²³ Be glad then, you* sons of Zion and rejoice in Jehovah your* God, for he gives you* the former rain in just measure and he causes the rain to come down for you*, the former rain and the latter rain, in the first month.

⁴ then I will give your* rains in their season and the land will yield its increase and the trees of the field will yield their fruit.

¹⁴ that I will give the rain of your* land in its season, the former rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain and your new wine and your oil.

¹² Jehovah will open to you his good treasure the heavens, to give the rain of your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hand. And you will lend to many nations and you will not borrow.

² My doctrine will drop as the rain. My speech will flow as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender grass and as the showers upon the herb.

²³ If there is with him a messenger, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to show to man what is right for him,

⁷ Jehovah is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices and with my song I will praise him.

¹¹ Be glad in Jehovah and rejoice, you*, righteous ones. And shout for joy, all you* who are upright in heart.

⁶ He will come down like rain upon the mowed grass, as showers that water the earth. ⁷ In his days righteousness will flourish and abundance of peace, till the moon is no more.

¹ O come, let us sing to Jehovah. Let us shout to the rock of our salvation. ² Let us come before his presence with thanks-giving. Let us shout to him with songs.
³ Because Jehovah is a great God and a great King above all gods.

³⁴ Let your meditation be sweet to him. I will rejoice in Jehovah.

² Let Israel rejoice in him who made him. Let the sons of Zion be joyful in their King.

¹⁵ Life is in the light of the king's countenance and his favor is as a cloud of the latter rain.

² Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust and will not be afraid, for Jehovah, even Jehovah, is my strength and song and he has become my salvation. ³ Therefore with joy you* will draw water out of the wells of salvation.
⁴ And you* will say in that day, Give thanks to Jehovah. Call upon his name. Declare his practices among the peoples. Make mention that his name is exalted. ⁵ Sing to Jehovah, for he has done excellent things. Let this be known in all the earth. ⁶ Cry aloud and shout, you inhabitant of Zion, for great in the midst of you is the Holy One of Israel.

²¹ And your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way, walk you* in it when you* turn to the right hand and when you* turn to the left.

²³ And he will give the rain for your seed, with which you will sow the ground and bread of the increase of the ground and it will be fat and plenteous. In that day your cattle will feed in large pastures.

¹⁶ You will winnow them and the wind will carry them away and the whirlwind will scatter them. And you will rejoice in Jehovah. You will glory in the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁰ I will greatly rejoice in Jehovah. My soul will be joyful in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation. He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

³ Therefore the showers have been withheld and there has been no latter rain. Yet you have a prostitute's forehead; you refused to be ashamed.

²⁴ Neither do they say in their heart, Let us now fear Jehovah our God, who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season, who preserves to us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

² The precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, how they are esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter!

³ And let us know, let us follow on to know Jehovah. His going forth is sure as the morning and he will come to us as the rain, as the latter rain that waters the earth.

²⁸ And it will happen afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh and your* sons and your* daughters will prophesy. Your* old men will dream dreams. Your* young men will see visions. ²⁹ And also I will pour out my Spirit upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days.

⁷ And I also have withheld the rain from you*, when there were yet three months to the harvest. And I caused it to rain upon one city and caused it not to rain upon another city. One piece was rained upon and the piece upon which it did not rain withered.

¹⁷ For though the fig tree will not flourish, nor will fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive will fail and the fields will yield no food; the flock will be cut off from the fold and there will be no herd in the stalls; ¹⁸ yet I will rejoice in Jehovah. I will joy in the God of my salvation.

¹⁴ Sing, O daughter of Zion. Shout, O Israel. Be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem. ¹⁵ Jehovah has taken away your judgments. He has cast out your enemy. The King of Israel, even Jehovah, is in the midst of you. You will not fear evil any more.
¹⁶ In that day it will be said to Jerusalem, Do not fear, O Zion. Do not let your hands be slack. ¹⁷ Jehovah your God is in the midst of you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will rest in his love. He will joy over you with singing.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion. Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem. Behold, your king comes to you. He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding upon a donkey, even upon a colt the foal of a donkey.

¹³ For I have bent Judah for me. I have filled the bow with Ephraim. And I will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece and will make you as the sword of a mighty man.

¹ Ask you* of Jehovah rain in the time of the latter rain, even of Jehovah who makes lightnings and he will give them showers of rain, to everyone grass in the field.

⁷ And Ephraim will be like a mighty man and their heart will rejoice as through wine. Yes, their sons will see it and rejoice. Their heart will be glad in Jehovah.

⁴⁶ And Mary said, My soul extols the Lord, ⁴⁷ and my spirit was glad in God my Savior.

²⁶ But the Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of all of us. ²⁷ For it has been written, ‘Barren one who is not bearing children, be joyous; burst forth and cry, the one who are not travailing, because many more are the children of the desolate rather than from her who has the husband.’

⁸ Hence he says, ‘When he ascended onto high, he captured captivity and gave presents to men.’ ⁹ Now this saying, He ascended, (what is it saying?) except that he also came down into the downward parts of the earth first? ¹⁰ He who came down is also the same as he who ascended up above all the heavens, in order that he might fill all things.
¹¹ And he gave some to be : the apostles, and the prophets, and the evangelists, and the shepherds and teachers

¹ Furthermore, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. Indeed, it is not tedious for me to write the same things to you, but a secure thing for you.

³ For we are the circumcision, who are giving-divine service in the spirit of God, and boast in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh;

⁴ Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, Rejoice.

⁷ Therefore brethren, have patience until the presence of the Lord. Behold, the farmer is waiting for the precious fruit of the earth, having patience over it, until it should receive the morning and evening rainfall. ⁸ You also, have patience; establish your hearts, because the presence of the Lord has drawn near.
