3 Neither let the foreigner, who has joined himself to Jehovah, speak, saying, Jehovah will surely separate me from his people, nor let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
4 For Jehovah says thus of the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths and choose the things that please me and hold fast my covenant: 5 To them I will give in my house and within my walls a memorial and a name better than of sons and of daughters. I will give them an everlasting name, that will not be cut off.
6 Also the foreigners who join themselves to Jehovah, to minister to him and to love the name of Jehovah, to be his servants, everyone who keeps the Sabbath from profaning it and holds fast my covenant, 7 even them I will bring to my holy mountain and make them joyful in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted upon my altar, for my house will be called a house of prayer for all peoples. 8 The lord Jehovah, who gathers the outcasts of Israel, says, Yet I will gather to him, besides his own who are gathered.

5 For if you* thoroughly amend your* ways and your* practices, if you* thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbor, 6 if you* do not oppress the traveler, the fatherless and the widow and shed not innocent blood in this place, nor walk after other gods to your* own hurt, 7 then I will cause you* to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your* fathers from of old to everlasting.

Make*\'b0 his paths straight. 5 Every valley will be filled and every mountain and hill will be humbled. And the crooked will become straight and the rough ways, smooth. 6 And all flesh will be seeing the salvation of God.’
7 Therefore, he was saying to the crowds who traveled out to be immersed by him, Offspring of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the future wrath? 8 Therefore produce fruits worthy of repentance and do not begin to say among yourselves, We have Abraham as our father; for I say to you, that God is able to lift up children to Abraham from these stones. 9 Now the ax is also already destined toward the root of the trees. And he is likely to die in the place where he is because of the famine, for there is no more bread in the city.
10 Then the king commanded Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, saying, Take from here thirty men with you and take up Jeremiah the prophet out of the pit before he dies.
11 So Ebed-melech took the men with him and went into the house of the king under the treasury and took from there rags and worn-out garments and let them down by cords into the pit to Jeremiah. 12 And Ebed-melech the Ethiopian said to Jeremiah, Now put these rags and worn-out garments under your armpits under the cords. And that he should teach them the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans.
5 And the king appointed for them a daily portion of the king's food and of the wine which he drank. And that they should be nourished three years, that at the end of it they should stand before the king.
6 Now among these were, of the sons of Judah: Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah. 7 And the ruler of the eunuchs gave names to them. To Daniel he gave the name of Belteshazzar and to Hananiah, of Shadrach and to Mishael, of Meshach and to Azariah, of Abed-nego.
8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the king's food, nor with the wine which he drank. Therefore he requested of the ruler of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
9 Now God made Daniel find kindness and compassion in the sight of the ruler of the eunuchs. 10 And the ruler of the eunuchs said to Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who has appointed your* food and your* drink. For why should he see your* faces worse looking than the youths that are of your* own age? So you* would endanger my head with the king.
11 Then Daniel said to the steward whom the ruler of the eunuchs had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, 12 I beseech you, test your servants ten days and let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink. 13 Then let our countenances be looked upon before you and the countenance of the youths that eat of the king's food. And as you see, deal with your servants.
14 So he listened to them in this matter and tested them ten days. 15 And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared finer and they were fuller in flesh, than all the youths who ate of the king's dainties. 16 So the steward took away their food and the wine that they should drink and gave them vegetables.
17 Now as for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom. And Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams. 18 And at the end of the days which the king had appointed for bringing them in, the ruler of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.
19 And the king spoke with them. And among them all none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah. Therefore they stood before the king. 20 And in every matter of wisdom and understanding, concerning which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters who were in all his realm. 21 And Daniel continued even to the first year of king Cyrus.

18 He says to him, What ones?
Now Jesus said, Do not murder; Do not commit adultery; Do not steal; Do not falsely testify, 19 Honor your father and mother.
20 The young-man says to him, I have observed all these things from my youth. So what am I still lacking?
21 Jesus said to him, If you are willing to be complete, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven and come-here. Follow me. 22 But when the young-man heard the word, he went away and was sorrowing; for he had many properties.
23 Now Jesus said to his disciples, Assuredly I am saying to you, A rich man will hardly enter into the kingdom of the heavens. 24 But again I am saying to you, It is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
25 Now when his disciples heard it, they were being extremely astounded, saying, Who then is able to be saved?
26 But Jesus, looked at them and said to them, This is impossible with men, but all things are possible with God.
27 Then Peter answered and said to him, Behold, we have left all and followed you; what then will be left for us?
28 But Jesus said to them, Assuredly I am saying to you, that you who have followed me, whenever the Son of Man sits upon the throne of his glory in the regeneration, you will also sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And everyone who has left houses or brethren or sisters, or their father or mother or wife, or children or fields, because of my name, will be receiving a hundred-times that, and will be inheriting everlasting life. 30 But many will be last who are first, and first who are last.

Acts 8:26-40

26 But a messenger of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, Stand up and travel toward the midday sun to the road which is going down from Jerusalem to Gaza. This is a desolate road. 27 And he stood up and traveled away.
And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch, (a sovereign under Candace, the queen of Ethiopia, who was in charge over all her treasure), who had come to Jerusalem to worship, 28 and who was returning and sitting in his chariot and was reading the prophet Isaiah. 29 Now the Spirit said to Philip, Go near and join yourself to this chariot.

30 Now Philip having ran up to him, heard him reading Isaiah the prophet and said, Do you know then what you are reading?
31 But he said, For how am I able, if someone does not guide me? And he pleaded with Philip to come up and sit together with him. 32 Now the passage of the Scripture which he was reading was this: ‘He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and like a lamb in front of the one who is shearing him is voiceless, thus he does not open his mouth. 33 His judgment was taken away in his humbleness. But who will be describing his generation? Because his life is taken from the earth.’ 34 But Philip answered and said to the eunuch, I am beseeching you, concerning whom is the prophet speaking about in this? Is he speaking concerning himself or concerning some other person?
35 Now Philip opened his mouth and beginning from this Scripture, proclaimed the good-news of Jesus to him. 36 Now as they were traveling down the road, they came to a some water, and the eunuch says, Behold, here is water; what is preventing me from being immersed? \super{T} 37 Now Philip said, If you believe from all your heart, it is permitted.
But he answered and said I believe Jesus Christ to be the Son of God. 38 Now he commanded the chariot to stand still and they both went down into the water, both Philip and the eunuch, and he immersed him. 39 Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord seized Philip away, and the eunuch saw him no more, for he was traveling on his way rejoicing.
