¹ And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, ² Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, When a man will accomplish a vow, the persons will be for Jehovah by your estimation. ³ And your estimation will be of the male from twenty years old even to sixty years old, even your estimation will be fifty shekels of silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary. ⁴ And if it is a female, then your estimation will be thirty shekels. ⁵ And if it is from five years old even to twenty years old, then your estimation will be of the male twenty shekels and for the female ten shekels. ⁶ And if it is from a month old even to five years old, then your estimation will be of the male five shekels of silver and for the female your estimation will be three shekels of silver. ⁷ And if it is from sixty years old and upward, if it is a male, then your estimation will be fifteen shekels and for the female ten shekels. ⁸ But if he is poorer than your estimation, then he will be set before the priest and the priest will value him; according to the ability of him who vowed will the priest value him.
⁹ And if it is a beast, of which men offer an oblation to Jehovah, all that any man gives of such to Jehovah will be holy. ¹⁰ He will not alter it, nor change it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good. And if he will at all change beast for beast, then both it and that for which it is changed will be holy. ¹¹ And if it is any unclean beast, of which they do not offer an oblation to Jehovah, then he will set the beast before the priest, ¹² and the priest will value it, whether it is good or bad. As you the priest values it, so will it be. ¹³ But if he will indeed redeem it, then he will add the fifth part of it to your estimation.
¹⁴ And when a man will sanctify his house to be holy to Jehovah, then the priest will estimate it, whether it is good or bad. As the priest will estimate it, so will it stand. ¹⁵ And if he who made it holy will redeem his house, then he will add the fifth part of the money of your estimation to it and it will be his.
¹⁶ And if a man will sanctify to Jehovah part of the field of his possession, then your estimation will be according to the sowing of it, the sowing of a homer of barley at fifty shekels of silver. ¹⁷ If he sanctifies his field from the year of jubilee, according to your estimation it will stand. ¹⁸ But if he sanctifies his field after the jubilee, then the priest will reckon to him the money according to the years that remain to the year of jubilee and an abatement will be made from your estimation.
¹⁹ And if he who made the field holy will indeed redeem it, then he will add the fifth part of the money of your estimation to it and it will be assured to him. ²⁰ And if he will not redeem the field, or if he has sold the field to another man, it will not be redeemed any more, ²¹ but the field, when it goes out in the jubilee, will be holy to Jehovah, as a field set apart; the possession of it will be the priest's.
²² And if he sanctifies to Jehovah a field which he has bought, which is not of the field of his possession, ²³ then the priest will reckon to him the worth of your estimation to the year of jubilee and he will give your estimation in that day, as a holy thing to Jehovah. ²⁴ In the year of jubilee the field will return to him of whom it was bought, even to him to whom the possession of the land belongs.
²⁵ And all your estimations will be according to the shekel of the sanctuary; twenty gerahs will be the shekel.
²⁶ Only the first-offspring among beasts, which is made a first-offspring to Jehovah, no man will sanctify it, whether it is ox or sheep, it is Jehovah's. ²⁷ And if it is of an unclean beast, then he will ransom it according to your estimation and will add to it the fifth part of it, or if it is not redeemed, then it will be sold according to your estimation.
²⁸ Notwithstanding, nothing set apart, that a man will set apart to Jehovah of all that he has, whether of man or beast, or of the field of his possession, will be sold or redeemed; everything set apart is most holy to Jehovah. ²⁹ No one set apart, who will be set apart from among men, will be ransomed; he will surely be put to death.
³⁰ And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is Jehovah's; it is holy to Jehovah. ³¹ And if a man will redeem any of his tithe, he will add to it the fifth part of it. ³² And all the tithe of the herd or the flock, whatever passes under the rod, the tenth will be holy to Jehovah. ³³ He will not search whether it is good or bad, neither will he change it. And if he changes it at all, then both it and that for which it is changed will be holy; it will not be redeemed.
³⁴ These are the commandments, which Jehovah commanded Moses for the sons of Israel at Mount Sinai.

²⁰ And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me and will keep me in this way that I go and will give me bread to eat and garments to put on, ²¹ so that I come again to my father's house in peace and Jehovah will be my God, ²² then this stone, which I have set up as a pillar, will be God's house. And of all that you will give me I will surely give the tenth to you.

² Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, When either man or woman will make a special vow, the vow of a Nazirite, to separate himself to Jehovah,

² And Israel vowed a vow to Jehovah and said, If you will indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.

³ Also when a woman vows a vow to Jehovah and binds herself by a bond, being in her father's house, in her youth,

²¹ When you will vow a vow to Jehovah your God, you will not be slack to pay it. For Jehovah your God will surely require it of you and it would be sin in you. ²² But if you will forbear to vow, it will be no sin in you. ²³ What has gone out of your lips you will observe and do, just-as you have vowed to Jehovah your God, a free-will offering, which you have promised with your mouth.

³⁰ And Jephthah vowed a vow to Jehovah and said, If you will indeed deliver the sons of Ammon into my hand, ³¹ then it will be, that whatever comes forth from the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the sons of Ammon, it will be Jehovah's and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.

³⁹ And it happened at the end of two months, that she returned to her father, who did with her according to his vow which he had vowed and she knew no man. And it was a custom in Israel,

¹¹ And she vowed a vow and said, O Jehovah of hosts, if you will indeed look on the affliction of your handmaid and remember me and not forget your handmaid, but will give to your handmaid a male-child, then I will give him to Jehovah all the days of his life and there will no razor come upon his head.

²⁸ Therefore also I have granted him to Jehovah; as long as he lives he is granted to Jehovah. And he worshiped Jehovah there.

⁴ When you vow a vow to God, defer not to pay it, because he has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you vow. ⁵ It is better that you should not vow, than that you should vow and not pay.

¹³ This they will give, everyone who passes over to those who are numbered: half a shekel according to the shekel of the sanctuary, (the shekel is twenty gerahs,) half a shekel for an offering to Jehovah.

¹⁵ If a soul commits a trespass and sins unwittingly in the holy things of Jehovah, then he will bring his trespass offering to Jehovah, a ram without blemish out of the flock, according to your estimation in silver by shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass offering.

⁶ And he will bring his trespass offering to Jehovah, a ram without blemish out of the flock, according to your estimation, for a trespass offering, to the priest.

¹⁴ And when a man will sanctify his house to be holy to Jehovah, then the priest will estimate it, whether it is good or bad. As the priest will estimate it, so will it stand.

²⁵ And all your estimations will be according to the shekel of the sanctuary; twenty gerahs will be the shekel.

⁴⁷ you will take five shekels apiece by the poll. According to the shekel of the sanctuary you will take them (the shekel is twenty gerahs),

¹⁶ And those that are to be redeemed of them from a month old will you redeem, according to your estimation, for the money of five shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary (what is twenty gerahs).

⁴ And Joash said to the priests, All the money of the holy things that is brought into the house of Jehovah, in current money, the money of the persons for whom each man is rated and all the money that it comes into any man's heart to bring into the house of Jehovah,

¹² And I said to them, If you* think good, give me my wage and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my wage thirty pieces of silver. ¹³ And Jehovah said to me, Cast it to the potter, the good price that I was valued by them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver and cast them to the potter in the house of Jehovah.

¹⁵ and said, What are you willing to give me and I will be giving him to you? Now they weighed out thirty pieces of silver for him.

⁹ Then what was spoken through the prophet was fulfilled, saying, ‘And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of the one who has been priced, whom some of the sons of Israel priced for themselves; ¹⁰ and they gave them for the potter’s field, just-as the Lord commanded me.’

⁴⁰ And Jehovah said to Moses, Number all the firstborn males of the sons of Israel from a month old and upward and take the number of their names. ⁴¹ And you will take the Levites for me (I am Jehovah) instead of all the firstborn among the sons of Israel and the cattle of the Levites instead of all the first-offspring among the cattle of the sons of Israel. ⁴² And Moses numbered, as Jehovah commanded him, all the firstborn among the sons of Israel. ⁴³ And all the firstborn males according to the number of names, from a month old and upward, of those who were numbered of them, were twenty-two thousand two hundred and seventy-three.

¹⁴ Everything devoted in Israel will be your.
¹⁵ Everything that opens the womb, of all flesh which they offer to Jehovah, both of man and beast will be your. Nevertheless the firstborn of man you will surely redeem and the first-offspring of unclean beasts you will redeem. ¹⁶ And those that are to be redeemed of them from a month old will you redeem, according to your estimation, for the money of five shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary (what is twenty gerahs).

¹⁰ The days of our years are threescore years and ten, or even by reason of strength eighty years, yet their pride is but labor and sorrow, because it is soon gone and we fly away.

⁷ And if his means is not sufficient for a lamb, then he will bring his trespass offering for that by which he has sinned, two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, to Jehovah, one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering.

¹¹ But if his means is not sufficient for two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, then he will bring his oblation for that by which he has sinned, the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering. He will put no oil upon it, nor will he put any frankincense on it, for it is a sin offering.

⁸ And if her means are not sufficient for a lamb, then she will take two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, the one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering. And the priest will make atonement for her and she will be clean.

²¹ And if he is poor and cannot get so much, then he will take one male-lamb for a trespass offering to be waved, to make atonement for him and one tenth part of an ephah of fine flour mingled with oil for a meal offering and a log of oil, ²² and two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, such as he is able to get and the one will be a sin offering and the other a burnt offering.

⁷ How can I pardon you? Your sons have forsaken me and sworn by those who are no gods. When I had fed them to the full, they committed adultery and assembled themselves in troops at the prostitutes' houses.

⁷ For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you wish, you are able to do them good, but you do not always have me.

¹ Now he looked up and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. ² But he also saw a certain poor widow casting two bronze-coins in there. ³ And he said, Truly I say to you, This poor widow cast in more-than they all. ⁴ For all these cast into the gifts of God out of what is abounding to them, but she cast in out of her lacking, all the livelihood that she had.

¹² For if the eagerness lays before you, according to whatever someone has, it is acceptable, not according to what he does not have.

¹⁵ And if he who made it holy will redeem his house, then he will add the fifth part of the money of your estimation to it and it will be his.
¹⁶ And if a man will sanctify to Jehovah part of the field of his possession, then your estimation will be according to the sowing of it, the sowing of a homer of barley at fifty shekels of silver. ¹⁷ If he sanctifies his field from the year of jubilee, according to your estimation it will stand. ¹⁸ But if he sanctifies his field after the jubilee, then the priest will reckon to him the money according to the years that remain to the year of jubilee and an abatement will be made from your estimation.

⁸ an indecisive man is restless in all his ways.

¹⁸ You will not bring the hire of a prostitute, or the wages of a dog, into the house of Jehovah your God for any vow, for even both these are an abomination to Jehovah your God.

¹⁴ But cursed be the deceiver, who has in his flock a male and vows and sacrifices to the Lord a blemished thing. For I am a great King, says Jehovah of hosts and my name is feared among the Gentiles.

¹⁶ And he will make restitution for what he has sinned in the holy thing and will add the fifth part to it and give it to the priest. And the priest will make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering and he will be forgiven.

⁴ then it will be, if he has sinned and is guilty, that he will restore what he took by robbery, or the thing which he has gotten by oppression, or the deposit which was committed to him, or the lost thing which he found, ⁵ or anything about which he has sworn falsely, he will even restore it in full and will add the fifth part more to it. He will give it to him to whom it pertains, in the day of his being found guilty.

¹⁴ And if a man eats of the holy thing unwittingly, then he will put the fifth part of it to it and will give the holy thing to the priest.

¹⁰ He will not alter it, nor change it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good. And if he will at all change beast for beast, then both it and that for which it is changed will be holy.

¹⁵ And if he who made it holy will redeem his house, then he will add the fifth part of the money of your estimation to it and it will be his.

¹⁹ And if he who made the field holy will indeed redeem it, then he will add the fifth part of the money of your estimation to it and it will be assured to him.

²⁹ And if a man sells a dwelling-house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold. For a full year he will have the right of redemption. ³⁰ And if it is not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city will be made sure in perpetuity to him who bought it, throughout his genealogy. It will not go out in the jubilee. ³¹ But the houses of the villages which have no wall all around them will be reckoned with the fields of the country. They may be redeemed and they will go out in the jubilee.

²¹ but the field, when it goes out in the jubilee, will be holy to Jehovah, as a field set apart; the possession of it will be the priest's.

¹⁴ Everything devoted in Israel will be your.

² I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when will you come to me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
³ I will set no wicked speech before my eyes. I hate the work of those who turn aside. It will not cleave to me. ⁴ A perverse heart will depart from me. I will know no evil thing.
⁵ He who slanders his neighbor secretly, I will destroy him. He who has a high look and a proud heart I will not endure.
⁶ My eyes will be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me. He who walks in a perfect way, he will minister to me.
⁷ He who works deceit will not dwell within my house. He who speaks falsehood will not be established before my eyes.

¹³ But if he will indeed redeem it, then he will add the fifth part of it to your estimation.

¹⁰ For ten acres of vineyard will yield one 9-gallon container and a homer of seed will yield but an ephah.

¹¹ The ephah and the 9-gallon container will be of one measure, that the 9-gallon container may contain the tenth part of a homer and the ephah the tenth part of a homer. The measure of it will be according to the homer. ¹² And the shekel will be twenty gerahs. Twenty shekels, twenty-five shekels, fifteen shekels, will be your* maneh.
¹³ This is the oblation that you* will offer: The sixth part of an ephah from a homer of wheat and you* will give the sixth part of an ephah from a homer of barley, ¹⁴ and the set portion of oil, of the 9-gallon container of oil, the tenth part of a 9-gallon container out of the cor, which is ten baths, even a homer, (for ten baths are a homer),

² So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver and a homer of barley and a half-homer of barley.

³⁴ For neither anyone among them was needy. For as many as were owners of parcels of ground or houses, were selling them and were bringing the prices of the things which were sold, ³⁵ and were laying them beside the apostles’feet and were being distributed to each, insomuch as anyone was having a need.
³⁶ Now Joses, who was surnamed Barnabas from the apostles, (which is, being translated, Son of Encouragement), a Levite from Cyprus by birth, ³⁷ sold a field, possessed by him, and brought the monies and laid it beside the apostles’feet.

⁴ When it remained unsold, was it not remaining yours? And when it was sold, was it not still in your authority? Why did you purpose this matter in your heart? You have not lied to men, but to God.

¹⁵ According to the number of years after the jubilee you will buy of your neighbor and according to the number of years of the crops he will sell to you. ¹⁶ According to the multitude of the years you will increase the price of it and according to the fewness of the years you will diminish the price of it, for the number of the crops he sells to you.

²⁷ then let him reckon the years of the sale of it and restore the excess to the man to whom he sold it and he will return to his possession.

⁵¹ If there is yet many years, according to them he will give back the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for. ⁵² And if there remain but few years to the year of jubilee, then he will reckon with him. He will give back the price of his redemption according to his years.

¹⁰ And you* will sanctify the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all the inhabitants of it. It will be a jubilee to you* and you* will return every man to his possession and you* will return every man to his family.

²⁸ But if he is not able to get it back for himself, then what he has sold will remain in the hand of him who has bought it until the year of jubilee. And in the jubilee it will go out and he will return to his possession.

³¹ But the houses of the villages which have no wall all around them will be reckoned with the fields of the country. They may be redeemed and they will go out in the jubilee.

¹⁷ And nothing of the devoted thing will cling to your hand, that Jehovah may turn from the fierceness of his anger and show you mercy and have compassion upon you and multiply you, as he has sworn to your fathers,

¹⁷ And the city will be set apart, even it and all that is in it, to Jehovah. Only Rahab the prostitute will live, she and all who are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.

⁸ And that whoever did not come within three days, according to the counsel of the rulers and the elders, all his substance should be forfeited and himself separated from the assembly of the captivity.

²⁹ They will eat the meal offering and the sin offering and the trespass offering. And every devoted thing in Israel will be theirs.

²⁵ If your brother becomes poor and sells some of his possession, then his kinsman who is next to him will come and will redeem what his brother has sold.

¹² and the priest will value it, whether it is good or bad. As you the priest values it, so will it be.

¹⁸ But if he sanctifies his field after the jubilee, then the priest will reckon to him the money according to the years that remain to the year of jubilee and an abatement will be made from your estimation.

²⁰ And if he will not redeem the field, or if he has sold the field to another man, it will not be redeemed any more,

³ And your estimation will be of the male from twenty years old even to sixty years old, even your estimation will be fifty shekels of silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary.

¹² And the shekel will be twenty gerahs. Twenty shekels, twenty-five shekels, fifteen shekels, will be your* maneh.

² Sanctify to me all the firstborn, whatever opens the womb among the sons of Israel. Both of man and of beast, it is mine.

¹² that you will set apart to Jehovah all that opens the womb. And every first-offspring which you have that comes of a beast, the males will be Jehovah's. ¹³ And every first-offspring of a donkey you will redeem with a lamb and if you will not redeem it, then you will break its neck. And all the firstborn of man among your sons you will redeem.

³⁰ Likewise you will do with your oxen and with your sheep. Seven days it will be with its dam. On the eighth day you will give it me.

¹⁷ But the first-offspring of an ox, or the first-offspring of a sheep, or the first-offspring of a goat, you will not redeem. They are holy. You will sprinkle their blood upon the altar and will burn their fat for an offering made by fire, for a sweet aroma to Jehovah.

¹⁹ All the first-offspring males that are born of your herd and of your flock you will sanctify to Jehovah your God. You will do no work with the first-offspring of your herd, nor shear the first-offspring of your flock.

¹¹ And if it is any unclean beast, of which they do not offer an oblation to Jehovah, then he will set the beast before the priest,

²⁰ He who sacrifices to any god, except to Jehovah only, will be utterly destroyed.

² And Israel vowed a vow to Jehovah and said, If you will indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities. ³ And Jehovah listened to the voice of Israel and delivered up the Canaanites. And they utterly destroyed them and their cities. And the name of the place was called Hormah.

¹ When Jehovah your God will bring you into the land where you go to possess it and will cast out many nations before you, the Hittite and the Girgashite and the Amorite and the Canaanite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite, seven nations greater and mightier than you, ² and when Jehovah your God will deliver them up before you and you will kill* them, then you will utterly destroy them. You will make no covenant with them, nor show mercy to them.

¹⁵ you will surely kill* the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly and all that is in it and the cattle in it, with the edge of the sword. ¹⁶ And you will gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street of it and will burn the city with fire and all the spoil of it, every whit, to Jehovah your God and it will be a heap everlasting. It will not be built again.

¹⁶ But of the cities of these peoples, that Jehovah your God gives you for an inheritance, you will save alive nothing that breathes, ¹⁷ but you will utterly destroy them–the Hittite and the Amorite, the Canaanite and the Perizzite, the Hivite and the Jebusite–as Jehovah your God has commanded you,

¹⁹ Therefore it will be, when Jehovah your God has given you rest from all your enemies all around, in the land which Jehovah your God gives you for an inheritance to possess it, that you will blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. You will not forget.

¹⁷ And the city will be set apart, even it and all that is in it, to Jehovah. Only Rahab the prostitute will live, she and all who are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.
¹⁸ But as for you*, only keep yourselves from what is set apart, lest when you* have set it apart, you* take from what is set apart. So you* would make the camp of Israel accursed and trouble it. ¹⁹ But all the silver and gold and vessels of brass and iron, are holy to Jehovah. They will come into the treasury of Jehovah.

²⁶ And Joshua charged them with an oath at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before Jehovah who rises up and builds this city Jericho. With the loss of his firstborn he will lay the foundation of it and with the loss of his youngest son he will set up the gates of it.

¹ But the sons of Israel committed a trespass in what was set apart. For Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took from what was set apart and the anger of Jehovah was kindled against the sons of Israel.

¹¹ Israel has sinned. Yes, they have even transgressed my covenant which I commanded them. Yes, they have even taken from what was set apart and have also stolen and also dissembled. And they have even put it among their own stuff.
¹² Therefore the sons of Israel cannot stand before their enemies. They turn their backs before their enemies because they have become accursed. I will not be with you* any more unless you* destroy what was set apart from among you*.
¹³ Up, sanctify the people and say, Sanctify yourselves against tomorrow. For Jehovah says thus, the God of Israel, There is what has been set apart in the midst of you, O Israel. You cannot stand before your enemies until you* take away the devoted thing from among you*.

²⁵ And Joshua said, Why have you troubled us? Jehovah will trouble you this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones and they burned them with fire and stoned them with stones.

⁵ And the sons of Israel said, Who is there among all the tribes of Israel that did not come up in the assembly to Jehovah? For they had made a great oath concerning him who did not come up to Jehovah to Mizpah, saying, He will surely be put to death.

¹¹ And this is the thing that you* will do: You* will utterly destroy every male and every woman that has lain by man.

¹⁸ However we may not give them wives of our daughters, for the sons of Israel had sworn, saying, Cursed be he who gives a wife to Benjamin.

²⁴ And the men of Israel were distressed that day, for Saul had put the people under an oath, saying, Cursed be the man who eats any food until it is evening and I am avenged on my enemies. So none of the people tasted food. ²⁵ And all the people came into the forest and there was honey upon the ground. ²⁶ And when the people came to the forest, behold, the honey dropped, but no man put his hand to his mouth, for the people feared the oath.
²⁷ But Jonathan heard not when his father charged the people with the oath, therefore he put forth the end of the rod that was in his hand and dipped it in the honeycomb and put his hand to his mouth and his eyes were enlightened. ²⁸ Then one of the people answered and said, Your father strictly charged the people with an oath, saying, Cursed be the man who eats food this day and the people were faint.

³⁸ And Saul said, Draw near here, all you* chiefs of the people and know and see how this sin has been this day. ³⁹ For, as Jehovah lives, who saves Israel, though it is in Jonathan my son, he will surely die. But there was not a man among all the people who answered him. ⁴⁰ Then he said to all Israel, Be you* on one side and I and Jonathan my son will be on the other side. And the people said to Saul, Do what seems good to you.
⁴¹ Therefore Saul said to Jehovah, the God of Israel, Show the right. And Jonathan and Saul were taken by lot, but the people escaped. ⁴² And Saul said, Cast lots between me and Jonathan my son. And Jonathan was taken.
⁴³ Then Saul said to Jonathan, Tell me what you have done. And Jonathan told him and said, I did certainly taste a little honey with the end of the rod that was in my hand. And behold, I must die. ⁴⁴ And Saul said, God do so and more also, for you will surely die, Jonathan.
⁴⁵ And the people said to Saul, Shall Jonathan die, who has worked this great salvation in Israel? Far from it. As Jehovah lives, there will not one hair of his head fall to the ground, for he has worked with God this day. So the people rescued Jonathan, that he did not die.

³ Now go and kill* Amalek and utterly destroy all that they have and spare them not, but kill both man and woman, infant and nursing-baby, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.

¹⁸ And Jehovah sent you on a journey and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners, the Amalekites and fight against them until they are consumed.

³² Then Samuel said, Bring here to me Agag the king of the Amalekites. And Agag came to him cheerfully. And Agag said, Surely the bitterness of death is past.
³³ And Samuel said, As your sword has made women childless, so will your mother be childless among women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before Jehovah in Gilgal.

⁴¹ Then he will also say to them at the left, Travel away from me, you those who have been cursed into the everlasting fire which has been prepared for the devil and his messengers:

¹² Now when it became day, some of the Jews made a conspiracy and they vowed for themselves, saying, they were neither to eat nor to drink until they should have killed Paul. ¹³ Now they were more-than forty who had made this gang; ¹⁴ who came to the high-priests and the elders and said, We have vowed to be accursed, to taste nothing until we should have killed Paul.

³ For I was praying for myself to be accursed from the Christ on behalf of my brethren, my relatives according to the flesh,

²² If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. The Lord has come!

¹⁰ For as many as are from the works of the law are under a curse; for it has been written, ‘Cursed is everyone who is not remaining in all things which have been written in the book of the law, and to practice them.’

¹³ Christ bought us up out of the curse of the law, having become a curse on our behalf; for it has been written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs upon a tree,’

¹⁸ And Jehovah sent you on a journey and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners, the Amalekites and fight against them until they are consumed.
¹⁹ Why then did you not obey the voice of Jehovah, but did fly upon the spoil and did what was evil in the sight of Jehovah?
²⁰ And Saul said to Samuel, Yes, I have obeyed the voice of Jehovah and have gone the way which Jehovah sent me and have brought Agag the king of Amalek and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites. ²¹ But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the devoted things, to sacrifice to Jehovah your God in Gilgal.
²² And Samuel said, Has Jehovah as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of Jehovah? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice and to listen than the fat of rams. ²³ For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft and stubbornness is as idolatry and household-idol. Because you have rejected the word of Jehovah, he has also rejected you from being king.

²⁰ And praise God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand. And Abram gave him a tenth of all.

²² then this stone, which I have set up as a pillar, will be God's house. And of all that you will give me I will surely give the tenth to you.

²¹ And to the sons of Levi, behold, I have given all the tithe in Israel for an inheritance, in return for their service which they serve, even the service of the tent of meeting.
²² And hereafter the sons of Israel will not come near the tent of meeting, lest they bear sin and die. ²³ But the Levites will do the service of the tent of meeting and they will bear their iniquity. It will be an everlasting statute throughout your* genealogy. And among the sons of Israel they will have no inheritance.
²⁴ For the tithe of the sons of Israel, which they offer as a heave offering to Jehovah, I have given to the Levites for an inheritance. Therefore I have said to them, Among the sons of Israel they will have no inheritance.

⁵ But to the place which Jehovah your* God will choose out of all your* tribes, to put his name there, even to his habitation you* will seek and there you will come. ⁶ And there you* will bring your* burnt offerings and your* sacrifices and your* tithes and the heave offering of your* hand and your* vows and your* free-will offerings and the first-offspring of your* herd and of your* flock.

²² You will surely tithe all the increase of your seed; what comes forth from the field year by year. ²³ And you will eat before Jehovah your God, in the place which he will choose to cause his name to dwell there, the tithe of your grain, of your new wine and of your oil and the first-offspring of your herd and of your flock, that you may learn to fear Jehovah your God always.

⁵ And as soon as the commandment came abroad, the sons of Israel gave in abundance the first-fruits of grain, new wine and oil and honey and of all the increase of the field. And they brought in the tithe of all things abundantly. ⁶ And the sons of Israel and Judah, who dwelt in the cities of Judah, they also brought in the tithe of oxen and sheep and the tithe of dedicated things which were consecrated to Jehovah their God and laid them by heaps.

¹² And they brought in the oblations and the tithes and the dedicated things faithfully. And Conaniah the Levite was ruler over them and Shimei his brother was second.

³⁷ and that we should bring the first-fruits of our dough and our heave offerings and the fruit of all manner of trees, the new wine and the oil, to the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God and the tithes of our ground to the Levites, for they, the Levites, take the tithes in all the cities of our tillage.
³⁸ And the priest the son of Aaron will be with the Levites when the Levites take tithes. And the Levites will bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure-house.

⁴⁴ And on that day men were appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the heave offerings, for the first-fruits and for the tithes, to gather into them, according to the fields of the cities, the portions appointed by the law for the priests and Levites. For Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites who served.

⁵ had prepared for him a great chamber, where formerly they laid the meal offerings, the frankincense and the vessels and the tithes of the grain, the new wine and the oil, which were given by commandment to the Levites and the singers and the gatekeepers and the heave offerings for the priests.

¹² Then all Judah brought the tithe of the grain and the new wine and the oil to the treasuries.

⁸ Will a man rob God? Yet you* rob me. But you* say, How have we robbed you? In tithes and offerings. ⁹ You* are cursed with the curse, for you* rob me, even this whole nation. ¹⁰ Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house and prove me now with this, says Jehovah of hosts, if I will not open to you* the windows of heaven and pour you* out a blessing, that there will not be room enough for it.

²³ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and yet have left behind the weighty things of the law: justice and mercy and faith. You ought to do these, and not to have left behind those other things.

⁴² But woe to you Pharisees! Because you tithe mint and rue and every herb, and are passing over justice and the love of God. It was essential to have practiced these things and to not leave the other things undone.

¹² I fast twice in the week; I tithe of all things, as many things as I procure.

⁵ And they indeed from the sons of Levi who receive the priest’s office have the commandment to take-tithes from the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, although these have come out of the loins of Abraham. ⁶ But he whose genealogy is not traced from them has taken-tithes of Abraham and has blessed the one who has the promises. ⁷ But without any dispute the inferior is blessed by the better one. ⁸ And men indeed receive tithes who die here, but there, it is testified that he is living. ⁹ And, so as to speak the declaration, even Levi, who receives tithes, has paid-tithes through Abraham;

¹³ In the cities of the hill-country, in the cities of the lowland and in the cities of the South and in the land of Benjamin and in the places around Jerusalem and in the cities of Judah, the flocks will again pass under the hands of him who numbers them, says Jehovah.

³⁷ And I will cause you* to pass under the rod. And I will bring you* into the bond of the covenant.

¹⁴ Feed your people with your rod, the flock of your heritage, which dwell solitarily in the forest in the midst of Carmel. Let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.

⁴⁶ These are the statutes and ordinances and laws, which Jehovah made between him and the sons of Israel at Mount Sinai by Moses.

¹ And Jehovah spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tent of meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they came out of the land of Egypt, saying,

⁵ Behold, I have taught you* statutes and ordinances, even as Jehovah my God commanded me, that you* should do so in the midst of the land where you* go in to possess it.

⁴⁵ These are the testimonies and the statutes and the ordinances, which Moses spoke to the sons of Israel, when they came forth out of Egypt,

¹⁷ Because the law was given through Moses; the favor and the truth became through Jesus Christ.

²⁴ Which things are allegorized; for these women are two covenants; indeed one from Mount Sinai, who is Hagar, giving-birth to children into bondage. ²⁵ For this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the Jerusalem which is now and she is enslaved with her children.

¹⁸ For you have not come to a mountain which has been touched and burned with fire and to blackness and to darkness and to whirlwind, ¹⁹ and to the noise of a trumpet and to the voice of declarations; which voice those who heard renounced, asking the word not to be added to them. ²⁰ For they were not carrying out what was ordered, ‘Even if a beast might touch the mountain, it will be stoned.’ ²¹ And so fearful was the manifestation, that Moses said, ‘I am fearful and trembling. ²² But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, to the heavenly Jerusalem, and to tens of thousands of messengers, ²³ to the festal-gathering and to the congregation of the firstborn ones, who have been registered in the heavens and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous who have been completed, ²⁴ and to Jesus the intermediary of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling which speaks better than that of Abel. ²⁵ Beware that you do not renounce the one who speaks. For if those men did not flee when they renounced the one who divinely-warned them upon the earth, much more we may not flee who are turning away from him, who is from the heavens;
