¹ Then Bildad the Shuhite answered and said, ² Dominion and fear are with him. He makes peace in his high places. ³ Is there any number of his armies? And upon whom does his light not arise? ⁴ How then can man be just with God? Or how can he be clean who is born of a woman? ⁵ Behold, even the moon has no brightness. And the stars are not pure in his sight. ⁶ How much less man, who is a worm! And the son of man, who is a worm!

¹¹ Yours, O Jehovah, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and on the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Jehovah and you are exalted as head above all. ¹² Both riches and honor come of you and you rule over all. And in your hand is power and might. And in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all.

² Of a truth I know that it is so. But how can man be just with God? ³ If he is pleased to contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand.
⁴ He is wise in heart and mighty in strength. Who has hardened himself against him and prospered?
⁵ He who removes the mountains and they do not know it when he overturns them in his anger, ⁶ who shakes the earth out of its place and the pillars of it tremble, ⁷ who commands the sun and it does not rise and seals up the stars, ⁸ who alone stretches out the heavens and treads upon the waves of the sea, ⁹ who makes the Bear, Orion and the Pleiades and the chambers of the south, ¹⁰ who does great things past finding out, yes, marvelous things without number.

⁵ Those who are deceased tremble beneath the waters and the inhabitants of it. ⁶ Sheol is naked before God and Abaddon has no covering. ⁷ He stretches out the north over empty space and hangs the earth upon nothing.
⁸ He binds up the waters in his thick clouds and the cloud is not burst under them. ⁹ He encloses the face of his throne and spreads his cloud upon it. ¹⁰ He has described a boundary upon the face of the waters, to the confines of light and darkness. ¹¹ The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his rebuke. ¹² He stirs up the sea with his power and by his understanding he slays through Rahab. ¹³ By his Spirit the heavens are garnished. His hand has pierced the swift serpent.
¹⁴ Behold, these are but the end of his ways. And how small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?

⁹ Or have you an arm like God? And can you thunder with a voice like him? ¹⁰ Deck yourself now with excellency and dignity and array yourself with honor and majesty. ¹¹ Pour forth the overflowing of your anger and look upon everyone who is proud and humble him.
¹² Look on everyone who is proud, and bring him low and tread down the wicked where they stand. ¹³ Hide them in the dust together. Bind their faces in the hidden place. ¹⁴ Then I will also confess of you that your own right hand can save you.

¹ Jehovah reigns! Let the peoples tremble. He sits above the cherubim, let the earth be moved. ² Jehovah is great in Zion and he is high above all the peoples.
³ Let them praise your great and awesome name. Holy is he.

¹⁵ For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, also with him who is of a crushed and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the crushed.

¹⁹ I create the fruit of the lips. Peace, peace, to him who is far off and to him who is near, says Jehovah and I will heal him.

⁶ There is none like you, O Jehovah. You are great and your name is great in might. ⁷ Who should not fear you, O King of the nations? For to you it is befitting, inasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations and in all their royal estate, there is none like you.

³⁴ And at the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes to heaven and my understanding returned to me. And I blessed the Most High and I praised and honored he who lives forever. For his dominion is an everlasting dominion and his kingdom from generation to generation. ³⁵ And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing and he does according to his will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth. And none can stay his hand, or say to him, What are you doing?
³⁶ At the same time my understanding returned to me and for the glory of my kingdom, my majesty and brightness returned to me and my counselors and my lords sought to me. And I was established in my kingdom and excellent greatness was added to me.
³⁷ Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are truth and his ways justice. And he is able to humble those who walk in pride.

⁹ The peacemakers are fortunate, because they will be called sons of God.

¹³ And do not bring us into temptation, but rescue us from the evil one, because yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

¹⁸ And Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to me in heaven and upon earth.

¹⁸ But all things are from God, who reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ and gave the service of reconciliation to us; ¹⁹ as that, God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ not counting to them their trespasses and having placed the word of reconciliation in us. ²⁰ Therefore, we are ambassadors on behalf of Christ; as though God is encouraging you through us. We are beseeching you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. ²¹ For the one who knew no sin, he was made the sin offering on our behalf; in order that we might become the righteousness of God in him.

²⁰ which he worked in the Christ, having raised him up from the dead and seated him by his right hand in the heavenly places, ²¹ up above all rule and authority and power and lordship and every name that is being named, not only in this age, but also in the future age. \ulnone\nosupersub

¹⁶ and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, having killed the hostility in himself. ¹⁷ And when he came, he proclaimed the good-news of peace to you who were from afar and peace to those who were near;

²⁰ and through him to reconcile all things to himself, whether things upon the earth or things upon the heavens, having made peace through the blood of his cross, through him.

²⁵ to the only wise God our Savior, is the glory and majesty, dominion and authority, both now and forever. Amen.

¹⁶ and they say to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall upon us and hide us from the face of the one who is sitting upon the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb;

³ And God said, Let there be light and there was light. ⁴ And God saw the light, that it was good. And God divided the light from the darkness. ⁵ And God called the light Day and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.

¹⁴ And God said, Let there be lights in the expanse of heaven to divide the day from the night and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years. ¹⁵ And let them be for lights in the expanse of heaven to give light upon the earth. And it was so.
¹⁶ And God made the two great lights, the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night and also the stars.

¹² Have you commanded the morning since your days began, and caused the dayspring to know its place ¹³ that it might take hold of the ends of the earth and the wicked be shaken out of it?

⁴ Their line has gone out through all the earth and their words to the end of the world. He has set a tabernacle for the sun in them, ⁵ which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber and rejoices as a strong man to run his course.
⁶ His going forth is from the end of the heavens and his circuit to the ends of it and there is nothing hid from the heat of it.

²⁰ Praise Jehovah, you* his messengers, who are mighty in strength, who fulfill his word, listening to the voice of his word.
²¹ Praise Jehovah, all you* his hosts, you* ministers of his, who do his pleasure.

² Praise him, all his messengers. Praise him, all his host. ³ Praise him, sun and moon. Praise him, all you* stars of light. ⁴ Praise him, you* heavens of heavens and you* waters that are above the heavens.

²⁶ Lift up your* eyes on high and see who has created these, who brings out their host by number. He calls them all by name, by the greatness of his might. And because he is strong in power, not one is lacking.

¹⁰ A fiery stream was streaming and came out from before him. Thousands of thousands ministered to him and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him. The judgment was set and the books were opened.

⁴⁵ Do this that you may become sons of your Father who is in the heavens, because his sun rises upon the evil and the good and it rains upon the righteous and the unrighteous.

⁵³ Or do you think that I am not able now to plead with my Father and he will not stand beside me with more than twelve legions of messengers?

⁴ In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

⁹ He was the true light coming into the world, the light which illuminates every man.

¹⁷ Every good act of giving, and every complete gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change, nor a shadow of turning.

¹¹ And I saw and I heard a voice like that of many messengers in circle of the throne and the living creatures and the elders, tens of thousands of tens of thousands;

¹⁷ Shall mortal man be more just than God? Shall a man be more pure than his maker? ¹⁸ Behold, he puts no trust in his servants and he charges his messengers with error.
¹⁹ How much more those who dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, who are crushed before the moth!

² Of a truth I know that it is so. But how can man be just with God?

³ And do you open your eyes upon such a one and bring me into judgment with you? ⁴ Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? Not one.

¹⁴ What is man, that he should be clean? And he who is born of a woman, that he should be righteous? ¹⁵ Behold, he puts no trust in his holy ones. Yes, the heavens are not clean in his sight. ¹⁶ How much less one who is abominable and morally-corrupt, a man who drinks unrighteousness like water!

⁵ Behold, I was brought out in iniquity and my mother conceived me in sin.

³ If you, Jehovah, should note iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?

² And do not enter into judgment with your servant. Because in your sight no man living is righteous.

¹ In that day there will be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness.

¹⁹ Now we know how-much, as many things as the law says, it is speaking to those in the law; in order that every mouth may be sealed and all the world may become under the sentence of God; ²⁰ because no flesh will be made righteous in his sight from the works of the law; for through the law comes the full knowledge of sin.

¹ Therefore having been made righteous from faith, we have peace toward God through our Lord Jesus Christ;

¹¹ And some of you were these, but you were fully-washed, but you were made holy, but you were made righteous in the name of the Lord Jesus and in the Spirit of our God.

³ among whom we also all conducted ourselves previously in the lusts of our flesh, practicing the wills of the flesh and of the mind and we were children of wrath by nature, even as the rest.

⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

⁵ and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To the one who loves us and washed us away from our sins in his blood;

¹⁵ Behold, he puts no trust in his holy ones. Yes, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

²⁶ if I have beheld the sun when it shone, or the moon walking in brightness,

²³ Then the moon will be confounded and the sun ashamed, for Jehovah of hosts will reign in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem. And glory will be before his elders.

¹⁹ The sun will no more be your light by day, nor for brightness will the moon give light to you, but Jehovah will be to you an everlasting light and your God your glory. ²⁰ Your sun will no more go down, nor will your moon withdraw itself, for Jehovah will be your everlasting light. And the days of your mourning will be ended.

¹⁰ For even what has also been glorified, has not been glorified in this respect, because of the glory which surpasses it.

²⁷ And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken it upon me to speak to the Lord, who am I but dust and ashes.

¹⁹ How much more those who dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, who are crushed before the moth!

¹⁷ What is man, that you should magnify him and that you should set your mind upon him,

⁶ But I am a worm and no man, a reproach of men and despised by the people.

¹⁴ Do not fear, you worm Jacob and you* men of Israel. I will help you, says Jehovah and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.
