¹ Behold, my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights. I have put my Spirit upon him, he will bring forth justice to the Gentiles. ² He will not cry, nor lift up his voice, nor cause it to be heard in the street. ³ A bruised reed he will not break and a dimly burning wick he will not quench, but he will bring forth justice in truth. ⁴ He will not fail nor be discouraged till he has set justice in the earth. And in his name Gentiles will hope.
⁵ Thus says God, Jehovah, he who created the heavens and stretched them forth, he who spread abroad the earth and what comes out of it, he who gives breath to the people upon it and spirit to those who walk in it, ⁶ I, Jehovah, have called you in righteousness and will hold your hand and will keep you and give you for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles, ⁷ to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon and those who sit in darkness out of the prison-house.
⁸ I am Jehovah. That is my name and I will not give my glory to another, nor my praise to graven images. ⁹ Behold, the former things have happen and I declare new things. Before they spring forth I tell you* of them. ¹⁰ Sing to Jehovah a new song and his praise from the end of the earth, you* who go down to the sea and all that is in it, the isles and the inhabitants of it. ¹¹ Let the wilderness and the cities of it lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar inhabits. Let the inhabitants of Sela sing. Let them shout from the top of the mountains. ¹² Let them give glory to Jehovah and declare his praise in the islands. ¹³ Jehovah will go forth as a mighty man. He will stir up his zeal like a man of war. He will cry, yes, he will shout aloud. He will do mightily against his enemies.
¹⁴ I have for a long time held my peace. I have been still and refrained myself. Now I will cry out like a travailing woman. I will gasp and pant together. ¹⁵ I will lay waste mountains and hills and dry up all their herbs. And I will make the rivers islands and will dry up the pools.
¹⁶ And I will bring the blind by a way that they do not know. I will lead them in paths that they do not know. I will make darkness light before them and crooked places straight. These things I will do and I will not forsake them.
¹⁷ They will be turned back, they will be utterly put to shame, who trust in graven images, who say to molten images, You* are our gods.
¹⁸ Hear, you* deaf and look, you* blind, that you* may see. ¹⁹ Who is blind, but my servant, or deaf, as my messenger that I send? Who is blind as he who is at peace with me and blind as Jehovah's servant? ²⁰ You see many things, but you do not observe. His ears are open, but he does not hear.
²¹ It pleased Jehovah, for his righteousness' sake, to magnify the law and make it honorable. ²² But this is a people robbed and plundered. They are all of them snared in holes and they are hid in prison-houses. They are for a prey and none delivers, for a spoil and none says, Restore.
²³ Who is there among you* that will listen to this, that will listen and hear for the time to come? ²⁴ Who gave Jacob for a spoil and Israel to the robbers? Did not Jehovah? He against whom we have sinned and in whose ways they would not walk, nor were they obedient to his law. ²⁵ Therefore he poured upon him the fierceness of his anger and the strength of battle. And it set him on fire all around, yet he did not know. And it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart.

¹⁹ Then you spoke in a vision to your holy ones and said, I have laid help upon a mighty man. I have exalted a chosen man out of the people.
²⁰ I have found David my servant. I have anointed him with my holy oil,

⁴ And he will judge between the nations and will decide concerning many peoples and they will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning-hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war any more.

² And the Spirit of Jehovah will rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah. ³ And his delight will be in the fear of Jehovah. And he will not judge according to the sight of his eyes, nor decide according to the hearing of his ears, ⁴ but with righteousness he will judge the poor and decide with equity for the meek of the earth.
And he will kill* the earth with the rod of his mouth and with the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked. ⁵ And righteousness will be the belt of his waist and faithfulness the belt of his loins.

¹⁶ Then justice will dwell in the wilderness and righteousness will abide in the fruitful field.

⁸ But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend,

¹⁰ You* are my witnesses, says Jehovah and my servant whom I have chosen, that you* may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me there was no God formed, nor will there be after me.

³ And he said to me, You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will be glorified. ⁴ But I said, I have labored in vain. I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity. Yet surely the justice due to me is with Jehovah and my recompense with my God.
⁵ And now says Jehovah who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him and that Israel be gathered to him (for I am honorable in the eyes of Jehovah and my God has become my strength), ⁶ yes, he says, It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved of Israel. I will also give you for a light to the Gentiles, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.
⁷ Jehovah says thus, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despises, to him whom the nation abhors, to a servant of rulers. Kings will see and arise, rulers and they will worship, because of Jehovah who is faithful, even the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.
⁸ Jehovah says thus, In an acceptable time I have heard you and in a day of salvation I have helped you. And I will preserve you and give you for a covenant of the people, to raise up the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritages,

⁴ The lord Jehovah has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with words he who is weary. He awakens morning by morning. He awakens my ear to hear as those who are taught. ⁵ The lord Jehovah has opened my ear and I was not rebellious, nor turned away backward. ⁶ I gave my back to the strikers and my cheeks to those who plucked off the hair. I did not hide my face from shame and spitting. ⁷ For the lord Jehovah will help me.
Therefore I have not been confounded. Therefore I have set my face like a flint and I know that I will not be put to shame. ⁸ He is near who justifies me. Who will contend with me? Let us stand up together. Who is my adversary? Let him come near to me. ⁹ Behold, the lord Jehovah will help me. Who is he who will condemn me? Behold, all they will grow old as a garment; the moth will eat them up.

¹³ Behold, my servant will deal wisely. He will be exalted and lifted up and will be very high.

¹¹ He will see of the travail of his soul, and
will be satisfied. By the knowledge of himself will my righteous servant justify many and he will bear their iniquities.

²¹ And as for me, this is my covenant with them, says Jehovah: My Spirit that is upon you and my words which I have put in your mouth, will not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your seed, nor out of the mouth of your seed's seed, says Jehovah, from now and until everlasting.

¹ The Spirit of the lord Jehovah is upon me, because Jehovah has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind and the opening of bonds to those who are bound,

⁸ Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your fellows who sit before you, for they are men who are a sign. For, behold, I will bring forth my servant the Branch.

¹¹ For from the rising of the sun even to the going down of the same, my name is great among the Gentiles. And in every place incense is offered to my name and a pure offering. For my name is great among the Gentiles, says Jehovah of hosts.

¹⁶ And Jesus when he was immersed, came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God coming down, like a dove, and coming upon him; ¹⁷ and behold, a voice came out of the heavens, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am delighted.

¹⁸ ‘Behold, my young-servant whom I selected. My beloved in whom my soul is delighted. I will be placing my Spirit upon him and he will be proclaiming judgment to the Gentiles.’ ¹⁹ ‘He will not have selfish ambition, nor will he cry-out; nor will anyone hear his voice in the streets. ²⁰ He will not fracture a bruised reed and he will not quench a smoking wick, until he should cast out the judgment to victory. ²¹ And the Gentiles will hope in his name.’

⁵ While he is still speaking, behold, a radiant cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am delighted; hear him!

¹⁰ And immediately coming up from the water, he saw the heavens being split-apart, and the Spirit like a dove coming down upon him. ¹¹ And a voice came out of the heavens, You are my beloved Son, in whom I am delighted.

²² and the Holy Spirit came down in bodily form, like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, saying, You are my beloved Son. I am delighted in you.

³⁵ And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son; hear him.

³² And John testified, saying, I have seen the Spirit coming down like a dove from heaven, and it remained upon him. ³³ And I did not know him, but he who sent me to immerse in water, that one said to me, Upon whomever you see the Spirit coming down and remaining upon him, this one is he who immerses in the Holy Spirit. ³⁴ And I have seen, and have testified, that this is the Son of God.

³⁴ For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God does not give the Spirit from measure.

²⁷ Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will be giving to you; for God, the Father, has sealed this one.

³² Behold, the hour is coming and has now come, in order that you might be scattered, each one to his own and you may leave me alone and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

¹⁵ But the Lord said to him, Travel on, because this one is a chosen vessel for me to bear my name in the sight of the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel;

³⁸ Jesus who was from Nazareth; how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went through out the land working good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with him.

¹⁸ But having heard these things, they were quiet and glorifying God, saying, Consequently, God has also given repentance to the Gentiles into life.

¹⁷ I will be liberating you from the Jewish people and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending you, ¹⁸ to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light, and from the authority of the Adversary to God, in order for them to receive forgiveness of sins, and an inheritance among those who have been made holy in faith, the faith in me.

²⁸ Therefore let it be known to you, that this salvation from God is sent to the Gentiles and they will be hearing it.

⁸ But I am saying that Christ Jesus has become a servant of the circumcision on behalf of the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given to the fathers, ⁹ and that the Gentiles are to glorify God on behalf of his mercy; as it has been written, ‘Because of this, I will profess you among the Gentiles and sing-praise to your name.’ ¹⁰ And again he says, ‘Gentiles be joyous with his people.’ ¹¹ And again, ‘Praise the Lord, all the Gentiles, and let all the peoples praise him.’ ¹² And again, Isaiah says, ‘There will be the root of Jesse and he who raised up to rule over the Gentiles; upon him the Gentiles will hope.’ ¹³ Now the God of hope may fill you with all joy and peace in the believing, that you may abound in hope in the power of the Holy Spirit.
¹⁴ And my brethren, I also have confidence in myself concerning you, that you yourselves are full of goodness, having been filled with all knowledge, being able also to admonish one another. ¹⁵ But I wrote more-daringly to you brethren individually, as reminding you again, because of the grace which was given to me by God, ¹⁶ that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, having done the sacred work of the good-news of God, in order that the offering up of the Gentiles might become acceptable, having been made holy in the Holy Spirit.

⁴ just-as he chose us in him before the conception of the world, for us to be holy and unblemished in his sight in love.

⁶ to the praise of the glory of his favor, in which he has favored us in the beloved,

⁸ This grace was given to me the least of all the holy-ones, to proclaim the good-news of the untraceable riches of Christ among the Gentiles;

⁷ but emptied himself, having taken the form of a bondservant, having become in the likeness of men;

¹³ He rescued us out of the authority of darkness and transplanted us into the kingdom of the Son of his love;

⁴ coming to whom is a living stone, having indeed been rejected by men, but chosen and precious with God.

⁶ Because it is contained in the Scripture, ‘Behold, I place in Zion, a cornerstone, chosen and precious, and the one who believes on him may never be ashamed.’

⁹ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion. Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem. Behold, your king comes to you. He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding upon a donkey, even upon a colt the foal of a donkey.

²⁹ Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, because I am meek and humble in heart and you will be finding rest for your souls.

¹⁶ and rebuked them, in order that they should not make him apparent; ¹⁷ that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, saying, ¹⁸ ‘Behold, my young-servant whom I selected. My beloved in whom my soul is delighted. I will be placing my Spirit upon him and he will be proclaiming judgment to the Gentiles.’ ¹⁹ ‘He will not have selfish ambition, nor will he cry-out; nor will anyone hear his voice in the streets. ²⁰ He will not fracture a bruised reed and he will not quench a smoking wick, until he should cast out the judgment to victory.

²⁰ And having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God is coming, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God is not coming with observation;

²⁴ But it is essential for the Lord’s bondservant to not quarrel, but to be mild toward all, skilled in teaching, tolerating it when being mistreated,

²³ who, being reviled, was not reviling again in return; when suffering, was not threatening, (but was giving himself to the one who judges righteously),

² He will judge your people with righteousness and your poor with justice.
³ The mountains will bring peace to the people and the hills, in righteousness. ⁴ He will judge the poor of the people.
He will save the sons of the needy and will break in pieces the oppressor.

¹³ before Jehovah, because he comes. Because he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness and the peoples with his truth.

¹³ Like as a father pities his sons, So Jehovah pities those who fear him. ¹⁴ Because he knows our frame. He remembers that we are dust.

³ He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds.

³ And his delight will be in the fear of Jehovah. And he will not judge according to the sight of his eyes, nor decide according to the hearing of his ears, ⁴ but with righteousness he will judge the poor and decide with equity for the meek of the earth.
And he will kill* the earth with the rod of his mouth and with the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked.

³ Strengthen you* the weak hands and confirm the feeble knees. ⁴ Say to those who are of a fearful heart, Be strong, do not fear. Behold, your* God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you*.

¹¹ He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will gather the lambs in his arm and carry them in his bosom, and will gently lead those who have their young.

²⁹ He gives power to the faint. And to him who has no might he increases strength.
³⁰ Even the youths will faint and be weary and the young men will utterly fall. ³¹ But those who wait for Jehovah will renew their strength. They will mount up with pinions like eagles. They will run and not be weary. They will walk and not faint.

⁴ The lord Jehovah has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with words he who is weary. He awakens morning by morning. He awakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.

¹⁰ Who is among you* that fears Jehovah, who obeys the voice of his servant? He who walks in darkness and has no light, let him trust in the name of Jehovah and rely upon his God.

¹⁵ For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, also with him who is of a crushed and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the crushed.
¹⁶ For I will not contend everlasting, nor will I always be angry, for the spirit would faint before me and the souls that I have made. ¹⁷ For the iniquity of his covetousness I was angry and killed* him. I hid my face and was angry and he went on backsliding in the way of his heart.
¹⁸ I have seen his ways and will heal him. I will lead him also and restore comforts to him and to his mourners.

¹ The Spirit of the lord Jehovah is upon me, because Jehovah has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind and the opening of bonds to those who are bound, ² to proclaim the acceptable year of Jehovah and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, ³ to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified.

² For all these things my hand has made and all these things came to be, says Jehovah.
But to this man I will look, even to him who is poor and of a crushed spirit and who trembles at my word.

¹² For Jehovah says thus, Your hurt is incurable and your wound grievous. ¹³ There is none to plead your cause, that you may be bound up; you have no healing medicines. ¹⁴ All who love you have forgotten you; they do not seek you. For I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the greatness of your iniquity, because your sins were increased.
¹⁵ Why do you cry for your hurt? Your pain is incurable, for the greatness of your iniquity. Because your sins were increased, I have done these things to you.
¹⁶ Therefore all those who devour you will be devoured and all your adversaries, every one of them, will go into captivity. And those who despoil you will be a spoil and all who prey upon you I will give for a prey. ¹⁷ For I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Jehovah, because they have called you an outcast, saying, It is Zion, whom no man seeks after.

¹⁸ I have surely heard Ephraim sympathize within himself saying, You have disciplined me and I was disciplined as a calf unaccustomed to the yoke. Turn me back and I will be turned back, for you are Jehovah my God.
¹⁹ Surely after that I was turned back. I repented and after I was instructed, I killed* upon my thigh. I was ashamed, yes, even confounded, because I bore the reproach of my youth.
²⁰ Is Ephraim my dear son? Is he a darling child? For as often as I speak against him, I do earnestly remember him still. Therefore my heart yearns for him. I will surely have mercy upon him, says Jehovah.

²⁵ For I have satiated the weary soul and every sorrowful soul I have replenished.

¹⁶ I will seek what was lost and will bring back what was driven away and will bind up what was broken and will strengthen what was sick, but I will destroy the fat and the strong. I will feed them in justice.

⁹ I will bear the indignation of Jehovah, because I have sinned against him, until he pleads my case and executes judgment for me. He will bring me forth to the light and I will behold his righteousness.

²⁸ Come-here to me, all you who labor and have been loaded down, and I will be giving-rest to you.

¹⁰ See that you do not despise one of these little ones; for I say to you, that in the heavens their messengers are always looking at the face of my Father who is in the heavens. ¹¹ For the Son of Man came to save what has been lost.

¹² What are you thinking? If there should happen to be any man who has a hundred sheep, and one out of them might be misled, does he not leave the ninety nine and travel on the mountains, and seek the one which is misled? ¹³ And if he happens to find it, assuredly I am saying to you, He rejoices over it more than over the ninety nine which have not been misled. ¹⁴ So it is also not the will before your Father who is in the heavens, that one of these little ones should perish.

³¹ Now the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, the Adversary asked for you, to sift you like wheat. ³² But I besought concerning you, in order that your faith may not fail, and someday having turned back again, establish your brethren.

³⁰ I am able to do nothing of myself. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is righteous, because I am not seeking my own will, but the will of the Father who sent me.

¹⁹ Therefore being evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors had been locked where the disciples were gathered because of fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the middle, and says to them, Peace to you. ²⁰ And having said this, he showed to them the hands and his ribs. Therefore the disciples rejoiced, having seen the Lord.
²¹ Therefore Jesus said to them again, Peace to you; just-as the Father has sent me; I am also sending you.

²⁷ Thereafter he says to Thomas, Bring your finger here and behold the hands, and bring your hand here and put it into my ribs and do not become unbelieving, but become believing.

¹⁷ Hence he was obligated to have been similar to his brethren according to all things, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high-priest in the things pertaining to God, that he should make atonement for the sins of the people. ¹⁸ For in what he has suffered, having been tempted, he is able to help with those who are tempted.

¹¹ And I saw the heaven has been opened, and behold, a white horse and he who sits upon it being called Faithful and True, and he is judging in righteousness and is making war.

¹⁰ The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs and to him will the obedience of the peoples be.

²⁷ All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to Jehovah and all the kinfolk of the nations will worship before you.

⁸ He will also have dominion from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.
⁹ Those who dwell in the wilderness will bow before him and his enemies will lick the dust.
¹⁰ The kings of Tarshish and of the isles will render tribute. The kings of Sheba and Seba will offer gifts. ¹¹ Yes, all kings will fall down before him. All nations will serve him.

² Jehovah has made known his salvation. He has openly shown his righteousness in the sight of the nations.
³ He has remembered his loving kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

² And it will happen in the latter days, that the mountain of Jehovah's house will be established on the top of the mountains and will be exalted above the hills and all nations will flow to it. ³ And many peoples will go and say, Come and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, to the house of the God of Jacob and he will teach us of his ways and we will walk in his paths. For out of Zion will go forth the law and the word of Jehovah from Jerusalem.

⁷ Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from hereafter until everlasting. The zeal of Jehovah of hosts will perform this.

⁹ They will not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters cover the sea.
¹⁰ And there will be a root of Jesse in that day and he who arises to rule over the Gentiles. In him will the Gentiles hope and his resting place will be glorious.
¹¹ And it will happen in that day, that the Lord will set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, who will remain, from Assyria and from Egypt and from Pathros and from Cush and from Elam and from Shinar and from Hamath and from the islands of the sea. ¹² And he will set up an ensign for the nations and will assemble the outcasts of Israel and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

¹⁵ Therefore glorify you* Jehovah in the east, even the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel, in the isles of the sea. ¹⁶ From the outermost part of the earth we have heard songs. Glory to the righteous.
But I said, I pine away, I pine away. Woe is me! The treacherous have dealt treacherously, yes, the treacherous have dealt very treacherously.

⁵ The isles have seen and fear. The ends of the earth tremble, they draw near and come.

¹² Let them give glory to Jehovah and declare his praise in the islands.

¹ Listen, O isles, to me and listen, you* peoples from far. Jehovah has called me from the womb. From the guts of my mother he has made mention of my name.

He will be exalted and lifted up and will be very high. ¹⁴ Just as many were astonished at you (his visage was so marred, more than any man and his form more than the sons of men), ¹⁵ so will he sprinkle many nations. Kings will shut their mouths at him. For what had not been told them they will see and what they had not heard they will understand.

² For he grew up before him as a tender plant and as a root out of a dry ground. He has no form nor comeliness. And when we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
³ He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And as him from whom men hide their face he was despised and we esteemed him not.
⁴ Surely he has borne our griefs and has carried our sorrows.
Yet we esteemed him stricken, struck by God and afflicted. ⁵ But he was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon him and with his stripes we are healed.
⁶ All we like sheep have gone-astray. We have turned every one to his own way and Jehovah has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
⁷ He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he opened not his mouth. As a lamb that is led to the slaughter and as a sheep that is mute before its shearers, so he opened not his mouth.
⁸ In his humiliation his justice was taken away. And as for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living for the transgression of my people, to whom the stroke was due?
⁹ And they made his grave with the wicked and with a rich man in his death. Although he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.
¹⁰ Yet it pleased Jehovah to bruise him. He has put him to grief.
When you will make his soul an offering for sin, he will see his seed. He will prolong his days and the pleasure of Jehovah will prosper in his hand.
¹¹ He will see of the travail of his soul, and
will be satisfied. By the knowledge of himself will my righteous servant justify many and he will bear their iniquities.
¹² Therefore I will divide him a portion with the great and he will divide the spoil with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors. Yet he bore the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors.

⁵ Behold, you will call a nation that you do not know. And a nation that does not know you will run to you because of Jehovah your God and for the Holy One of Israel, for he has glorified you.

⁹ Surely the isles will wait for me and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, for the name of Jehovah your God and for the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified you.

¹⁹ And I will set a sign among them and I will send such as escape of them to the nations, to Tarshish, Pul and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, to the isles afar off, who have not heard my fame, nor have seen my glory and they will declare my glory among the nations.

¹ But in the latter days it will happen, that the mountain of Jehovah's house will be established on the top of the mountains and it will be exalted above the hills and peoples will flow to it.
² And many nations will go and say, Come and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah and to the house of the God of Jacob and he will teach us of his ways and we will walk in his paths. For out of Zion will go forth the law and the word of Jehovah from Jerusalem.
³ And he will judge between many peoples and will decide concerning strong nations afar off. And they will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning-hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, nor will they learn war any more.

¹¹ And many nations will join themselves to Jehovah in that day and will be my people and I will dwell in the midst of you. And you will know that Jehovah of hosts has sent me to you.

²¹ And the Gentiles will hope in his name.’

⁴ I glorified you upon the earth. I completed the work which you have given me, that I should be doing. ⁵ And now, Father, glorify me with yourself in the glory which I was holding with you before the world was.

²⁶ (14:25) but now having been manifested and by the prophetic Scriptures, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, has made known to all the nations, into the obedience of the faith; \ulnone\nosupersub

²¹ I became like the lawless to those who are lawless, (not being lawless to God, but lawful to Christ), in order that I might gain the lawless.

² Looking away from things, look toward Jesus, the author and completer of the faith, who endured the cross having despised shame, in exchange-for the joy laying before him, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. ³ For, study the one who has endured such dispute by sinners to himself, in order that you might not be weary, fainting in your souls. ⁴ You have not yet stood against this, as far as blood, in your struggle against sin.

²² He who did no sin, nor was treachery found in his mouth; ²³ who, being reviled, was not reviling again in return; when suffering, was not threatening, (but was giving himself to the one who judges righteously), ²⁴ who, himself, carried our sins in his body upon the tree, in order that we might live to righteousness, having died to our sins; by whose wound s you were healed.

¹⁰ And God called the dry land Earth and he called the gathering together of the waters Seas. And God saw that it was good.
¹¹ And God said, Let the earth put forth grass, herbs yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit (which has seed in it) according to their kind upon the earth. And it was so.
¹² And the earth brought out grass, herbs yielding seed according to their kind and trees bearing fruit (which has seed in it), according to their kind. And God saw that it was good.

²⁴ And God said, Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kind. And it was so.
²⁵ And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kind and the cattle according to their kind and everything that creeps upon the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

⁷ And Jehovah God formed man out of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul.

¹⁰ in whose hand is the soul of every living thing and the breath of all mankind?

³ (For my life is yet whole in me. And the spirit of God is in my nostrils.)

⁴ The Spirit of God has made me and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

¹⁴ If he sets his heart upon himself, if he gathers his spirit and his breath to himself,

¹ The earth is Jehovah's and the fullness of it, the world and those who dwell in it. ² Because he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the floods.

⁶ The heavens made were by the word of Jehovah and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

²⁵ You laid of old the foundation of the earth and the heavens are the work of your hands. ²⁶ They will perish, but you will endure. Yes, all of them will grow old like a garment. As a raiment you will change them and they will be changed,

² who covers yourself with light as with a garment, who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, ³ who lays the beams of his chambers in the waters, who makes the clouds his chariot, who walks upon the wings of the wind, ⁴ who makes his messengers spirits, his ministers a flame of fire, ⁵ who laid the foundations of the earth that it should not be shaken everlasting and forever.
⁶ You covered it with the deep as with a raiment. The waters stood above the mountains. ⁷ At your rebuke they fled. At the voice of your thunder they hastened away.
⁸ The mountains rose, the valleys sank down to the place which you had founded for them. ⁹ You have set a bound that they may not pass over, that they do not turn again to cover the earth.
¹⁰ He sends forth springs into the valleys. They run among the mountains. ¹¹ They give drink to every beast of the field. The wild donkeys quench their thirst.
¹² The birds of the heavens have their habitation by them. They sing among the branches. ¹³ He waters the mountains from his chambers. The earth is filled with the fruit of your works.
¹⁴ He causes the grass to grow for the cattle and herbage for the service of man, that he may bring forth food out of the earth, ¹⁵ and wine that gladdens the heart of man and oil to make his face to shine and bread that strengthens man's heart.
¹⁶ The trees of Jehovah are full, the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted, ¹⁷ where the birds make their nests. As for the stork, the fir trees are her house. ¹⁸ The high mountains are for the wild goats. The rocks are a refuge for the rock-baggers.
¹⁹ He appointed the moon for seasons. The sun knows his going down. ²⁰ You make darkness and it is night, during which all the beasts of the forest creep forth.
²¹ The young lions roar after their prey and seek their food from God. ²² The sun arises; they get away and lie down in their dens.
²³ Man goes forth to his work and to his labor until the evening.
²⁴ O Jehovah, how great are your works! You have made them all in wisdom. The earth is full of your riches.
²⁵ Yonder is the sea, great and wide, in which are innumerable creeping things, both small and great beasts. ²⁶ There go the ships. There is leviathan, whom you have formed to play in it.
²⁷ These all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season. ²⁸ You give to them, they gather. You open your hand, they are satisfied with good.
²⁹ You hide your face, they are troubled. You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.
³⁰ You send forth your Spirit, they are created and you renew the face of the ground.
³¹ Let the glory of Jehovah endure everlasting. Let Jehovah rejoice in his works, ³² who looks on the earth and it trembles. He touches the mountains and they smoke.
³³ I will sing to Jehovah as long as I live. I will sing praise to my God while I have any being. ³⁴ Let your meditation be sweet to him. I will rejoice in Jehovah.
³⁵ Let sinners be consumed out of the earth and let the wicked be no more.
Praise Jehovah, O my soul. Praise Jehovah.

⁶ to him who spread forth the earth above the waters, because his loving kindness is everlasting,

¹² Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and measured out heaven with the span and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance?

²² It is he who sits above the circle of the earth and the inhabitants of it are as grasshoppers, who stretches out the heavens as a curtain and spreads them out as a tent to dwell in,

²⁸ Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, Jehovah, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, nor is weary. There is no searching of his understanding.

²⁴ Jehovah says thus, your Redeemer and he who formed you from the womb: I am Jehovah, who makes all things, who stretches forth the heavens alone, who spreads abroad the earth (who is with me?),

¹² I have made the earth and created man upon it. I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens and all their host I have commanded.

¹⁸ For Jehovah says thus who created the heavens, the God who formed the earth and made it, who established it and did not create it a waste, who formed it to be inhabited: I am Jehovah and there is none else.

¹³ Yes, my hand has laid the foundation of the earth and my right hand has spread out the heavens. When I call to them, they stand up together.

¹² He has made the earth by his power. He has established the world by his wisdom and by his understanding he has stretched out the heavens.

¹⁷ Ah lord Jehovah! Behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for you,

²³ but have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven. And they have brought the vessels of his house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of brass, iron, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor know. And the God in whose hand your breath is and whose are all your ways, you have not glorified.

⁶ He who builds his chambers in the heavens and has founded his vault upon the earth, he who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out upon the face of the earth, Jehovah is his name.

¹ The burden of the word of Jehovah concerning Israel.
Jehovah says thus, who stretches forth the heavens and lays the foundation of the earth and forms the spirit of man within him:

²⁵ nor is he assisted by men’s hands, as if needy of anything, he is giving to all, life and breath in all things.

² whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the ages.

¹⁰ And, ‘You, Lord, at the beginnings, founded the earth and the heavens are the works of your hands: ¹¹ they themselves will be perishing, but you are remaining and they will all become-obsolete like a garment; ¹² and you will coil them up like an outer dressing and they will be changed, but you are the same and your years will not be failing.’

⁶ Your throne, O God, is everlasting and forever. A scepter of straightness is the scepter of your kingdom. ⁷ You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your companions.

³ You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

¹ Behold, a king will reign in righteousness and rulers will rule in justice.

¹³ For I, Jehovah your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, Do not fear, I will help you.

¹ Behold, my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights. I have put my Spirit upon him, he will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.

¹ But now Jehovah says thus who created you, O Jacob and he who formed you, O Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name, You are mine.

¹³ I have raised him up in righteousness and I will make straight all his ways. He will build my city and he will let my exiles go free, not for price nor reward, says Jehovah of hosts.

¹ Listen, O isles, to me and listen, you* peoples from far. Jehovah has called me from the womb. From the guts of my mother he has made mention of my name. ² And he has made my mouth like a sharp sword. He has hid me in the shadow of his hand and he has made me a polished shaft. He has kept me close in his quiver.
³ And he said to me, You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will be glorified.

⁶ yes, he says, It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved of Israel. I will also give you for a light to the Gentiles, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.

⁸ Jehovah says thus, In an acceptable time I have heard you and in a day of salvation I have helped you. And I will preserve you and give you for a covenant of the people, to raise up the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritages,

⁴ Attend to me, O my people and listen to me, O my nation. For a law will go forth from me and I will establish my justice for a light of the peoples. ⁵ My righteousness is near. My salvation has gone forth and my arms will judge the peoples. The isles will wait for me and on my arm they will trust.

¹ Arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of Jehovah has risen upon you. ² For, behold, darkness will cover the earth and gross darkness the peoples. But Jehovah will arise upon you and his glory will be seen upon you. ³ And nations will come to your light and kings to the brightness of your rising.

⁵ Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch and he will reign as king and deal wisely and will execute justice and righteousness in the land. ⁶ In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will dwell safely. And this is his name by which he will be called: Jehovah our righteousness.

¹⁵ In those days and at that time, I will cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up to David and he will execute justice and righteousness in the land. ¹⁶ In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will dwell safely. And this is the name whereby she will be called: Jehovah our righteousness.

²⁸ for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out on behalf of many into the forgiveness of sins.

⁶⁹ and has lifted up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his young-servant David, ⁷⁰ (just-as he spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets that have been from the ages past). ⁷¹ We have salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us; ⁷² to do his mercy with our fathers and his holy covenant to remember.

³² He is a light for revelation of the Gentiles and the glory of your people Israel.

¹² Therefore, again Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world. He who is following me may never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.

⁴⁷ For so the Lord has commanded to us, saying, ‘I have placed you for a light of the Gentiles, that you should be for salvation to the outermost parts of the earth.’

²³ If the Christ was ordained to suffer, if the Christ was first from the resurrection of the dead, then he is about to proclaim light to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles.

²⁵ whom God purposed as an atonement through the faith in his blood in an example of his righteousness, because of the passing over of the sins, having been done beforehand, ²⁶ (in the forbearance of God), even toward the example of his righteousness in this current time, that he may himself be righteous and who is making righteous the one from the faith of Jesus.

⁸ But I am saying that Christ Jesus has become a servant of the circumcision on behalf of the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given to the fathers, ⁹ and that the Gentiles are to glorify God on behalf of his mercy; as it has been written, ‘Because of this, I will profess you among the Gentiles and sing-praise to your name.’

²⁰ For as many things as are the promises of God, in him is the yes and in him is the amen, for glory to God through us.

¹⁵ Brethren, I am speaking according to the manner of man, even a man’s covenant when it has been validated, no one nullifies or alters it with provisions. ¹⁶ Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He did not say and to seeds, as upon many, but as upon one and ‘to your seed,’which is the Christ. ¹⁷ Now I am saying this: the law, having happened four hundred and thirty years after ward, is not invalidating the covenant that has been validated beforehand by God in reference to Christ, that it should do-away-with the promise.

⁸ But he says toward the Son, ‘Your throne, O God, is forevermore; the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom. ⁹ You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness. Because of this, God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness more than your companions.’

² to whom Abraham also divided a tenth away from all things. Being first, by translation, King of righteousness and thereafter also King of Salem, which is King of peace;

²⁶ For such a high-priest was suitable to us, holy, guiltless, undefiled, has been separated away from sinners and became exalted from the heavens;

⁶ But now he has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as he is also the intermediary of a better covenant, which has been instituted upon better promises.

¹⁵ And because of this, he is the intermediary of a new covenant, that his death having happened for the redemption of the transgressions that were against the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the everlasting inheritance.

²⁴ and to Jesus the intermediary of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling which speaks better than that of Abel.

²⁰ Now the God of peace, who brought up the great shepherd of the sheep, our Lord Jesus, from the dead in the blood of an everlasting covenant,

⁹ But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s ownership, that you may proclaim the virtues of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;

¹⁰ even those who sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron, ¹¹ because they rebelled against the words of God and scorned the counsel of the Most High.
¹² Therefore he brought down their heart with labor. They fell down and there was none to help.
¹³ Then they cried to Jehovah in their trouble and he saved them out of their distresses. ¹⁴ He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death and broke their bonds apart.
¹⁵ O that men would praise Jehovah for his loving kindness and for his wonderful works to the sons of men!
¹⁶ Because he has broken the gates of brass and cut the bars of iron apart.

⁷ who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. Jehovah releases the prisoners.
⁸ Jehovah opens the eyes of the blind. Jehovah raises up those who are bowed down. Jehovah loves the righteous.

² The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light. Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them the light has shone.

¹⁸ And in that day the deaf will hear the words of the book and the eyes of the blind will see out of obscurity and out of darkness.

⁵ Then the eyes of the blind will be opened and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped.

¹⁶ And I will bring the blind by a way that they do not know. I will lead them in paths that they do not know. I will make darkness light before them and crooked places straight. These things I will do and I will not forsake them.

²² But this is a people robbed and plundered. They are all of them snared in holes and they are hid in prison-houses. They are for a prey and none delivers, for a spoil and none says, Restore.

⁹ saying to those who are bound, Go forth; to those who are in darkness, Show yourselves. They will feed in the ways and their pasture will be on all bare heights.

¹¹ As for you also, because of the blood of your covenant I have set free your prisoners from the pit in which is no water.
¹² Turn back to the stronghold, you* prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will render double to you.

⁵ the blind recover their sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, the dead are raised and the poor have the good-news proclaimed to them.

¹⁸ ‘ The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, in that, he anointed me to proclaim the good-news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the crushed in heart, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth the downtrodden in deliverance, ¹⁹ to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.’ ²⁰ And having furled the scroll and giving it back to the attendant, he sat down, and the eyes of all were staring at him in the synagogue. ²¹ But he began to say to them, This Scripture has been fulfilled today in your ears.

⁴⁵ Then he opened their mind to understand the Scriptures.

³⁹ And Jesus said, I came into this world for judgment, in order that those who do not see, may see, and those who see, may become blind.

¹⁸ to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light, and from the authority of the Adversary to God, in order for them to receive forgiveness of sins, and an inheritance among those who have been made holy in faith, the faith in me.

⁶ Because it is God, who said, ‘Illumination shine’out of darkness, who shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

¹⁷ in order that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of him, ¹⁸ the eyes of your heart having been enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance among the holy-ones,

²⁶ and they might sober up out of the snare of the devil, having been caught live by him to that man’s will.

¹⁴ Therefore since the children have shared of flesh and blood, in like-manner he partook of the same; in order that through death, he might do-away-with the one who had the dominion of death, this is the devil; ¹⁵ and he might set-free these, as many as were in fear of death, who were liable to bondage throughout all their life.

¹⁸ I am counseling together with you to buy gold from me, having been refined out of fire, in order that you may be enriched, and in order that you should dress yourself with white garments and in order that the shame of your nakedness should not be manifested to all, and in order that you may anoint your eyes with eye-salve, in order that you may see.

¹³ And Moses said to God, Behold, when I come to the sons of Israel and will say to them, The God of your* fathers has sent me to you* and they will say to me, What is his name? What shall I say to them? ¹⁴ And God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM. And he said, Thus you will say to the sons of Israel, I AM has sent me to you*.
¹⁵ And God said moreover to Moses, Thus you will say to the sons of Israel, Jehovah, the God of your* fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you*. This is my name everlasting and this is my memorial to all generations.

⁵ that they may believe that Jehovah, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.

³ You will have no other gods before me.
⁴ You will not make to you a graven image, nor any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. ⁵ You will not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them, because I, Jehovah your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons, upon the third and upon the fourth generation of those who hate me,

¹⁴ for you will worship no other god. For Jehovah, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

¹⁸ that they may know that you alone, whose name is Jehovah, are the Most High over all the earth.

¹¹ I, even I, am Jehovah and besides me there is no savior.

¹¹ For my own sake, for my own sake, I will do it. For how should my name be profaned? And I will not give my glory to another.

²³ in order that all may honor the Son, just-as they are honoring the Father. He who is not honoring the Son, is not honoring the Father who sent him.

⁵⁸ Jesus said to them, Assuredly, assuredly, I am saying to you, Before Abraham was born, I am.

¹² And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram. And behold, a horror of great darkness fell upon him.
¹³ And God said to Abram, Know of a certainty that your seed will be travelers in a land that is not theirs. And your seed will serve them and they will afflict them for four hundred years. ¹⁴ And I will also judge that nation, whom they will serve and afterward they will come out with great substance. ¹⁵ But you will go to your fathers in peace; you will be buried at a good old age. ¹⁶ And they will come here again in the fourth generation, because the iniquity of the Amorite is not yet full.

⁴⁵ There failed not anything of any good thing which Jehovah had spoken to the house of Israel; all happened.

¹⁴ And behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth. And you* know in all your* hearts and in all your* souls, that not one thing has failed of all the good things which Jehovah your* God spoke concerning you*. All have happen to you*; not one thing has failed of it.
¹⁵ And it will happen, that as all the good things have come upon you* of which Jehovah your* God spoke to you*, so will Jehovah bring upon you* all the evil things, until he has destroyed you* from this good land which Jehovah your* God has given you*.

¹⁵ And he said, Praise Jehovah, the God of Israel, who spoke with his mouth to David my father and has with his hand fulfilled it, saying, ¹⁶ Since the day that I brought out my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build a house, that my name might be there, but I chose David to be over my people Israel.
¹⁷ Now it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel. ¹⁸ But Jehovah said to David my father, Because it was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was in your heart. ¹⁹ Nevertheless you will not build the house, but your son that will come forth out of your loins, he will build the house for my name.
²⁰ And Jehovah has established his word that he spoke, for I have risen up in the place of David my father and sit on the throne of Israel, as Jehovah promised and have built the house for the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel.

³⁶ And I will give one tribe to his son, that David my servant may have a lamp always before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen for me to put my name there.

²² Let them bring forth and declare to us what will happen. Declare the former things, what they are, that we may consider them and know the latter end of them, or show us things to come.
²³ Declare the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that you* are gods. Yes, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed and behold it together.

¹⁹ Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it will spring forth. Shall you* not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

⁷ And who, as I, will call and will declare it and set it in order for me, since I established the people of old? And let them declare the things that are coming and that will happen. ⁸ Do not fear, nor be afraid. Have I not declared to you of old and shown it? And you* are my witnesses. Is there a God besides me? Yes, there is no Rock. I do not know any.

⁹ Remember the former things of old, for I am God and there is none else. I am God and there is none like me, ¹⁰ declaring the end from the beginning and from long-ago things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel will stand and I will do all my pleasure,

¹⁹ From now on I tell you before it is to happen, in order that, whenever it has happened, you may believe that I am he. \ulnone\nosupersub

¹⁸ (known to God are all his works from the age.)

¹⁰ Concerning which salvation the prophets, who prophesied concerning the favor that would come to you, sought out and utterly searched out; ¹¹ searching what time or what sort of time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating, when testifying beforehand of the sufferings for Christ and the glories following after these things. ¹² To whom it was revealed, that they were serving these things not to themselves, but to you; which things now have been reported to you through those who proclaimed the good-news to you in the Holy Spirit, when he was sent forth from heaven; into which things messengers desire to peer into.

¹⁹ And we have the steadfast prophetic word, (as to a lamp appearing in a dreary place, until the day should dawn and the morning-star might rise), to which you are doing well, and taking-heed in your hearts. ²⁰ Knowing this first, that every prophecy of Scripture does not come from one’s own interpretation. ²¹ For no prophecy was ever brought about by the will of man, but the holy men of God spoke the word being carried by the Holy Spirit.

³² Let the sea roar and the fullness of it. Let the field rejoice and all that is in it.

³ Sing to him a new song. Play skillfully with a shout of joy.

³ And he has put a new song in my mouth, even praise to our God. Many will see it and fear and will trust in Jehovah.

¹ O sing to Jehovah a new song. Sing to Jehovah, all the earth. ² Sing to Jehovah, bless his name. Show forth his salvation from day to day. ³ Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples.

¹¹ Let the heavens be glad and let the earth rejoice. Let the sea roar and the fullness of it.

¹ Jehovah reigns! Let the earth rejoice. Let the multitude of isles be glad.

¹ O sing to Jehovah a new song, because he has done marvelous things. His right hand and his holy arm, has worked salvation for him. ² Jehovah has made known his salvation. He has openly shown his righteousness in the sight of the nations.
³ He has remembered his loving kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
⁴ Shout to Jehovah, all the earth. Break forth and sing for joy, yes, sing praises.

²³ Those who go down to the sea in ships, who do business in great waters, ²⁴ these men see the works of Jehovah and his wonders in the deep.
²⁵ For he commands and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up the waves of it. ²⁶ They mountain up to the heavens, they go down again to the depths. Their soul melts away because of trouble. ²⁷ They reel to and fro and stagger like a drunken man and are at their wits' end.
²⁸ Then they cry to Jehovah in their trouble and he brings them out of their distresses. ²⁹ He makes the storm a calm, so that the waves of it are still. ³⁰ Then they are glad because they are quiet, so he brings them to their desired haven.
³¹ O that men would praise Jehovah for his loving kindness and for his wonderful works to the sons of men! ³² Let them also exalt him in the assembly of the people and praise him in the seat of the elders.

¹ O praise Jehovah, all you* Gentiles, laud him, all you* peoples.
² Because his loving kindness is great toward us and the truth of Jehovah is everlasting.
Praise Jehovah.

¹ Praise Jehovah.
Praise you* Jehovah from the heavens. Praise him in the heights. ² Praise him, all his messengers. Praise him, all his host. ³ Praise him, sun and moon. Praise him, all you* stars of light. ⁴ Praise him, you* heavens of heavens and you* waters that are above the heavens.
⁵ Let them praise the name of Jehovah. Because he commanded and they were created. ⁶ He has also established them everlasting and forever. He has made a decree which will not pass away.
⁷ Praise Jehovah from the earth, you* sea creatures and all depths, ⁸ fire and hail, snow and vapor, stormy wind, fulfilling his word, ⁹ mountains and all hills, fruitful trees and all cedars, ¹⁰ beasts and all cattle, creeping things and flying birds, ¹¹ kings of the earth and all peoples, rulers and all judges of the earth, ¹² both young men and virgins, old men and sons.
¹³ Let them praise the name of Jehovah, because his name alone is exalted. His glory is above the earth and the heavens.
¹⁴ And he has lifted up the horn of his people, the praise of all his holy ones, even of the sons of Israel, a people near to him. Praise Jehovah.

⁶ Let everything that has breath praise Jehovah.
Praise Jehovah.

¹⁴ These will lift up their voice. They will shout. For the majesty of Jehovah they cry aloud from the sea.

⁴ He will not fail nor be discouraged till he has set justice in the earth. And in his name Gentiles will hope.

²³ Sing, O you* heavens, for Jehovah has done it. Shout, you* lower parts of the earth. Break forth into singing, you* mountains, O forest and every tree in it. For Jehovah has redeemed Jacob and will glorify himself in Israel.

¹³ Sing, O heavens and be joyful, O earth and break forth into singing, O mountains. For Jehovah has comforted his people and will have compassion upon his afflicted.

⁵ My righteousness is near. My salvation has gone forth and my arms will judge the peoples. The isles will wait for me and on my arm they will trust.

¹⁴ Behold, my servants will sing for joy of heart, but you* will cry for sorrow of heart and will wail for vexation of spirit.

¹¹ Jehovah will be terrible to them, for he will famish all the gods of the earth. And men will worship him, everyone from his place, even all the isles of the nations.

⁹ and that the Gentiles are to glorify God on behalf of his mercy; as it has been written, ‘Because of this, I will profess you among the Gentiles and sing-praise to your name.’ ¹⁰ And again he says, ‘Gentiles be joyous with his people.’ ¹¹ And again, ‘Praise the Lord, all the Gentiles, and let all the peoples praise him.’

⁹ And they are singing a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the book and to open its seals, because you were slaughtered and bought us in your blood for God out of every tribe and language and people and nation.

³ And they are singing a new song in the sight of the throne and in the sight the four living creatures and the elders and no one was able to learn the song except the hundred and forty-four thousand, who have been bought out of the earth.

²³ And Jehovah said to her, Two nations are in your womb and two peoples will be separated from your guts. And the one people will be stronger than the other people. And the elder will serve the younger.

⁸ He will also have dominion from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.
⁹ Those who dwell in the wilderness will bow before him and his enemies will lick the dust.
¹⁰ The kings of Tarshish and of the isles will render tribute. The kings of Sheba and Seba will offer gifts.

⁵ Woe is me, that I journey in Meshech, that I dwell among the tents of Kedar!

¹ Send you* the lambs for the ruler of the land from Selah to the wilderness, to the mountain of the daughter of Zion.

¹⁶ For thus the Lord has said to me, Within a year, according to the years of a hireling, all the glory of Kedar will fail.

¹ The wilderness and the dry land will be glad. And the desert will rejoice and blossom as the rose.

⁶ Then the lame man will leap as a male-deer and the tongue of the mute will sing. For waters in the wilderness will break out and streams in the desert.

³ The voice of a man crying out in the wilderness, Prepare the way of Jehovah, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

¹⁸ I will open rivers on the bare heights and fountains in the midst of the valleys. I will make the wilderness a pool of water and the dry land springs of water. ¹⁹ I will put in the wilderness the cedar, the acacia and the myrtle and the oil tree. I will set in the desert the fir tree, the pine and the box tree together,

⁷ How lovely are the feet of him who brings good news upon the mountains, who proclaims peace, who brings good news of good, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, Your God reigns!

⁷ All the flocks of Kedar will be gathered together to you. The rams of Nebaioth will minister to you. They will come up with acceptance on my altar and I will glorify the house of my glory.

¹³ Behold, I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley and of the rock of the plain, says Jehovah, you* who say, Who will come down against us? Or who will enter into our habitations?

²⁸ O you* inhabitants of Moab, leave the cities and dwell in the rock and be like the dove that makes her nest over the mouth of the abyss.

¹⁶ As for your formidableness, the pride of your heart has deceived you, O you who dwells in the clefts of the rock, who holds the height of the hill. Though you should make your nest as high as the eagle, I will bring you down from there, says Jehovah.

³ The pride of your heart has deceived you, O you who dwell in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high, who says in his heart, Who will bring me down to the ground?

¹⁵ Behold, upon the mountains the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace! Keep your feasts, O Judah. Perform your vows, for the wicked one will no more pass through you. He is utterly cut off.

³ Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples.
⁴ Because great is Jehovah and greatly to be praised. He is to be feared above all gods. ⁵ Because all the gods of the peoples are idols, but Jehovah made the heavens. ⁶ Honor and majesty are before him. Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
⁷ Give to Jehovah, you* kindred of the peoples. Give to Jehovah glory and strength. ⁸ Give to Jehovah the glory due to his name. Bring an offering and come into his courts. ⁹ O worship Jehovah in holy array. Tremble before him, all the earth.
¹⁰ Say among the nations, Jehovah reigns! The world also is established that it cannot be shaken. He will judge the peoples with uprightness.

¹⁸ For I know their works and their thoughts.
The time comes, that I will gather all nations and languages and they will come and will see my glory. ¹⁹ And I will set a sign among them and I will send such as escape of them to the nations, to Tarshish, Pul and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, to the isles afar off, who have not heard my fame, nor have seen my glory and they will declare my glory among the nations.

⁹ And they are singing a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the book and to open its seals, because you were slaughtered and bought us in your blood for God out of every tribe and language and people and nation.
¹⁰ And you made them kings and priests to our God, and they will be reigning over the earth.

⁹ I saw and behold after these things, a large crowd, which no one was able to number, out of every nation and tribes and peoples and languages, standing in the sight of the throne and in the sight of the Lamb, having been dressed in white robes and palm trees in their hands; ¹⁰ and they are crying with a loud voice, saying, The salvation is in our God who is sitting upon the throne and in the Lamb.
¹¹ And all the messengers and the elders and the four living creatures stood in a circle of the throne, and they fell upon their faces in the sight of the throne and worshiped God, ¹² saying, Assuredly, the thanks and the glory and the wisdom and the thanksgiving and the honor and the power and the strength is to our God, forevermore. Amen.

¹ Then Moses and the sons of Israel sang this song to Jehovah and spoke, saying, I will sing to Jehovah, because he has triumphed gloriously. The horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.
² Jehovah is my strength and song and he has become my salvation. This is my God and I will praise him, my father's God and I will exalt him. ³ Jehovah is a man of war. Jehovah is his name.

⁶⁵ Then the Lord awoke as out of sleep, like a mighty man who shouts because of wine.

⁵ The Lord at your right hand will strike through kings in the day of his wrath. ⁶ He will judge among the nations. He will fill with dead bodies. He will strike through the head in many countries.

¹⁶ The right hand of Jehovah is exalted. The right hand of Jehovah does valiantly.

¹¹ Jehovah, your hand is lifted up, yet they do not see. But they will see your zeal for the people and be put to shame. Yes, fire will devour your adversaries.

⁴ For Jehovah says thus to me, As the lion and the young lion growling over his prey, even if a multitude of shepherds are called forth against him, he will not be dismayed at their voice, nor dismayed for the noise of them, so Jehovah of hosts will come down to fight upon Mount Zion and upon the hill of it.

¹⁶ And he saw that there was no man and wondered that there was no intercessor. Therefore his own arm brought salvation to him. And his righteousness, it upheld him. ¹⁷ And he put on righteousness as a breastplate and a helmet of salvation upon his head. And he put on garments of vengeance for clothing and was clad with zeal as a mantle.
¹⁸ According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, wrath to his adversaries, recompense to his enemies. He will repay recompense to the islands.
¹⁹ So they will fear the name of Jehovah from the west and his glory from the rising of the sun. For he will come as a rushing stream, which the breath of Jehovah drives.

¹ Who is this who comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah, this who is glorious in his apparel, marching in the greatness of his strength? I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
² Why are you red in your apparel and your garments like he who treads in the wine vat? ³ I have trodden the winepress alone and of the peoples there was no man with me. Yes, I trod them in my anger and trampled them in my wrath and their lifeblood is sprinkled upon my garments and I have stained all my garments. ⁴ For the day of vengeance was in my heart and the year of my redeemed has come.

¹⁴ And you* will see and your* heart will rejoice and your* bones will flourish like the tender grass. And the hand of Jehovah will be known toward his servants and he will have indignation against his enemies.

³⁰ Therefore prophesy you against them all these words and say to them, Jehovah will roar from on high and utter his voice from his holy habitation. He will mightily roar against his fold. He will give a shout, as those who tread grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.

¹⁰ They will walk after Jehovah, who will roar like a lion. For he will roar and the sons will come trembling from the west.

¹⁶ And Jehovah will roar from Zion and utter his voice from Jerusalem and the heavens and the earth will shake. But Jehovah will be a refuge to his people and a stronghold to the sons of Israel.

² And he said, Jehovah will roar from Zion and utter his voice from Jerusalem and the pastures of the shepherds will mourn and the top of Carmel will wither.

² Jehovah is a jealous God and avenges. Jehovah avenges and is full of wrath. Jehovah takes vengeance on his adversaries and he reserves wrath for his enemies.

¹⁸ Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to deliver them in the day of Jehovah's wrath, but the whole land will be devoured by the fire of his jealousy. For he will make an end, yes, a terrible end, of all those who dwell in the land.

⁸ Therefore wait for me, says Jehovah, until the day that I rise up to the prey. For my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them my indignation, even all my fierce anger. For all the earth will be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.

¹⁸ for I am full of words. The spirit within me compels me.

²⁰ I will speak that I may be refreshed. I will open my lips and answer.

² Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shone forth.

¹ O God, do not keep your silence. Do not hold your peace and do not be still, O God. ² Because behold, your enemies make a tumult and those who hate you have lifted up the head.

¹¹ Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
¹² Though a sinner does evil a hundred times and prolongs his days, yet surely I know that it will be well with those who fear God, who fear before him.

⁶ You have rejected me, says Jehovah. You have gone backward. Therefore I have stretched out my hand against you and destroyed you. I am weary with relenting.

²² So that Jehovah could no longer bear, because of the evil of your* practices and because of the abominations which you* have committed. Therefore your* land has become a desolation and an astonishment and a curse, without inhabitant, as it is this day.

⁷ Now, should God not do the avenging of his chosen who are crying to him day and night? Also, should he not have patience upon them?

⁹ The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some deem slowness, but has patience toward us, not planning for any to perish, but for all to make room in your^\'b0 hearts for repentance.
¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will be coming like a thief in the night; in which the heavens will be passing away with a crashing-sound, and the elements will be dissolved, being burnt with heat, and the earth and the works which are in it will be burned up.

¹⁵ And deem the patience of our Lord to be salvation; just-as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom which was given to him;

⁷ Then the earth shook and trembled. The foundations also of the mountains quaked and were shaken because he was angry.

³³ He turns rivers into a wilderness and water springs into a thirsty ground, ³⁴ a fruitful land into a salt desert, for the wickedness of those who dwell in it.

³ The sea saw it and fled. The Jordan was driven back. ⁴ The mountains skipped like rams, the little hills like lambs.
⁵ What is it to you, O you the sea, that you flee? You Jordan, that you turn back? ⁶ You* mountains, that you* skip like rams, you* little hills, like lambs?
⁷ Tremble, you earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,

¹² For there will be a day of Jehovah of hosts upon all that is proud and haughty and upon all that is lifted up and it will be brought low, ¹³ and upon all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up and upon all the oaks of Bashan, ¹⁴ and upon all the high mountains and upon all the hills that are lifted up, ¹⁵ and upon every lofty tower and upon every fortified wall, ¹⁶ and upon all the ships of Tarshish and upon all desirable imagery.

¹⁵ And Jehovah will utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea. And with his scorching wind he will wave his hand over the River and will kill* it into seven streams and cause men to march over dry shod. ¹⁶ And there will be a highway for the remnant of his people, who will remain, from Assyria, like as there was for Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

²⁷ who says to the deep, Be dry and I will dry up your rivers,

¹¹ And I will make all my mountains a way and my highways will be exalted.

² Why, when I came, was there no man? When I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? Or have I no power to deliver? Behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea. I make the rivers a wilderness. Their fish stink because there is no water and die for thirst.

²⁴ I beheld the mountains, and behold, they trembled and all the hills moved to and fro.

²⁰ so that the fishes of the sea and the birds of the heavens and the beasts of the field and all creeping things that creep upon the earth and all the men who are upon the face of the earth, will shake at my presence. And the mountains will be thrown down and the steep places will fall and every wall will fall to the ground.

⁴ He rebukes the sea and makes it dry and dries up all the rivers. Bashan languishes and Carmel and the flower of Lebanon languishes. ⁵ The mountains quake at him and the hills melt and the earth is upheaved at his presence. Yes, the world and all who dwell in it.
⁶ Who can stand before his indignation? And who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? His wrath is poured out like fire and the rocks are broken apart by him.

⁶ He stood and measured the earth. He beheld and drove apart the nations. And the eternal mountains were scattered. The everlasting hills bowed. His traveling are everlasting.
⁷ I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction. The curtains of the land of Midian trembled. ⁸ Was Jehovah displeased with the rivers? Was your anger against the rivers, or your wrath against the sea, that you rode upon your horses, upon your chariots of salvation?
⁹ Your bow was exposed. Naked are the oaths of the tribes to your word. Selah. You split the earth with rivers. ¹⁰ The mountains saw you and were afraid. The tempest of waters passed by. The deep uttered its voice and lifted up its hands on high.

⁶ For Jehovah of hosts says thus: Yet once, it is a little while and I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land.

¹¹ And he will pass through the sea of affliction and will kill* the waves in the sea and all the depths of the Nile will dry up. And the pride of Assyria will be brought down and the scepter of Egypt will depart.

¹² And I saw when he opened the sixth seal and a great earthquake happened, and the sun became black like hairy sackcloth and the whole moon became like blood; ¹³ and the stars of the heaven fell to the earth, like a fig tree, having cast its unripe figs when being shaken by a great wind. ¹⁴ And the heaven departed like a scroll being coiled up, and every mountain and every island were moved out of their places. ¹⁵ And the kings of the earth and the great-men and the commanders and the rich and the strong and every bondservant and free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains; ¹⁶ and they say to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall upon us and hide us from the face of the one who is sitting upon the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb; ¹⁷ for the great day of his wrath has come, and who is able to stand?

⁷ And the first trumpet sounded and there became hail and fire, having been mixed in blood and they were cast to the earth and the third of the earth was burnt up and the third of the trees was burnt up and all the pale-green grass was burnt up.
⁸ And the second messenger sounded and something like a great mountain burning was cast into the sea and the third of the sea became blood; ⁹ and the third of the created things, (those who have life), died which were in the sea, and the third of the ships decayed.
¹⁰ And the third messenger sounded and a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch and it fell upon the third of the rivers and upon the springs of the waters; ¹¹ and the name of the star is called the wormwood and the third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the waters, because they were made bitter.
¹² And the fourth messenger sounded and the third of the sun was pounded and the third of the moon and the third of the stars; in order that the third of them should be darkened and the day might not appear for the third of it and the night likewise.

¹³ And in that day there became a great earthquake and the tenth part of the city fell, and the names of seven thousand men were killed in the earthquake and the rest became fearful and gave glory to the God of heaven.

¹² And the sixth poured out his bowl upon the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, in order that the way of the kings who come from the rising of the sun might be prepared.

¹⁸ And there became lightnings and thunders and voices, and there became a great earthquake, such-as has not happened from which time men were born upon the earth, so-great an earthquake–so great!

¹¹ And I saw a great white throne and the one who sits upon it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away, and no place was found for them.

⁴ Yet there will be a space between you* and it, about two thousand cubits by measure. Do not come near to it, that you* may know the way by which you* must go, for you* have not passed this way yesterday and the day before.

¹⁴ Because Jehovah will not cast off his people, nor will he forsake his inheritance.

¹⁵ What is crooked cannot be made straight and what is wanting cannot be numbered.

¹³ Consider the work of God. Because who can make that straight, which he has made crooked?

²⁴ They who also go-astray in spirit will come to understanding and those who murmur will receive instruction.

²¹ And your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way, walk you* in it when you* turn to the right hand and when you* turn to the left.

³ And the eyes of those who see will not be dim and the ears of those who hear will listen.

⁸ And a highway will be there and a way. And it will be called The way of holiness. The unclean will not pass over it, but it will be for the redeemed, the wayfaring men. Yes fools will not go-astray in it.

⁴ Every valley will be exalted and every mountain and hill will be made low. And the crooked will become straight and the rough places smooth.

³ He pursues them and passes on safely, even by a way that he had not gone with his feet.

² I will go before you and make the rough places smooth. I will break in pieces the doors of brass and cut apart the bars of iron.

¹⁷ Jehovah says thus, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am Jehovah your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way that you should go.

¹³ And all your sons will be taught of Jehovah and great will be the peace of your sons.

¹ Arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of Jehovah has risen upon you. ² For, behold, darkness will cover the earth and gross darkness the peoples. But Jehovah will arise upon you and his glory will be seen upon you.

¹⁹ The sun will no more be your light by day, nor for brightness will the moon give light to you, but Jehovah will be to you an everlasting light and your God your glory. ²⁰ Your sun will no more go down, nor will your moon withdraw itself, for Jehovah will be your everlasting light. And the days of your mourning will be ended.

⁸ Behold, I will bring them from the north country and gather them from the outermost parts of the earth and with them the blind man and the lame man, the woman with child and she who travails with child together. They will return here a great company.
⁹ They will come with weeping. And I will lead them with supplications. I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way in which they will not stumble. For I am a father to Israel and Ephraim is my firstborn.

³⁹ And I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for the good of them and of their sons after them.
⁴⁰ And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from following them, to do them good. And I will put my fear in their hearts, that they may not depart from me. ⁴¹ Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good. And I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.

²³ And they will comfort you* when you* see their way and their practices. And you* will know that I have not done all that I have done in it without cause, says the lord Jehovah.

⁶ Therefore, behold, I will hedge up your way with thorns and I will build a wall against her, that she will not find her paths.

¹⁴ Therefore, behold, I will allure her and bring her into the wilderness and speak soothingly to her.

⁷⁸ through the heart of mercy of our God, in which the rising of light from on high has visited us, ⁷⁹ to appear upon those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death; to steer our feet into the way of peace.

⁵ Every valley will be filled and every mountain and hill will be humbled. And the crooked will become straight and the rough ways, smooth.

⁸ But God is establishing his own love toward us, in that when we were still sinners, Christ died on our behalf. ⁹ Therefore much more, having been now made righteous in his blood, we will be saved from the wrath of God through him. ¹⁰ For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, having been reconciled, we will be saved in his life;

²⁹ Because, whom he knew beforehand, he also predetermined, one transformed to the image of his Son, that he himself might be the firstborn among many brethren; ³⁰ and whom he predetermined, he also invited these and whom he invited, he also made these righteous and whom he made righteous, he also glorified these.
³¹ Therefore what will we say to these things? If God is working on our behalf, who is against us?

⁸ For you were previously in darkness, but now you^\'b0 are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light

¹³ But we ought to thank God always concerning you brethren, beloved by the Lord, that God himself selected you from the beginning to salvation in holiness of the Spirit and in faith of the truth; ¹⁴ to which he called you through our good-news, for the acquisition of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁵ In the manner of life, not being a money-lover, be content with the things which are present; for he himself has said, I may never be lax concerning you, nor should I ever forsake you.

³ The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is gracious, who according to his much mercy has born us again into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, ⁴ into an incorruptible, undefiled and unfading inheritance having been guarded in the heavens for you; ⁵ who are kept through faith in the power of God, into a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

⁴ And he received it at their hand and fashioned it with a graving tool and made it a molten calf. And they said, These are your gods, O Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt.

⁸ They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them. They have made for them a molten calf and have worshiped it and have sacrificed to it and said, These are your gods, O Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt.

⁷ Let all those be put to shame who serve graven images, who boast themselves of idols. Bow yourselves to him, all you* gods.

²⁹ For they will be ashamed of the oaks which you* have desired and you* will be confounded for the gardens that you* have chosen.

¹¹ Behold, all his fellows will be put to shame and the workmen. They are of men. Let them all be gathered together. Let them stand up. They will fear. They will be put to shame together.

¹⁷ And the residue of it he makes a god, even his graven image. He falls down to it and worships and prays to it and says, Deliver me, for you are my god.

¹⁶ They will be put to shame, yes, confounded, all of them. They will go into confusion together who are makers of idols. ¹⁷ But Israel will be saved by Jehovah with an everlasting salvation. You* will not be put to shame nor confounded world without end.

²⁶ As the thief is shamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel shamed, they, their kings, their rulers and their priests and their prophets, ²⁷ who say to a block of wood, You are my father and to a stone, You have brought me forth. For they have turned their back to me and not their face.
But in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise and save us.

¹⁸ What profits the graven image, that the maker of it has engraved it, the molten image, even the teacher of lies, that he who fashions its form trusts in it, to make dumb idols?
¹⁹ Woe to him who says to the wood, Awake! To the dumb stone, Arise! Shall this teach? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.
²⁰ But Jehovah is in his holy temple. Let all the earth keep silence before him.

¹¹ And Jehovah said to him, Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes a man dumb, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, Jehovah?

¹² The hearing ear and the seeing eye, Jehovah has made even both of them.

⁸ Bring forth the blind people who have eyes and the deaf who have ears.

³⁴ and looking up to heaven, he groaned and says to him, Ephphatha. (That is, Be opened.) ³⁵ And immediately his ears were opened, and the bond of his tongue was loosed, and he was speaking correctly. ³⁶ And he ordered them in order that they should tell no one, but as many things as he was ordering them not to tell, rather, they were preaching it even-more.
³⁷ And they were being abundantly astounded, saying, He has done all things well; he makes even the deaf to hear, and the mute to speak.

²² And Jesus answered and said to them, When you have traveled back, report to John the things which you have seen and heard; that the blind recover their sight, the lame are walking, the lepers are cleansed and the mute hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the good-news proclaimed to them.

¹⁷ Because you say, I am rich and have enriched ourselves and have need of nothing, and do not know that you are the miserable and the pitiful and are poor and blind and naked. ¹⁸ I am counseling together with you to buy gold from me, having been refined out of fire, in order that you may be enriched, and in order that you should dress yourself with white garments and in order that the shame of your nakedness should not be manifested to all, and in order that you may anoint your eyes with eye-salve, in order that you may see.

⁹ And he said, Go and tell this people, Hear indeed, but do not understand and see you* indeed, but do not perceive.

⁹ Abide and wonder, take your* pleasure and be blind. They are drunken, but not with wine. They stagger, but not with strong drink. ¹⁰ For Jehovah has poured out upon you* the spirit of deep sleep and has closed your* eyes. The prophets and your* heads, the seers, he has covered.
¹¹ And all vision has become to you* as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to a man who is learned, saying, Read this, I beseech you. And he says, I cannot, for it is sealed. ¹² And the book is delivered to him who is not learned, saying, Read this, I beseech you. And he says, I am not learned.
¹³ And the Lord said, Inasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but have removed their heart far from me, but in vain they worship me, teaching the commandments and doctrines of men.
¹⁴ Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder. I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and the understanding of their prudent men will be hidden.

²⁶ who confirms the word of his servant and performs the counsel of his messengers, who says of Jerusalem, She will be inhabited and of the cities of Judah, They will be built and I will raise up the waste places of it,

¹⁰ His watchmen are blind. They are all without knowledge. They are all mute dogs. They cannot bark, dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber.

²² For my people are foolish. They do not know me.
They are foolish sons and they have no understanding. They are wise to do evil, but they have no knowledge to do good.

²¹ Hear now this, O foolish people and without understanding, who have eyes and do not see, who have ears and do not hear:

² Son of man, you dwell in the midst of the rebellious house, that have eyes to see and do not see, that have ears to hear and do not hear, for they are a rebellious house.

¹⁴ And the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled in them, which says, ‘In hearing you will hear and may never understand, and seeing you will see and may never know; ¹⁵ for the heart of this people has become-callous and they have selectively heard with the ears and they have closed their eyes; lest they should see with their eyes and should hear with their ears and should understand with their heart and should turn again and I will be healing them.’

¹⁴ Leave them! They are blind guides of the blind. Now if the blind guide the blind, both will be falling into a ditch.
¹⁵ Now Peter answered and said to him, Explain to us the parable.
¹⁶ Now Jesus said, Are you also without understanding at this point?

¹⁶ Woe to you, you blind guides, that say, Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing, but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obligated. ¹⁷ You are foolish and blind; for which is greater, the gold, or the temple that makes the gold holy? ¹⁸ And, Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing, but whoever swears by the gift which is upon it, he is obligated. ¹⁹ You^\'b0 are foolish and blind; for which is greater, the gift, or the altar that makes the gift holy? ²⁰ Therefore, he who swears by the altar swears by it, and by all things upon it. ²¹ And he who swears by the temple, swears by it, and in the one who has dwelt in it. ²² And he who has sworn by the heaven, swears by the throne of God, and in the one who is sitting upon it.
²³ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and yet have left behind the weighty things of the law: justice and mercy and faith. You ought to do these, and not to have left behind those other things. ²⁴ You blind guides, who strain out the gnat and swallow the camel!

¹⁷ And Jesus knew it and says to them, Why are you reasoning so, because you have no bread? Do you still not perceive, nor understand? Do you still have your heart hardened? ¹⁸ Having eyes, do you not see? Having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember?

⁴⁷ Therefore the Pharisees answered them, You have not also been misled, have you? ⁴⁸ Not anyone from the rulers or from the Pharisees believed in him, have they? ⁴⁹ But this crowd who does not know the law are cursed.

⁴¹ Jesus said to them, If you were blind, you would have no sin, but now you say, We see, therefore your sin remains.

⁴⁰ ‘He has blinded their eyes and he has hardened their heart; in order that they should not see with their eyes and should perceive with their heart and should turn and that I might heal them.’

¹⁷ Behold, you who are named a Jew and rest upon the law and boast in God, ¹⁸ and know God’s will and approve the things which carry more-value, being instructed out of the law, ¹⁹ and have confidence that you yourself are a guide of the blind, a light of those who are in darkness, ²⁰ a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of infants, having in the law the form of knowledge and of the truth.
²¹ Therefore you who are teaching a different one, are you not teaching yourself? You who are preaching not to steal, are you stealing? ²² You who are saying to not commit adultery, are you committing adultery? You who detest idols, are you a temple looter? ²³ You who are boasting in the law, through your transgression of the law, are you dishonoring God?

⁷ Therefore what? What Israel is seeking after, it did not obtain this, but the chosen obtained it and the rest were hardened; ⁸ just-as it has been written, ‘God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes in order that they should not see and ears in order that they should not hear, until this very day.’ ⁹ And David says, ‘Let their table become for a snare and for a trap and for an offense and for a repayment to them. ¹⁰ Let their eyes be darkened not to see and may you always bow down their backs.’

²⁵ For brethren, I do not wish you to be ignorant of this mystery (that you may not be too prudent with yourselves), that a hardening has become partially to Israel, till the fullness of the Gentiles should enter;

¹⁴ But their minds were hardened; for till today, the same veil remains upon the public-reading of the old covenant, not being unveiled, something which is being done-away in Christ. ¹⁵ But until this day, when Moses is read, a veil is laying upon their heart.

⁴ in whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the illumination of the good-news of the glory of the Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn for them.

²² because all those men who have seen my glory and my signs, which I worked in Egypt and in the wilderness, yet have challenged me these ten times and have not listened to my voice,

⁹ Only take heed to yourself and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes saw and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life, but make them known to your sons and your son's sons–

² And Moses called to all Israel and said to them, You* have seen all that Jehovah did before your* eyes in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh and to all his servants and to all his land, ³ the great trials which your eyes saw, the signs and those great wonders, ⁴ yet Jehovah has not given you* a heart to know and eyes to see and ears to hear, to this day.

¹⁰ and showed signs and wonders upon Pharaoh and on all his servants and on all the people of his land, for you knew that they dealt proudly against them and got you a name, as it is this day. ¹¹ And you divided the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land. And you cast their pursuers into the depths as a stone into the mighty waters. ¹² Moreover in a pillar of cloud you led them by day and in a pillar of fire by night, to give them light in the way in which they should go.
¹³ You also came down upon Mount Sinai and spoke with them from heaven and gave them right ordinances and true laws, good statutes and commandments, ¹⁴ and made known to them your holy Sabbath and commanded them commandments and statutes and a law, by Moses your servant.
¹⁵ And you gave them bread from heaven for their hunger and brought out water for them out of the rock for their thirst and commanded them that they should go in to possess the land which you had sworn to give them.
¹⁶ But they and our fathers dealt proudly and stiffened their neck and did not listen to your commandments, ¹⁷ and refused to obey, neither were mindful of your wonders that you did among them, but stiffened their neck. And in their rebellion they appointed a captain to return to their bondage. But you are a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abundant in loving kindness and did not forsake them.

⁷ Our fathers did not understand your wonders in Egypt. They did not remember the multitude of your loving kindnesses, but were rebellious at the sea, even at the Red Sea.
⁸ Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.
⁹ He also rebuked the Red Sea and it was dried up. So he led them through the depths as through a wilderness. ¹⁰ And he saved them from the hand of him who hated them and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
¹¹ And the waters covered their adversaries; there was not one of them left. ¹² Then they believed his words. They sang his praise.
¹³ They soon forgot his works. They did not wait for his counsel,

⁴³ He who is wise will give heed to these things and they will consider the loving kindnesses of Jehovah.

³ The ox knows his owner and the donkey his master's crib, but Israel does not know; my people does not consider.

⁶ You have heard it, behold all this and you*, will you* not declare it? I have shown you new things from this time, even hidden things, which you have not known. ⁷ They are created now and not from of old. And you have not heard them before this day, lest you should say, Behold, I knew them. ⁸ Yes, you heard not. Yes, you did not know. Yes, from of old your ear was not opened. For I knew that you dealt very treacherously and were called a transgressor from the womb.

² Yet they seek me daily and delight to know my ways. As a nation that did righteousness and forsook not the ordinance of their God, they ask of me righteous judgments; they delight to draw near to God.

¹⁰ To whom shall I speak and testify, that they may hear? Behold, their ear is uncircumcised and they cannot listen. Behold, the word of Jehovah has become a reproach to them; they have no delight in it.

² and said to Jeremiah the prophet, Please let our supplication be presented before you and pray for us to Jehovah your God, even for all this remnant, for we are left but a few of many, as your eyes do behold us, ³ that Jehovah your God may show us the way in which we should walk and the thing that we should do.
⁴ Then Jeremiah the prophet said to them, I have heard you*. Behold, I will pray to Jehovah your* God according to your* words and it will happen that whatever thing Jehovah will answer you*, I will declare it to you*. I will keep nothing back from you*.
⁵ Then they said to Jeremiah, Jehovah be a true and faithful witness among us, if we do not according to all the word with which Jehovah your God will send you to us.

³¹ And they come to you as the people come and they sit before you as my people. And they hear your words, but do not do them. For with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goes after their gain.

¹⁹ But Herodias was holding it against him. And she was willing to kill him and was not able; ²⁰ for Herod feared John, knowing him to be a righteous and holy man, and was protecting him. And having heard him, he was doing many things, and was gladly hearing him, often.

³⁷ Now Jesus said to him, You have both seen him and he who speaks with you is that man.
³⁸ But he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshiped him.
³⁹ And Jesus said, I came into this world for judgment, in order that those who do not see, may see, and those who see, may become blind.
⁴⁰ And those who were with him from the Pharisees heard these things and said to him, We are not also blind, are we?

³⁷ But some out of them said, Was this one, who opened the eyes of the blind man, not able to do something in order that this one might not have even died?
³⁸ Therefore Jesus again, sighing in himself, comes to the tomb. Now it was a cave and a stone was laying upon it. ³⁹ Jesus says, Lift up the stone.
Martha, the sister to the one who has died, says to him, Lord, already the body stinks from decay; for it is four days old.
⁴⁰ Jesus says to her, Did I not say to you, that, if you believed, you will be seeing the glory of God? ⁴¹ So they lifted the stone where the one who died was laying. Now Jesus lifted his eyes upward and said, Father, I am giving-thanks to you because you heard me. ⁴² And I knew that you always hear me, but because of the crowd who is standing around I said it, in order that they may believe that you sent me. ⁴³ And having said these things, he cried-out with a loud voice, Lazarus, come-here! Come outside! ⁴⁴ And he came out, the one who had died, having been bound hand and foot with burial wrappings, and his vision had been bound around with a handkerchief. Jesus says to them, Loose him and allow him to go away.
⁴⁵ Therefore many out of the Jews, who came to Mary and saw what Jesus did, believed in him. ⁴⁶ But some out of them went away to the Pharisees and told them the things which Jesus had done.

⁴⁷ Therefore, the high-priests and the Pharisees gathered together a council and were saying, What are we doing because this man is doing many signs? ⁴⁸ If we allow him to continue so; all will believe in him. And the Romans will be coming and taking away both our place and the nation.
⁴⁹ But a certain one out of them, Caiaphas, being the high-priest of that year, said to them, You know nothing, ⁵⁰ nor are you reasoning that it is advantageous for us that one man should die on behalf of the people and that the whole nation should not perish.

²² But we deem it worthy to hear from you what things you are mindful of; for indeed, concerning this sect, it is known to us that it is spoken against everywhere.
²³ Now having appointed him a day, they were coming to him, into the lodging in great number; to whom he was expounding the word, thoroughly testifying of the kingdom of God also persuading them with the things concerning Jesus, both from the Law of Moses and from the prophets, from morning until dusk. ²⁴ And some were obeying and some were disbelieving the things which were spoken. ²⁵ But when they disagreed among themselves, they were dismissing themselves after Paul had spoken just one declaration, The Holy Spirit spoke well through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers, ²⁶ saying, ‘Travel to this people and say, In hearing you will hear and yet may never understand, and seeing you will see and yet may never see; ²⁷ for the heart of this people has become-callous and they have selectively heard with the ir ears and they have closed their eyes. Lest, they should see with the ir eyes and should hear with the ir ears and should understand with the ir heart and should return and I will be healing them.’

²¹ Therefore you who are teaching a different one, are you not teaching yourself? You who are preaching not to steal, are you stealing?

⁸ I delight to do your will, O my God. Yes, your law is within my heart.

¹⁶ I will come with the mighty acts of the lord Jehovah. I will make mention of your righteousness, yours only!

¹⁹ Your righteousness also, O God, is very high, you who have done great things. O God, who is like you?

⁹ Surely his salvation is near those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.
¹⁰ Mercy and truth are met together. Righteousness and peace have kissed each other. ¹¹ Truth springs out of the earth and righteousness has looked down from heaven.
¹² Yes, Jehovah will give what is good and our land will yield its increase.

²⁴ Therefore says the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of my adversaries and avenge me of my enemies. ²⁵ And I will turn my hand upon you and thoroughly purge away your dross and will take away all your tin. ²⁶ And I will restore your judges as at the first and your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you will be called the city of righteousness, a faithful town.
²⁷ Zion will be redeemed with justice and her converts with righteousness.

¹² Listen to me, you* stout-hearted, who are far from righteousness: ¹³ I bring near my righteousness. It will not be far off. And my salvation will not abide and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.

²⁴ Seventy weeks are decreed upon your people and upon your holy city, to finish transgression and to make an end of sins and to make reconciliation for iniquity and to bring in everlasting righteousness and to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy.
²⁵ Know therefore and discern, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem to the anointed one, the Prince, will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It will be built again, with street and moat, even in troublesome times.
²⁶ And after the sixty-two weeks the anointed one will be cut off and will have nothing. And the people of the prince who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary and the end of it will be with a flood. And even to the end will be war; desolations are determined. ²⁷ And he will make a firm covenant with many for one week. And in the midst of the week he will cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. And upon the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate. And even to the full end and that determined, wrath will be poured out upon the desolate.

¹⁵ But Jesus answered and said to him, Allow it now; for thus it is suitable for us to fulfill every righteousness. Then he allows him.

¹⁷ and behold, a voice came out of the heavens, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am delighted.

¹⁷ Do not suppose that I came to tear-down the law or the prophets; I did not come to tear-down, but to fulfill. ¹⁸ For assuredly I am saying to you, Until heaven and earth should pass away, one iota or one serif may never pass away from the law, until all things should become fulfilled.
¹⁹ Therefore, whoever loosens one of these least commandments and may teach men to do so, will be called least in the kingdom of the heavens, but whoever practices and should teach them, he will be called great in the kingdom of the heavens. ²⁰ For I am saying to you, that if your righteousness is not abounding more-than that of the scribes and Pharisees, you may never enter into the kingdom of the heavens.

²⁹ And he who sent me is with me; the Father has not left me alone, because I am always doing those things pleasing to him.

³¹ Therefore, when he went out, Jesus says, Now the Son of Man was glorified and God was glorified in him; ³² If God was glorified in him, God will also be glorifying him in himself and immediately he will be glorifying him.

¹⁰ If you keep my commandments, you will be abiding in my love; just-as I have kept my Father’s commandments and am abiding in his love.

³¹ Therefore, do we do-away-with the law through the faith? Let it not happen! But through the faith, we are establishing the law.

¹² So-that the law indeed is holy and the commandment holy and righteous and good.

³ For the law being powerless, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, having sent his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and concerning sin, condemned sin in the flesh; ⁴ in order that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, those who are not walking according to the flesh, but walking according to the Spirit.

⁴ For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

¹⁹ as that, God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ not counting to them their trespasses and having placed the word of reconciliation in us. ²⁰ Therefore, we are ambassadors on behalf of Christ; as though God is encouraging you through us. We are beseeching you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. ²¹ For the one who knew no sin, he was made the sin offering on our behalf; in order that we might become the righteousness of God in him.

¹³ Christ bought us up out of the curse of the law, having become a curse on our behalf; for it has been written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs upon a tree,’

²¹ Therefore is the law against the promises of God? Let it not happen! For if a law was given which is able to give-life, righteousness really would have been from the law.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, ²³ meekness and self-control. There is no law against such.

⁹ and may be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, which is from the law, but which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is from God on the faith,

¹⁰ Because this one is the covenant which I will covenant with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord. I will be giving my laws into their mind and I will be writing them upon their hearts. And I will be a God to them and they will be covenanted into a people for me;

⁴ Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. ⁵ And you know that, that man was manifested in order that he might take away our sins, and in him is no sin.

²⁹ and you will grope at noonday, as the blind man gropes in darkness. And you will not prosper in your ways. And you will only be oppressed and robbed always and there will be none to save you.
³⁰ You will betroth a wife and another man will lie with her. You will build a house and you will not dwell in it. You will plant a vineyard and will not use the fruit of it. ³¹ Your ox will be slain before your eyes and you will not eat of it. Your donkey will be violently taken away from before your face and will not be restored to you. Your sheep will be given to your enemies and you will have none to save you. ³² Your sons and your daughters will be given to another people. And your eyes will look and fail with longing for them all the day and there will be nothing in the power of your hand. ³³ The fruit of your ground and all your labors, will a nation eat up which you do not know. And you will only be oppressed and crushed always,

²² Now consider this, you* who forget God, lest I tear you* in pieces and there is none to deliver:

²⁰ to hear the sighing of the prisoner, to loose those who are appointed to death,

⁷ Your* country is desolate. Your* cities are burned with fire. Your* land–strangers devour it in your* presence and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.

¹⁷ who made the world as a wilderness and overthrew the cities of it, who did not let loose his prisoners to their home?

² that sends ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of papyrus upon the waters, saying, You* go swift messengers, to a nation tall and smooth, to a people fearful from their beginning onward, a nation mighty and trampled down, whose land the rivers divide!

¹⁸ And it will happen, that he who flees from the noise of the fear will fall into the pit and he who comes up out of the midst of the pit will be taken in the snare. For the windows on high are opened and the foundations of the earth tremble.

²² And they will be gathered together as prisoners are gathered in the pit and will be shut up in the prison. And after many days they will be visited.

¹ Now it happened in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah, that Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the fortified cities of Judah and took them.

⁷ to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon and those who sit in darkness out of the prison-house.

²³ And I will put it into the hand of those who afflict you, who have said to your soul, Bow down, that we may go over and you have laid your back as the ground and as the street, to those who go over.

⁴ For thus says the lord Jehovah, My people went down at the first into Egypt to journey there. And the Assyrian has oppressed them without cause.
⁵ Now therefore, what do I do here, says Jehovah, seeing that my people are taken away for nothing? Those who rule over them howl, says Jehovah. And because of you* my name is continually blasphemed among the Gentiles.

⁹ All you* beasts of the field, come to devour, yes, all you* beasts in the forest.

¹⁷ Israel is a hunted sheep, the lions have driven him away. First, the king of Assyria devoured him and now at last Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has broken his bones.

³⁴ Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon has devoured me. He has crushed me. He has made me an empty vessel. He has, like a monster, swallowed me up. He has filled his stomach with my delicacies. He has cast me out. ³⁵ The violence done to me and to my flesh be upon Babylon, the inhabitant of Zion will say. And, My blood be upon the inhabitants of Chaldea, Jerusalem will say.

⁴ And it happened in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army against Jerusalem and encamped against it. And they built forts against it all around. ⁵ So the city was besieged to the eleventh year of king Zedekiah. ⁶ In the fourth month, in the ninth day of the month, the famine was severe in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.
⁷ Then a breach was made in the city and all the men of war fled and went forth out of the city by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king's garden, (now the Chaldeans were against the city all around) and they went toward the Arabah. ⁸ But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho and all his army was scattered from him.
⁹ Then they took the king and carried him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath and he gave judgment upon him. ¹⁰ And the king of Babylon killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes. He also killed all the rulers of Judah in Riblah. ¹¹ And he put out the eyes of Zedekiah. And the king of Babylon bound him in fetters and carried him to Babylon and put him in prison till the day of his death.

³¹ And it happened in the thirty-seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the twenty-fifth day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon, in the first year of his reign, lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah and brought him forth out of prison.

⁴¹ And as he drew near, he saw the city and wept over it, ⁴² saying, If you had known in this day, even you, for-sure, the things which are for your peace! But now they were hidden from your eyes. ⁴³ Because the days will be coming upon you, and your enemies will put a military-barrier around you and will surround you, and will crowd you on every-side, ⁴⁴ and will be leveling you to the bedrock, and your children among you, and they will not be leaving in you one stone upon another stone, because you did not know the time of your visitation.

²⁰ But whenever you behold Jerusalem surrounded by encamped armies, then know that her desolation has drawn near. ²¹ Then those who are in Judea, let them flee to the mountains, and those who are in the midst of her, let them vacate, and those who are in the region, do not let them enter in it. ²² Because these are days of vengeance, that all things which have been written may be fulfilled. ²³ But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing in those days! For a great calamity will be upon the land, and wrath among this people. ²⁴ And they will be falling by the edge of the sword and will be captured into all the nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles should be fulfilled.

⁴⁰ And they will confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass which they trespassed against me and also that, because they walked contrary to me, ⁴¹ I also walked contrary to them and brought them into the land of their enemies. If then their uncircumcised heart be humbled and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity, ⁴² then I will remember my covenant with Jacob and also my covenant with Isaac and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember and I will remember the land.

²⁹ But from there you* will seek Jehovah your God. And you will find him when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. ³⁰ When you are in tribulation and all these things have come upon you, in the latter days you will return to Jehovah your God and listen to his voice. ³¹ For Jehovah your God is a merciful God. He will not fail you, neither destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which he swore to them.

²⁹ Oh that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!

²² How long, you* simple ones, will you* love simplicity? And scoffers delight in their scoffing and fools hate knowledge? ²³ Turn back at my reproof. Behold, I will pour out my spirit upon you*. I will make my words known to you*.

¹⁸ Come now and let us reason together, says Jehovah, though your* sins be as scarlet, they will be as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they will be as wool.
¹⁹ If you* are willing and obedient, you* will eat the good of the land. ²⁰ But if you* refuse and rebel, you* will be devoured with the sword, for the mouth of Jehovah has spoken it.

¹⁸ Oh that you had listened to my commandments! Then your peace would have been as a river and your righteousness as the waves of the sea.

⁴ Will you not from this time cry to me, My Father, you are the guide of my youth? ⁵ Will he retain his anger everlasting? Will he keep it to the end? Behold, you have spoken and have done evil things and have had your way.
⁶ Moreover Jehovah said to me in the days of Josiah the king, Have you seen what backsliding Israel has done? She has gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree and there has played the prostitute. ⁷ And I said after she had done all these things, She will return to me, but she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it.

¹³ Only acknowledge your iniquity, that you have transgressed against Jehovah your God and have scattered your ways to the strangers under every green tree and you* have not obeyed my voice, says Jehovah.

⁹ The voice of Jehovah cries to the city and the man of wisdom will see your name. Hear the rod and who has appointed it.

²⁸ But what do you think? A man had two children, and he came to the first and said, Child, go work today in my vineyard.
²⁹ But he answered and said, I am not willing, but later he regretted it and went.
³⁰ And he came to the second and said likewise. But he answered and said, I will go lord, and did not go. ³¹ Which one out of the two did the will of his father?
They say, The first.
Jesus says to them, Assuredly I am saying to you, that the tax collectors and the prostitutes will precede you into the kingdom of God.

¹⁹ Therefore, repent and turn again, that your sins may be wiped-away, that seasons of refreshment may come from the presence of the Lord;

²² Moses indeed said to the fathers, The Lord our God will rise up for you a prophet from among your brethren, like me. You will listen to him according to all things, as many things as he may speak to you. ²³ And it will be, that every soul if it does not listen to that prophet, will be utterly destroyed from among the people.

² that you should no longer have your life, (the rest of your time in the flesh), in the lusts of men, but in the will of God. ³ For enough time which has passed away from our life is for us to have worked the will of the Gentiles, and having conducted-ourselves in: unbridled-lusts, lusts, drunkenness, revelings, drinking-bouts and illegal idolatries;

⁴⁹ Jehovah will bring a nation against you from far, from the end of the earth, as the eagle flies, a nation whose tongue you will not understand,

³⁰ How should one chase a thousand and two put ten thousand to flight unless their Rock had sold them and Jehovah had delivered them up?

¹⁴ And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that despoiled them. And he sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.

⁸ Therefore the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel and he sold them into the hand of Cushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia, And the sons of Israel served Cushan-rishathaim eight years.

⁷ And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel and he sold them into the hand of the Philistines and into the hand of the sons of Ammon.

⁶ And they were broken in pieces, nation against nation and city against city. For God distressed them with all adversity.

¹⁷ Therefore he brought upon them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary and had no compassion upon young man or virgin, old man or hoary-headed. He gave them all into his hand.

²⁶ Nevertheless they were disobedient and rebelled against you and cast your law behind their back and killed your prophets who testified against them to turn them again to you and they worked great provocations.
²⁷ Therefore you delivered them into the hand of their adversaries, who distressed them. And in the time of their trouble, when they cried to you, you heard from heaven and according to your great mercies you gave them saviors who saved them out of the hand of their adversaries.

⁴⁰ Therefore the wrath of Jehovah was kindled against his people and he detested his inheritance. ⁴¹ And he gave them into the hand of the nations. And those who hated them, ruled over them. ⁴² Their enemies also oppressed them and they were brought into subjection under their hand.

⁵ Ho, Assyrian, the rod of my anger, the staff in whose hand is my indignation! ⁶ I will send him against a profane nation and against the people of my wrath. I will give him a charge, to take the spoil and to take the prey and to tread them down like the mud of the streets.

¹⁵ For thus said the lord Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, You* will be saved in returning and rest. Your* strength will be in quietness and in confidence. And you* would not,

⁷ I form the light and create darkness. I make peace and create evil. I am Jehovah who does all these things.

⁶ I was angry with my people. I profaned my inheritance and gave them into your hand. You showed them no mercy. you have laid your yoke very heavily upon the aged.

¹ Jehovah says thus, Where is the document of your* mother's divorcement, with which I have put her away? Or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you*? Behold, for your* iniquities you* were sold and for your* transgressions your* mother was put away.
² Why, when I came, was there no man? When I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? Or have I no power to deliver? Behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea. I make the rivers a wilderness. Their fish stink because there is no water and die for thirst.

¹ Behold, Jehovah's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, nor his ear heavy, that it cannot hear. ² But your* iniquities have separated between you* and your* God and your* sins have hid his face from you* so that he will not hear.

¹⁰ But they rebelled and grieved his holy Spirit. Therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and himself fought against them.

¹⁵ Behold, I will bring a nation upon you* from far, O house of Israel, says Jehovah. It is a mighty nation. It is an nation of old, a nation whose language you do not know, nor understand what they say.

⁸ Therefore Jehovah of hosts says thus: Because you* have not heard my words, ⁹ behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, says Jehovah and Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant and will bring them against this land and against the inhabitants of it and against all these nations all around. And I will utterly destroy them and make them an astonishment and a hissing and everlasting desolations.

¹⁴ The yoke of my transgressions is bound by his hand. They are knit together. They have come up upon my neck. He has made my strength to fail. The Lord has delivered me into their hands, against whom I am not able to stand.

¹⁸ Jehovah is righteous, for I have rebelled against his commandment. Hear, I beseech you*, all you* peoples and behold my sorrow. My virgins and my young men have gone into captivity.

⁶ Shall the trumpet be blown in a city and the people not be afraid? Shall evil befall a city and Jehovah has not done it?

⁷ And that king, having heard it, was angry, and he having sent his armies, destroyed those murderers and incinerated their city.

¹⁵ and if you* will reject my statutes and if your* soul abhors my ordinances, so that you* will not do all my commandments, but break my covenant, ¹⁶ I also will do this to you*: I will appoint terror over you*, even consumption and fever, that will consume the eyes and make the soul to pine away. And you* will sow your* seed in vain, for your* enemies will eat it. ¹⁷ And I will set my face against you* and you* will be struck before your* enemies. Those who hate you* will rule over you* and you* will flee when no man pursues you*.
¹⁸ And if for these things you* will not yet listen to me, then I will discipline you* seven times more for your* sins. ¹⁹ And I will break the pride of your* power. And I will make your* sky as iron and your* earth as brass, ²⁰ and your* strength will be spent in vain, for your* land will not yield its increase, nor will the trees of the land yield their fruit.
²¹ And if you* walk contrary to me and will not listen to me, I will bring seven times more plagues upon you* according to your* sins. ²² And I will send the beast of the field among you*, which will rob you* of your* sons and destroy your* cattle and make you* few in number and your* ways will become desolate.
²³ And if by these things you* will not be reformed to me, but will walk contrary to me, ²⁴ then I also will walk contrary to you* and I will kill* you*, even I, seven times for your* sins. ²⁵ And I will bring a sword upon you* that will execute the vengeance of the covenant and you* will be gathered together within your* cities. And I will send the pestilence among you* and you* will be delivered into the hand of the enemy. ²⁶ When I break your* staff of bread, ten women will bake your* bread in one oven and they will deliver your* bread again by weight and you* will eat and not be satisfied.
²⁷ And if for all this you* will not listen to me, but walk contrary to me, ²⁸ then I will walk contrary to you* in wrath and I also will discipline you* seven times for your* sins. ²⁹ And you* will eat the flesh of your* sons and the flesh of your* daughters you* will eat. ³⁰ And I will destroy your* high places and cut down your* sun-images and cast your* dead bodies upon the bodies of your* idols and my soul will abhor you*. ³¹ And I will make your* cities a waste and will bring your* sanctuaries to desolation and I will not smell the savor of your* sweet odors. ³² And I will bring the land into desolation and your* enemies who dwell in it will be astonished at it.
³³ And I will scatter you* among the nations and I will draw out the sword after you* and your* land will be a desolation and your* cities will be a waste. ³⁴ Then the land will enjoy its Sabbaths, as long as it lies desolate and you* are in your* enemies' land, even then will the land rest and enjoy its Sabbaths. ³⁵ As long as it lies desolate it will have rest, even the rest which it had not in your* Sabbaths, when you* dwelt upon it.
³⁶ And as for those who are left of you*, I will send a faintness into their heart in the lands of their enemies. And the sound of a driven leaf will chase them and they will flee as a man flees from the sword and they will fall when no man pursues. ³⁷ And they will stumble one upon another, as it were before the sword, when no man pursues. And you* will have no power to stand before your* enemies. ³⁸ And you* will perish among the nations and the land of your* enemies will eat you* up. ³⁹ And those who are left of you* will pine away in their iniquity in your* enemies' lands and also in the iniquities of their fathers they will pine away with them.

And they will accept of the punishment of their iniquity, because, even because they rejected my ordinances and their soul loathed my statutes.
⁴⁴ And yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly and to break my covenant with them, for I am Jehovah their God, ⁴⁵ but for their sakes I will remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God. I am Jehovah.
⁴⁶ These are the statutes and ordinances and laws, which Jehovah made between him and the sons of Israel at Mount Sinai by Moses.

²² For a fire is kindled in my anger and burns to the lowest Sheol and devours the earth with its increase and sets on fire the foundations of the mountains.

⁹ And he burnt the house of Jehovah and the king's house. And all the houses of Jerusalem, even every great house, he burnt with fire.

⁵ How long, O Jehovah? Will you be angry forever? Shall your jealousy burn like fire?
⁶ Pour out your wrath upon the nations that do not know you and upon the kingdoms that do not call upon your name.

¹³ Yet the people have not turned to him who killed* them, nor have they sought Jehovah of hosts.

¹³ And the Lord said, Inasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but have removed their heart far from me, but in vain they worship me, teaching the commandments and doctrines of men.

⁷ And you said, I will be a mistress everlasting, so that you did not lay these things to your heart, nor remembered the latter end of it.

¹ The righteous man perishes and no man lays it to heart. And merciful men are taken away; none considering that the righteous man is taken away from the evil.

¹¹ And of whom have you been afraid and in fear, that you lie and have not remembered me, nor laid it to your heart? Have I not held my peace even of long time and you do not fear me?

³ O Jehovah, do not your eyes look upon truth? You have stricken them, but they were not grieved. You have consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction. They have made their faces harder than a rock. They have refused to return.

⁸ Now I will shortly pour out my wrath upon you and accomplish my anger against you and will judge you according to your ways. And I will bring upon you all your abominations. ⁹ And my eye will not spare, nor will I have pity. I will bring upon you according to your ways. And your abominations will be in the midst of you.
And you* will know that I, Jehovah, do kill*.

³⁴ And I will bring you* out from the peoples and will gather you* out of the countries in which you* are scattered, with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm and with wrath poured out,

²¹ Yes, I will gather you* and blow upon you* with the fire of my wrath and you* will be melted in the midst of it.
²² As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so you* will be melted in the midst of it. And you* will know that I, Jehovah, have poured out my wrath upon you*.

⁹ Strangers have devoured his strength and he does not know. Yes, gray hairs are here and there upon him and he does not know.

⁶ Who can stand before his indignation? And who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? His wrath is poured out like fire and the rocks are broken apart by him.

² If you* will not hear and if you* will not lay it to heart, to give glory to my name, says Jehovah of hosts, then I will send the curse upon you* and I will curse your* blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already, because you* do not lay it to heart.

¹⁸ From these three wounds, the third of men was killed from the fire and the smoke and the brimstone, which traveled out of their mouths. ¹⁹ For the authority of the horses is in their mouth and in their tails; for their tails are similar of serpents and they have heads, and they hurt men with them. ²⁰ And the rest of mankind, who were not killed with these wounds, did not repent of the works of their hands, in order that they should not worship the demons and the golden and silver and the brass and the stone and the wooden idols; which are not able to see, nor hear, nor walk. ²¹ And they did not repent of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their stealing.

¹ And I heard a loud voice out of the temple, saying to the seven messengers, Go and pour out the seven bowls of the fury of God into the earth.
² And the first went and poured out his bowl into the earth, and it became an evil sore and wicked upon the men who had the mark of the beast and who are worshiping his image.
³ And the second poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood like that of the dead, and every living soul died in the sea.
⁴ And the third messenger poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of the waters, and it became blood. ⁵ And I heard the messenger of the waters saying, You are righteous, who is and who was, the Holy One, because you judged these things; ⁶ because they poured out the blood of holy-ones and prophets and you gave blood to them to drink because they are worthy. ⁷ And I heard from the altar saying, Yes, O Lord God, the Almighty, your judgments are true and righteous.
⁸ And the fourth messenger poured out his bowl upon the sun, and it was given to it to burn men in fire. ⁹ And men were burnt with great heat and the men blasphemed the name of God who has the authority over these wounds, and they did not repent to give him glory.
¹⁰ And the fifth messenger poured out his bowl upon the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became darkened, and they were gnawing their tongues out of pain, ¹¹ and they blasphemed the God of heaven out of their pains and out of their sores, and they did not repent from their works.
¹² And the sixth poured out his bowl upon the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, in order that the way of the kings who come from the rising of the sun might be prepared. ¹³ And I saw out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs; ¹⁴ for they are spirits of demons, doing signs; which travel out to the kings of the whole inhabited-earth, to gather them together to the war of that great day of God the Almighty. ¹⁵ (Behold, I am coming like a thief. The fortunate one is watching and keeping his garments, in order that he may not walk naked and in order that they may see his indecency.) ¹⁶ And they gathered them together into the place which in Hebrew is called Har-Magedon.
¹⁷ And the seventh poured out his bowl upon the air, and there came forth a loud voice from the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It has happened. ¹⁸ And there became lightnings and thunders and voices, and there became a great earthquake, such-as has not happened from which time men were born upon the earth, so-great an earthquake–so great! ¹⁹ And the great city became divided into three parts and the cities of the nations fell and Babylon the great was remembered in God’s sight, to give to her the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath. ²⁰ And every island fled away and the mountains were not found. ²¹ And great hail, approximately a talant’s poundage,
comes down from heaven upon men and men blasphemed God from the wound of the hail, because its wound is extremely great.
