of an army. A mighty man is not delivered by great strength. ¹⁷ A horse is a vain thing for safety, nor does he deliver any by his great power.

¹⁰ Surely the inward thought of man will praise you, even the residue of inward thought will observe a festival to you.

¹¹ I returned and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill, but time and chance happens to them all. ¹² Because man also does not know his time. As the fishes that are taken in an evil net and as the birds that are caught in the snare, even so are the sons of men snared in an evil time when it falls suddenly upon them.

⁶ And now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant. And the beasts of the field I have also given him to serve him.

³⁸ And wherever the sons of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the birds of the heavens, he has given into your hand and has made you to rule over them all. You are the head of gold.

⁷ And I saw him come close to the ram. And he was moved with anger against him and killed* the ram and broke his two horns. And there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground and trampled upon him. And there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.

⁵ And the king of the south will be strong and one of his rulers. And he will be powerful over him and have dominion. His dominion will be a great dominion.

⁹ And he will come into the realm of the king of the south, but he will return into his own land. ¹⁰ And his sons will war and will assemble a multitude of great forces, which will come on and overflow and pass through. And they will return and war, even to his fortress.

⁴⁴ But news out of the east and out of the north will trouble him and he will go forth with great fury to destroy and to utterly sweep away many.

¹⁴ then your heart be lifted up and you forget Jehovah your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage,

¹⁰ You have indeed struck Edom and your heart has lifted you up. Glory by it and abide at home, for why should you meddle to your hurt, that you should fall, even you and Judah with you?

¹⁹ You say, Behold, I have struck Edom. And your heart lifts you up to boast. Remain now at home. Why should you meddle to your hurt, that you should fall, even you and Judah with you?

¹⁶ But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up, so that he did corruptly and he trespassed against Jehovah his God. For he went into the temple of Jehovah to burn incense upon the altar of incense.

²⁵ But Hezekiah did not render again according to the benefit done to him. For his heart was lifted up. Therefore there was wrath upon him and upon Judah and Jerusalem.

¹⁸ Pride is before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.

⁷ However he does not so reason, nor does his heart so think, but it is in his heart to destroy and to cut off nations not a few. ⁸ For he says, Are not my rulers all of them kings? ⁹ Is not Calno as Carchemish? Is not Hamath as Arpad? Is not Samaria as Damascus? ¹⁰ As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols, whose graven images excelled those of Jerusalem and of Samaria, ¹¹ shall I not, as I have done to Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?
¹² Therefore it will happen, that, when the Lord has performed his whole work upon Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria and the glory of his high looks.

² Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre, The lord Jehovah says thus: Because your heart is lifted up and you have said, I am a god. I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas. Yet you are man and not God, though you did set your heart as the heart of God.

⁵ By your great wisdom and by your traffic you have increased your riches. And your heart is lifted up because of your riches.

¹⁷ Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty. You have corrupted your wisdom because of your brightness. I have cast you to the ground. I have laid you before kings, that they may behold you.

¹⁹ And because of the greatness that he gave him, all the peoples, nations and languages trembled and feared before him. Whom he wanted, he killed and whom he wanted, he kept alive and whom he wanted, he raised up and whom he wanted, he put down.
²⁰ But when his heart was lifted up and his spirit was hardened so that he dealt proudly, he was deposed from his kingly throne. And they took his glory from him,

²³ but have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven. And they have brought the vessels of his house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of brass, iron, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor know. And the God in whose hand your breath is and whose are all your ways, you have not glorified.

²⁵ And through his policy he will cause deceit to prosper in his hand and he will magnify himself in his heart. And he will destroy many in their security. He will also stand up against the Prince of princes, but he will be broken without a hand.

⁴ Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright in him. (But the righteous man will live by his faith.) ⁵ Yes, moreover, wine is treacherous. He is a haughty man, who does not keep at home, who enlarges his desire as Sheol and he is as death and cannot be satisfied, but gathers to him all nations and heaps to him all peoples.
⁶ Shall not all these take up a parable against him and a taunting proverb against him and say, Woe to him who increases what is not his (how long?) and who loads himself with pledges!

²² Now the public was shouting out, saying, This is a voice of a god and not of a man! ²³ But instantly a messenger of the Lord struck him, because he did not give God the glory and he expired, having become maggot-eaten.

⁶ not a new-convert, (in order that when he is puffed up, he might not fall into the condemnation of the devil).

⁵ Likewise, the younger ones, be subject to the elder ones. But all of you be subject to one another, clothe yourselves with humility, because ‘God resists the haughty, but is giving grace to the humble.’

¹⁶ Let his heart be changed from man's and let a beast's heart be given to him. And let seven times pass over him.

⁶ And at the end of years they will join themselves together. And the daughter of the king of the south will come to the king of the north to make a smoothly agreement, but she will not retain the strength of her arm, nor will he stand, nor his arm. But she will be given up and also those who brought her and he who fathered her and he who strengthened her in those times.
⁷ But out of a shoot from her roots will a man stand up in his place, who will come to the army and will enter into the fortress of the king of the north and will deal against them and will prevail.

⁷ And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven and swore by him who lives everlasting that it will be for a time, times and a half. And when they have made an end of smashing the power of the holy people, all these things will be finished.

²⁵ who through the mouth of our father David your young-servant, said, ‘Why do the Gentiles rage and the peoples meditate on empty things? ²⁶ The kings of the earth stood up and the rulers were gathered in the same place, against the Lord and against his Christ.’ ²⁷ For against truth, against your holy young-servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, together with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, were gathered together ²⁸ to do as many things as your hand and your council predetermined to happen.

¹⁷ For God gave to their hearts to do his intention and to do it with one intention and to give their kingdom to the beast, till the words of God should be completed.

⁵ There will not any man be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not fail you, nor forsake you.

³⁰ There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against Jehovah.
³¹ The horse is prepared against the day of battle, but victory is from Jehovah.

¹⁰ Go up upon her walls and destroy, but make not a full end. Take away her branches, for they are not Jehovah's.

⁶ For thus has Jehovah of hosts said: Hew you* down trees and cast up a mound against Jerusalem. This is the city to be visited. She has oppression completely in the midst of her.

⁴ For Jehovah says thus, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are broken down to defend against the mounds and against the sword,

⁴ And it happened in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army against Jerusalem and encamped against it. And they built forts against it all around.

² And lay siege against it and build forts against it and cast up a mound against it. Also set camps against it and plant battering rams against it all around.

¹⁷ Nor will Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company help him in the war when they cast up mounds and build forts to cut off many persons.

⁶ And at the end of years they will join themselves together. And the daughter of the king of the south will come to the king of the north to make a smoothly agreement, but she will not retain the strength of her arm, nor will he stand, nor his arm. But she will be given up and also those who brought her and he who fathered her and he who strengthened her in those times.

⁸ and it will sweep onward into Judah. It will overflow and pass through; it will reach even to the neck. And the stretching out of its wings will fill the breadth of your land, O Immanuel.

¹⁹ But I said, How I will put you among the sons and give you a desirable land, a pleasant heritage of the hosts of the nations! And I said, You* will call me My Father and will not turn away from following me.

⁹ And out of one of them came out a little horn, which grew exceedingly great, toward the south and toward the east and toward the glorious land.

³ And a mighty king will stand up, who will rule with great dominion and do according to his will.

⁴¹ He will also enter into the glorious land and many countries will be overthrown. But these will be delivered out of his hand: Edom and Moab and the chief of the sons of Ammon.

⁴⁵ And he will plant the tents of his palace between the sea and the glorious holy mountain, yet he will come to his end and none will help him.

¹⁷ Then Hazael king of Syria went up and fought against Gath and took it. And Hazael set his face to go up to Jerusalem.

³ And Jehoshaphat was afraid and set himself to seek for Jehovah. And he proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.

⁹ Then will my enemies turn back in the day that I call. This I know, that God is for me.

²¹ There are many devices in a man's heart, but the counsel of Jehovah, that will stand.

³ And take to you an iron pan and set it for a wall of iron between you and the city. And set your face toward it and it will be besieged and you will lay siege against it. This will be a sign to the house of Israel.

⁷ And you will set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem, with your arm uncovered and you will prophesy against it.

² Son of man, set your face toward the sons of Ammon and prophesy against them.

¹⁹ Then he will turn his face toward the fortresses of his own land, but he will stumble and fall and will not be found.

³⁰ He who is not with me is against me and he who is not gathering with me scatters.

⁵¹ Now it happened, when the days were being fulfilled of his taking up, he established his face to travel to Jerusalem,

²³ He who is not with me is against me, and he who is not gathering with me, scatters.

³¹ Therefore what will we say to these things? If God is working on our behalf, who is against us?

⁴ And the sons of Javan were : Elishah and Tarshish, Kittim and Dodanim.
⁵ From these were the islands of the nations divided in their lands, every man according to his tongue, according to their families, in their nations.

⁷ And Adoni-bezek said, Seventy kings, having their thumbs and their great toes cut off, gathered scraps under my table. As I have done, so God has requited me. And they brought him to Jerusalem and he died there.

¹⁹ And I will set a sign among them and I will send such as escape of them to the nations, to Tarshish, Pul and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, to the isles afar off, who have not heard my fame, nor have seen my glory and they will declare my glory among the nations.

¹⁰ For pass over to the isles of Kittim and see and send to Kedar and consider diligently and see if there has been such a thing.

¹⁰ Hear the word of Jehovah, O you* nations and declare it in the isles afar off and say, He who scattered Israel will gather him and keep him, as a shepherd does his flock.

⁶ Of the oaks of Bashan they have made your oars. They have made your benches of ivory inlaid in boxwood, from the isles of Kittim.

¹⁴ Ephraim has provoked to anger most bitterly. Therefore his blood will be left upon him and his reproach his Lord will return to him.

¹¹ Jehovah will be terrible to them, for he will famish all the gods of the earth. And men will worship him, everyone from his place, even all the isles of the nations.

² For in what judgment you judge, you will be judged and in what measure you measure, it will be measured to you.

⁸ He will fly away as a dream and will not be found. Yes, he will be chased away as a vision of the night.

² When evildoers came upon me to eat up my flesh, even my adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell.

³⁶ But I passed by, and behold, he was not. Yes, I sought him, but he could not be found.

⁶ Do not let the swift flee away, nor the mighty man escape. In the north by the river Euphrates they have stumbled and fallen.

²¹ I will make you a horror and you will no more have any being. Though you are sought for, yet you will not be found again everlasting, says the lord Jehovah.

² And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor will release what he has lent to his neighbor. He will not exact it from his neighbor and his brother, because Jehovah's release has been proclaimed. ³ From a foreigner you may exact it, but whatever of your is with your brother, your hand will release.

³⁵ And Jehoiakim gave the silver and the gold to Pharaoh, but he taxed the land to give the money according to the commandment of Pharaoh. He exacted the silver and the gold from the people of the land, of every one according to his taxation, to give it to Pharaoh Neco.

³³ Because the churning of milk brings forth butter and the wringing of the nose brings forth blood, so the forcing of wrath brings forth strife.

¹⁷ For brass I will bring gold and for iron I will bring silver and for wood brass and for stones iron. I will also make your officers peace and your overseers righteousness.

²¹ And in his place he who is contemptible will stand up, to whom they had not given the honor of the kingdom. But he will come in time of security and will obtain the kingdom by flatteries.

¹ And Abimelech the son of Jerubbaal went to Shechem to his mother's brothers and spoke with them and with all the family of the house of his mother's father, saying, ² Speak, I beseech you*, in the ears of all the men of Shechem, Which is better for you*, that all the sons of Jerubbaal, who are seventy men, rule over you*, or that one rule over you*? Remember also that I am your* bone and your* flesh.
³ And his mother's brothers spoke of him in the ears of all the men of Shechem all these words. And their hearts inclined to follow Abimelech, for they said, He is our brother. ⁴ And they gave him seventy pieces of silver out of the house of Baal-berith, with which Abimelech hired vain and unstable fellows who followed him.
⁵ And he went to his father's house at Ophrah and killed his brothers the sons of Jerubbaal, being seventy men, upon one stone, but Jotham the youngest son of Jerubbaal was left, for he hid himself.
⁶ And all the men of Shechem assembled themselves together and all the Beth-millo and went and made Abimelech king by the oak of the pillar that was in Shechem. ⁷ And when they told it to Jotham, he went and stood on the top of Mount Gerizim and lifted up his voice and cried out and said to them, Listen to me, you* men of Shechem, that God may listen to you*.
⁸ The trees went forth a time to anoint a king over them. And they said to the olive tree, Reign over us. ⁹ But the olive tree said to them, Should I leave my fatness with which by me they honor God and man and go to wave to and fro over the trees? ¹⁰ And the trees said to the fig tree, You come and reign over us. ¹¹ But the fig tree said to them, Should I leave my sweetness and my good fruit and go to wave to and fro over the trees?
¹² And the trees said to the vine, You come and reign over us. ¹³ And the vine said to them, Should I leave my new wine, which cheers God and man and go to wave to and fro over the trees?
¹⁴ Then all the trees said to the bramble, You come and reign over us. ¹⁵ And the bramble said to the trees, If in truth you* anoint me king over you*, then come and take refuge in my shade and if not, let fire come out of the bramble and devour the cedars of Lebanon.
¹⁶ Now therefore, if you* have dealt truly and uprightly, in that you* have made Abimelech king and if you* have dealt well with Jerubbaal and his house and have done to him according to the deed of his hands ¹⁷ (for my father fought for you* and ventured his life and delivered you* out of the hand of Midian, ¹⁸ and you* have risen up against my father's house this day and have slain his sons, seventy men, upon one stone and have made Abimelech, the son of his maid-servant, king over the men of Shechem because he is your* brother), ¹⁹ if you* then have dealt truly and uprightly with Jerubbaal and with his house this day, then rejoice in Abimelech and let him also rejoice in you*.
²⁰ But if not, let fire come out from Abimelech and devour the men of Shechem and Beth-millo and devour Abimelech.

¹³ For I have told him that I will judge his house everlasting, for the iniquity which he knew, because his sons brought a curse upon themselves and he did not restrain them.

² And Absalom rose up early and stood beside the way of the gate. And it was so, that, when any man had a suit which should come to the king for judgment, then Absalom called to him and said, Of what city are you? And he said, Your servant is of one of the tribes of Israel. ³ And Absalom said to him, See, your matters are good and right, but there is no man appointed by the king to hear you. ⁴ Absalom said moreover, Oh that I were made judge in the land, that every man who has any suit or case might come to me and I would do for him justice!
⁵ And it was so, that, when any man came near to him bowed-down, he put forth his hand and took hold of him and kissed him. ⁶ And on this manner Absalom did to all Israel who came to the king for judgment. So Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.

⁸ The wicked walk on every side when vileness is exalted among the sons of men.

⁴ in whose eyes those who reject God are despised, but who honors those who fear Jehovah, he that swears to his own hurt and changes not,

²¹ His mouth was smooth as butter, but his heart was war. His words were softer than oil, yet they were drawn swords.

⁵ The fool will no more be called noble, nor the churl said to be bountiful.

²³ And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors have come to the full, a king of fierce countenance and understanding hidden things, will stand up.

²⁰ Then someone will stand up in his place, a tax oppressor to pass through, for the glory of the kingdom, but within a few days he will be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.

³² And he will pervert by flatteries such as do wickedly against the covenant. But the people who know their God will be strong and do exploits.

³⁴ Now when they will fall, they will be helped with a little help, but many will join themselves to them with flatteries.

¹⁴ And Jehovah has given commandment concerning you, that no more of your name be sown. Out of the house of your gods I will cut off the graven image and the molten image. I will make your grave, for you are vile.

¹⁰ And it grew great, even to the host of heaven. And it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground and trampled upon them.
¹¹ Yes, it magnified itself, even to the Prince of the host. And it took away from him the continual burnt offering and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.

¹⁰ And his sons will war and will assemble a multitude of great forces, which will come on and overflow and pass through. And they will return and war, even to his fortress.

⁸ Shall the land not tremble for this and everyone mourn who dwells in it? Yes, it will rise up all of it like the River and it will be troubled and sink again like the River of Egypt.

⁵ For the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, is he who touches the land and it melts and all who dwell in it will mourn. And it will rise up all of it like the River and will sink again like the River of Egypt.

⁸ But with an over running flood he will make a full end of her place and will pursue his enemies into darkness.

¹⁵ And the serpent cast water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, in order that he might make the river whisk her away. ¹⁶ And the earth helped the woman and the earth opened her mouth and swallowed up the river which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

¹³ And the sons of Jacob answered Shechem and Hamor his father with guile and spoke, because he had defiled Dinah their sister,

² Your tongue devises wickedness, like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

¹⁸ A wicked man earns deceitful wages, but he who sows righteousness has a sure reward.

¹³ And he took of the seed royal and made a covenant with him. He also brought him under an oath and took away the mighty of the land, ¹⁴ that the kingdom might be base, that it might not lift itself up, but that by keeping his covenant it might stand.
¹⁵ But he rebelled against him in sending his ambassadors into Egypt that they might give him horses and many people. Shall he prosper? Shall he escape who does such things? Shall he break the covenant and yet escape?
¹⁶ As I live, says the lord Jehovah, surely in the place where the king dwells who made him king, whose oath he despised and whose covenant he broke, even with him in the midst of Babylon he will die.
¹⁷ Nor will Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company help him in the war when they cast up mounds and build forts to cut off many persons. ¹⁸ For he has despised the oath by breaking the covenant. And behold, he had given his hand and yet has done all these things. He will not escape.
¹⁹ Therefore thus says the lord Jehovah: As I live, surely my oath that he has despised and my covenant that he has broken, I will even bring it upon his own head.

²⁹ They have been filled with all: unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, greed, malice; full of: envy, murder, strife, treachery, maliciousness. They are: malicious whisperers,

³ But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve in his craftiness, so your minds might be corrupted away from the clarity and the purity which is leading to the Christ.

⁹ even he, whose presence is according to the working of the Adversary in every power and in signs and in lying wonders,

⁴ And they gave him seventy pieces of silver out of the house of Baal-berith, with which Abimelech hired vain and unstable fellows who followed him.

²⁵ And they took fortified cities and a fat land and possessed houses full of all good things, cisterns hewn out, vineyards and olive-groves and fruit trees in abundance. So they ate and were filled and became fat and delighted themselves in your great goodness.

⁸ A bribe is a precious stone in the eyes of him who has it; wherever it turns, it prospers.

⁶ Many will entreat the favor of a generous man and every man is a friend to him who gives gifts.

⁷ Because as he thinks within himself, so is he. Eat and drink, he says to you, but his heart is not with you.

¹⁰ The lord Jehovah says thus: It will happen in that day, that things will come into your mind and you will devise an evil plan.

²⁵ And he will speak words against the Most High and will wear out the holy ones of the Most High. And he will think to change the times and the law and they will be given into his hand until a time and times and half a time.

⁴ And Jesus, having seen their contemplations said, Why are you contemplating evil in your hearts?

¹⁸ A wrathful man stirs up contention, but he who is slow to anger appeases strife.

²⁵ He who is of a greedy spirit stirs up strife, but he who puts his trust in Jehovah will be made fat.

² And now I will show you the truth. Behold, there will stand up yet three kings in Persia and the fourth will be far richer than them all. And when he has grown strong through his riches, he will stir up all against the realm of Greece.

² And Saul's son had two men who were captains of bands. The name of the one was Baanah and the name of the other Rechab, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, of the sons of Benjamin, for Beeroth also is reckoned to Benjamin. ³ And the Beerothites fled to Gittaim and have been travelers there until this day.
⁴ Now Jonathan, Saul's son, had a son who was lame in his feet. He was five years old when the news came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel and his nurse took him up and fled. And it happened, as she made haste to flee, that he fell and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.
⁵ And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, went and came about the heat of the day to the house of Ish-bosheth, as he took his rest at noon. ⁶ And they came there into the midst of the house as though they would have fetched wheat and they killed* him in the body. And Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped.
⁷ Now when they came into the house, as he lay on his bed in his bedroom, they killed* him and killed him and beheaded him and took his head and went by the way of the Arabah all night.
⁸ And they brought the head of Ish-bosheth to David to Hebron and said to the king, Behold, the head of Ish-bosheth, the son of Saul, your enemy, who sought your life. And Jehovah has avenged my lord the king this day of Saul and of his seed.
⁹ And David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite and said to them, As Jehovah lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all adversity, ¹⁰ when he who told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead, thinking to have brought good news, I took hold of him and killed him in Ziklag, which was the reward I gave him for his news.
¹¹ How much more, when evil men have slain a righteous man in his own house upon his bed, shall I not now require his blood of your* hand and take you* away from the earth?
¹² And David commanded his young men and they killed them and cut off their hands and their feet and hanged them up beside the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of Ish-bosheth and buried it in the grave of Abner in Hebron.

¹⁴ Then he departed from Elisha and came to his master, who said to him, What did Elisha say to you? And he answered, He told me that you would surely recover.

⁶ Then he wrote a letter the second time to them, saying, If you* are on my side and if you* will listen to my voice, take the heads of the men your* master's sons and come to me to Jezreel by tomorrow this time. Now the king's sons, being seventy persons, were with the great men of the city who reared them.
⁷ And it happened, when the letter came to them, that they took the king's sons and killed them, even seventy persons and put their heads in baskets and sent them to him to Jezreel. ⁸ And a messenger came and told him, saying, They have brought the heads of the king's sons. And he said, Lay you* them in two heaps at the entrance of the gate until the morning.
⁹ And it happened in the morning, that he went out and stood and said to all the people, You* are righteous. Behold, I conspired against my master and killed him. But who killed* all these?

⁹ Yes, my own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, who ate of my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.

⁵ Trust you* not in a neighbor. Put you* not confidence in a friend. Keep the doors of your mouth from her who lies in your bosom. ⁶ For the son dishonors the father. The daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. A man's enemies are the men of his own house.

²³ But he answered and said, He who dipped his hand with me in the dish, this one will be giving me up to the Jews.

²⁰ But he answered and said to them, It is one out of the twelve, he who dips with me in the dish.

¹⁸ I do not speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen, but in order that the Scripture might be fulfilled, ‘He who eats bread with me, lifted up his heel against me.’

²⁶ Then Absalom said, If not, I beseech you, let my brother Amnon go with us. And the king said to him, Why should he go with you?

² They speak falsehood everyone with his neighbor. They speak with a flattering lip and with a double heart.

¹ Why boast you yourself in mischief, O mighty man? The loving kindness of God is continual.

² No! You* work wickedness in heart. You* weigh out the violence of your* hands in the earth.

⁹ Surely men of low degree are vanity and men of high degree are a lie. They will go up in the balances. They are together lighter than vanity.

⁶ They search out iniquities, saying, We have accomplished a diligent search. And the inward part of man and the heart are deep.

²⁰ Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, but joy is to the counselors of peace.

⁶ Do not eat the bread of an evil eye, nor desire his dainties. ⁷ Because as he thinks within himself, so is he. Eat and drink, he says to you, but his heart is not with you. ⁸ The morsel which you have eaten you will vomit up and lose your sweet words.

²³ Fervent lips and a wicked heart are an earthen vessel overlaid with silver dross.

³ And they bend their tongue–their bow–for falsehood and they have grown strong in the land, but not for truth. For they proceed from evil to evil and they do not know me, says Jehovah.
⁴ You* take heed each one of his neighbor and trust you* not in any brother, for every brother will utterly supplant and every neighbor will go about with gossipers. ⁵ And they will deceive each one his neighbor and will not speak the truth. They have taught their tongue to speak lies. They inwardly set up an ambush.

¹ Now it happened in the seventh month, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the seed royal and one of the chief officers of the king and ten men with him, came to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah and there they ate bread together in Mizpah.
² Then Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and the ten men who were with him, arose and killed* Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan with the sword and killed him, whom the king of Babylon had made governor over the land. ³ Ishmael also killed all the Jews who were with him, namely, with Gedaliah, at Mizpah and the Chaldeans who were found there, the men of war.

⁹ You say, The lord Jehovah says thus: Shall it flourish? Shall he not pull up the roots of it and cut off the fruit of it, that it may wither? It will wither in all its fresh springing leaves, even without great power or many people to pluck it up by the roots of it.

¹⁹ And he said, Behold, I will make you know what will be in the latter time of the indignation, for it belongs to the appointed time of the end

²⁹ At the time appointed he will return and come into the south, but it will not be in the latter time as it was in the former.

³⁵ And some of those who are wise will fall, to refine them and to purify and to make them white, even to the time of the end, because it is yet for the time appointed.

³ For the vision is yet for the appointed time and it breathes-out toward the end and will not lie. Though it abide, wait for it, because it will surely come. It will not delay.

⁷ Now he said to them, It is not yours to know times or seasons, which the Father placed in his own authority.

³¹ because he has established a future day in which to judge the inhabited-earth in righteousness in the man whom he has determined beforehand; having provided the faith to all, by having raised him from the dead.

¹ Now brethren, you have no need for anything to be written to you concerning the times and the seasons.

²⁴ And his power will be mighty, but not by his own power and he will destroy amazingly and will prosper and do his pleasure. And he will destroy the mighty ones and the holy people.

³⁰ For ships of Kittim will come against him. Therefore he will be grieved and will return and have indignation against the holy covenant and will do his pleasure. He will even return and have regard to those who forsake the holy covenant.
³¹ And forces will stand on his part and they will profane the sanctuary, even the fortress and will take away the continual burnt offering and they will set up the abomination that makes desolate. ³² And he will pervert by flatteries such as do wickedly against the covenant. But the people who know their God will be strong and do exploits.

²⁵ You are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant which God covenanted with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your seed, all the families of the earth will be blessed.’

³¹ Howl, O gate, cry, O city. You are melted away, O Philistia, all of you. For there comes a smoke out of the north and there is no straggler in his ranks.

²³ And after the league made with him, he will work deceitfully, for he will come up and will become strong, with a small people.

²⁶ And he made of one blood every nation of men to dwell upon all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed seasons and the borders of their residence;

² but is under guardians and stewards till the appointed-day of the father.

⁴ And the sons of Javan were : Elishah and Tarshish, Kittim and Dodanim.

²⁴ But ships will come from the coast of Kittim and they will afflict Asshur and will afflict Eber and he also will come to destruction.

⁷ And the sons of Javan: Elishah and Tarshish, Kittim and Rodanim.

¹² And I discerned, and behold, God had not sent him, but he pronounced this prophecy against me and Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him.

¹ The burden of Tyre. Howl, you* ships of Tarshish, for it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in. It is revealed to them from the land of Kittim.

¹² And he said, You will no more rejoice, O you oppressed virgin daughter of Sidon. Arise, pass over to Kittim, even there will you have no rest.

²⁸ Then he will return into his land with great substance. And his heart will be against the holy covenant and he will do his pleasure and return to his own land.

¹⁰ And then many will be offended, and will be giving up one another and will be hating one another.

¹² Because of this, O heavens and you who are dwelling in them be joyous! Woe to the earth and to the sea, because the devil has gone down to you, having great fury, knowing that he has a small time.

¹⁰ The adversary has spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things. For she has seen that the nations have entered into her sanctuary, concerning whom you commanded that they should not enter into your assembly.

⁷ The Lord has cast off his altar. He has spurned his sanctuary. He has given up the walls of her palaces into the hand of the enemy. They have made a noise in the house of Jehovah, as in the day of a solemn assembly.

²⁰ As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty, but they made the images of their abominations and their detestable things in it. Therefore I have made it as an unclean thing to them.
²¹ And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil and they will profane it.

⁷ And he said to them, Defile the house and fill the courts with the slain. Go forth. And they went forth and killed* in the city.

²¹ Speak to the house of Israel, The lord Jehovah says thus: Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your* power, the desire of your* eyes and what your* soul has compassion. And your* sons and your* daughters whom you* have left behind will fall by the sword.
²² And you* will do as I have done. You* will not cover your* lips, nor eat the bread of men.

¹¹ Yes, it magnified itself, even to the Prince of the host. And it took away from him the continual burnt offering and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. ¹² And the host was given over to it together with the continual burnt offering through transgression. And it cast down truth to the ground and it did its pleasure and prospered.
¹³ Then I heard a holy one speaking and another holy one said to that certain one who spoke, How long will be the vision of the continual burnt offering and the transgression that make desolate, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?

²⁷ And he will make a firm covenant with many for one week. And in the midst of the week he will cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. And upon the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate. And even to the full end and that determined, wrath will be poured out upon the desolate.

¹¹ And from the time that the continual burnt offering will be taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there will be a thousand and two hundred and ninety days.

¹⁵ Therefore, whenever you behold the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place, (let the one who is reading perceive),

¹⁴ But whenever you behold the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet standing where it ought not to be (let the one who is reading perceive), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains;

²⁰ But whenever you behold Jerusalem surrounded by encamped armies, then know that her desolation has drawn near.

⁴⁰ Therefore beware, that what has been spoken in the prophets might not come upon you : ⁴¹ ‘You despisers, behold and marvel and disappear, because I am working a work in your days, a work which you may never believe, even if someone describes it to you.’

¹² And the ten horns that you saw are ten kings, who did not yet receive a kingdom, but they receive authority like kings, with the beast, for one hour.

⁹ And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind, for Jehovah searches all hearts and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

¹⁰ And those who know your name will put their trust in you, because you, Jehovah, have not forsaken those who seek you.

⁵ A false witness will not be unpunished and he who breathes-out lies will not escape.

²⁸ A lying tongue hates those whom it has wounded and a flattering mouth works ruin.

³⁴ And they will teach no more every man his neighbor and every man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah, for they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says Jehovah. For I will forgive their iniquity and I will remember their sin no more.

⁷ And the remnant of Jacob will be in the midst of many peoples as dew from Jehovah, as showers upon the grass, that do not abide for man, nor wait for the sons of men. ⁸ And the remnant of Jacob will be among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep, who, if he goes through, treads down and tears in pieces and there is none to deliver.
⁹ Let your hand be lifted up above your adversaries and let all your enemies be cut off.

¹⁵ As in the days of your coming forth out of the land of Egypt I will show marvelous things to them.
¹⁶ The nations will see and be ashamed of all their might. They will lay their hand upon their mouth. Their ears will be deaf. ¹⁷ They will lick the dust like a serpent. Like crawling things of the earth they will come trembling out of their borders. They will come with fear to Jehovah our God and will be afraid because of you.

¹³ For I have bent Judah for me. I have filled the bow with Ephraim. And I will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece and will make you as the sword of a mighty man. ¹⁴ And Jehovah will be seen over them. And his arrow will go forth as the lightning. And the lord Jehovah will blow the trumpet and will go with whirlwinds of the south.
¹⁵ Jehovah of hosts will defend them. And they will devour and will tread down the sling-stones. And they will drink and make a noise as through wine and they will be filled like bowls, like the corners of the altar. ¹⁶ And Jehovah their God will save them in that day as the flock of his people, as for the stones of a crown, lifted on high over his land.

³ My anger is kindled against the shepherds and I will punish the male-goats. For Jehovah of hosts has visited his flock, the house of Judah and will make them as his majestic horse in the battle. ⁴ From him will come out the cornerstone, from him the nail, from him the battle bow, from him every ruler together. ⁵ And they will be as mighty men, treading down their enemies in the mud of the streets in the battle. And they will fight, because Jehovah is with them and the riders on horses will be confounded.
⁶ And I will strengthen the house of Judah and I will save the house of Joseph and I will bring them back. For I have mercy upon them and they will be as though I had not cast them off. For I am Jehovah their God and I will hear them.

¹² And I will strengthen them in Jehovah and they will walk up and down in his name, says Jehovah.

³ And it will happen in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the peoples. All who burden themselves with it will be severely wounded. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered together against it.
⁴ In that day, says Jehovah, I will kill* every horse with terror and his rider with madness. And I will open my eyes upon the house of Judah and will kill* every horse of the peoples with blindness.
⁵ And the chieftains of Judah will say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in Jehovah of hosts their God. ⁶ In that day I will make the chieftains of Judah like a pan of fire among wood and like a flaming torch among sheaves. And they will devour all the peoples all around, on the right hand and on the left and Jerusalem will yet again dwell in their own place, even in Jerusalem.
⁷ Jehovah also will save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem not be magnified above Judah.

¹ Behold, a day of Jehovah comes when your spoil will be divided in the midst of you. ² For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle. And the city will be taken and the houses rifled and the women ravished and half of the city will go forth into captivity. And the residue of the people will not be cut off from the city.
³ Then Jehovah will go forth and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. ⁴ And his feet will stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives will be split in the midst of it toward the east and toward the west, a very great valley. And half of the mountain will remove toward the north and half of it toward the south.

² But to you* who fear my name the sun of righteousness will arise with healing in its wings and you* will go forth and frolic as calves of the stall.

³ But this is everlasting life, in order that they should know you, the only true God, and Jesus the Christ, whom you sent.

³ But even if our good-news is being hidden, it is being hidden among those who are perishing, ⁴ in whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the illumination of the good-news of the glory of the Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn for them. ⁵ For we are not preaching ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord and ourselves as your bondservants because of Jesus. ⁶ Because it is God, who said, ‘Illumination shine’out of darkness, who shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

⁹ even he, whose presence is according to the working of the Adversary in every power and in signs and in lying wonders, ¹⁰ and in all deception of unrighteousness in those who are perishing, because they did not accept the love of the truth, that they might be saved. ¹¹ And because of this, God will be sending them a working of error, that they may believe in the lie; ¹² in order that they all might be judged who did not believe the truth, but were delighted in unrighteousness.

¹ You therefore, my child, be empowered in the grace which is in Christ Jesus. ² And the things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, consign these to faithful men, who will also be competent to teach others. ³ Therefore suffer evil treatment as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

³² But remind yourselves of the former days, when you were enlightened, in which you endured a large conflict of sufferings; ³³ in this thing indeed, makes you a spectacle both by reproaches and afflictions, but in this thing, you became partners of those who conducted themselves so.

³ And we know in this that we have known him; if we are keeping his commandments. ⁴ He who says, I have known him and is not keeping his commandments, is a liar and the truth is not in this one;

²⁰ Now we know that the Son of God has come and has given us perception, in order that we might know the true one and we are in the true one, that is, in his son, Jesus Christ. He is the true God and the everlasting life.

¹¹ And a white robe was given to each, and it was said to them, in order that they should still rest themselves for a time, until both their fellow bondservants and those who are about to be killed as they were also, should be fulfilled.

⁹ I saw and behold after these things, a large crowd, which no one was able to number, out of every nation and tribes and peoples and languages, standing in the sight of the throne and in the sight of the Lamb, having been dressed in white robes and palm trees in their hands; ¹⁰ and they are crying with a loud voice, saying, The salvation is in our God who is sitting upon the throne and in the Lamb.

⁷ And there became a war in heaven. Michael and his messengers made war with the dragon, and the dragon and his messengers made war. ⁸ And they did not prevail, neither was a place found for him anymore in heaven. ⁹ And the great dragon was cast down, the ancient serpent, who is called the devil and the Adversary, the one who is misleading the whole inhabited-earth; he was cast down to the earth and his messengers were cast down with him. ¹⁰ And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ has become, because the accuser of our brethren has been cast down, who accuses them in the sight of our God day and night. ¹¹ And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even to death.

¹² And he practiced all the authority of the first beast in his sight and was making the earth and those who are dwelling in it in order that they should worship the first beast, whose wound of death was healed. ¹³ And he does great signs, even makes fire in order that it might come down from heaven upon the earth in the sight of men. ¹⁴ And the one who is misleading those of mine who are dwelling upon the earth because of the signs which was given to him to do in the sight of the beast, saying to those who dwell upon the earth to make an image to the beast, who was holding the wound of death from the sword and lived. ¹⁵ And it was given to it to give breath to the image of the beast, in order that the image of the beast should speak and in order that it should make as many as would not worship to the image of the beast in order that they should be killed.

³ And the eyes of those who see will not be dim and the ears of those who hear will listen. ⁴ And the heart of the rash will understand knowledge and the tongue of the stammerers will be ready to speak plainly.

³ And those who are wise will shine as the brightness of the expanse and those who turn many to righteousness as the stars everlasting and forever.
⁴ But you, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, even to the time of the end. Many will run to and fro and knowledge will be increased.

¹⁰ Many will purify themselves and make themselves white and be refined, but the wicked will do wickedly. And none of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.

²⁰ Jehovah of hosts says thus: Peoples will yet come and the inhabitants of many cities. ²¹ And the inhabitants of one city will go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to entreat the favor of Jehovah and to seek Jehovah of hosts. I will go also. ²² Yes, many peoples and strong nations will come to seek Jehovah of hosts in Jerusalem and to entreat the favor of Jehovah.
²³ Jehovah of hosts says thus: In those days, ten men will take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, they will take hold of the skirt of him who is a Jew, saying, We will go with you*, for we have heard that God is with you*.

⁷ For the priest's lips should keep knowledge and they should seek the law at his mouth. For he is the messenger of Jehovah of hosts.

²¹ Now brother will be giving up brother to death and the father his child and children will be standing up against parents and will be slaying them.

¹¹ But he answered and said to them, It has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of the heavens, but it has not given to those men.

⁵¹ And Jesus says to them, Have you understood all these things?
They say to him, Yes, Lord.
⁵² Now he said to them, Because of this, every scribe who has been made a disciple to the kingdom of the heavens is similar to a man who is a householder, who casts forth out of his treasure, new and old things.

²³ And he says to them, Indeed, you will be drinking my cup and you will be immersed with the immersion to which I am immersed, but to sit at my right and at my left, is not mine to give, but it is for them for whom it has been prepared by my Father.

⁹ Then they will be giving you up to affliction and will be killing you, and you will be hated by all the nations because of my name.

²⁰ teaching them to observe all things, as many things as I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the earth.
Amen.

⁴⁴ Now he said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you, being still together with you, that it is essential for all things to be fulfilled, which have been written in the Law of Moses and the prophets and the Psalms, concerning me. ⁴⁵ Then he opened their mind to understand the Scriptures.


⁴⁶ And he said to them, Thus it has been written, that it was essential for the Christ to suffer and to rise up from the dead in the third day; ⁴⁷ and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

² They will be expelling you from the synagogues. But the hour is coming, that everyone who kills you may think that he is offering divine service to God.

² being pained, because they taught the people and proclaimed the resurrection of the dead in Jesus. ³ And they put hands on them and placed them in jail to the next-day; for it was already dusk. ⁴ But many of those who heard the word believed, and the number of the men happened to be approximately five thousand.

²⁶ and having found him, he led him to Antioch. Now it happened, they were gathered together with him in the congregation a whole year and he taught a considerable crowd, and the disciples were first divinely-called Christians, in Antioch.

² Now he assassinated James the brother of John with a sword.
³ And having seen that it is pleasing to the Jews, he also adds Peter to take. (And these were the days of unleavened bread.)

²¹ And having proclaimed the good-news to that city, and having made a considerable number of disciples, they returned to Lystra and Iconium and Antioch,

⁹ For I am thinking that God has showed us, the apostles, last of all, as men doomed to death, because we have become a spectacle to the world, both to messengers and men.

¹² Because of which case, I also am suffering these things too, but I am not ashamed; for I know the one whom I have believed and I have confidence that he is able to guard my deposit consigned to him for that day.

²⁴ But it is essential for the Lord’s bondservant to not quarrel, but to be mild toward all, skilled in teaching, tolerating it when being mistreated, ²⁵ in meekness educating those who are placing themselves in opposition; if maybe God might give them repentance to come to the full knowledge of the truth,

⁶ For I am already a drink-offering and the time of my departure stands-ready.

³⁴ quenched the power of fire, fled away from the edge of the sword, were empowered away from weakness, became mighty in war, the encampments of aliens bowed down.

³⁶ and others received a trial from mocking and scourges, but still more, from bonds and prison: ³⁷ they were stoned; they were sawed in two; they were tempted; they died in murder from the sword; they went around in sheepskins, and in hides; they were lacking, being afflicted, and being mistreated, ³⁸ (of whom the world was not worthy), wandering in the wildernesses and mountains and caves and the holes of the earth.

⁹ I John, your brother and partner in the affliction and the kingdom and the endurance which are in Christ Jesus, happened to be on the island called Patmos, because of the word of God and because of the testimony of Jesus Christ.

¹³ I know your works and where you dwell–where the Adversary’s throne is, and you are holding-fast my name and did not deny my faith in the days, in which my witness, the faithful Antipas was killed beside you, where the Adversary is dwelling.

⁹ And when he opened the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who have been slaughtered because of the word of God and because of the testimony of the lamb which they were holding to.

¹⁴ And I said to him, My lord, you know.
And he said to me, These are those who are coming out of the great affliction and they have rinsed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

⁷ And it was given to him to make a war with the holy-ones and to overcome them and authority over every tribe and people and language and nation was given to him. ⁸ And all who are dwelling upon the earth will be worshiping him, everyone whose name has not been written in the Book of Life of the lamb, who has been slaughtered from the conception of the world. ⁹ If anyone has an ear, let him hear. ¹⁰ If anyone holds those in captivity, he is going into captivity; if anyone kills with the sword, it is essential for him to be killed with the sword. Here is the endurance and the faith of the holy-ones.

⁶ And I saw the woman drunken from the blood of the holy-ones and from the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. And I marveled when I saw her– with great marvel!

¹⁵ But take-heed, stay away from false prophets, who are coming to you in sheep’s clothing, but inside are ravenous wolves.

²⁹ I know this: after my goodbye, cruel wolves will be entering into you, not sparing the flock; ³⁰ and men will be standing up from among yourselves, speaking perverse things, to pull away the disciples after themselves.

¹⁸ For such are not serving our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and they are deceiving the hearts of the guiltless through their smooth-talk and blessings.

¹³ For such men are false apostles, workers of treachery, fashioning themselves into apostles of Christ. ¹⁴ And it is not a marvelous thing; for even the Adversary fashions himself into a messenger of light. ¹⁵ Therefore, it is no great thing if his servants are also fashioned like servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

⁴ But it was because of false brethren who were smuggled in, who entered in beside us to spy out our freedom which we have in Christ Jesus, in order that they might enslave us;

¹ But the Spirit expressly says, In later times some will be withdrawing from the faith, taking-heed to misleading spirits and teachings of demons, ² through the hypocrisy from the speakers of lies, having been branded in their own conscience;

¹ But know this, that grievous times will be present in the last days. ² For men will be lovers of themselves, money-lovers, braggarts, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, ³ cold-hearted, implacable, slanderers, with no self-control, untamed, not lovers of good, ⁴ betrayers, rash, having been puffed up, loving sensual-delights rather than loving God; ⁵ holding to a form of godliness, but having denied its power. Now turn yourself away from these people. ⁶ For out of these people are those who are sneaking into houses and capturing immature women, who have been piled up with sins and are led away by various lusts, ⁷ always learning and never being able to come to the full knowledge of the truth.

³ For the time will be coming when they will not be tolerating the sound teaching, but having itchy ears, they will be piling up for themselves teachers according to their own lusts;

¹¹ whom it is essential to gag; men who are perverting whole houses, teaching things which they ought not teach, because of shameful gain.

¹ But false prophets happened to be also among the people, as false teachers will also be among you, who will be smuggling in sects of destruction, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing quick destruction upon themselves. ² And many will be following their unbridled-lusts, because of whom the way of the truth will be blasphemed. \ulnone\nosupersub ³ And in their greed, they will be merchants of you with fabricated words; to whom the condemnation from long-ago is not idle, and their destruction will not be slumbering.

¹⁸ For while speaking flattering-words of futility, they entice (with the lusts of the flesh to unbridled-lusts) those who really had fled away from those who conduct themselves in error. ¹⁹ They are promising them freedom, when they themselves are bondservants of corruption. For in what anyone has been succumbed, in this, he has also been enslaved.

¹⁸ Children, it is the last hour and just-as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have become known; hence we know that it is the last hour. ¹⁹ They went out away from us, but they were not from us; for if they had been from us, they would have remained with us, but they went out, in order that they might be made manifest that all of them are not from us.

¹ Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, to see if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

⁵ They are from the world; because of this they speak as from the world and the world hears them.

⁷ Because many misleaders have entered into the world, those who are not confessing Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the misleader and the antichrist.

⁴ For some men sneaked in among you, those who have been written about, from long-ago for this condemnation of the ungodly, those who are transferring the grace of our God into unbridled-lusts and denying our only Master, God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

²⁰ But I have this against you, that you are allowing your woman Jezebel, she who calls herself a prophetess, and she who is teaching and misleading my bondservants to fornicate and to eat idol-sacrifices.

² and she was pregnant, and was crying, being in travail and in torment to bear forth. ³ And another sign was seen in heaven and behold, a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns and seven diadems upon his heads. ⁴ And his tail drags the third of the stars of heaven and he cast them to the earth and the dragon is standing in the sight of the woman who is about to bear, in order that whenever she has bore, he may devour her child. ⁵ And she bore a son, a male child, who is about to shepherd all the nations with an iron rod and her child was taken away to God and to his throne. ⁶ And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, in order that they may nourish her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.

¹³ And when the dragon saw that he was cast down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who bore the male child. \ulnone\nosupersub

¹¹ And I saw another beast ascending out of the earth, and he was holding two horns similar to a lamb and he was speaking like a dragon. ¹² And he practiced all the authority of the first beast in his sight and was making the earth and those who are dwelling in it in order that they should worship the first beast, whose wound of death was healed. ¹³ And he does great signs, even makes fire in order that it might come down from heaven upon the earth in the sight of men. ¹⁴ And the one who is misleading those of mine who are dwelling upon the earth because of the signs which was given to him to do in the sight of the beast, saying to those who dwell upon the earth to make an image to the beast, who was holding the wound of death from the sword and lived.

² And you will remember all the way which Jehovah your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, to prove you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or not. ³ And he humbled you and allowed you to hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, neither did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of Jehovah.

¹⁶ who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers did not know, that he might humble you and that he might prove you, to do you good at your latter end.

³¹ However in the business of the ambassadors of the rulers of Babylon, who sent to him to inquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.

³ The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, but Jehovah tries the hearts.

¹⁰ And it grew great, even to the host of heaven. And it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground and trampled upon them.

¹⁷ So he came near where I stood. And when he came, I was frightened and fell upon my face. But he said to me, Understand, O son of man, for the vision belongs to the time of the end.

²⁷ And he will make a firm covenant with many for one week. And in the midst of the week he will cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. And upon the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate. And even to the full end and that determined, wrath will be poured out upon the desolate.

²⁷ And as for both these kings, their hearts will be to do mischief and they will speak lies at one table. But it will not prosper, for yet the end will be at the time appointed.

³³ And those who are wise among the people will instruct many, yet they will fall by the sword and by flame, by captivity and by spoil, many days.

⁴ But you, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, even to the time of the end. Many will run to and fro and knowledge will be increased.

¹⁰ Many will purify themselves and make themselves white and be refined, but the wicked will do wickedly. And none of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.
¹¹ And from the time that the continual burnt offering will be taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there will be a thousand and two hundred and ninety days.

⁹ And I will bring the third part into the fire and will refine them as silver is refined and will try them as gold is tried. They will call on my name and I will hear them. I will say, It is my people and they will say, Jehovah is my God.

² But who can abide the day of his coming? And who will stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner's fire and like launder's soap.
³ And he will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver. And he will purify the sons of Levi and refine them as gold and silver. And they will offer to Jehovah offerings in righteousness. ⁴ Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasant to Jehovah, as in the days of old and as in ancient years.

¹ For, behold, the day comes, it burns as a furnace and all the proud and all who work wickedness, will be stubble. And the day that comes will burn them up, says Jehovah of hosts, that it will leave them neither root nor branch.
² But to you* who fear my name the sun of righteousness will arise with healing in its wings and you* will go forth and frolic as calves of the stall. ³ And you* will tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your* feet in the day that I make, says Jehovah of hosts.

¹⁷ And Jesus answered and said to him, You are fortunate, Simon, Son of Jonah, because flesh and blood has not revealed it to you, but my Father, the one in the heavens.

⁵⁶ But this whole thing has happened, in order that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples left him and fled.

⁶⁹ Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard, and a maidservant came to him, saying, You were also with Jesus the Galilean.
⁷⁰ But he denied it before them all, saying, I do not know what you are saying.
⁷¹ Now having gone out into the gate area, another one saw him, and says to those who were there, This one was also with Jesus the Nazarene.
⁷² And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.
⁷³ Now after a little while, those who are standing by, came near and said to Peter, You truly also are one out of them; for even your speech makes it evident.
⁷⁴ Then he began to curse and to swear, I do not know the man. Now immediately, the rooster crowed. ⁷⁵ And Peter was reminded of the declaration which Jesus had said to him, Before the rooster crows, you will be denying me three-times. And having gone outside, he wept bitterly.

² Every branch which is not bringing forth fruit in me, he takes it away and every branch which is bringing forth fruit, he prunes it, in order that it may bring forth more fruit.

²⁵ Therefore, the other disciples said to him, We have seen the Lord.
But he said to them, If I do not see the pattern of the nails in his hands and may put my finger into the pattern of the nails and may put my hand into his ribs, I will never believe.

¹³ Now Paul, with those around him, having set-sail from Paphos, came to Perga in Pamphylia, and John having departed from them, returned to Jerusalem.

³⁷ Now Barnabas also planned to take together with them John, the one called Mark. ³⁸ But Paul was not deeming it worthy to take Mark together with them, the one who withdrew away from them from Pamphylia and did not go together with them to the work. ³⁹ Therefore it happened: a sharp-disagreement, so-that they departed from one another, and Barnabas took Mark with him to sail away to Cyprus;

² My brethren, deem it with all joy, whenever you fall into various temptations,

⁶ In which hope you are glad now for a few moments, if it is essential, you have been made sorrowful in various tests, ⁷ in order that the trial of your faith, ( being much more precious than gold, which perishes), even now being tested through fire, may be found for praise and honor and to glory in the revelation of Jesus Christ.

¹⁰ Let no one fear the things which you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some from you into prison, in order that you may be tested and you will have affliction ten days. Become faithful to death and I will be giving you the crown of life.

¹⁵ And another messenger came out from the temple, crying in a loud voice to the one who sits upon the cloud, Send forth your sickle and reap, because the hour to reap has come, because the harvest of the earth is ripe.

¹⁷ For Jehovah your* God, he is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty and the awesome, who regards not persons, nor takes reward.

²² The Mighty One, God, Jehovah, the Mighty One, God, Jehovah, he knows and Israel he will know, if it is in rebellion, or if in trespass against Jehovah (do not save us this day),

¹³ But he is in one mind and who can turn him? And what his soul desires, even that he does. ¹⁴ For he performs what is appointed for me. And many such things are with him.

¹⁰ Jehovah brings the counsel of the nations to nothing. He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.

² O give thanks to the God of gods, for his loving kindness is everlasting.

²⁵ For yet a very little while and the indignation will be accomplished and my anger is to his destruction.

¹³ And you said in your heart, I will ascend into heaven. I will exalt my throne above the stars of God and I will sit upon the mountain of congregation, in the outermost parts of the north.

²⁰ Come, my people, enter you into your chambers and shut your doors around you. Hide yourself for a little moment until the indignation have passed over.

¹⁰ declaring the end from the beginning and from long-ago things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel will stand and I will do all my pleasure,

⁴⁷ The king answered to Daniel and said, Of a truth your* God is the God of gods and Lord of kings and a revealer of secrets, since you have been able to reveal this secret.

²⁰ and concerning the ten horns that were on its head and the other horn which came up and before which three fell, even that horn that had eyes and a mouth that spoke great things, whose look was greater than its fellows.
²¹ I beheld and the same horn made war with the holy ones and prevailed against them ²² until the ancient of days came. And judgment was given to the holy ones of the Most High and the time came that the holy ones possessed the kingdom.
²³ Thus he said, The fourth beast will be a fourth kingdom upon earth, which will be different from all the kingdoms and will devour the whole earth and will tread it down and break it in pieces.
²⁴ And as for the ten horns, out of this kingdom ten kings will arise. And another will arise after them and he will be different from the former. And he will put down three kings. ²⁵ And he will speak words against the Most High and will wear out the holy ones of the Most High. And he will think to change the times and the law and they will be given into his hand until a time and times and half a time.

¹¹ Yes, it magnified itself, even to the Prince of the host. And it took away from him the continual burnt offering and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. ¹² And the host was given over to it together with the continual burnt offering through transgression. And it cast down truth to the ground and it did its pleasure and prospered.

²⁴ And his power will be mighty, but not by his own power and he will destroy amazingly and will prosper and do his pleasure. And he will destroy the mighty ones and the holy people.
²⁵ And through his policy he will cause deceit to prosper in his hand and he will magnify himself in his heart. And he will destroy many in their security. He will also stand up against the Prince of princes, but he will be broken without a hand.

²⁶ And after the sixty-two weeks the anointed one will be cut off and will have nothing. And the people of the prince who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary and the end of it will be with a flood. And even to the end will be war; desolations are determined. ²⁷ And he will make a firm covenant with many for one week. And in the midst of the week he will cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. And upon the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate. And even to the full end and that determined, wrath will be poured out upon the desolate.

¹¹ And from the time that the continual burnt offering will be taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there will be a thousand and two hundred and ninety days. ¹² He who waits and comes to the thousand three hundred and thirty-five days is fortunate.
¹³ But go your way till the end is. For you will rest and will stand in your lot at the end of the days

³⁰ I am able to do nothing of myself. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is righteous, because I am not seeking my own will, but the will of the Father who sent me.

³⁸ Because I have come down from heaven, not in order that I should do my own will, but do the will of the one who sent me.

²⁸ to do as many things as your hand and your council predetermined to happen.

⁴ The one who lays in opposition to us and promotes himself against everyone being called a god or worshiped objects; so-that he sits in the temple of God as a god, showing himself–that he is a god.

⁷ But in the days of the voice of the seventh messenger, whenever he is about to sound, and the mystery of God had completed, as he proclaimed the good-news to his bondservants, the prophets.

² And the courtyard outside the temple cast away outside and do not measure it, because it has been given to the nations and they will be trampling on the holy city forty-two months.
³ And I will be giving to my two witnesses and they will be prophesying one thousand two hundred and sixty days, having been dressed in sackcloth.

¹⁴ And the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, in order that she may fly into the wilderness to her place, that she may be nourished there for a time and times and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

⁵ And a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies was given to him, and authority to make war forty-two months was given to him. ⁶ And he opened his mouth to blaspheme toward God, to blaspheme his name and his tabernacle, and blaspheme those who are residing in the heaven.

³ And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet beast, being full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

⁵ For God knows that in the day you* eat of it, then your* eyes will be opened and you* will be like God, knowing good and evil.

¹⁶ He said to the woman, I will greatly multiply your pain and your childbearing, in pain you will bring forth children. And your desire will be to your husband and he will rule over you.

²¹ Neither will you covet your neighbor's wife. Neither will you desire your neighbor's house, his field, or his man-servant, or his maid-servant, his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's.

¹¹ and see among the captives a beautiful woman and you have a desire for her and would take her to you as a wife,

¹⁰ I am my beloved's and his desire is toward me.

¹⁶ Son of man, behold, I take the desire of your eyes away from you with a stroke. Yet you will neither mourn nor weep. Neither will your tears run down.

³ forbidding to marry and commanding to abstain from foods, which God created for reception with thanksgiving to the believing and those who have fully known the truth,

⁹ Those who fashion a graven image are all of them vanity. And the things that they delight in will not profit. And their own witnesses do not see, nor know, that they may be put to shame.

¹ But the Spirit expressly says, In later times some will be withdrawing from the faith, taking-heed to misleading spirits and teachings of demons,

¹ And one out of the seven messengers who had the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying, Come-here. I will be showing you the judgment of the great prostitute who is sitting upon many waters; ² with whom the kings of the earth fornicated and those who are dwelling in the earth were made drunken from the wine of her fornication. ³ And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet beast, being full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. ⁴ And the woman having been dressed in purple and scarlet arrayed with gold and precious stone and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup being full of abominations and the unclean things of her fornication of the earth, ⁵ and a name has been written upon her forehead, Mystery, Babylon the Great, the Mother of the Prostitutes and of the Abominations of the Earth.

¹² cargo of gold, silver, precious stone, pearl, fine-linen, purple, silk, scarlet, every citron wood thing, every vessel of ivory, every vessel made out of the most precious wood and from brass, iron and marble;

⁹ And the kings of the earth, who fornicated and were promiscuous with her, will weep and will grieve over her, whenever they look upon the smoke of her fire, ¹⁰ standing from afar because of their fear of her torment, saying, Woe, woe, the great city, Babylon, the strong city! Because in one hour your judgment has come. ¹¹ And the merchants of the earth will weep and will mourn over her, because no one is buying their cargo anymore; ¹² cargo of gold, silver, precious stone, pearl, fine-linen, purple, silk, scarlet, every citron wood thing, every vessel of ivory, every vessel made out of the most precious wood and from brass, iron and marble; ¹³ and cinnamon, spice, incenses, perfume, frankincense, wine, oil, fine-flour, grain, sheep, other animals, and of horses and of chariots and of bodies and souls of men.

²⁸ whose arrows are sharp and all their bows bent. Their horses' hoofs will be accounted as flint and their wheels as a whirlwind.

¹ The burden of the wilderness of the sea. As whirlwinds in the South sweep through, it comes from the wilderness, from a terrible land.

¹⁵ For, behold, Jehovah will come with fire and his chariots will be like the whirlwind, to render his anger with fierceness and his rebuke with flames of fire.

¹³ Behold, he will come up as clouds and his chariots as the whirlwind. His horses are swifter than eagles. Woe to us! For we are ruined.

⁴ And I will turn you around and put hooks into your jaws and I will bring you forth and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed in full armor, a great company with buckler and shield, all of them handling swords,

¹⁴ Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog, The lord Jehovah says thus: In that day when my people Israel dwell securely, will you not know it?
¹⁵ And you will come from your place out of the outermost parts of the north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding upon horses, a great company and a mighty army. ¹⁶ And you will come up against my people Israel, as a cloud to cover the land. It will happen in the latter days, that I will bring you against my land, that the nations may know me, when I will be made holy in you, O Gog, before their eyes.
¹⁷ The lord Jehovah says thus: Are you he of whom I spoke in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days for many years that I would bring you against them?
¹⁸ And it will happen in that day, when Gog will come against the land of Israel, says the lord Jehovah, that my wrath will come up into my nostrils.

⁵ And the king of the south will be strong and one of his rulers. And he will be powerful over him and have dominion. His dominion will be a great dominion. ⁶ And at the end of years they will join themselves together. And the daughter of the king of the south will come to the king of the north to make a smoothly agreement, but she will not retain the strength of her arm, nor will he stand, nor his arm. But she will be given up and also those who brought her and he who fathered her and he who strengthened her in those times.

²⁶ Yes, those who eat of his food will destroy him and his army will overflow and many will fall down slain.
²⁷ And as for both these kings, their hearts will be to do mischief and they will speak lies at one table. But it will not prosper, for yet the end will be at the time appointed.

¹⁴ And Jehovah will be seen over them. And his arrow will go forth as the lightning. And the lord Jehovah will blow the trumpet and will go with whirlwinds of the south.

¹⁶ And the number of the armies of the horse men was twice tens of thousands of tens of thousands. I heard the number of them.

¹² And the sixth poured out his bowl upon the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, in order that the way of the kings who come from the rising of the sun might be prepared.

¹³ Also the envy of Ephraim will depart and those who besiege Judah will be cut off. Ephraim will not envy Judah and Judah will not besiege Ephraim. ¹⁴ And they will fly down upon the shoulder of the Philistines on the west. Together they will despoil the sons of the east. They will put forth their hand upon Edom and Moab and the sons of Ammon will obey them.
¹⁵ And Jehovah will utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea. And with his scorching wind he will wave his hand over the River and will kill* it into seven streams and cause men to march over dry shod.

²⁶ Egypt and Judah and Edom and the sons of Ammon and Moab and all who have the corners of their hair cut off, who dwell in the wilderness. For all the nations are uncircumcised and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in heart.

⁴⁷ Yet I will bring back the captivity of Moab in the latter days, says Jehovah. Thus far is the judgment of Moab.

⁶ But afterward I will bring back the captivity of the sons of Ammon, says Jehovah.

⁸ After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land that is brought back from the sword, that is gathered out of many peoples, upon the mountains of Israel, which have been a continual waste, but it is brought forth out of the peoples and they will dwell securely, all of them. ⁹ And you will ascend. You will come like a storm. You will be like a cloud to cover the land, you and all your hordes and many peoples with you.
¹⁰ The lord Jehovah says thus: It will happen in that day, that things will come into your mind and you will devise an evil plan.
¹¹ And you will say, I will go up to the land of un-walled villages. I will go to those who are at rest, who dwell securely, all of them dwelling without walls and having neither bars nor gates, ¹² to take the spoil and to take the prey, to turn your hand against the waste places that are now inhabited and against the people who are gathered out of the nations, who have gotten cattle and goods, who dwell in the middle of the earth.
¹³ Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions of it, will say to you, Have you come to take the spoil? Have you assembled your company to take the prey, to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take great spoil?

¹⁴ and I will bring back the captivity of Egypt and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their birth.
And they will be a base kingdom there.

¹⁰ I will also bring them again out of the land of Egypt and gather them out of Assyria. And I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon and until space will not be found for them. ¹¹ And he will pass through the sea of affliction and will kill* the waves in the sea and all the depths of the Nile will dry up. And the pride of Assyria will be brought down and the scepter of Egypt will depart.

¹⁷ And it will be, that of the families of the earth he who does not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, Jehovah of hosts, upon them there will be no rain.

⁸ And the corpse s of them lay in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.

⁸ And all these your servants will come down to me and bow themselves down to me, saying, You get out and all the people who follow you. And after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in hot anger.

¹⁰ And Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali together to Kedesh. And there went up ten thousand men at his feet and Deborah went up with him.

³ with twelve hundred chariots and thirty thousand horsemen. And the people were without number who came with him out of Egypt: the Lubim, the Sukkiim and the Ethiopians.

⁹ Go up, you* horses and rage, you* chariots. And let the mighty men go forth: Cush and Put, who handle the shield and the Ludim, who handle and bend the bow. ¹⁰ For that day is a day of the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries. And the sword will devour and be satiate and will drink its fill of their blood, for the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, has a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates.

⁴ And a sword will come upon Egypt and anguish will be in Ethiopia, when the slain will fall in Egypt and they will take away her multitude and her foundations will be broken down. ⁵ Ethiopia and Put and Lud and all the mixed people and Cub and the sons of the land that is in league, will fall with them by the sword.

⁵ Persia, Cush and Put with them, all of them with shield and helmet,

⁹ Ethiopia and Egypt were her strength and it was infinite. Put and Lubim were your helpers.

⁹ And you will ascend. You will come like a storm. You will be like a cloud to cover the land, you and all your hordes and many peoples with you.
¹⁰ The lord Jehovah says thus: It will happen in that day, that things will come into your mind and you will devise an evil plan.
¹¹ And you will say, I will go up to the land of un-walled villages. I will go to those who are at rest, who dwell securely, all of them dwelling without walls and having neither bars nor gates, ¹² to take the spoil and to take the prey, to turn your hand against the waste places that are now inhabited and against the people who are gathered out of the nations, who have gotten cattle and goods, who dwell in the middle of the earth.

³⁰ For ships of Kittim will come against him. Therefore he will be grieved and will return and have indignation against the holy covenant and will do his pleasure. He will even return and have regard to those who forsake the holy covenant.

¹³ These have one intention and they are giving their power and authority to the beast.

¹⁹ And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies, have been gathered together to make a war with the one who sits upon the horse and with his army. ²⁰ And the beast was clutched and with him the false prophet who made the signs in his sight, in which he misled those who had received the mark of the beast and those who are worshiping his image. The two were cast while living into the lake of fire which is burning in brimstone. ²¹ And the rest were killed with the long-sword of the one who sits upon the horse, which came forth out of his mouth and all the birds were fed from their flesh.

² Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

² And it will happen in the latter days, that the mountain of Jehovah's house will be established on the top of the mountains and will be exalted above the hills and all nations will flow to it.

²² And I will enter into judgment with him with pestilence and with blood. And I will rain upon him and upon his hordes and upon the many peoples who are with him, an overflowing shower and great hailstones, fire and brimstone.
²³ And I will magnify myself and sanctify myself and I will make myself known in the eyes of many nations. And they will know that I am Jehovah.

² And I will turn you around and will lead you on and will cause you to come up from the outermost parts of the north and I will bring you upon the mountains of Israel.

³⁵ Then the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver and the gold, was broken in pieces together and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors. And the wind carried them away, so that no place was found for them. And the stone that killed* the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.

²⁶ But the judgment will be set and they will take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it to the end.

²⁰ But I will remove the northern army far off from you* and will drive it into a land barren and desolate, its forepart into the eastern sea and its rear part into the western sea. And its stench will come up and its foul odor will come up, because it has done great things.

² And many nations will go and say, Come and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah and to the house of the God of Jacob and he will teach us of his ways and we will walk in his paths. For out of Zion will go forth the law and the word of Jehovah from Jerusalem.

⁸ And it will happen in that day, that living waters will go out from Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and half of them toward the western sea. In summer and in winter it will be.

⁸ And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will be consuming with the breath of his mouth and will be doing-away-with him by the appearing of his presence;

¹⁰ If anyone holds those in captivity, he is going into captivity; if anyone kills with the sword, it is essential for him to be killed with the sword. Here is the endurance and the faith of the holy-ones.

¹⁴ And I saw and behold, a white cloud, and upon the cloud I saw one sitting similar to a son of man, having upon his head a golden crown and in his hand a sharp sickle. ¹⁵ And another messenger came out from the temple, crying in a loud voice to the one who sits upon the cloud, Send forth your sickle and reap, because the hour to reap has come, because the harvest of the earth is ripe. ¹⁶ And he who sits upon the cloud cast his sickle upon the earth, and the earth was reaped.
¹⁷ Another messenger came out from the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. ¹⁸ And another messenger came out from the altar, he who has authority over the fire, and he shouted to the one who had the sharp sickle with a loud outcry, saying, Send forth your sharp sickle and pick the clusters from the earth, because her grape-clusters were prime. ¹⁹ And the messenger cast his sickle into the earth and picked the clusters of the vine of the earth and cast it into the winepress, the great winepress of the fury of God. ²⁰ And the winepress was trampled on outside the city and there came out blood from the winepress, even to the bridles of the horses, up to one thousand six hundred furlongs.

² And he took-hold of the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and the Adversary, the one who is misleading the whole inhabited-earth and bound him a thousand years,

⁹ And they went up over the width of the earth and surrounded the encampment of the holy-ones and the beloved city and fire from God came down out of heaven and devoured them.
