Since many have undertaken the task to compile a narrative concerning the matters which have been fully assured among us, ² just-as they gave them to us, who from the beginning became eyewitnesses and attendants of the word, ³ it also seemed good to me, having followed accurately in all things from the start, to write to you afterwards, most-excellent Theophilus; ⁴ in order that you might fully know the certainty concerning the words in which you were instructed.


⁵ It happened in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, there was a certain priest, Zacharias by name, from the class of Abijah and he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron and her name was Elisabeth. ⁶ Now they were both righteous and blameless in God’s sight, conducting-themselves in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord. ⁷ And there was no child to them, insomuch as Elisabeth was barren, and they were both advanced in their days.
⁸ Now it happened, while he was doing priestly duties in front of God in the order of his class, ⁹ according to the custom of the priest’s office, his lot was to burn-incense, when he entered into the temple of the Lord. ¹⁰ And the whole multitude of the people were praying outside in the hour of incense. ¹¹ And a messenger of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of the altar of incense. ¹² And Zacharias, having seen him, was disturbed, and fear fell upon him.
¹³ But the messenger said to him, Do not fear, Zacharias, because your supplication was heard and your wife Elisabeth will be giving-birth to a son to you and you will call his name John. ¹⁴ And there will be joy and gladness to you, and many will be rejoicing at his birth. ¹⁵ For he will be great in the Lord’s sight, and he may never drink wine or liquor, and he will be filled more with the Holy Spirit even from his mother’s womb. ¹⁶ And he will be turning many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God. ¹⁷ And he will be going beforehand, in his sight, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to return the hearts of the fathers back on their children, and the disobedient to return in the prudence of the righteous; to make-ready a prepared people for the Lord. ¹⁸ And Zacharias said to the messenger, According to what, shall I know this? For I am an elderly-man and my wife is advanced in her days.
¹⁹ And the messenger answered and said to him, I am Gabriel, who stands in God’s sight, and I was sent to speak to you and to proclaim to you this good-news. ²⁰ And behold, you will be silent and not able to speak, till the day that these things should happen, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their time.
²¹ And the people were expecting Zacharias and they were marveling at his delaying in the temple. ²² But when he came out, he was not able to speak to them, and they recognized that he had seen a vision in the temple, and he was signaling to them and was remaining mute. ²³ And it happened, as the days of his ministry were fulfilled, he went away to his house.
²⁴ Now after these days, Elisabeth his wife conceived, and she was hiding herself for five months, saying, ²⁵ Thus the Lord has done to me in the days in which he looked upon me, to take away my reproach among men.


²⁶ Now in the sixth month Gabriel the messenger was sent by God to a city of Galilee, whose name was Nazareth, ²⁷ to a virgin who has been engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, from the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary. ²⁸ And the messenger coming to her, said, Hail! She who has been favored. The Lord is with you. You have been blessed among women. ²⁹ But having seen him, she was very disturbed at his speech, and was reasoning what sort of greeting this might be. ³⁰ And the messenger said to her, Do not fear, Mary; for you have found favor with God. ³¹ And behold, you will conceive in your womb and will be bearing a son and will call his name Jesus. ³² He will be great and will be called the Son of the Highest and the Lord God will be giving to him the throne of his father David, ³³ and he will be reigning over the house of Jacob forever, and there will be no end of his kingdom.
³⁴ But Mary said to the messenger, How will this be, since I do not know a man sexually?
³⁵ And the messenger answered and said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Highest will be overshadowing you; hence the holy one being born out of you will also be called the Son of God. ³⁶ And behold, Elisabeth your relative, she also has conceived a son in her elderliness, and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren, ³⁷ because every declaration from God will not be powerless.
³⁸ But Mary said, Behold, the bondservant of the Lord; let it happen to me according to your declaration. And the messenger went away from her.

³⁹ Now having risen up in these days, Mary traveled diligently into the hill-country, into a city of Judah, ⁴⁰ and entered into the house of Zacharias and greeted Elisabeth. ⁴¹ And it happened, as Elisabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the baby jumped in her womb, and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit; ⁴² and she shouted out with a loud voice and said, You have been blessed among women, and the fruit of your womb has been blessed. ⁴³ And from where, is this to me, in order that the mother of my Lord should come to me? ⁴⁴ For behold, as the voice of your greeting came into my ears, the baby jumped in my womb in gladness. ⁴⁵ And she who believed is fortunate, because there will be a completion of the things which have been spoken to her from the Lord.
⁴⁶ And Mary said, My soul extols the Lord, ⁴⁷ and my spirit was glad in God my Savior. ⁴⁸ Because he has looked upon the humbleness of his bondservant; for behold, from hereafter all generations will esteem me fortunate. ⁴⁹ Because he the mighty has done magnificent things to me and his name is holy, ⁵⁰ and his mercy is toward generations of generations to those who fear him. ⁵¹ He has made his dominion known with his arm. He has scattered the haughty in the perception of their heart. ⁵² He has taken down sovereigns from their thrones and has exalted the humble. ⁵³ He has filled the hungry with good things, and he has sent the rich away empty. ⁵⁴ He helped Israel his young-servant, in order to remember his mercy, ⁵⁵ just-as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and his seed forever.
⁵⁶ Now Mary remained together with her approximately three months and returned to her house.
⁵⁷ Now Elisabeth’s time was fulfilled that she should bear, and she gave-birth to a son. ⁵⁸ And the dwellers around her, and her relatives, heard that the Lord was magnifying his mercy with her, and they were rejoicing together with her. ⁵⁹ And it happened, that on the eighth day, that they came to circumcise the child, and they were to be calling it upon the name of his father, Zacharias. ⁶⁰ And his mother answered and said, Not so, but he will be called John.
⁶¹ And they said to her, There is none among your relatives who is called by this name. ⁶² But they were signaling to his father, what he might wish him to be called. ⁶³ And he asked for a writing-tablet and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they all marveled. ⁶⁴ Now his mouth was instantly opened, and his tongue loosed, and he was speaking, thanking God. ⁶⁵ And fear became upon all those dwelling around them and all these declarations were being talked-about in the whole hill-country of Judea. ⁶⁶ And all who heard them placed them in their heart, saying, What then will this child be? And the hand of the Lord was with him.
⁶⁷ And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied, saying, ⁶⁸ The Lord, the God of Israel is gracious. Because he has visited and made redemption for his people, ⁶⁹ and has lifted up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his young-servant David, ⁷⁰ (just-as he spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets that have been from the ages past). ⁷¹ We have salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us; ⁷² to do his mercy with our fathers and his holy covenant to remember. ⁷³ We have the oath which he swore to Abraham our father to give to us, ⁷⁴ having been fearlessly rescued out of the hand of our enemies, to give-divine service to him ⁷⁵ in holiness and righteousness all the days of our life in his sight. ⁷⁶ And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Highest; for ‘you will be traveling before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways.’ ⁷⁷ You are to give knowledge of salvation to his people in the forgiveness of their sins, ⁷⁸ through the heart of mercy of our God, in which the rising of light from on high has visited us, ⁷⁹ to appear upon those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death; to steer our feet into the way of peace.
⁸⁰ Now the child was growing and becoming-powerful in spirit and was in the wildernesses until the day of his public showing to Israel.

³¹ but these have been written, in order that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and in order that believing you may have life in his name.

O Theophilus, I indeed made the first account concerning all that Jesus began both to do and to teach, ² till the day in which he was received up, having commanded through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen.


³ The apostles to whom, he also presented himself as living in many definite-proofs after he had suffered on the cross, being seen by them through out forty days and speaking the things concerning the kingdom of God.

¹⁶ And confessedly great is the mystery of godliness : God was manifested in the flesh, was made righteous in the Spirit, was seen by messengers, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was received up in glory.

¹⁷ But the Lord stood beside me and empowered me; in order that the preaching might be fully assured through me and in order that all the Gentiles might hear and I was rescued out of the mouth of the lion.

¹⁶ For we did not follow wisely devised fables, when we made known to you the power and presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, but in that, we became eyewitnesses of that majesty. ¹⁷ For having received honor and glory from God the Father, when such a voice was carried to him by the Majestic Glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am delighted. ¹⁸ And we heard this voice, having been carried from heaven, being together with him in the holy mountain. ¹⁹ And we have the steadfast prophetic word, (as to a lamp appearing in a dreary place, until the day should dawn and the morning-star might rise), to which you are doing well, and taking-heed in your hearts.

The beginning of the good-news of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

¹⁴ The sower is sowing the word.

⁴⁸ Now you are witnesses of these things.

²⁷ and you also will be testifying, because you have been with me from the beginning.

³ The apostles to whom, he also presented himself as living in many definite-proofs after he had suffered on the cross, being seen by them through out forty days and speaking the things concerning the kingdom of God.

⁸ But you will be receiving power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be witnesses to me, both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the outermost parts of the earth.

²¹ Therefore, of those men who have come together with us all the time in which the Lord Jesus entered in and went out among us, ²² having begun from the immersion of John, to the day from which he was received up from us, it is essential one of these is to become a witness together with us of his resurrection.

²⁰ For we are not able to speak, but the things which we saw and heard.

³⁹ And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the region of the Jews and in Jerusalem–whom they also assassinated, having hung him upon a tree. ⁴⁰ God raised this one up on the third day and gave him to become manifest, ⁴¹ not to all the people, but to witnesses that have been assigned before by God, even to us, who ate and drank together with him after he rose up from the dead.

¹⁶ But rise up and stand upon your feet; for to this end I have appeared to you, to assign you to be an attendant and a witness both of the things which you have seen, and of the things which will be seen by you.

¹⁶ that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, having done the sacred work of the good-news of God, in order that the offering up of the Gentiles might become acceptable, having been made holy in the Holy Spirit.

¹ So let a man count us as attendants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.

⁷ of which I became a servant, according to the gift of that grace of God which was given me according to the working of his power. ⁸ This grace was given to me the least of all the holy-ones, to proclaim the good-news of the untraceable riches of Christ among the Gentiles;

¹¹ And he gave some to be : the apostles, and the prophets, and the evangelists, and the shepherds and teachers ¹² for the equipping of the holy-ones, for the work of the service, for the building up of the body of the Christ,

²³ if you actually are remaining in the faith, having been founded and grounded and not being moved away from the hope of the good-news which you heard, which was preached in all creation which is under heaven; of which I, Paul, became a servant.
²⁴ Now I am rejoicing in my sufferings on your behalf and I am filling up in my flesh, the things lacking of the afflictions of the Christ on behalf of his body, which is the congregation of believers; ²⁵ of which I became a servant, according to the stewardship of God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God,

³ how shall we flee, having neglected so-great a salvation, which having received at the beginning was spoken through the Lord, which was confirmed to us from those who heard it?

¹ I am encouraging the elders the ones among you, (the fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of the Christ, also the partner of the glory which is about to be revealed).

¹⁶ For we did not follow wisely devised fables, when we made known to you the power and presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, but in that, we became eyewitnesses of that majesty.

¹ What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we saw and our hands touched, concerning the Word of life ² and the life was manifested and we have seen and are testifying and reporting to you the everlasting life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us. ³ What we have seen and have heard, we report to you, in order that you may also have fellowship with us, but also our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ;

⁵ Many, O Jehovah my God, are the wonderful works which you have done and your thoughts which are toward us. They cannot be set in order to you. If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

²¹ These things you have done and I kept silence. You thought that I was altogether such a one as yourself. But I will reprove you and set them in order before your eyes.

⁹ And further, because the Preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge. Yes, he pondered and sought out and set in order many proverbs.

⁴ But Peter began and was expounding the matter to them afterwards, saying,

¹⁹ Hence, I am deciding not to trouble those who are turning to God from among the Gentiles;

²⁵ it seemed good to us, having become united, to choose out men together with our beloved Barnabas and Paul and send them to you,

²⁸ For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us, to place no more burden upon you except these necessary things:

²⁶ Claudius Lysias to the most-excellent governor Felix. Hail to you.

³ We are accepting it both in all things and everywhere, with all thanksgiving, most-excellent Felix.

²⁵ But Paul says, I am not insane, most-excellent Festus, but I am speaking out the words of truth and self-discipline.

⁴⁰ But she is fortunate if she remains so, according to my viewpoint, and I think that I also have the Spirit of God.

¹² Now concerning Apollos the brother, I encouraged him many times in order that he should come to you with the brethren and it was certainly not his will in order that he should come now, but he will be coming whenever he has an opportunity.

²⁵ This one was instructing people in the way of the Lord, and being zealous in his spirit, he was speaking and teaching accurately the things concerning the Lord, but only knowing the immersion of John.

¹⁸ and know God’s will and approve the things which carry more-value, being instructed out of the law,

¹⁹ But in the congregation, I wish to speak five words through my mind in order that I might also instruct others, than ten thousand words in a foreign language.

⁶ But let him, who is instructed in the word, share in all good things with the one who instructs.

¹⁵ But I will also be diligent, each-time, to have you in remembrance of these things, to practice them after my exodus. ¹⁶ For we did not follow wisely devised fables, when we made known to you the power and presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, but in that, we became eyewitnesses of that majesty.

¹⁰ the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,

¹⁹ This was the ordering of them in their service, to come into the house of Jehovah according to the ordinance given to them by Aaron their father, as Jehovah, the God of Israel, had commanded him.

⁴ Iddo, Ginnethoi, Abijah,

¹⁷ from Abijah: Zichri; from Miniamin; from Moadiah; Piltai;

¹ Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise-men from the east came into Jerusalem,

⁹ These are the genealogies of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.

¹ And Jehovah said to Noah, Come, you and all your house into the ark, because I have seen you to be righteous before me in this generation.

¹ And when Abram was ninety-nine years old, Jehovah appeared to Abram and said to him, I am God Almighty, walk before me and you will be perfect.

⁴ And as for you, if you will walk before me, as David your father walked, in integrity of heart and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you and will keep my statutes and my ordinances,

³ Remember now, O Jehovah, I beseech you, how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart and have done what is good in your sight. And Hezekiah wept greatly.

¹ There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job and that man was perfect and upright and one who feared God and turned away from evil.

⁸ And Jehovah said to Satan, Have you considered my servant Job? For there is none like him on the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one who fears God and turns away from evil.

² Of a truth I know that it is so. But how can man be just with God?

⁶ Then I will not be put to shame when I have respect for all your commandments.

¹⁵ And he said to them, You are those who are making yourselves righteous in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts, because what is exalted among men is an abomination in God’s sight.

¹ Now Paul, having staring to ward the council, said, Men, brethren, I have behaved-as a Jewish citizen to ward God in all good conscience till this day.

¹⁶ But I apply myself in this, having a guilt-free conscience always toward God and men.

⁹ Therefore what? Are we, Jews special? Certainly not; for we accused beforehand, both Jews and Greeks, that they are all under sin; ¹⁰ just-as it has been written, ‘There is none righteous, not even one. ¹¹ No one is understanding. No one is seeking out God. ¹² They all shunned God. They were becoming-useless at the same time. No one is practicing kindness; no one is insofar as even one.’ ¹³ ‘Their throat has been an opened burial chamber; they were treacherous with their tongues.’‘The poison of asps is under their lips.’ ¹⁴ ‘Whose mouth is full of evil-cursing and bitterness.’ ¹⁵ ‘Their feet are swift to shed blood; ¹⁶ downfall and miseries are in their ways; ¹⁷ and they did not know the way of peace.’ ¹⁸ ‘There is no fear of God in front of their eyes.’
¹⁹ Now we know how-much, as many things as the law says, it is speaking to those in the law; in order that every mouth may be sealed and all the world may become under the sentence of God; ²⁰ because no flesh will be made righteous in his sight from the works of the law; for through the law comes the full knowledge of sin.
²¹ But now the righteousness of God has been manifested separate from the law, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; ²² even the righteousness of God through faith of Jesus Christ toward all and upon all those who believe; for there is no distinction; ²³ for all have sinned and come-short of the glory of God. ²⁴ All those who believe, being made righteous freely by his grace, through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus, ²⁵ whom God purposed as an atonement through the faith in his blood in an example of his righteousness, because of the passing over of the sins, having been done beforehand,

² Now I praise you brethren that you have remembered me in all things and are holding-onto the traditions, just-as I gave them to you.

¹² For this is our boasting, the testimony of our conscience, that in clarity and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we conducted ourselves in the world and even-more toward you.

¹⁵ in order that you might become blameless and harmless children of God, flawless in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as illuminations in the world.

⁶ according to zeal, I was persecuting the congregation of believers; according to the righteousness in the law, I became blameless. ⁷ But what things were gains for me, I have deemed these a forfeiture because of the Christ. ⁸ But therefore, I am also deeming all things indeed to be a forfeiture because of the superiority of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, because of whom, I forfeited all things, and am deeming them to be but trash, in order that I may gain Christ, ⁹ and may be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, which is from the law, but which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is from God on the faith,

²² in the body of his flesh through his death, to present you holy and unblemished and irreproachable in his sight;

¹³ that he might establish your hearts, blameless in holiness before our God and Father, in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, with all his holy-ones.

¹¹ For the grace of God has appeared, which is salvation to all men, ¹² educating us in order that we should live with self-discipline and righteously and devoutly in this current age, after having denied ungodliness and worldly lusts; ¹³ waiting for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ; ¹⁴ who gave himself on our behalf, in order that he might redeem us away from all lawlessness and might cleanse a treasured people for himself, zealous of good works.

³ For we were also previously foolish, disobedient, being misled, serving in various lusts and sensual-delights, leading lives in malice and envy, spiteful, hating one another. ⁴ But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love of mankind had appeared: ⁵ he saved us (not from any works done in righteousness, which we practiced), but according to his mercy, through the full-washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, ⁶ which he poured out upon us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior; ⁷ in order that we might become heirs according to the hope of everlasting life, having been made righteous in that grace.

¹⁴ Hence, beloved, while expecting these things, be diligent that you may be found in peace, unstained and unblemished in his sight.

³ And we know in this that we have known him; if we are keeping his commandments.

²⁹ If you know that he is righteous, you also know that everyone who is practicing righteousness has been born from him.

⁷ Let no one mislead you, my little-children. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just-as that man is righteous.

² And Abram said, O Lord Jehovah, what will you give me, since I go childless. And he who will be possessor of my house is Eliezer of Damascus? ³ And Abram said, Behold, you have given no seed to me. And behold, a man born in my house is my heir.

¹ Now Sarai, Abram's wife, bore him no children. And she had a handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar. ² And Sarai said to Abram, Behold now, Jehovah has restrained me from bearing children. I beseech you, go in to my handmaid. Perhaps I will be built up from her. And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.

¹⁷ Then Abraham fell upon his face and laughed and said in his heart, Shall a child be born to him who is a hundred years old? And will Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear?

¹¹ Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age. It had ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.

²¹ And Isaac entreated Jehovah for his wife, because she was barren. And Jehovah was entreated by him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

¹ And when Rachel saw that she bore Jacob no sons, Rachel envied her sister and she said to Jacob, Give me sons, or else I die.

² And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah and his wife was barren and did not bear.
³ And the messenger of Jehovah appeared to the woman and said to her, Behold now, you are barren and do not bear, but you will conceive and bear a son.

² And he had two wives: the name of the one was Hannah and the name of the other Peninnah. And Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.

⁵ but to Hannah he gave a double portion, for he loved Hannah, but Jehovah had shut up her womb.
⁶ And her rival provoked her greatly, to make her fret, because Jehovah had shut up her womb. ⁷ And as he did so year by year when she went up to the house of Jehovah, so she provoked her. Therefore she wept and did not eat. ⁸ And Elkanah her husband said to her, Hannah, why do you weep? And why do you not eat? And why is your heart grieved? Am not I better to you than ten sons?

¹ Now king David was old and stricken in years and they covered him with clothes, but he did not get warm.

¹⁴ And he said, What then is to be done for her? And Gehazi answered, Truly she has no son and her husband is old.

¹⁹ And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already sterile, (being nearly a hundred years), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

¹¹ In faith, even Sarah herself received power to conceive seed and bore a son contrary to the time of her fertile age, since she deemed him faithful who had promised.

¹ And bring you near to you Aaron your brother and his sons with him, from among the sons of Israel, that he may minister to me in the priest's office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's sons.

⁴¹ And you will put them upon Aaron your brother and upon his sons with him and will anoint them and consecrate them and sanctify them, that they may minister to me in the priest's office.

¹ And this is the thing that you will do to them to sanctify them, to minister to me in the priest's office: Take one young bullock and two rams without blemish,

⁹ And you will gird them with sashes, Aaron and his sons and bind head-coverings on them. And they will have the priesthood by a everlasting statute. And you will consecrate Aaron and his sons.

⁴⁴ And I will sanctify the tent of meeting and the altar. I will also sanctify Aaron and his sons to minister to me in the priest's office.

³⁰ And you will anoint Aaron and his sons and sanctify them, that they may minister to me in the priest's office.

⁷ And you and your sons with you will keep your* priesthood for everything of the altar and for that within the veil and you* will serve. I give you* the priesthood as a service of gift. And the stranger who comes near will be put to death.

² But Nadab and Abihu died before their father and had no sons. Therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest's office.

¹⁴ And he appointed, according to the ordinance of David his father, the divisions of the priests to their service and the Levites to their offices, to praise and to minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required, also the gatekeepers by their divisions at every gate. For so David the man of God had commanded.

¹⁴ For the Levites left their suburbs and their possession and came to Judah and Jerusalem. For Jeroboam and his sons cast them off, that they should not execute the priest's office to Jehovah.

² And Hezekiah appointed the divisions of the priests and the Levites after their divisions, every man according to his service, both the priests and the Levites, for burnt offerings and for peace offerings, to minister and to give thanks and to praise in the gates of the camp of Jehovah.

¹⁹ Also for the sons of Aaron the priests, who were in the fields of the suburbs of their cities, in every city, there were men who were mentioned by name, to give portions to all the males among the priests and to all who were reckoned by genealogy among the Levites.

¹⁸ And they set the priests in their divisions and the Levites in their divisions, for the service of God, which is at Jerusalem, as it is written in the book of Moses.

⁵ It happened in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, there was a certain priest, Zacharias by name, from the class of Abijah and he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron and her name was Elisabeth.

⁷ And Aaron will burn in it incense of sweet spices. Every morning, when he dresses the lamps, he will burn it. ⁸ And when Aaron lights the lamps at evening, he will burn it, a perpetual incense before Jehovah throughout your* genealogy.

²⁵ And he made the altar of incense of acacia wood: a cubit was the length of it and a cubit the breadth of it, square and two cubits was the height of it. The horns of it were of one piece with it. ²⁶ And he overlaid it with pure gold, the top of it and the sides of it all around and the horns of it. And he made to it a crown of gold all around. ²⁷ And he made for it two golden rings under the crown of it, upon the two ribs of it, upon the two sides of it, for places for staves with which to bear it. ²⁸ And he made the staves of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold.
²⁹ And he made the holy anointing oil and the pure incense of sweet spices, after the art of the perfumer.

⁴⁰ to be a memorial to the sons of Israel, to the end that no stranger, who is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to burn incense before Jehovah, that he not be as Korah and as his company, as Jehovah spoke to him by Moses.

²⁸ And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to go up to my altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? And did I give to the house of your father all the offerings of the sons of Israel made by fire?

⁴⁹ But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of burnt offering and upon the altar of incense, for all the work of the most holy place and to make atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.

¹³ The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses. And Aaron was separated that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons, until everlasting, to burn incense before Jehovah, to minister to him and to bless in his name, until everlasting.

¹⁶ But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up, so that he did corruptly and he trespassed against Jehovah his God. For he went into the temple of Jehovah to burn incense upon the altar of incense.

¹¹ My sons, do not be negligent now. For Jehovah has chosen you* to stand before him, to minister to him and that you* should be his ministers and burn incense.

⁶ Now these things having thus always been prepared, the priests indeed go into the first tabernacle, completing the divine services to God;

¹⁷ And there will be no man in the tent of meeting when he goes in to make atonement in the holy place until he comes out and has made atonement for himself and for his household and for all the assembly of Israel.

¹⁴ Therefore having a great high-priest, Jesus the Son of God, who has gone through the heavens, let us hold-fast our confession.

²⁴ For the Christ did not enter into a holy-places made with hands, counterparts to the true one, but into heaven itself, now to be manifested before the face of God on our behalf.

³ And another messenger came and stood over the altar, having a golden censer, and many incenses were given to him in order that he should give it to the prayers of all the holy-ones upon the golden altar which is in the sight of the throne.

¹ And you will make an altar to burn incense upon. You will make it of acacia wood. ² A cubit will be the length of it and a cubit the breadth of it (it will be square) and two cubits will be the height of it. The horns of it will be of one piece with it. ³ And you will overlay it with pure gold, the top of it and the sides of it all around and the horns of it. And you will make to it a crown of gold all around. ⁴ And two golden rings you will make for it under the crown of it, upon the two ribs of it, upon the two sides of it you will make them. And they will be for places for staves with which to bear it. ⁵ And you will make the staves of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. ⁶ And you will put it before the veil that is by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy-seat that is over the testimony, where I will meet with you.
⁷ And Aaron will burn in it incense of sweet spices. Every morning, when he dresses the lamps, he will burn it. ⁸ And when Aaron lights the lamps at evening, he will burn it, a perpetual incense before Jehovah throughout your* genealogy. ⁹ You* will offer no strange incense on it, nor burnt offering, nor meal offering. And you* will pour no drink offering on it. ¹⁰ And Aaron will make atonement upon the horns of it once in the year, with the blood of the sin offering of atonement. Once in the year he will make atonement for it throughout your* genealogy. It is most holy to Jehovah.

²⁶ And he put the golden altar in the tent of meeting before the veil, ²⁷ and he burnt incense of sweet spices on it, as Jehovah commanded Moses.

¹³ And he will put the incense upon the fire before Jehovah, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy-seat that is upon the testimony, that he not die.

³ And the messenger of Jehovah appeared to the woman and said to her, Behold now, you are barren and do not bear, but you will conceive and bear a son.

⁹ And God listened to the voice of Manoah and the messenger of God came again to the woman as she sat in the field, but Manoah her husband was not with her.

¹⁹ And the messenger answered and said to him, I am Gabriel, who stands in God’s sight, and I was sent to speak to you and to proclaim to you this good-news.

²⁸ And the messenger coming to her, said, Hail! She who has been favored. The Lord is with you. You have been blessed among women.

¹⁰ And the messenger said to them, Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good-news of great joy which will be to all the people,

¹⁹ But a messenger of the Lord through the night, opened the doors of the prison, having led them out, said,

³ He saw openly in a vision, at approximately the ninth hour of the day, a messenger of God who came to him and said to him, Cornelius.
⁴ But having stared at him and becoming fearful, said, What is it, Lord?
But he said to him, Your prayers and your charity have gone up for a memorial in God’s sight.

¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits, being sent forth into service because of those who are about to inherit salvation?

³ And another messenger came and stood over the altar, having a golden censer, and many incenses were given to him in order that he should give it to the prayers of all the holy-ones upon the golden altar which is in the sight of the throne. ⁴ And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the holy-ones, went up in God’s sight out of the messenger’s hand.

¹³ And the sixth messenger sounded and I heard one voice out of the four horns of the golden altar which is in God’s sight,

²² And Gideon saw that he was the messenger of Jehovah. And Gideon said, Alas, O lord Jehovah! Inasmuch as I have seen the messenger of Jehovah face to face.

²² And Manoah said to his wife, We will surely die, because we have seen God.

¹⁴ fear came upon me and trembling, which made all my bones to shake. ¹⁵ Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair of my flesh stood up.

⁷ And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision, for the men who were with me did not see the vision, but a great quaking fell upon them and they fled to hide themselves.

⁵ And entering into the tomb, they saw a young-man sitting at the right side, having been dressed in a white robe, and they were utterly amazed.

²⁹ But having seen him, she was very disturbed at his speech, and was reasoning what sort of greeting this might be.

⁹ And behold, a messenger of the Lord stood by them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. ¹⁰ And the messenger said to them, Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good-news of great joy which will be to all the people,

⁴ But having stared at him and becoming fearful, said, What is it, Lord?
But he said to him, Your prayers and your charity have gone up for a memorial in God’s sight.

¹⁷ And when I saw him, I fell like one dead at his feet. And he placed his right hand upon me, saying, Do not fear; I am the first and the last,

¹⁰ This is my covenant, which you* will keep, between me and you* and your seed after you; every male among you* will be circumcised.

¹⁹ And God said, No, but Sarah your wife will bear you a son and you will call his name Isaac. And I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his seed after him.

¹⁴ Is anything too hard for Jehovah? At the set time I will return to you, when the season comes round and Sarah will have a son.

²³ And Jehovah said to him, Peace be to you. Do not fear; you will not die.

³ And the messenger of Jehovah appeared to the woman and said to her, Behold now, you are barren and do not bear, but you will conceive and bear a son. ⁴ Now therefore beware, I beseech you and drink no wine nor strong drink and do not eat any unclean thing, ⁵ for behold, you will conceive and bear a son. And no razor will come upon his head, for the child will be a Nazirite to God from the womb. And he will begin to save Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.

²⁰ And it happened, when the time came about, that Hannah conceived and bore a son. And she called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of Jehovah.
²¹ And the man Elkanah and all his house, went up to offer to Jehovah the yearly sacrifice and his vow. ²² But Hannah did not go up, for she said to her husband, Not until the child be weaned and then I will bring him, that he may appear before Jehovah and abide there everlasting. ²³ And Elkanah her husband said to her, Do what seems good to you. Remain until you have weaned him, only Jehovah establish his word. So the woman remained and gave her son suck, until she weaned him.

²¹ And Jehovah visited Hannah and she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before Jehovah.

¹⁶ And he said, At this season, when the time comes round, you will embrace a son. And she said, No, my lord, you man of God, do not lie to your handmaid.
¹⁷ And the woman conceived and bore a son at that season, when the time came round, as Elisha had said to her.

⁹ He makes the barren woman to keep house, a joyful mother of sons.
Praise Jehovah.

²¹ I will give thanks to you, because you have answered me and have become my salvation.

³ Behold, sons are a heritage of Jehovah and the fruit of the womb is a reward. ⁴ As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the sons of youth.
⁵ The man who has his quiver full of them is fortunate. They will not be put to shame because they speak with their enemies in the gate.

³ And I went to the prophetess and she conceived and bore a son.
Then Jehovah said to me, Call his name Make Haste to Plunder! Hurry to the Spoil!

¹² Then he said to me, Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard. And I have come for your words' sake.

⁴ And Jehovah said to him, Call his name Jezreel, for yet a little while and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu and will cause the kingdom of the house of Israel to cease.

⁶ And she conceived again and bore a daughter. And Jehovah said to him, Call her name Lo-ruhamah, for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel, that I should in any way pardon them.

⁹ And Jehovah said, Call his name Lo-ammi, for you* are not my people and I will not be yours*.
¹⁰ Yet the number of the sons of Israel will be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered. And it will happen that, in the place where it was said to them, You* are not my people, it will be said to them, The sons of the living God.

²¹ Now she will be bearing a son, and you will call his name Jesus, for he will be saving his people from their sins.

²⁷ But Jesus immediately spoke to them, saying, Have courage; it is I; do not be afraid.

⁵ Now the messenger answered and said to the women, Do not be afraid; for I know that you are seeking Jesus, who has been crucified.

⁶ Now he says to them, Do not be utterly amazed. You are seeking Jesus, the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He was raised. He is not here. Behold, the place where they laid him.

³⁰ And the messenger said to her, Do not fear, Mary; for you have found favor with God.

⁶⁰ And his mother answered and said, Not so, but he will be called John.
⁶¹ And they said to her, There is none among your relatives who is called by this name. ⁶² But they were signaling to his father, what he might wish him to be called. ⁶³ And he asked for a writing-tablet and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they all marveled.

²¹ And when eight days were fulfilled to circumcise him, his name was called Jesus, which was called by the messenger before he was conceived in the womb.

³⁶ Now while they are speaking these things, Jesus stood in the midst of them and says to them, Peace is to you. ³⁷ But they became terrified and fearful and were thinking that they had viewed a spirit. ³⁸ And he said to them, Why are you disturbed? And why do questions come up in your hearts? ³⁹ Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me and see, because a spirit does not have flesh and bones, like you view me having. ⁴⁰ And having said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.

³¹ and says, Cornelius, your prayer is heard and your charity is remembered in God’s sight.

⁶ And Sarah said, God has made me to laugh. Everyone who hears will laugh with me.

²⁰ A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish man despises his mother.

¹⁵ My son, if your heart is wise, my heart will be glad, even mine.

²⁴ The father of a righteous man will greatly rejoice and he who begets a wise son will have joy of him.

⁵⁸ And the dwellers around her, and her relatives, heard that the Lord was magnifying his mercy with her, and they were rejoicing together with her.

² And I will make of you a great nation and I will bless you and make your name great and you will be a blessing.

¹⁹ And his father refused and said, I know, my son, I know. He also will become a people and he also will be great. However, his younger brother will be greater than he and his seed will become a multitude of nations.

² Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, When either man or woman will make a special vow, the vow of a Nazirite, to separate himself to Jehovah, ³ he will separate himself from wine and strong drink. He will drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither will he drink any juice of grapes, nor eat fresh grapes or dried. ⁴ All the days of his separation he will eat nothing that is made of the grapevine, from the kernels even to the husk.

⁷ And Jehovah said to Joshua, This day I will begin to magnify you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with you.

¹⁴ On that day Jehovah magnified Joshua in the sight of all Israel and they feared him, as they feared Moses, all the days of his life.

⁴ Now therefore beware, I beseech you and drink no wine nor strong drink and do not eat any unclean thing, ⁵ for behold, you will conceive and bear a son. And no razor will come upon his head, for the child will be a Nazirite to God from the womb. And he will begin to save Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.
⁶ Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came to me and his countenance was like the countenance of the messenger of God, very awesome. And I did not ask him from where he was, neither did he tell me his name,

⁸ And I have been with you wherever you have gone and have cut off all your enemies from before you. And I will make you a name like the name of the great ones who are on the earth.

¹² Both riches and honor come of you and you rule over all. And in your hand is power and might. And in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all.

⁹ Because you are he who took me out of the womb. You made me trust upon my mother's breasts.

⁵ Before I formed you in the belly I knew you and before you came forth out of the womb I made you holy. I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.

¹⁵ Jehovah of hosts will defend them. And they will devour and will tread down the sling-stones. And they will drink and make a noise as through wine and they will be filled like bowls, like the corners of the altar.

⁹ But why did you go out? To see a prophet? I say to you, Yes, and one who is more-than a prophet. ¹⁰ For this is he, concerning whom it has been written, ‘Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will be preparing your way before you.’ ¹¹ Assuredly I am saying to you, A greater man has not arisen among those born from women than John the Immerser. But he who is least in the kingdom of the heavens is greater than he. ¹² But from the days of John the Immerser until now the kingdom of the heavens suffers-violently and the violent ones seize it. ¹³ For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. ¹⁴ And if you are willing to accept it, he himself is Elijah, who is the one about to come. ¹⁵ He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
¹⁶ But to what shall be similar to this generation? It is similar to children sitting in the marketplaces and shouting to their comrades ¹⁷ and saying, We piped to you and you did not dance. We mourned for you and yet you did not grieve for yourselves. ¹⁸ For John came neither eating nor drinking and they say, He has a demon. ¹⁹ The Son of Man came eating and drinking and they say, Behold, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners! And wisdom was made righteous from her children.

²⁸ For I say to you, Among those born of women there is no prophet greater than John the Immerser; yet he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

³³ For John the Immerser has come neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, He has a demon.

³⁵ He was that lamp which burns and appears bright, and you were willing to be glad for a season in his light.

⁴ And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, just-as the Spirit was giving to them to speak out.

¹⁴ But Peter, standing up together with the eleven, lifted up his voice and spoke out to them, saying, Men, Jews and all you who are dwelling in Jerusalem, let this be known to you and notice my words. ¹⁵ For these men are not drunken, as you take it to be; for it is only the third hour of the day. ¹⁶ But this is what has been spoken through the prophet Joel, ¹⁷ God says, ‘And it will be in the last days, I will pour out from My Spirit upon all flesh and your sons and your daughters will prophesy and your young-men will see visions and your elderly-men will dream dreams. ¹⁸ For-sure, I will pour out of my Spirit upon my male bondservants and upon my female bondservants in those days, and they will prophesy.

¹⁵ But when God was delighted–he separated me from my mother’s womb, having called me through his grace,

¹⁸ And do not be drunken with wine, in which there is riotousness, but be filled in the Spirit;

³ The voice of a man crying out in the wilderness, Prepare the way of Jehovah, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
⁴ Every valley will be exalted and every mountain and hill will be made low. And the crooked will become straight and the rough places smooth. ⁵ And the glory of Jehovah will be revealed and all flesh will see it together. For the mouth of Jehovah has spoken it.

⁶ yes, he says, It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved of Israel. I will also give you for a light to the Gentiles, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.

³ And those who are wise will shine as the brightness of the expanse and those who turn many to righteousness as the stars everlasting and forever.

¹ Behold, I send my messenger and he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord, whom you* seek, will suddenly come to his temple. And the messenger of the covenant, whom you* desire, behold, he comes, says Jehovah of hosts.

¹ Now in those days John the Immerser comes, preaching in the wilderness of Judea, ² and saying, Repent; for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near. ³ For this one is he who was spoken of by Isaiah the prophet, saying, ‘A voice is crying in the wilderness, prepare the way of the Lord, make^*\'b0 his paths straight.’ ⁴ Now John himself had his outer clothing made of camel’s hair and a leather belt around his loin, and his nourishment was locusts and wild honey. ⁵ Then Jerusalem and everyone in Judea and everyone from the region around the Jordan were traveling out to him. ⁶ And they were being immersed by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.

³² For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe in him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed in him, and the n having seen it, you did not even regret it later, that you might believe in him.

⁷⁶ And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Highest; for ‘you will be traveling before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways.’

⁵ And Samuel said, Gather all Israel to Mizpah and I will pray for you* to Jehovah.

¹ And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the travelers of Gilead, said to Ahab, As Jehovah, the God of Israel, lives, before whom I stand, there will not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.

¹⁸ And he answered, I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father's house, in that you* have forsaken the commandments of Jehovah and you have followed the Baals.

²⁰ And Ahab said to Elijah, Have you found me, O my enemy? And he answered, I have found you because you have sold yourself to do what is evil in the sight of Jehovah.

⁴ Now therefore Jehovah says thus, You will not come down from the bed where you have gone up, but will surely die. And Elijah departed.
⁵ And the messengers returned to him and he said to them, Why is it that you* are returned? ⁶ And they said to him, There came up a man to meet us and said to us, Go, turn again to the king that sent you* and say to him, Jehovah says thus, Is it because there is no God in Israel that you send to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you will not come down from the bed where you have gone up, but will surely die.

¹⁶ And he said to him, Jehovah says thus, Inasmuch as you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of his word? Therefore you will not come down from the bed where you have gone up, but will surely die.

¹⁸ O Jehovah, the God of Abraham, of Isaac and of Israel, our fathers, keep this everlasting in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of your people and prepare their heart to you.

³⁶ And Hezekiah rejoiced and all the people, because of what God had prepared for the people; for the thing was done suddenly.

¹⁷ Jehovah, you have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart, you will cause your ear to hear,

⁸ and might not be as their fathers: a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that did not set their heart aright and whose spirit was not steadfast with God.

¹⁰ The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom and all who act accordingly have a good understanding.
His praise endures forever.

²⁴ They who also go-astray in spirit will come to understanding and those who murmur will receive instruction.

¹² Therefore thus I will do to you, O Israel and because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God, O Israel.

⁵ Behold, I will send you* Elijah the prophet before the great and fearful day of Jehovah comes. ⁶ And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the sons and the heart of the sons to their fathers, lest I come and kill* the earth with a curse.

⁴ Now John himself had his outer clothing made of camel’s hair and a leather belt around his loin, and his nourishment was locusts and wild honey.

⁷ But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his immersion, he said to them, Offspring of vipers, who warned you to flee from the future wrath? ⁸ Therefore produce fruit worthy of repentance. ⁹ Do not think to say among yourselves, We have Abraham for our father; for I say to you, that God is able to lift up children out of these stones for Abraham. ¹⁰ But even already, the ax is laid to the root of the trees, because every tree which is not producing good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.
¹¹ I indeed immerse you in water toward repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not sufficient to bear. He will immerse you in the Holy Spirit; ¹² whose winnowing fan is in his hand, and he will be thoroughly cleansing his threshing floor, and he will be gathering his grain into the barn, but the chaff he will be burning up with unquenchable fire.

¹⁴ And if you are willing to accept it, he himself is Elijah, who is the one about to come.

⁴ For John said to him, It is not legal for you to have her.

¹¹ Now Jesus answered and said to them, Indeed Elijah comes first and will be restoring all things. ¹² But I am saying to you, that Elijah already came, and they did not recognize him, but did as many things as they wished to him. So the Son of Man is also about to suffer by them.

²⁹ But he answered and said, I am not willing, but later he regretted it and went.
³⁰ And he came to the second and said likewise. But he answered and said, I will go lord, and did not go. ³¹ Which one out of the two did the will of his father?
They say, The first.
Jesus says to them, Assuredly I am saying to you, that the tax collectors and the prostitutes will precede you into the kingdom of God. ³² For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe in him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed in him, and the n having seen it, you did not even regret it later, that you might believe in him.

¹¹ And they asked him, saying, How is it that the scribes say that it is essential for Elijah to come first?
¹² But he answered and said to them, Elijah indeed comes first and restores all things, and how it has been written of the Son of Man, in order that he should suffer many things and should be scorned? ¹³ But I am saying to you, that Elijah has come, and they have also done to him as many things as they willed, just-as it has been written of him.

¹⁶ And he will be turning many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God.

⁷ Therefore, he was saying to the crowds who traveled out to be immersed by him, Offspring of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the future wrath? ⁸ Therefore produce fruits worthy of repentance and do not begin to say among yourselves, We have Abraham as our father; for I say to you, that God is able to lift up children to Abraham from these stones. ⁹ Now the ax is also already destined toward the root of the trees. Therefore, every tree which is not producing good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.
¹⁰ And the crowds asked him, saying, Therefore what shall we do?
¹¹ But he answered and said to them, He who has two tunics, let him give one to the one who has none, and he who has food, let him do likewise.
¹² Now tax collectors also came to be immersed, and they said to him, Teacher, what shall we do?
¹³ Now he said to them, Appropriate no more than what has been appointed for you.
¹⁴ But the active soldiers were also asking him, saying, And we, what shall we do?
And he said to them, Intimidate no one, nor cheat anyone, and be content with your rations.

¹³ who were born, not from bloods, nor from the will of the flesh, nor from the will of man, but from God.

²¹ And they asked him, Therefore, what? Are you Elijah?
And he says, I am not.
Are you the prophet?
And he answered, No.
²² Therefore they said to him, Who are you? In order that we might give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say concerning yourself?
²³ He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness. Make straight the way of the Lord, just-as Isaiah the prophet said.
²⁴ And those who had been sent, were from the Pharisees. ²⁵ And they asked him, and said to him, Therefore why do you immerse, if you are not the Christ, neither Elijah, nor the prophet?
²⁶ John answered them, saying, I immerse in water, but one is standing in your midst whom you do not know. ²⁷ It is he who is coming after me, who has become before me. I am not worthy that I should loose the strap of his shoes. ²⁸ These things happened in Bethany beyond-that area of the Jordan, where John was immersing.


²⁹ On the next-day he sees Jesus coming toward him and says, Behold, the Lamb of God, who is taking away the sin of the world! ³⁰ This one is he, concerning whom I said, A man is coming after me who has become before me, because he was first; then me.

³⁴ And I have seen, and have testified, that this is the Son of God.

²⁸ You yourselves testify, that I said, I am not the Christ, but, that I have been sent before that one.

³³ Therefore, promptly I sent for you, and having come, you did well. Therefore, now we are all here in God’s sight, to hear all things which have been commanded to you by God.

²³ and in order that he might make known the riches of his glory upon vessels of mercy, which he prepared beforehand for glory,

⁹ Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not be inheriting the kingdom of God? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor pedophiles, nor homosexuals, ¹⁰ nor the greedy ones, nor thieves, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will be inheriting the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And some of you were these, but you were fully-washed, but you were made holy, but you were made righteous in the name of the Lord Jesus and in the Spirit of our God.

¹² giving-thanks to the Father, who made us sufficient for the part of the inheritance of the holy-ones in the light.

²¹ Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, having been made holy and is useful to the master, having been prepared for every good work.

⁹ But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s ownership, that you may proclaim the virtues of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;

¹¹ Therefore, with all these things being dissolved, see what sort of things you ought to possess in all holy conduct and godliness, ¹² expecting, and diligently wanting the presence of the day of God, through which, the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt, being burnt with heat. ¹³ But according to his promise, we are expecting new heavens and a new earth, in which dwells righteousness.
¹⁴ Hence, beloved, while expecting these things, be diligent that you may be found in peace, unstained and unblemished in his sight.

²⁸ And now, abide in him, my little-children; in order that we should have boldness whenever he is manifested, and in his presence, we should not be shamed away from him.

⁴ And I saw thrones and they sat upon them and judgment was given to them and I saw the souls of those who have been decapitated because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God and those who did not worship the beast, nor his image and did not receive the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand, and they lived and reigned with Christ the thousand years.

⁸ And he said, O Lord Jehovah, how will I know that I will inherit it?

¹² And Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I have become old shall I have pleasure from my lord who is also old?

²¹ And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand footmen and you have said, I will give them flesh, that they may eat a whole month. ²² Shall flocks and herds be slain for them, to suffice them? Or will all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to suffice them?
²³ And Jehovah said to Moses, Is Jehovah's hand grown short? Now you will see whether my word will happen to you or not.

³⁶ And Gideon said to God, If you will save Israel by my hand, as you have spoken, ³⁷ behold, I will put a fleece of wool on the threshing-floor. If there is dew on the fleece only and it is dry upon all the ground, then I will know that you will save Israel by my hand as you have spoken. ³⁸ And it was so, for he rose up early on the morrow and pressed the fleece together and wrung the dew out of the fleece, a bowlful of water.
³⁹ And Gideon said to God, Do not let your anger be kindled against me and I will speak but this once. I beseech you, let me make a trial but this once with the fleece. Let it now be dry only upon the fleece and upon all the ground let there be dew. ⁴⁰ And God did so that night, for it was dry upon the fleece only and there was dew on all the ground.

² Then the captain on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, Behold, if Jehovah should make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, you will see it with your eyes, but will not eat of it.

²² Hezekiah also had said, What is the sign that I will go up to the house of Jehovah?

⁷ And there was no child to them, insomuch as Elisabeth was barren, and they were both advanced in their days.

³⁴ But Mary said to the messenger, How will this be, since I do not know a man sexually?

¹⁶ And I heard a man's voice between the banks of the Ulai, which called and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.

²¹ yes, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.
²² And he instructed me and talked with me and said, O Daniel, I have now come out to give you wisdom and understanding. ²³ At the beginning of your supplications the commandment went forth and I have come to tell you, for you are a great delight. Therefore consider the matter and understand the vision.

¹⁰ See that you do not despise one of these little ones; for I say to you, that in the heavens their messengers are always looking at the face of my Father who is in the heavens.

²⁶ Now in the sixth month Gabriel the messenger was sent by God to a city of Galilee, whose name was Nazareth,

¹⁰ And he said, I will certainly return to you when the season comes round, and behold, Sarah your wife will have a son. And Sarah heard in the tent door, which was behind him.
¹¹ Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age. It had ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. ¹² And Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I have become old shall I have pleasure from my lord who is also old?
¹³ And Jehovah said to Abraham, Why did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I who am old certainly bear a child? ¹⁴ Is anything too hard for Jehovah? At the set time I will return to you, when the season comes round and Sarah will have a son.
¹⁵ Then Sarah denied, saying, I did not laugh, becauses he was afraid.
And he said, No, but you did laugh.

¹¹ And Jehovah said to him, Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes a man dumb, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, Jehovah?

¹² And Jehovah said to Moses and Aaron, Because you* did not believe in me, to sanctify me in the eyes of the sons of Israel, therefore you* will not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.

¹⁹ And that captain answered the man of God and said, Now, behold, if Jehovah should make windows in heaven, might such a thing be? And he said, Behold, you will see it with your eyes, but will not eat of it.

⁹ And the head of Ephraim is Samaria and the head of Samaria is Remaliah's son. If you* will not believe, surely you* will not be established.

²⁶ And I will make your tongue cling to the roof of your mouth, that you will be mute and will not be a reprover to them, for they are a rebellious house.

²⁷ In that day your mouth will be opened to him who has escaped and you will speak and no more be mute. So you will be a sign to them. And they will know that I am Jehovah.

¹⁹ But he answered and says, O unbelieving generation, until when shall I be with you? Until when shall I tolerate you? Bring him to me.

¹⁴ And later, while reclining at a meal, he was manifested to the eleven themselves and he reproached their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen him, that he had been raised.

²² But when he came out, he was not able to speak to them, and they recognized that he had seen a vision in the temple, and he was signaling to them and was remaining mute.

⁴⁵ And she who believed is fortunate, because there will be a completion of the things which have been spoken to her from the Lord.

³ For what if some disbelieved? Their unbelief will be not doing-away-with the faith fulness of God, will it?

¹³ if we are unfaithful, that one is remaining faithful; he is not able to deny himself.

² upon the hope of everlasting life, which God, who is incapable of lying, promised before times everlasting.

¹⁸ in order that through two unchangeable matters, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge, to take-hold of the hope that lays before us.

¹⁹ As many as I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent.

²³ Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, This way you* will bless the sons of Israel: You* will say to them, ²⁴ Jehovah bless you and keep you. ²⁵ Jehovah make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. ²⁶ Jehovah lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. ²⁷ So will they put my name upon the sons of Israel and I will bless them.

⁶² But they were signaling to his father, what he might wish him to be called.

²⁴ Therefore, Simon Peter signals to him to inquire, who it might be, concerning whom he is speaking about.

¹⁷ But he, having beckoned to them with the hand to be silent, described to them how the Lord had led him out of the prison. Now he said, Report these things to James and to the brethren. And having gone out, he traveled to a different place.

³³ But they pushed Alexander forward out of the crowd with the Jews, casting him forward. Now Alexander, having beckoned with the hand, was wishing to make a defense to the public.

⁴⁰ Now having permitted him, Paul, standing upon the steps, beckoned with the hand to the people, and when there became much silence, he was shouting to them in the Hebrew language, saying,

⁵ And he commanded them, saying, This is the thing that you* will do: a third part of you*, who come in on the Sabbath, will be keepers of the watch of the king's house; ⁶ and a third part will be at the gate Sur; and a third part at the gate behind the guard. So will you* keep the watch of the house and be a barrier.
⁷ And the two companies of you*, even all who go forth on the Sabbath, will keep the watch of the house of Jehovah around the king.

²⁵ And their brothers, in their villages, were to come in every seven days from time to time to be with them;

¹ And Jehovah visited Sarah as he had said and Jehovah did to Sarah as he had spoken. ² And Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

²² And God remembered Rachel. And God listened to her and opened her womb. ²³ And she conceived and bore a son and said, God has taken away my reproach.

⁶ And her rival provoked her greatly, to make her fret, because Jehovah had shut up her womb.

¹⁹ And they rose up in the morning early and worshiped before Jehovah and returned and came to their house to Ramah. And Elkanah knew Hannah his wife and Jehovah remembered her. ²⁰ And it happened, when the time came about, that Hannah conceived and bore a son. And she called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of Jehovah.

²¹ And Jehovah visited Hannah and she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before Jehovah.
²² Now Eli was very old. And he heard all that his sons did to all Israel and how that they lay with the women who assembled at the door of the tent of meeting.

¹ And seven women will take hold of one man in that day, saying, We will eat our own bread and wear our own apparel. Only let us be called by your name; take away our reproach.

¹ Sing, O barren, you who did not bear. Break forth into singing and cry aloud, you who did not travail with child. For more are the sons of the desolate than the sons of the married woman, says Jehovah.
² Enlarge the place of your tent and let them stretch forth the curtains of your habitations. Spare not. Lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes. ³ For you will spread abroad on the right hand and on the left. And your seed will possess the nations and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
⁴ Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed. Neither be confounded, for you will not be put to shame. For you will forget the shame of your youth. And the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more.

¹³ But the messenger said to him, Do not fear, Zacharias, because your supplication was heard and your wife Elisabeth will be giving-birth to a son to you and you will call his name John.

²³ and he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth; that what was spoken through the prophets might be fulfilled, that he will be called a Nazarene.

⁴ Now Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was out of the house and family of David;

⁴⁵ Philip finds Nathanael and says to him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law and the prophets wrote, Jesus from Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
⁴⁶ And Nathanael said to him, Is any good thing able to be coming out of Nazareth?
Philip says to him, Come and behold!

⁴¹ Others were saying, This is the Christ. Others were saying, The Christ does not come out of Galilee, does he?

¹⁵ And I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed. He will bruise your head and you will bruise his heel.

¹⁴ Therefore the Lord himself will give you* a sign: Behold, a virgin will conceive and bear a son and will call his name Immanuel.

²² How long will you go here and there, O you backsliding daughter? For Jehovah has created a new thing in the earth: a woman will encompass a man.

¹⁶ and Jacob fathered Joseph, the husband of Mary, from whom was born Jesus, who is called the Christ.

¹⁸ Now the birth of Jesus Christ was thus: for when his mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be pregnant from the Holy Spirit.

²⁰ But when he was contemplating these things, behold, a messenger of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary to you, as your wife for what was born in her is from the Holy Spirit. ²¹ Now she will be bearing a son, and you will call his name Jesus, for he will be saving his people from their sins.

²³ ‘Behold, the virgin will be pregnant, and will be bearing a son, and they will call his name Immanuel'; which is, after being translated, ‘God with us.’

⁴ Now Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was out of the house and family of David; ⁵ to register himself together with Mary, who has been engaged to him as his wife, being pregnant.

²⁴ Blessed above women will Jael be, the wife of Heber the Kenite. Blessed will she be above women in the tent.

¹² And the messenger of Jehovah appeared to him and said to him, Jehovah is with you, you mighty man of valor.

²⁹ Many daughters have done worthily, but you excel them all. ³⁰ Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears Jehovah, she will be praised.
³¹ Give her of the fruit of her hands and let her works praise her in the gates.

⁵ Do not fear, for I am with you. I will bring your seed from the east and gather you from the west.

¹⁸ For, behold, I have made you this day a fortified city and an iron pillar and brazen walls, against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the rulers of it, against the priests of it and against the people of the land.
¹⁹ And they will fight against you. But they will not prevail against you, for I am with you, says Jehovah, to deliver you.

¹⁹ And he said, O man are a great delight, do not fear. Peace be to you. Be strong, yes, be strong. And when he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.

² Take with you* words and return to Jehovah. Say to him, Take away all iniquity and accept what is good. So we will render as bullocks the offering of our lips.

⁴⁸ But he answered and said to the one who spoke to him, Who is my mother? And who are my brethren?

⁴² and she shouted out with a loud voice and said, You have been blessed among women, and the fruit of your womb has been blessed.

²⁷ Now it happened, while he said these things, a certain woman out of the crowd lifted up her voice and said to him, The womb bearing you, and the breasts which you nursed, are fortunate.
²⁸ But he said, But-rather, those who hear the word of God and are observing it, are fortunate.

¹⁰ because I am with you and no one will be laying a hand on you to mistreat you, because there are many people in this city believing in me.

⁶ to the praise of the glory of his favor, in which he has favored us in the beloved,

¹³ And Gideon said to him, Oh, my lord, if Jehovah is with us, then why has all this befallen us? And where are all his wondrous works which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not Jehovah bring us up from Egypt? But now Jehovah has cast us off and delivered us into the hand of Midian.
¹⁴ And Jehovah looked upon him and said, Go in this your might and save Israel from the hand of Midian. Have I not sent you? ¹⁵ And he said to him, Oh, Lord, with what shall I save Israel? Behold, my family is the poorest in Manasseh and I am the least in my father's house.

²⁰ And as for your donkeys that were lost three days ago, do not set your mind on them, for they are found. And for whom is all that is desirable in Israel? Is it not for you and for all your father's house? ²¹ And Saul answered and said, Am I not a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? And my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? Why then do you speak to me according to this manner?

⁴⁹ But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they thought it to be an apparition and cried out; ⁵⁰ for they all saw him and were disturbed. But immediately, he spoke with them, and says to them, Have courage. I am here. Do not be afraid.

⁵ And entering into the tomb, they saw a young-man sitting at the right side, having been dressed in a white robe, and they were utterly amazed. ⁶ Now he says to them, Do not be utterly amazed. You are seeking Jesus, the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He was raised. He is not here. Behold, the place where they laid him.

¹² And Zacharias, having seen him, was disturbed, and fear fell upon him.

⁶⁶ And all who heard them placed them in their heart, saying, What then will this child be? And the hand of the Lord was with him.

¹⁹ But Mary was keeping all these words to herself, pondering them in her heart.

⁵¹ And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and he was being subject to them and his mother was keeping all these words in her heart.

¹⁷ Now as Peter was perplexed in himself what the vision which he had seen might be. And behold, the men who had been sent from Cornelius, having made inquiry for Simon’s house, stood at the gate,

¹⁰ Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

¹⁴ Do not fear, you worm Jacob and you* men of Israel. I will help you, says Jehovah and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

¹ But now Jehovah says thus who created you, O Jacob and he who formed you, O Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name, You are mine. ² When you pass through the waters, I will be with you and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, nor will the flame kindle upon you.
³ For I am Jehovah your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I have given Egypt as your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your stead. ⁴ Since you have been precious in my sight and honorable and I have loved you, therefore I will give men instead of you and peoples instead of your life.

² Jehovah says thus who made you and formed you from the womb, who will help you: Do not fear, O Jacob my servant and you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.

³² Do not fear, little flock, because your Father was delighted to give you the kingdom.

⁹ Now the Lord said to Paul through a vision in the night, Do not be afraid, but speak out and do not be silent, ¹⁰ because I am with you and no one will be laying a hand on you to mistreat you, because there are many people in this city believing in me.

²⁴ saying, Do not fear, Paul; it is essential for you to stand-before Caesar and behold, God has granted to you all those who are sailing with you.

³¹ Therefore what will we say to these things? If God is working on our behalf, who is against us?

⁶ So-that we, being courageous, may say, The Lord is my helper and I will not be fearing. What will man be doing for me?

²⁵ and did not know her intimately until she bore her firstborn son, and he called his name Jesus.

²⁷ to a virgin who has been engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, from the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary.

⁴ But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born out of a woman, born under the law,

¹¹ and as from the day that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel and I will cause you to rest from all your enemies. Moreover Jehovah tells you that Jehovah will make you a house. ¹² When your days are fulfilled and you will sleep with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who will proceed out of your guts and I will establish his kingdom. ¹³ He will build a house for my name and I will establish the throne of his kingdom until everlasting.

¹⁶ And your house and your kingdom will be made sure forever before you; your throne will be established until everlasting.

¹¹ Jehovah has sworn to David in truth. He will not turn from it: From the fruit of your body I will set upon your throne.

⁶ For to us a child is born, to us a son is given. And the government will be upon his shoulder. And his name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace.
⁷ Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from hereafter until everlasting. The zeal of Jehovah of hosts will perform this.

⁵ And a throne will be established in loving kindness and he will sit on it in truth, in the tent of David, judging and seeking justice and swift to do righteousness.

⁵ Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch and he will reign as king and deal wisely and will execute justice and righteousness in the land. ⁶ In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will dwell safely. And this is his name by which he will be called: Jehovah our righteousness.

¹⁵ In those days and at that time, I will cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up to David and he will execute justice and righteousness in the land. ¹⁶ In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will dwell safely. And this is the name whereby she will be called: Jehovah our righteousness.
¹⁷ For Jehovah says thus: David will never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel,

²² The lord Jehovah says thus: I will also take of the lofty top of the cedar and will set it. I will crop off a tender one from the topmost of its offshoots and I will plant it upon a high and lofty mountain. ²³ I will plant it in the mountain of the height of Israel and it will bring forth branches and bear fruit and be a majestic cedar. And all birds of every wing will dwell under it; they will dwell in the shade of the branches of it.
²⁴ And all the trees of the field will know that I, Jehovah, have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree and have made the dry tree to flourish. I, Jehovah, have spoken and have done it.

²³ And I will set up one shepherd over them and he will feed them, even my servant David. He will feed them and he will be their shepherd. ²⁴ And I, Jehovah, will be their God and my servant David ruler among them. I, Jehovah, have spoken it.

²⁴ And my servant David will be king over them and they all will have one shepherd. They will also walk in my ordinances and observe my statutes and do them. ²⁵ And they will dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob my servant, in which your* fathers dwelt. And they will dwell in it, they and their sons and their son's sons, everlasting. And David my servant will be their ruler everlasting.

¹¹ In that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David that has fallen and close up the breaches of it. And I will raise up its ruins and I will build it as in the days of old, ¹² that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations that are called by my name, says Jehovah who does this.

The book of lineage of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham:

¹¹ I indeed immerse you in water toward repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not sufficient to bear. He will immerse you in the Holy Spirit;

⁴² The queen of the south will be arisen with this generation in the judgment and will be condemning it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, more-than Solomon is here.

¹⁸ And Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to me in heaven and upon earth.

⁷ and crying out with a loud voice, he said, What is this thing with me and with you, Jesus, Son of the Highest God? I am imploring you by God, do^\'b0 not torment me.

⁶¹ But he was silent and answered nothing. Again the high-priest asked him and said to him, Are you the Christ, the Son of the Gracious One?

¹⁵ For he will be great in the Lord’s sight, and he may never drink wine or liquor, and he will be filled more with the Holy Spirit even from his mother’s womb.

³⁵ And the messenger answered and said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Highest will be overshadowing you; hence the holy one being born out of you will also be called the Son of God.

¹⁶ John answered, saying to them all, I indeed immerse you in water, but the mightier one than I is coming, the strap of whose shoes I am not sufficient to loose. He will immerse you in the Holy Spirit, and in fire;

³⁵ However, love^*\'b0 your enemies and do good things for them and lend, hoping for nothing again. And your reward will be much, and you will be sons of the Highest, because he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.

³⁵ The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand. ³⁶ He who believes in the Son has everlasting life, but he who is disobedient to the Son will not be seeing life, but the wrath of God is remaining upon him.

²¹ For just-like the Father raises up the dead and is giving-life to them, so the Son also is giving-life to whom he wills. ²² For the Father is judging no one, but has given all judgment to the Son; ²³ in order that all may honor the Son, just-as they are honoring the Father. He who is not honoring the Son, is not honoring the Father who sent him.
²⁴ Assuredly, assuredly, I am saying to you, He who hears my word and believes in the one who sent me, has everlasting life, and is not coming into judgment, but has stepped out of death into the life.
²⁵ Assuredly, assuredly, I am saying to you, The hour is coming and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. ²⁶ For just-like the Father has life in himself, so he also gave to the Son, to have life in himself, ²⁷ and he also gave authority to him to make judgment, because he is a son of man. ²⁸ Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all who are in the tombs will be hearing his voice, ²⁹ and will travel out; those who have practiced good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment.

⁶⁹ And we have believed and have known that you are the Christ the Son of the living God.

³⁴ The crowd answered him, We have heard out of the law that the Christ remains forever and how do you say, It is essential for the Son of Man to be exalted? Who is this Son of Man?

³⁰ Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that from the fruit of his loins, to raise up the Christ according to the flesh to sit upon his throne.

³⁶ Therefore, let all the house of Israel know with certainty, that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.

⁴⁸ But the Highest is not dwelling in temples made with hands; just-as the prophet says,

¹⁷ This maidservant was crying out, having followed after Paul and us, saying, These men are bondservants of the Highest God, who are proclaiming to us the way of salvation.

⁴ who has been determined as being the Son of God in power, according to the spirit of holiness, out of the resurrection of the dead), Jesus Christ our Lord.

²⁰ which he worked in the Christ, having raised him up from the dead and seated him by his right hand in the heavenly places, ²¹ up above all rule and authority and power and lordship and every name that is being named, not only in this age, but also in the future age. \ulnone\nosupersub ²² And he subjected all things under his feet and gave him to be head above all things to the congregation of believers, ²³ which is his body, the fullness of the one who fills all in all.

⁹ Hence, God also highly exalted him, and granted to him the name which is above every name; ¹⁰ in order that every knee should bow in the name of Jesus, those from the heavenly and earthly and subterranean places, ¹¹ and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

² whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the ages. ³ It is he who, being the brightness of his glory and the exact representation of his essence, and is carrying all things by his declaration of power. Having made a cleansing of our sins through himself, he sat down by the right hand of the Majesty in the high place; ⁴ having become so-much better than the messengers, inasmuch as he has inherited a more excellent name than they.
⁵ For to which of the messengers has he previously said, ‘You are my Son; I have fathered you today.’? And again, ‘I will be a Father to him and he will be for Son to me.’? ⁶ And again, whenever he brought the firstborn into the inhabited-earth, he says, ‘And let all the messengers of God worship him.’ ⁷ And he indeed says toward the messengers, ‘Who makes his messengers, spirits, and his ministers, a flame of fire.’ ⁸ But he says toward the Son, ‘Your throne, O God, is forevermore; the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom.

⁷ And write to the messenger of the congregation in Philadelphia:
He (the holy one, the true one, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will lock, except he who opens and no one will open) says these things:

⁶ Your throne, O God, is everlasting and forever. A scepter of straightness is the scepter of your kingdom.

³⁵ I have sworn once by my holiness; I will not lie to David. ³⁶ His seed will endure everlasting and his throne as the sun before me. ³⁷ It will be established everlasting as the moon and as the faithful witness in the sky. Selah.

⁴⁴ And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will the sovereignty of it be left to another people, but it will break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms and it will stand forever.

¹³ I saw in the night visions, and behold, there came with the clouds of heaven someone like a son of man. And he came even to the ancient of days and they brought him near before him.
¹⁴ And there was given him dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations and languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which will not pass away and his kingdom is one that will not be destroyed.

¹⁸ But the holy ones of the Most High will receive the kingdom and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and forever.

²⁷ And the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, will be given to the people of the holy ones of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and all dominions will serve and obey him.

²¹ And saviors will come up on Mount Zion to judge the mountain of Esau and the kingdom will be Jehovah's.

⁷ And I will make what was lame a remnant and what was cast far off a strong nation. And Jehovah will reign over them in Mount Zion from now and until everlasting.

⁶ But it is not such-as that the word of God has fallen short. For they are not all Israel, (those who are from Israel);

²⁴ Thereafter is the end, whenever he gives up the kingdom to the God and Father; whenever he does-away-with all rule and all authority and power. ²⁵ For it is essential for him to reign, till whenever, he should place all his enemies under his feet.

²⁹ But if you are Christ’s, you are also Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise.

¹⁶ And as many as will be marching by this standard, peace is upon them and mercy and upon the Israel of God.

³ For we are the circumcision, who are giving-divine service in the spirit of God, and boast in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh;

⁸ But he says toward the Son, ‘Your throne, O God, is forevermore; the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom.

¹⁵ And the seventh messenger sounded, and there became loud voices in heaven saying, The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ and he will be reigning forevermore.

⁴ And I saw thrones and they sat upon them and judgment was given to them and I saw the souls of those who have been decapitated because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God and those who did not worship the beast, nor his image and did not receive the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand, and they lived and reigned with Christ the thousand years. ⁵ And the rest of the dead did not live till the thousand years might be completed. This is the first resurrection. ⁶ The fortunate and holy one is the one who has part in the first resurrection; the second death has no authority over these, but they will be priests of God and of the Christ and will be reigning with him a thousand years.

³ And every curse will be not be there anymore and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it. And his bondservants will be giving-divine service to him; ⁴ and they will see his face, and his name will be upon their foreheads. ⁵ And there will be no night there, and they do not need a lamp or a light, because the Lord God will be illuminating them and they will be reigning forevermore.

⁸ Then Manoah entreated Jehovah and said, Oh, Lord, I beseech you, let the man of God whom you sent come again to us and teach us what we will do to the child that will be born. ⁹ And God listened to the voice of Manoah and the messenger of God came again to the woman as she sat in the field, but Manoah her husband was not with her. ¹⁰ And the woman made haste and ran and told her husband and said to him, Behold, the man has appeared to me, who came to me the other day.
¹¹ And Manoah arose and went after his wife and came to the man and said to him, Are you the man who spoke to the woman? And he said, I am. ¹² And Manoah said, Now let your words happen. What will be the ordering of the child and what will we do to him?

⁶ And trembling and amazed, he said, What do you wish me to do?
And the Lord said to him, But stand up and enter into the city and it will be spoken to you what it is essential for you to do.

⁴ Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? Not one.

¹⁶ How much less one who is abominable and morally-corrupt, a man who drinks unrighteousness like water!

⁴ How then can man be just with God? Or how can he be clean who is born of a woman?

⁷ I will tell of the decree. Jehovah said to me, You are my Son, this day I have fathered you.

⁵ Behold, I was brought out in iniquity and my mother conceived me in sin.

²⁰ But when he was contemplating these things, behold, a messenger of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary to you, as your wife for what was born in her is from the Holy Spirit.

³ And the Tempter came and said to him, If you are the Son of God, speak, in order that these stones may become bread.

³³ Now those in the ship came to him and, worshiped him, saying, You are truly the Son of God.

⁶³ But Jesus was silent. And the high-priest answered and said to him, I implore you by the living God, in order that you should tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God?
⁶⁴ Jesus said to him, You have said so. However I am saying to you, From now on, you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming upon the clouds of heaven.

⁵⁴ Now the centurion and those guarding Jesus with him, having seen the earthquake and the things which happened, were extremely afraid, saying, This one truly was the Son of God.

²⁴ saying, Ah! What is it to us and to you, Jesus the Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know you, I know who you are, the Holy One of God.

³¹ And behold, you will conceive in your womb and will be bearing a son and will call his name Jesus. ³² He will be great and will be called the Son of the Highest and the Lord God will be giving to him the throne of his father David,

⁴⁹ Nathanael answered and says to him, Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel.

³⁶ Now as they were traveling down the road, they came to a some water, and the eunuch says, Behold, here is water; what is preventing me from being immersed? \super{T}

²⁰ I have been crucified together with Christ. I am now no longer living, but Christ is living in me and that life which I am now living in the flesh, I am living in faith, the faith which is of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up on my behalf.

³ among whom we also all conducted ourselves previously in the lusts of our flesh, practicing the wills of the flesh and of the mind and we were children of wrath by nature, even as the rest.

¹⁵ For we do not have a high-priest who is unable to sympathize together with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted according to all things according to our likeness, yet without sin.

²⁶ For such a high-priest was suitable to us, holy, guiltless, undefiled, has been separated away from sinners and became exalted from the heavens; ²⁷ who has no necessity every day to offer up sacrifices just-like the high-priests, (beforehand on behalf of their own sins), and thereafter for those of the people; for he did this once for all, having offered up himself. ²⁸ For the law designates men as high-priests, who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which was after the law, appoints a Son, having been completed forever.

²³ And Jehovah said to Moses, Is Jehovah's hand grown short? Now you will see whether my word will happen to you or not.

² What you* know, I also know; I am not inferior to you*.

¹⁷ Ah lord Jehovah! Behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for you,

²⁷ Behold, I am Jehovah, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?

⁶ Jehovah of hosts says thus: If it is marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in those days, should it also be marvelous in my eyes? says Jehovah of hosts.

²⁶ But Jesus, looked at them and said to them, This is impossible with men, but all things are possible with God.

²⁷ But Jesus, having looked at them, says, It is impossible with men, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.

²⁷ But he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

²¹ He will fashion the body of our humbleness, that it may become transformed to the body of his glory, according to the working of which he is able to even subject all things to himself.

²⁵ And now, O Jehovah God, the word that you have spoken concerning your servant and concerning his house, confirm it until everlasting and do as you have spoken. ²⁶ And let your name be magnified until everlasting, saying, Jehovah of hosts is God over Israel and the house of your servant David will be established before you. ²⁷ For you, O Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, have revealed to your servant, saying, I will build you a house. Therefore your servant has found in his heart to pray this prayer to you.
²⁸ And now, O lord Jehovah, you are God and your words are truth and you have promised this good thing to your servant. ²⁹ Now therefore let it please you to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue everlasting before you, for you, O lord Jehovah, have spoken it. And with your blessing let the house of your servant be blessed forever.

¹⁶ O Jehovah, truly I am your servant. I am your servant, the son of your handmaid. You have loosed my bonds.

³⁸ Confirm to your servant your word, which is for the fear of you.

²⁰ But he did not doubt through unbelief at the promise of God, but became empowered through faith, having given glory to God, ²¹ and being fully assured that what he has promised; he is able also to do.

⁴⁰ So Joshua killed* all the land, the hill-country and the South and the lowland and the slopes and all their kings. He left none remaining, but he utterly destroyed all that breathed, as Jehovah, the God of Israel, commanded.

⁴⁸ And in the hill-country, Shamir and Jattir and Socoh, ⁴⁹ and Dannah and Kiriath-sannah (what is Debir), ⁵⁰ and Anab and Eshtemoh and Anim, ⁵¹ and Goshen and Holon and Giloh; eleven cities with their villages. ⁵² Arab and Dumah and Eshan, ⁵³ and Janim and Beth-tappuah and Aphekah, ⁵⁴ and Humtah and Kiriath-arba (what is Hebron) and Zior; nine cities with their villages. ⁵⁵ Maon, Carmel and Ziph and Juttah, ⁵⁶ and Jezreel and Jokdeam and Zanoah, ⁵⁷ Kain, Gibeah and Timnah; ten cities with their villages. ⁵⁸ Halhul, Beth-zur and Gedor, ⁵⁹ and Maarath and Beth-anoth and Eltekon; six cities with their villages.

⁷ And they set apart Kedesh in Galilee in the hill-country of Naphtali and Shechem in the hill-country of Ephraim and Kiriath-arba (what is Hebron) in the hill-country of Judah.

⁹ And they gave out of the tribe of the sons of Judah and out of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, these cities which are here mentioned by name, ¹⁰ and they were for the sons of Aaron, of the Kohathite families, who were of the sons of Levi, for theirs was the first lot. ¹¹ And they gave them Kiriath-arba, Arba was the father of Anak (what is Hebron), in the hill-country of Judah, with the suburbs of it all around it.

⁶⁵ And fear became upon all those dwelling around them and all these declarations were being talked-about in the whole hill-country of Judea.

²² And the children struggled together within her. And she said, If it is so, why am I this way? And she went to inquire of Jehovah.

¹⁰ I was cast upon you from the womb. You are my God since my mother bore me.

⁴⁴ For behold, as the voice of your greeting came into my ears, the baby jumped in my womb in gladness.

⁶⁷ And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied, saying,

¹ Now full of the Holy Spirit, Jesus returned from the Jordan, and was being led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

⁸ Then Peter, having been filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, You rulers of the people and elders of Israel,

³ Therefore brethren, elect out of you seven men well testified of, full of the Holy Spirit and of wisdom, whom we might designate over this need.

⁵⁵ But possessing the full ness of the Holy Spirit, he stared into heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing at the right hand of God,

¹⁰ I became in the spirit on the Lord’s day and I heard behind me a loud voice, like that of a trumpet

¹⁸ and in your seed will all the nations of the earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice.

⁶ Because you make him to be blessing forever. You rejoiced over him with joy in your presence.

² You are fairer than the sons of men. Favor is poured into your lips. Therefore God has blessed you everlasting.

¹⁷ His name will endure everlasting. His name will be continued as long as the sun. And men will call him fortunate. All nations will call him fortunate.
¹⁸ Praise Jehovah God, the God of Israel, who alone does wondrous things. ¹⁹ And praise his glorious name everlasting. And let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Truly and Truly.

⁴⁸ Because he has looked upon the humbleness of his bondservant; for behold, from hereafter all generations will esteem me fortunate.

³⁸ saying, The King who is coming in the name of the Lord has been blessed; peace in heaven and glory in the highest.

²⁶ Because of this, my heart was joyous and my tongue was glad. Now my flesh will also reside in hope; ²⁷ because you will not forsake my soul to Hades, neither will you give your Holy One to see decay. ²⁸ You made known to me the ways of life. You will fill me with joy with your countenance.’

⁵ whose are the fathers and from whom is the Christ according to the flesh, who is over all: God is gracious forever. Amen.

² Looking away from things, look toward Jesus, the author and completer of the faith, who endured the cross having despised shame, in exchange-for the joy laying before him, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

¹⁰ Then she fell on her face and bowed herself to the ground and said to him, Why have I found favor in your sight that you should take knowledge of me, seeing I am a foreigner?

⁴¹ And she arose and bowed herself with her face to the earth and said, Behold, your handmaid is a servant to wash the feet of the servants of my lord.

¹ Jehovah says to my Lord, Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool.

¹⁴ But John was preventing him, saying, I have need to be immersed by you and you are coming to me?

¹¹ because there was born to you today in the city of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

⁷ Hence, not even I myself deemed it worthy to come to you, but say it with a word, and my young-servant will be healed.

⁴² And David himself says in the book of Psalms, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand, ⁴³ until I should place your enemies as the footstool of your feet. ⁴⁴ Therefore, David calls him Lord, and so how is he his son?

⁵ Thereafter he puts water into the washbasin and began to wash the disciples’feet and to wipe them with the towel in which he was girded.
⁶ Therefore, he comes to Simon Peter and that man says to him, Lord, why are you washing my feet?
⁷ Jesus answered and said to him, What I do you do not know now, but you will know after these things.
⁸ Peter says to him, Never wash my feet.
Jesus answered him, If I do not wash you, you have no part with me.

¹³ You address me as the Teacher and, Lord, and you say well; for so I am.

²⁸ And Thomas answered and said to him, My Lord and my God!

³ (nothing according to selfish ambition or through empty conceit, but in humility): deeming one another superior to yourselves;

⁸ But therefore, I am also deeming all things indeed to be a forfeiture because of the superiority of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, because of whom, I forfeited all things, and am deeming them to be but trash, in order that I may gain Christ,

²⁰ And they rose early in the morning and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa. And as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah and you* inhabitants of Jerusalem. Believe in Jehovah your* God, so you* will be established. Believe his prophets, so you* will prosper.

²⁰ And behold, you will be silent and not able to speak, till the day that these things should happen, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their time.

⁴⁰ Jesus says to her, Did I not say to you, that, if you believed, you will be seeing the glory of God?

²⁹ Jesus says to him, Because you have seen me, you have believed, but the fortunate ones have not seen and yet have believed.

¹ And Hannah prayed and said, My heart rejoices in Jehovah. My heart is exalted in Jehovah. My mouth is enlarged over my enemies because I rejoice in your salvation. ² There is none holy as Jehovah, for there is none besides you, neither is there any rock like our God.
³ Talk no more so very proudly. Do not let arrogance come out of your* mouth, for Jehovah is a God of knowledge and by him actions are weighed. ⁴ The bows of the mighty men are broken and those who stumbled are girded with strength. ⁵ Those who were full have hired out themselves for bread and those who were hungry have ceased to hunger. Yes, the barren has borne seven and she who has many sons languishes.
⁶ Jehovah kills and makes alive. He brings down to Sheol and brings up. ⁷ Jehovah makes poor and makes rich. He brings low, he also lifts up. ⁸ He raises up the poor out of the dust, he lifts up the needy from the dunghill, to make them sit with rulers and inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are Jehovah's and he has set the world upon them. ⁹ He will keep the feet of his holy ones, but the wicked will be put to silence in darkness, for by strength no man will prevail.
¹⁰ Those who contend with Jehovah will be broken to pieces. He will thunder against them in heaven. Jehovah will judge the ends of the earth and he will give strength to his king and exalt the horn of his anointed.

² My soul will make its boast in Jehovah. The humble will hear of it and be glad. ³ O magnify Jehovah with me and let us exalt his name together.

⁹ And my soul will be joyful in Jehovah. It will rejoice in his salvation.

¹ Praise Jehovah, O my soul and all that is within me, praise his holy name.
² Praise Jehovah, O my soul and do not forget all his benefits,

¹⁵ Therefore glorify you* Jehovah in the east, even the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel, in the isles of the sea. ¹⁶ From the outermost part of the earth we have heard songs. Glory to the righteous.
But I said, I pine away, I pine away. Woe is me! The treacherous have dealt treacherously, yes, the treacherous have dealt very treacherously.

²⁵ In Jehovah all the seed of Israel will be justified and will glory.

¹⁰ I will greatly rejoice in Jehovah. My soul will be joyful in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation. He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

¹⁷ For though the fig tree will not flourish, nor will fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive will fail and the fields will yield no food; the flock will be cut off from the fold and there will be no herd in the stalls; ¹⁸ yet I will rejoice in Jehovah. I will joy in the God of my salvation.

¹¹ and not only so, but we are also boasting in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

³¹ that, just-as it has been written, ‘He who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.’

¹⁴ Now gratitude to God, who always makes us to triumph in the Christ and the aroma of his knowledge in every place is manifest through us.

⁴ Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, Rejoice.

⁸ You love whom you have not seen; now you believe in whom you do not see; in both you are glad with unspeakable and glorified joy;

² Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust and will not be afraid, for Jehovah, even Jehovah, is my strength and song and he has become my salvation. ³ Therefore with joy you* will draw water out of the wells of salvation.

²¹ Declare and bring it forth. Yes, let them take counsel together. Who has shown this from long-ago? Who has declared it long since? Have not I, Jehovah? And there is no other God besides me, a just God and a Savior. There is none besides me. ²² Look to me and be you* saved, all the ends of the earth, for I am God and there is none else.

¹⁸ yet I will rejoice in Jehovah. I will joy in the God of my salvation.

¹⁴ Sing, O daughter of Zion. Shout, O Israel. Be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem. ¹⁵ Jehovah has taken away your judgments. He has cast out your enemy. The King of Israel, even Jehovah, is in the midst of you. You will not fear evil any more.
¹⁶ In that day it will be said to Jerusalem, Do not fear, O Zion. Do not let your hands be slack. ¹⁷ Jehovah your God is in the midst of you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will rest in his love. He will joy over you with singing.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion. Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem. Behold, your king comes to you. He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding upon a donkey, even upon a colt the foal of a donkey.

¹ Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the commandment of God our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, our hope;

³ For this is good and acceptable in God our Savior’s sight;

³ But in his own seasons, he manifested his word in the preaching in which I was entrusted, according to the commandment of God our Savior.

¹⁰ not pilfering things, but showing all good faith fulness; in order that they may adorn the teaching of God our Savior in all things.

¹³ waiting for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ;

⁴ But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love of mankind had appeared: ⁵ he saved us (not from any works done in righteousness, which we practiced), but according to his mercy, through the full-washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, ⁶ which he poured out upon us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior;

²⁵ to the only wise God our Savior, is the glory and majesty, dominion and authority, both now and forever. Amen.

¹⁸ Then David the king went in and sat before Jehovah. And he said, Who am I, O lord Jehovah and what is my house, that you have brought me thus far? ¹⁹ And this was yet a small thing in your eyes, O lord Jehovah, but you have spoken also of your servant's house for a great while to come and this too according to the manner of men, O lord Jehovah!

¹⁷ He has regarded the prayer of the destitute and has not despised their prayer.

⁷ He raises up a poor man out of the dust and lifts up a needy man from the dunghill, ⁸ that he may set him with rulers, even with the rulers of his people.

²³ who remembered us in our low estate, for his loving kindness is everlasting,

⁶ Because Jehovah is high, yet he has respect to the lowly. But he knows the haughty from afar.

² For all these things my hand has made and all these things came to be, says Jehovah.
But to this man I will look, even to him who is poor and of a crushed spirit and who trembles at my word.

¹² And all nations will call you* fortunate, for you* will be a delightful land, says Jehovah of hosts.

²⁷ Now it happened, while he said these things, a certain woman out of the crowd lifted up her voice and said to him, The womb bearing you, and the breasts which you nursed, are fortunate.

²⁶ For you see your calling brethren, that not many are wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble. ²⁷ But God chose the foolish things of the world, in order that he might shame the wise, and God chose the weak things of the world, in order that he might shame the strong; ²⁸ and God chose the ignoble things of the world and the things which have been scorned and the things which are not, in order that he might do-away-with the things which are;

⁵ Listen, my beloved brethren. Did God not choose the poor of the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which he promised to those who love him? ⁶ But you have dishonored the poor. Are the rich not oppressing you? And are they themselves not dragging you into the courts?

¹¹ Who is like you, O Jehovah, among the gods? Who is like you, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

² There is none holy as Jehovah, for there is none besides you, neither is there any rock like our God.

⁸ Who is the King of glory? Jehovah strong and mighty; Jehovah mighty in battle.

¹⁹ Your righteousness also, O God, is very high, you who have done great things. O God, who is like you? ²⁰ You, who have shown us many and great troubles, will revive us again and will bring us up again from the depths of the earth. ²¹ Increase my greatness and turn again and comfort me.

³ Let them praise your great and awesome name. Holy is he.

⁹ Exalt Jehovah our God and worship at his holy hill. Because Jehovah our God is holy.

⁹ He has sent redemption to his people. He has commanded his everlasting covenant. Holy and reverend is his name.

² Then our mouth was filled with laughter and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, Jehovah has done great things for them. ³ Jehovah has done great things for us. We are glad.

²⁴ Therefore says the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of my adversaries and avenge me of my enemies.

³ And one cried to another and said, Holy, holy, holy, is Jehovah of hosts. The whole earth is full of his glory.

¹⁵ For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, also with him who is of a crushed and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the crushed.

¹ Who is this who comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah, this who is glorious in his apparel, marching in the greatness of his strength? I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.

⁶ There is none like you, O Jehovah. You are great and your name is great in might.

¹¹ But Jehovah is with me as an awesome mighty one. Therefore my persecutors will stumble and they will not prevail. They will be utterly put to shame, because they have not dealt wisely, even with an everlasting dishonor which will never be forgotten.

¹³ And Jesus immediately permitted them. And the unclean spirits came out, and entered into the swine and the herd rushed down the cliff into the sea. Now they were approximately two thousand, and they were choking in the sea.

²⁰ Now to the one who is able to do, exceptionally beyond all things, what we are asking or are perceiving, according to the power which is working in us,

⁸ And the four living creatures, one by one, having six wings apiece, are full of eyes inside and surrounding, and they have no rest day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is coming.

⁴ Who should never fear you, Lord, and should glorify your name? Because only you are holy, because all the nations will be coming and will be worshiping in your sight, because your righteousnesses were manifested.

⁷ And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your seed after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and to your seed after you.

⁶ and showing loving kindness to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.

⁶ And Jehovah passed by before him and proclaimed, Jehovah, Jehovah, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in loving kindness and truth, ⁷ keeping loving kindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin and who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons and upon the sons' sons, upon the third and upon the fourth generation.

¹⁹ O how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for those who fear you, which you have worked for those who take refuge in you before the sons of men!

⁹ Surely his salvation is near those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.

¹¹ Because as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his loving kindness toward those who fear him.

¹⁷ But the loving kindness of Jehovah is from everlasting to everlasting upon those who fear him and his righteousness to son's sons, ¹⁸ to such as keep his covenant and to those who remember his precepts to do them.

¹³ He will bless those who fear Jehovah, both small and great.

⁴ Let those now who fear Jehovah say that his loving kindness is everlasting.

¹⁹ He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him. He also will hear their cry and will save them.

¹¹ Jehovah takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his loving kindness.

¹⁶ Then those who feared Jehovah spoke one with another and Jehovah listened and heard and a book of remembrance was written before him, for those who feared Jehovah and who thought upon his name. ¹⁷ And they will be mine, says Jehovah of hosts, my own possession, in the day that I make. And I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves him. ¹⁸ Then you* will return and discern between the righteous man and the wicked man, between he who serves God and he who does not serve him.

⁵ And a voice came forth from the throne, saying, Praise our God, all his bondservants, and those who fear him, the little and the great.

⁵ And Jehovah saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only continually evil.

²¹ And Jehovah smelled the sweet aroma. And Jehovah said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for the sake of man, because the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth. I will not again kill* everything living, as I have done.

⁶ Your right hand, O Jehovah, is glorious in power. Your right hand, O Jehovah, dashes the enemy in pieces. ⁷ And in the greatness of your excellency you overthrow those who rise up against you. You send forth your wrath, it consumes them as stubble.

⁹ The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil, my desire will be satisfied upon them. I will draw my sword, my hand will destroy them. ¹⁰ You did blow with your wind, the sea covered them. They sank as lead in the mighty waters.
¹¹ Who is like you, O Jehovah, among the gods? Who is like you, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? ¹² You stretched out your right hand, the earth swallowed them. ¹³ You in your loving kindness have led the people that you have redeemed. You have guided them in your strength to your holy habitation.

¹¹ Now I know that Jehovah is greater than all gods, yes, in the thing in which they dealt proudly against them.

³⁴ Or has God ever tried to go and take for him a nation from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs and by wonders and by war and by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm and by great terrors, according to all that Jehovah your* God did for you* in Egypt before your* eyes?

¹⁹ and it happens, when he hears the words of this curse, that he graces himself in his heart, saying, I will have peace, though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart, to destroy the moist with the dry.
²⁰ Jehovah will not pardon him, but then the anger of Jehovah and his jealousy will smoke against that man and all the curse that is written in this book will lie upon him and Jehovah will blot out his name from under heaven.

³ Talk no more so very proudly. Do not let arrogance come out of your* mouth, for Jehovah is a God of knowledge and by him actions are weighed. ⁴ The bows of the mighty men are broken and those who stumbled are girded with strength.

⁹ Or have you an arm like God? And can you thunder with a voice like him? ¹⁰ Deck yourself now with excellency and dignity and array yourself with honor and majesty. ¹¹ Pour forth the overflowing of your anger and look upon everyone who is proud and humble him.
¹² Look on everyone who is proud, and bring him low and tread down the wicked where they stand.

¹ Why do the nations rage and the peoples meditate vain things? ² The kings of the earth set themselves and the rulers take counsel together, against Jehovah and against his anointed, saying, ³ Let us break their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.
⁴ He who sits in the heavens will laugh. The Lord will mock them. ⁵ Then he will speak to them in his wrath and distress them in his great displeasure.
⁶ Yet I have set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

¹⁰ Jehovah brings the counsel of the nations to nothing. He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.

⁹ I will give you thanks everlasting, because you have done it. And I will hope in your name in the presence of your holy ones, because it is good.

⁵ My soul will be satisfied as with marrow and fatness. And my mouth will praise you with joyful lips

¹⁰ You have broken Rahab in pieces, as a wounded man. You have scattered your enemies with the arm of your strength.

¹³ You have a mighty arm. Strong is your hand and high is your right hand.

¹ O sing to Jehovah a new song, because he has done marvelous things. His right hand and his holy arm, has worked salvation for him.

¹⁵ The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous.
The right hand of Jehovah does valiantly.

¹² Therefore it will happen, that, when the Lord has performed his whole work upon Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria and the glory of his high looks.
¹³ For he has said, I have done it by the strength of my hand and by my wisdom, for I have understanding. And I have removed the bounds of the peoples and have robbed their treasures. And like a valiant man I have brought down those who sit on thrones. ¹⁴ And my hand has found as a nest the riches of the peoples. And like a gathering of eggs that are forsaken, I have gathered all the earth. And there was none that moved the wing, or that opened the mouth, or chirped.
¹⁵ Shall the axe boast itself against he who hews with it? Shall the saw magnify itself against he who wields it? As if a rod should wield those who lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up he who is not wood.
¹⁶ Therefore will the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, send among his fat ones, leanness and under his glory there will be kindled a burning like the burning of fire. ¹⁷ And the light of Israel will be for a fire and his Holy One for a flame and it will burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day. ¹⁸ And he will consume the glory of his forest and of his fruitful field, both soul and body. And it will be as when a standard-bearer faints. ¹⁹ And the remnant of the trees of his forest will be few, so that a child may write them.

¹⁰ Behold, the lord Jehovah will come as a mighty one and his arm will rule for him. Behold, his reward is with him and his recompense before him.

⁹ Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of Jehovah. Awake, as in the days of long-ago, the generations of everlasting. Is it not you who cut Rahab in pieces, who pierced the monster?

¹⁰ Jehovah has made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations and all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

¹² who caused his glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses, who divided the waters before them, to make himself an everlasting name,

²⁹ We have heard of the pride of Moab, that he is very proud, his loftiness and his pride and his arrogance and the haughtiness of his heart. ³⁰ I know his wrath, says Jehovah, that it is nothing. His boastings have worked nothing.

³⁷ Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are truth and his ways justice. And he is able to humble those who walk in pride.

²⁵ And this is the writing that was inscribed: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.
²⁶ This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE, God has numbered your kingdom and brought it to an end. ²⁷ TEKEL, you are weighed in the balances and are found wanting. ²⁸ PERES, your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians.
²⁹ Then Belshazzar commanded and they clothed Daniel with purple and put a chain of gold about his neck and made proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.
³⁰ In that night Belshazzar the Chaldean King was slain. ³¹ And Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about sixty-two years old.

²¹ because having known God, they did not glorify him as God, nor gave-thanks, but became-futile in their reasonings and their heart was darkened without understanding.

⁵ demolishing evil reasonings and every exalted thing which is lifting itself up against the knowledge of God and capturing every device of the Adversary to the obedience of the Christ;

⁵ Likewise, the younger ones, be subject to the elder ones. But all of you be subject to one another, clothe yourselves with humility, because ‘God resists the haughty, but is giving grace to the humble.’

⁸ Because of this, in one day her wounds will come–death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned in fire, because strong is the Lord God who judged her.

⁴ The bows of the mighty men are broken and those who stumbled are girded with strength.

⁶ Jehovah kills and makes alive. He brings down to Sheol and brings up. ⁷ Jehovah makes poor and makes rich. He brings low, he also lifts up. ⁸ He raises up the poor out of the dust, he lifts up the needy from the dunghill, to make them sit with rulers and inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are Jehovah's and he has set the world upon them.

¹¹ so that he sets up on high those who are low and those who mourn are exalted to safety.
¹² He frustrates the devices of the crafty so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise. ¹³ He takes the wise in their own craftiness and the counsel of the cunning is carried headlong.

²⁴ He breaks in pieces mighty men in ways past finding out and sets others in their stead. ²⁵ Therefore he takes knowledge of their works and he overturns them in the night, so that they are destroyed.
²⁶ He slaps them as wicked men in the open sight of others ²⁷ because they turned aside from following him and would not have regard in any of his ways, ²⁸ so that they caused the cry of the poor to come to him and he heard the cry of the afflicted.

⁴⁰ He pours contempt upon rulers and makes them to wander in the waste, where there is no way.
⁴¹ Yet he sets a needy man on high from affliction and makes him families like a flock.

⁶ and yet looks upon the low things in heaven and in the earth.

¹⁴ Because he came forth out of prison to be king, yes, he was born poor even in his kingdom.

²⁴ And all the trees of the field will know that I, Jehovah, have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree and have made the dry tree to flourish. I, Jehovah, have spoken and have done it.

¹¹ In that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David that has fallen and close up the breaches of it. And I will raise up its ruins and I will build it as in the days of old,

³ Is this not the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James and Joses and Jude and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us? And they were being offended at him.

¹⁴ I say to you, This one went down to his house, having been made righteous rather than that man, because everyone who is exalting himself will be humbled, but he who is humbling himself will be exalted.

⁹ But let the humble brother boast in his elevation, ¹⁰ but the rich brother in his humbleness, because like the flower of the grass, he will be passing away.

¹⁰ Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord and he will be exalting you.

⁵ Those who were full have hired out themselves for bread and those who were hungry have ceased to hunger. Yes, the barren has borne seven and she who has many sons languishes.

¹⁰ The young lions do lack and suffer hunger, but those who seek Jehovah will not want any good thing.

⁸ O that men would praise Jehovah for his loving kindness and for his wonderful works to the sons of men!
⁹ Because he satisfies the longing soul and he fills the hungry soul with good,

⁷ who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. Jehovah releases the prisoners.

²⁹ And I will raise up to them a plantation for renown and they will no more be consumed with famine in the land, nor bear the shame of the nations any more.

⁶ Those who hunger and are thirsty for righteousness are fortunate, because they will be fed.

²¹ You who hunger now are fortunate, because you will be fed. You who are weeping now are fortunate, because you will be laughing.

²⁴ However, woe to you who are rich, because you are having your consolation!

¹⁶ Now he spoke a parable to them, saying: The farmland of a certain rich man was fertile; ¹⁷ and he was reasoning in himself, saying, What should I do, because I have nowhere, in which, I will gather together my fruits? ¹⁸ And he said, I will be doing this: I will be taking down my barns and build greater ones. And I will be gathering together there, all my fruits of labor and my good things. ¹⁹ And I will be saying to my soul, Soul, you have many good things laid up for many years; rest yourself, eat, drink, and be joyous.
²⁰ But God said to him, Fool, your soul is asked back from you in this night, and the things which you prepared, whose will they be? ²¹ So is he who is storing up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

¹⁹ Now there was a certain rich man and he was clothing himself in purple and fine-linen, having been radiantly joyous daily. ²⁰ Now there was a certain poor man, Lazarus by name, who had been put at his gate, having been full of sores, ²¹ and desiring to be fed from the falling crumbs of the rich man’s table. But even the dogs, coming to him, were licking his sores. ²² Now it happened, that the poor man died and that he was carried away by the messengers into Abraham’s bosom, and the rich man also died and was buried. ²³ And in Hades, he lifted up his eyes, being in torments, and he sees Abraham from afar, and Lazarus in his bosom.
²⁴ And having shouted, he said, Father Abraham, show-mercy to me, and send Lazarus in order that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and may cool my tongue, because I am in anguish in this flame.
²⁵ But Abraham said, Child, remember that you received your good things in your life and Lazarus likewise evil things, but now he is comforted here and you are in anguish.

¹¹ The Pharisee stood and was praying these things with himself, God, I give-thanks to you, that I am not like the rest of men: swindlers, unrighteous, adulterers or just-like this tax collector. ¹² I fast twice in the week; I tithe of all things, as many things as I procure. ¹³ And the tax collector, standing from afar, was not even willing to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his chest, saying, God, be lenient to me, the sinner. ¹⁴ I say to you, This one went down to his house, having been made righteous rather than that man, because everyone who is exalting himself will be humbled, but he who is humbling himself will be exalted.

²⁴ Now when Jesus saw him, having become very sorrowful, he said, How those who have wealth will hardly enter into the kingdom of God! ²⁵ For it is easier for a camel to enter in through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

¹¹ Now Jesus took the loaves, and having given-thanks, he distributed it to the disciples and then to the disciples who had reclined; also likewise from the little-fish as many as they were wishing to eat. ¹² Now as they were getting filled, he says to his disciples, Gather up the broken pieces which was leftover, in order that not anything might perish. ¹³ Therefore they gathered together and filled twelve baskets from the broken pieces from the five barley loaves, which were leftover by those who had been fed.

³⁵ But Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life. He who is coming to me may never hunger and he who believes in me may never be thirsty at anytime.

²⁶ For you see your calling brethren, that not many are wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble.

⁸ Already you are satisfied, already you were enriched, you reigned as kings without us, and yet, I wish-that you did yet reign, in order that we also might reign together with you.

¹ Come now you rich, weep, howling in your miseries, in those which are coming upon you. ² Your riches have rotted and your garments have become moth-eaten. ³ Your gold and silver have tarnished, and their tarnish will be for a testimony against you and will be eating your flesh like fire. You have stored up treasure in your^\'b0 last days. ⁴ Behold, the wages of the workers who mowed your farmlands, the wages which have been defrauded by you, are crying out against you and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Hosts. ⁵ You have caroused upon the land and are self-indulgent; you have nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter. ⁶ You have sentenced others, you murdered the righteous; there is no resisting in you.

¹⁷ Because you say, I am rich and have enriched ourselves and have need of nothing, and do not know that you are the miserable and the pitiful and are poor and blind and naked. ¹⁸ I am counseling together with you to buy gold from me, having been refined out of fire, in order that you may be enriched, and in order that you should dress yourself with white garments and in order that the shame of your nakedness should not be manifested to all, and in order that you may anoint your eyes with eye-salve, in order that you may see.

¹⁶ They will not be hungry anymore, nor thirsty anymore; nor should the heat of the sun fall upon them, nor any heat, ¹⁷ because the Lamb, who is in the midst of the throne, is shepherding them and is guiding them to the springs of waters of life and God will be wiping-away every tear from their eyes.

³ He has remembered his loving kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

²¹ Remember these things, O Jacob and Israel, for you are my servant. I have formed you. You are my servant, O Israel, you will not be forgotten by me.

³ Listen to me, O house of Jacob and all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been borne by me from their birth, who have been carried from the womb. ⁴ And even to old age I am he and even to hoar hairs I will carry you *. I have made and I will bear, yes, I will carry and will deliver.

¹⁴ But Zion said, Jehovah has forsaken me and the Lord has forgotten me. ¹⁵ Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you.
¹⁶ Behold, I have engraved you upon the palms of my hands. Your walls are continually before me.

⁶ For Jehovah has called you as a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even a wife of youth when she is cast off, says your God.
⁷ For a small moment I have forsaken you, but with great mercies I will gather you. ⁸ In overflowing wrath I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting loving kindness I will have mercy on you, says Jehovah your Redeemer.
⁹ For this is as the waters of Noah to me. For as I have sworn that the waters of Noah will no more go over the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you, nor rebuke you. ¹⁰ For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my loving kindness will not depart from you, nor will my covenant of peace be shaken, says Jehovah who has mercy on you.

⁷ I will make mention of the loving kindnesses of Jehovah, and the praises of Jehovah, according to all that Jehovah has bestowed on us and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he has bestowed on them according to his mercies and according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.
⁸ For he said, Surely, they are my people, sons that will not deal falsely. So he was their Savior. ⁹ In all their affliction he was afflicted and the messenger of his presence saved them. In his love and in his pity he redeemed them. And he bore them and carried them all the days of old.
¹⁰ But they rebelled and grieved his holy Spirit. Therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and himself fought against them.
¹¹ Then he remembered the days of old, Moses and his people, saying, Where is he who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock? Where is he who put his holy Spirit in the midst of them, ¹² who caused his glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses, who divided the waters before them, to make himself an everlasting name, ¹³ who led them through the depths, as a horse in the wilderness, so that they stumbled not? ¹⁴ As the cattle that go down into the valley, the Spirit of Jehovah caused them to rest. So you led your people to make yourself a glorious name.
¹⁵ Look down from heaven and behold from the habitation of your holiness and of your glory. Where are your zeal and your mighty acts? The yearning of your heart and your compassions are restrained toward me.
¹⁶ For you are our Father, though Abraham knows us not and Israel does not acknowledge us, you, O Jehovah, are our Father, our Redeemer, from everlasting is your name.

³ Jehovah appeared of old to me, saying, Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love. Therefore with loving kindness I have drawn you.

²⁰ Is Ephraim my dear son? Is he a darling child? For as often as I speak against him, I do earnestly remember him still. Therefore my heart yearns for him. I will surely have mercy upon him, says Jehovah.

²⁴ Do you not consider what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which Jehovah chose, he has cast them off? Thus they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.
²⁵ Jehovah says thus: If my covenant of day and night stand not, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth, ²⁶ then I will also cast away the seed of Jacob and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. For I will cause their captivity to return and will have mercy on them.

²⁰ You will perform the truth to Jacob and the loving kindness to Abraham, which you have sworn to our fathers from the days of long-ago.

¹⁴ Sing, O daughter of Zion. Shout, O Israel. Be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem. ¹⁵ Jehovah has taken away your judgments. He has cast out your enemy. The King of Israel, even Jehovah, is in the midst of you. You will not fear evil any more.
¹⁶ In that day it will be said to Jerusalem, Do not fear, O Zion. Do not let your hands be slack. ¹⁷ Jehovah your God is in the midst of you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will rest in his love. He will joy over you with singing. ¹⁸ I will gather those who sorrow for the solemn assembly, who were of you, to whom the burden upon her was a reproach.
¹⁹ Behold, at that time I will deal with all those who afflict you. And I will save what is lame and gather what was driven away and I will make them a praise and a name, whose shame has been in all the earth. ²⁰ At that time I will bring you* in and at that time I will gather you*. For I will make you* a name and a praise among all the peoples of the earth when I bring back your* captivity before your* eyes, says Jehovah.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion. Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem. Behold, your king comes to you. He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding upon a donkey, even upon a colt the foal of a donkey.
¹⁰ And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem and the battle bow will be cut off. And he will speak peace to the nations. And his dominion will be from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.
¹¹ As for you also, because of the blood of your covenant I have set free your prisoners from the pit in which is no water.

⁷⁰ (just-as he spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets that have been from the ages past). ⁷¹ We have salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us; ⁷² to do his mercy with our fathers and his holy covenant to remember. ⁷³ We have the oath which he swore to Abraham our father to give to us, ⁷⁴ having been fearlessly rescued out of the hand of our enemies, to give-divine service to him ⁷⁵ in holiness and righteousness all the days of our life in his sight.

³ And I will bless those who bless you and he who curses you I will curse. And all the families of the earth will be blessed in you.

⁴ And I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven and will give to your seed all these lands and in your seed all the nations of the earth will be blessed,

¹⁴ And your seed will be as the dust of the earth and you will spread abroad to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south. And all the families of the earth will be blessed in you and in your seed.

⁶ O you* seed of Abraham his servant, you* sons of Jacob, his chosen. ⁷ He is Jehovah our God. His judgments are in all the earth.
⁸ He has remembered his covenant everlasting, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations, ⁹ which he made with Abraham and his oath to Isaac, ¹⁰ and confirmed the same to Jacob for a statute, to Israel for an everlasting covenant,

¹¹ Jehovah has sworn to David in truth. He will not turn from it: From the fruit of your body I will set upon your throne. ¹² If your sons will keep my covenant and my testimony that I will teach them, their sons also will sit upon your throne forever.
¹³ Because Jehovah has chosen Zion. He has desired it for his habitation. ¹⁴ This is my resting place forever. I will dwell here, for I have desired it. ¹⁵ I will abundantly bless her provision. I will satisfy her poor with bread. ¹⁶ I will also clothe her priests with salvation and her holy ones will shout aloud for joy.
¹⁷ I will make the horn of David to bud there. I have made ready a lamp for my anointed.

²⁸ According to the good-news they are indeed enemies because of you, but according to the choice, they are beloved because of the fathers. ²⁹ For the gifts and the calling of God are unregrettable.

¹⁶ Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He did not say and to seeds, as upon many, but as upon one and ‘to your seed,’which is the Christ. ¹⁷ Now I am saying this: the law, having happened four hundred and thirty years after ward, is not invalidating the covenant that has been validated beforehand by God in reference to Christ, that it should do-away-with the promise.

² And Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. ³ And Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him, Isaac, whom Sarah bore to him.

¹⁹ God is not a man, that he should lie, neither the son of man, that he should repent. Has he said and will he not do it? Or has he spoken and will he not make it good?

⁶ Now it happened, while they were there, the days were fulfilled that she should bear; ⁷ and she bore her firstborn son, and she swaddled and laid him in the manger, because there was no place for them in the boarding-house.

¹⁹ Behold now, your servant has found favor in your sight and you have magnified your loving kindness, which you have shown to me in saving my life and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest evil overtake me and I die.

¹⁴ And the women said to Naomi, Praise Jehovah, who has not left you this day without a near kinsman. And let his name be famous in Israel. ¹⁵ And he will be to you a restorer of life and a nourisher of your old age, for your daughter-in-law, who loves you, who is better to you than seven sons, has borne him.
¹⁶ And Naomi took the child and laid it in her bosom and became nurse to it. ¹⁷ And the women, her neighbors, gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi. And they called his name Obed. He is the father of Jesse, the father of David.

⁹ Shall I bring to the birth and not cause to bring forth? says Jehovah. Shall I who cause to bring forth shut the womb? says your God.
¹⁰ Rejoice you* with Jerusalem and be glad for her, all you* who love her. Rejoice for joy with her, all you* who mourn over her,

¹⁴ And there will be joy and gladness to you, and many will be rejoicing at his birth.

²⁵ Thus the Lord has done to me in the days in which he looked upon me, to take away my reproach among men.

¹⁵ Ready to rejoice with the ones rejoicing and to weep with the ones weeping.

²⁶ And if one member is suffering, all the members are suffering together with it. If one member is glorified, all the members are rejoicing together with it.

¹² And he who is eight days old will be circumcised among you*, every male throughout your* generations: he who is born in the house, or bought with money of any foreigner that is not of your seed.

³ And Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him, Isaac, whom Sarah bore to him. ⁴ And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac when he was eight days old, as God had commanded him.

³ And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin will be circumcised.

⁸ And he gave him the covenant of circumcision and so he fathered Isaac and he circumcised him on the eighth day, and to Isaac was born Jacob and to Jacob the twelve patriarchs.

⁵ I was circumcised on the eighth day, from the race of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew out of Hebrews; according to the law, a Pharisee;

²⁵ and he sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet. And he called his name Jedidiah, for Jehovah's sake.

⁶³ And he asked for a writing-tablet and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they all marveled.

³ Do not let kindness and truth forsake you. Bind them about your neck, write them upon the tablet of your heart,

⁸ Now go, write it before them on a tablet and inscribe it on a scroll, that it may be for the time to come until everlasting.

¹ The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron and with the point of a diamond. It is engraved upon the tablet of their heart and upon the horns of your* altars,

² And Jehovah answered me and said, Write the vision and make it plain upon tablets, that he may run who reads it.

⁶⁰ And his mother answered and said, Not so, but he will be called John.

¹⁵ And you will speak to him and put the words in his mouth. And I will be with your mouth and with his mouth and will teach you* what you* will do, ¹⁶ and he will be your spokesman to the people. And it will happen, that he will be to you a mouth and you will be to him as God.

⁷ You, Jehovah, had made my mountain to stand strong from your favor. You hid your face; I was troubled. ⁸ I cried to you, O Jehovah and I made supplication to Jehovah.
⁹ What profit is there in my blood when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise you? Shall it declare your truth? ¹⁰ Hear, O Jehovah and have mercy upon me. Jehovah, be my helper. ¹¹ You have turned for me my mourning into dancing. You have loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness, ¹² to the end that my glory may sing praise to you and not be silent.
O Jehovah my God, I will give thanks to you everlasting.

¹⁵ O Lord, open you my lips and my mouth will show forth your praise.

¹⁸ Jehovah has disciplined me greatly, but he has not given me over to death.
¹⁹ Open to me the gates of righteousness. I will enter into them. I will give thanks to Jehovah.

¹ And you will say in that day, I will give thanks to you, O Jehovah, for though you were angry with me. Your anger is turned away and you comfort me.

⁹ Then Jehovah put forth his hand and touched my mouth. And Jehovah said to me, Behold, I have put my words in your mouth.

²⁷ But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth and you will say to them, The lord Jehovah says thus. He who hears, let him hear and he who forbears, let him forbear, for they are a rebellious house.

²¹ In that day I will cause a horn to bud forth to the house of Israel and I will give you the opening of the mouth in the midst of them. And they will know that I am Jehovah.

²² Now the hand of Jehovah had been upon me in the evening, before he who escaped came. And he had opened my mouth until he came to me in the morning. And my mouth was opened and I was no more mute.

³⁴ And at the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes to heaven and my understanding returned to me. And I blessed the Most High and I praised and honored he who lives forever. For his dominion is an everlasting dominion and his kingdom from generation to generation. ³⁵ And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing and he does according to his will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth. And none can stay his hand, or say to him, What are you doing?
³⁶ At the same time my understanding returned to me and for the glory of my kingdom, my majesty and brightness returned to me and my counselors and my lords sought to me. And I was established in my kingdom and excellent greatness was added to me.
³⁷ Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are truth and his ways justice. And he is able to humble those who walk in pride.

³³ And when the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke and the crowds marveled, saying, This was never so seen in Israel.

³⁹ Now having risen up in these days, Mary traveled diligently into the hill-country, into a city of Judah,

¹⁷ Let your hand be upon the man of your right hand, upon the son of man whom you made strong for yourself,

⁴⁰ Now the child was growing and becoming-powerful in spirit, being filled with wisdom, and the favor of God was upon him.

⁴⁴ Place these words into your ears; for the Son of Man is about to be given up into the hands of men.

²¹ And the hand of the Lord was with them and a large number who believed turned to the Lord.

²⁵ And Jehovah came down in the cloud and spoke to him and took of the spirit that was upon him and put it upon the seventy elders. And it happened, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, but they did so no more.

² The Spirit of Jehovah spoke by me and his word was upon my tongue.

²⁸ And it will happen afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh and your* sons and your* daughters will prophesy. Your* old men will dream dreams. Your* young men will see visions.

¹⁶ Go and gather the elders of Israel together and say to them, Jehovah, the God of your* fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac and of Jacob, has appeared to me, saying, I have surely visited you* and seen what is done to you* in Egypt. ¹⁷ And I have said, I will bring you* up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite, to a land flowing with milk and honey.

³¹ And the people believed. And when they heard that Jehovah had visited the sons of Israel and that he had seen their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped.

⁴⁸ And also thus said the king, Praise Jehovah, the God of Israel, who has given one of my seed to sit on my throne this day, my eyes even seeing it.

¹⁰ Therefore David praised Jehovah before all the assembly. And David said, You are blessed, O Jehovah, the God of Israel our father, everlasting and everlasting.

²⁰ And David said to all the assembly, Now praise Jehovah your* God. And all the assembly praised Jehovah, the God of their fathers and bowed down their heads and bowed-down to Jehovah and the king.

¹³ Praise Jehovah, the God of Israel, from everlasting and to everlasting. Truly and Truly.

⁴⁸ Praise Jehovah, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting. And let all the people say, Truly. Praise Jehovah.

³⁸ And standing up in that same hour, she was fully-professing the Lord and was speaking concerning him to all those who were waiting for the redemption in Jerusalem.

⁴⁴ and will be leveling you to the bedrock, and your children among you, and they will not be leaving in you one stone upon another stone, because you did not know the time of your visitation.

³ The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is gracious, who has blessed us in every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

⁷ in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses according to the riches of his grace.

³ The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is gracious, who according to his much mercy has born us again into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

¹ And Hannah prayed and said, My heart rejoices in Jehovah. My heart is exalted in Jehovah. My mouth is enlarged over my enemies because I rejoice in your salvation.

¹⁰ Those who contend with Jehovah will be broken to pieces. He will thunder against them in heaven. Jehovah will judge the ends of the earth and he will give strength to his king and exalt the horn of his anointed.

²⁶ And let your name be magnified until everlasting, saying, Jehovah of hosts is God over Israel and the house of your servant David will be established before you.

³ God, my rock, in him I will take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my high tower and my refuge, my savior. You save me from violence.

¹³ However I will not tear away all the kingdom, but I will give one tribe to your son, for David my servant's sake and for Jerusalem's sake which I have chosen.

² Jehovah is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I will take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.

³ I have made a covenant with my chosen. I have sworn to David my servant:

¹⁷ Because you are the glory of their strength and in your favor our horn will be exalted.

²⁰ I have found David my servant. I have anointed him with my holy oil, ²¹ with whom my hand will be established. My arm also will strengthen him.
²² The enemy will not exact from him, nor the son of wickedness afflict him. ²³ And I will beat down his adversaries before him and kill* those who hate him, ²⁴ but my faithfulness and my loving kindness will be with him and in my name will his horn be exalted.
²⁵ I will also set his hand on the sea and his right hand on the rivers.
²⁶ He will cry to me, You are my Father, my God and the rock of my salvation. ²⁷ I also will make him firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.
²⁸ I will keep my loving kindness for him everlasting. And my covenant will stand fast with him. ²⁹ I will also make his seed to endure forever and his throne as the days of heaven.
³⁰ If his sons forsake my law and do not walk in my ordinances, ³¹ if they break my statutes and do not keep my commandments, ³² then I will visit their transgression with the rod and their iniquity with stripes, ³³ but my loving kindness I will not utterly take from him, nor allow my faithfulness to fail.
³⁴ I will not break my covenant, nor alter the thing that has gone out of my lips.

¹⁷ I will make the horn of David to bud there. I have made ready a lamp for my anointed. ¹⁸ I will clothe his enemies with shame, but upon himself his crown will flourish.

¹ And there will come out a shoot out of the stock of Jesse. And a branch out of his roots will bear fruit. ² And the Spirit of Jehovah will rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah. ³ And his delight will be in the fear of Jehovah. And he will not judge according to the sight of his eyes, nor decide according to the hearing of his ears, ⁴ but with righteousness he will judge the poor and decide with equity for the meek of the earth.
And he will kill* the earth with the rod of his mouth and with the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked. ⁵ And righteousness will be the belt of his waist and faithfulness the belt of his loins.
⁶ And the wolf will dwell with the lamb and the leopard will lie down with the kid and the calf and the young lion and the fatten one together and a little child will lead them. ⁷ And the cow and the bear will feed; their young ones will lie down together. And the lion will eat straw like the ox. ⁸ And the sucking child will play on the hole of the adder and the weaned child will put his hand on the adder's den.
⁹ They will not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters cover the sea.

¹⁵ In those days and at that time, I will cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up to David and he will execute justice and righteousness in the land. ¹⁶ In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will dwell safely. And this is the name whereby she will be called: Jehovah our righteousness.
¹⁷ For Jehovah says thus: David will never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel, ¹⁸ neither will the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings and to burn meal offerings and to do sacrifice continually.
¹⁹ And the word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah, saying, ²⁰ Jehovah says thus: If you* can break my covenant of the day and my covenant of the night, so that there will not be day and night in their season, ²¹ then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he will not have a son to reign upon his throne and with the Levites the priests, my ministers. ²² As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured, so I will multiply the seed of David my servant and the Levites that minister to me.
²³ And the word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah, saying,

¹⁰ The kingdom which is coming in the name of the Lord of our father David has been blessed. Hosanna in the highest.

² which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy Scriptures, ³ concerning his Son, (who was born from the seed of David according to the flesh,

¹⁶ I, Jesus, have sent my messenger to testify to you these things in the congregations. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star.

¹⁰ The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs and to him will the obedience of the peoples be.

⁵ Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch and he will reign as king and deal wisely and will execute justice and righteousness in the land.

¹⁰ Therefore do not fear, O Jacob my servant, says Jehovah, nor be dismayed, O Israel. For behold, I will save you from afar and your seed from the land of their captivity and Jacob will return and will be quiet and at ease and none will make him afraid.

²⁴ Seventy weeks are decreed upon your people and upon your holy city, to finish transgression and to make an end of sins and to make reconciliation for iniquity and to bring in everlasting righteousness and to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy.
²⁵ Know therefore and discern, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem to the anointed one, the Prince, will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It will be built again, with street and moat, even in troublesome times.
²⁶ And after the sixty-two weeks the anointed one will be cut off and will have nothing. And the people of the prince who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary and the end of it will be with a flood. And even to the end will be war; desolations are determined. ²⁷ And he will make a firm covenant with many for one week. And in the midst of the week he will cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. And upon the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate. And even to the full end and that determined, wrath will be poured out upon the desolate.

³⁶ David himself said in the Holy Spirit, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand, until I should place your enemies as the footstool of your feet.’

²⁶ Was it not essential for the Christ to suffer these things and to enter into his glory? ²⁷ And beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he was clarifying for them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

⁴⁴ Now he said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you, being still together with you, that it is essential for all things to be fulfilled, which have been written in the Law of Moses and the prophets and the Psalms, concerning me.

²¹ whom it is indeed essential for the heaven to accept till the times of restoration of all things, of which God spoke through the mouth of all his holy prophets that have been from of old. ²² Moses indeed said to the fathers, The Lord our God will rise up for you a prophet from among your brethren, like me. You will listen to him according to all things, as many things as he may speak to you. ²³ And it will be, that every soul if it does not listen to that prophet, will be utterly destroyed from among the people. ²⁴ But even all the prophets from Samuel and those who followed afterwards, as many as have spoken, also spoke of these days.

²⁵ But when they disagreed among themselves, they were dismissing themselves after Paul had spoken just one declaration, The Holy Spirit spoke well through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers,

² which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy Scriptures,

⁷ Hence, as the Holy Spirit says, ‘Today if you hear his voice,

¹² To whom it was revealed, that they were serving these things not to themselves, but to you; which things now have been reported to you through those who proclaimed the good-news to you in the Holy Spirit, when he was sent forth from heaven; into which things messengers desire to peer into.

¹⁰ And I fell down before his feet to worship him. And he says to me, See that you do not do that. I am a fellow bondservant of you and of your brethren who are holding the testimony of Jesus. Worship God; for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

²⁹ You are fortunate, O Israel. Who is like you, a people saved by Jehovah, the shield of your help and the sword of your excellency! And your enemies will submit themselves to you and you will tread upon their high places.

¹⁰ And he saved them from the hand of him who hated them and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

⁴⁷ Save us, O Jehovah our God and gather us from among the nations, to give thanks to your holy name and to triumph in your praise.

¹ For Jehovah will have compassion on Jacob and will yet choose Israel and set them in their own land. And the traveler will join himself with them and they will cling to the house of Jacob. ² And the peoples will take them and bring them to their place. And the house of Israel will possess them in the land of Jehovah for servants and for handmaids. And they will take them captive whose captives they were and they will rule over their oppressors.
³ And it will happen in the day that Jehovah will give you rest from your sorrow and from your trouble and from the hard service in which you were made to serve,

²⁴ Jehovah says thus, your Redeemer and he who formed you from the womb: I am Jehovah, who makes all things, who stretches forth the heavens alone, who spreads abroad the earth (who is with me?), ²⁵ who frustrates the signs of the liars and makes diviners mad, who turns wise men backward and makes their knowledge foolish, ²⁶ who confirms the word of his servant and performs the counsel of his messengers, who says of Jerusalem, She will be inhabited and of the cities of Judah, They will be built and I will raise up the waste places of it,

⁷ For a small moment I have forsaken you, but with great mercies I will gather you. ⁸ In overflowing wrath I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting loving kindness I will have mercy on you, says Jehovah your Redeemer.
⁹ For this is as the waters of Noah to me. For as I have sworn that the waters of Noah will no more go over the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you, nor rebuke you. ¹⁰ For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my loving kindness will not depart from you, nor will my covenant of peace be shaken, says Jehovah who has mercy on you.
¹¹ O you afflicted, tossed with tempest and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in fair colors and lay your foundations with sapphires. ¹² And I will make your pinnacles of rubies and your gates of carbuncles and all your border of precious stones. ¹³ And all your sons will be taught of Jehovah and great will be the peace of your sons. ¹⁴ You will be established in righteousness. You will be far from oppression, for you will not fear and from terror, for it will not come near you.
¹⁵ Behold, they may gather together, but not by me. Whoever will gather together against you will fall because of you. ¹⁶ Behold, I have created the smith who blows the fire of coals and brings forth a weapon for his work. And I have created the waster to destroy. ¹⁷ No weapon that is formed against you will prosper. And every tongue that will rise against you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of Jehovah and their righteousness which is of me, says Jehovah.

⁶ In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will dwell safely. And this is his name by which he will be called: Jehovah our righteousness.

⁹ but they will serve Jehovah their God and David their king, whom I will raise up to them.
¹⁰ Therefore do not fear, O Jacob my servant, says Jehovah, nor be dismayed, O Israel. For behold, I will save you from afar and your seed from the land of their captivity and Jacob will return and will be quiet and at ease and none will make him afraid. ¹¹ For I am with you, says Jehovah, to save you. For I will make a full end of all the nations where I have scattered you, but I will not make a full end of you. But I will discipline you in measure and will in no way leave you unpunished.

³⁷ Behold, I will gather them out of all the countries where I have driven them in my anger and in my wrath and in great indignation. And I will bring them again to this place and I will cause them to dwell safely.

²⁶ And they will dwell securely in it. Yes, they will build houses and plant vineyards and will dwell securely, when I have executed judgments upon all those who do them spite all around them.
And they will know that I am Jehovah their God.

²⁵ And I will make a covenant of peace with them and will cause evil beasts to cease out of the land and they will dwell securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods.

²⁸ And they will no more be a prey to the nations, nor will the beasts of the earth devour them, but they will dwell securely and none will make them afraid.

⁸ After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land that is brought back from the sword, that is gathered out of many peoples, upon the mountains of Israel, which have been a continual waste, but it is brought forth out of the peoples and they will dwell securely, all of them.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion. Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem. Behold, your king comes to you. He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding upon a donkey, even upon a colt the foal of a donkey.
¹⁰ And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem and the battle bow will be cut off. And he will speak peace to the nations. And his dominion will be from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.

⁷⁴ having been fearlessly rescued out of the hand of our enemies, to give-divine service to him

⁸ He who is practicing sin is from the devil, because the devil sins from the beginning, to this end the Son of God was manifested, in order that he might tear-down the works of the devil.

⁴ As for me, behold, my covenant is with you and you will be the father of a multitude of nations. ⁵ Neither will your name any more be called Abram, but your name will be Abraham, because I have made you the father of a multitude of nations. ⁶ And I will make you exceedingly fruitful. And I will make nations of you and kings will come out of you.
⁷ And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your seed after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and to your seed after you. ⁸ And I will give to you and to your seed after you, the land of your travels, all the land of Canaan for an everlasting possession and I will be their God.
⁹ And God said to Abraham, And as for you, you will keep my covenant, you and your seed after you throughout their generations.

⁴² then I will remember my covenant with Jacob and also my covenant with Isaac and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember and I will remember the land.

⁴⁵ And he remembered his covenant for them and relented according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.

⁵ He has given food to those who fear him. He will ever be mindful of his everlasting covenant.

⁸ Now when I passed by you and looked upon you, behold, your time was the time of love. And I spread my skirt over you and covered your nakedness. Yes, I swore to you and entered into a covenant with you, says the lord Jehovah and you became mine.

⁶⁰ Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with you in the days of your youth and I will establish to you an everlasting covenant.

⁵⁴ He helped Israel his young-servant, in order to remember his mercy, ⁵⁵ just-as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and his seed forever.

²⁵ You are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant which God covenanted with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your seed, all the families of the earth will be blessed.’ ²⁶ God, having raised up his young-servant Jesus, sent him to you first, blessing you in turning each of you away from your wickednesses.

²⁸ According to the good-news they are indeed enemies because of you, but according to the choice, they are beloved because of the fathers.

¹⁵ Brethren, I am speaking according to the manner of man, even a man’s covenant when it has been validated, no one nullifies or alters it with provisions.

¹³ For when God promised to Abraham, since he was holding no one greater to swear according to, he swore according to himself, ¹⁴ saying, Absolutely in blessing, I will bless you and multiplying, I will multiply you. ¹⁵ And thus Abraham, having had patience, obtained the promise. ¹⁶ For indeed, men swear according to the greater and the oath made for confirmation is an end in every dispute of theirs. ¹⁷ In which God, planning to show even-more to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable will of his plan, intermediated this with an oath; ¹⁸ in order that through two unchangeable matters, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge, to take-hold of the hope that lays before us.

¹⁶ and said, I have sworn by myself, says Jehovah, because you have done this thing and have not withheld your son, your only son, ¹⁷ that in blessing I will bless you and in multiplying I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is upon the sea _shore and your seed will possess the gate of his enemies ¹⁸ and in your seed will all the nations of the earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice.

⁷ Jehovah, the God of heaven, who took me from my father's house and from the land of my nativity and who spoke to me and who swore to me, saying, To your seed I will give this land. He will send his messenger before you and you will take a wife for my son from there.

³ Travel in this land and I will be with you and will bless you. For to you and to your seed, I will give all these lands and I will establish the oath that I swore to Abraham your father.

⁸ but because Jehovah loves you*. And because he would keep the oath which he swore to your* fathers, Jehovah has brought you* out with a mighty hand and redeemed you* out of the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh King of Egypt.

¹² And it will happen, because you* listen to these ordinances and keep and do them, that Jehovah your God will keep with you the covenant and the loving kindness which he swore to your fathers.

⁹ which he made with Abraham and his oath to Isaac,

⁵ that I may establish the oath which I swore to your* fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as at this day. Then I answered and said, Truly, O Jehovah.

¹³ For when God promised to Abraham, since he was holding no one greater to swear according to, he swore according to himself,

¹⁶ For indeed, men swear according to the greater and the oath made for confirmation is an end in every dispute of theirs. ¹⁷ In which God, planning to show even-more to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable will of his plan, intermediated this with an oath;

⁹ No lion will be there, nor will any ravenous beast go up in it. They will not be found there. But the redeemed will walk there.
¹⁰ And the ransomed of Jehovah will return and come with singing to Zion. And everlasting joy will be upon their heads. They will obtain gladness and joy. And sorrow and sighing will flee away.

¹⁷ But Israel will be saved by Jehovah with an everlasting salvation. You* will not be put to shame nor confounded world without end.

¹³ And all your sons will be taught of Jehovah and great will be the peace of your sons. ¹⁴ You will be established in righteousness. You will be far from oppression, for you will not fear and from terror, for it will not come near you.

²¹ And they will build houses and inhabit them. And they will plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them. ²² They will not build and another inhabit. They will not plant and another eat. For as the days of a tree will be the days of my people and my chosen will long enjoy the work of their hands. ²³ They will not labor in vain, nor bring forth for calamity. For they are the seed of the praised of Jehovah and their offspring with them.
²⁴ And it will happen that, before they call, I will answer and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. ²⁵ The wolf and the lamb will feed together and the lion will eat straw like the ox and dust will be the serpent's food. They will not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, says Jehovah.

²⁵ And I will make a covenant of peace with them and will cause evil beasts to cease out of the land and they will dwell securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods. ²⁶ And I will make them and the places all around my hill a blessing and I will cause the shower to come down in its season; there will be showers of blessing.
²⁷ And the tree of the field will yield its fruit and the earth will yield its increase and they will be secure in their land. And they will know that I am Jehovah when I have broken the bars of their yoke and have delivered them out of the hand of those who made bondmen of them.
²⁸ And they will no more be a prey to the nations, nor will the beasts of the earth devour them, but they will dwell securely and none will make them afraid.

²⁸ And they will know that I am Jehovah their God, in that I caused them to go into captivity among the nations and have gathered them to their own land. And I will leave none of them any more there, ²⁹ nor will I hide my face any more from them. For I have poured out my Spirit upon the house of Israel, says the lord Jehovah.

⁸ And I will encamp the army around my house, that none pass through or return and no oppressor will pass through them any more. For now I have seen with my eyes.

⁷¹ We have salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us;

²² But now, having been made free from sin and having been enslaved to God, you have your fruit leading to holiness and the end everlasting life.

¹⁵ For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the spirit of sonship, in which we cry, Abba, Father.

⁷ For God did not give to us a spirit of cowardice, but of power and love and self-discipline.

¹⁵ and he might set-free these, as many as were in fear of death, who were liable to bondage throughout all their life.

¹⁴ how much more the blood of Christ, (who through the everlasting Spirit offered himself unblemished to God), will be cleansing your conscience from dead works, that you may give-divine service to the living God.

¹⁰ Let no one fear the things which you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some from you into prison, in order that you may be tested and you will have affliction ten days. Become faithful to death and I will be giving you the crown of life.

² that you might fear Jehovah your God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you, you and your son and your son's son, all the days of your life and that your days may be prolonged.

⁴⁴ And he gave them the lands of the nations and they took the labor of the peoples in possession, ⁴⁵ that they might keep his statutes and observe his laws. Praise Jehovah.

³³ But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says Jehovah: I will give my laws into their mind and I will write them on their hearts. And I will be their God and they will be my people.
³⁴ And they will teach no more every man his neighbor and every man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah, for they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says Jehovah. For I will forgive their iniquity and I will remember their sin no more.

³⁹ And I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for the good of them and of their sons after them.
⁴⁰ And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from following them, to do them good. And I will put my fear in their hearts, that they may not depart from me.

²⁴ For I will take you* from among the nations and gather you* out of all the countries and will bring you* into your* own land. ²⁵ And I will sprinkle clean water upon you* and you* will be clean. I will cleanse you* from all your* filthiness and from all your* idols.
²⁶ I will also give you* a new heart and I will put a new spirit within you*. And I will take away the stony heart out of your* flesh and I will give you* a heart of flesh. ²⁷ And I will put my Spirit within you* and cause you* to walk in my statutes and you* will keep my ordinances and do them.

⁴ just-as he chose us in him before the conception of the world, for us to be holy and unblemished in his sight in love.

¹⁰ For we are his product, created in Christ Jesus toward good works, in which God prepared beforehand in order that we should walk in them.

²⁴ and to have clothed yourselves with the new man, who was created according to God, in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

¹ Therefore furthermore brethren, we request and are encouraging you in the Lord Jesus, just-as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, in order that you might abound even more.

⁷ For God did not call us in uncleanness, but in holiness.

¹³ But we ought to thank God always concerning you brethren, beloved by the Lord, that God himself selected you from the beginning to salvation in holiness of the Spirit and in faith of the truth;

⁹ who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before times everlasting,

¹⁴ like children of obedience not fashioning yourselves in your former lusts in the time of your ignorance; ¹⁵ but according to he who called you, who is holy, you yourselves also become holy in all your conduct; ¹⁶ because it has been written, ‘Become holy, because I am holy.’

⁴ through which he has bestowed to us as a gift, his precious and greatest promises; in order that you might become partners of the divine nature through these things, having fled away from the corruption in the world among its lust.
⁵ Now also for this same thing, besides having entered in all diligence, supply in your faith, virtue, and in your virtue, knowledge ⁶ and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, endurance, and in your endurance, godliness; ⁷ and in your godliness, brotherly-love, and in your brotherly-love, love. ⁸ For if these things are existing and increasing in you, none will designate you idle or unfruitful toward the full knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁵ Yes, of Zion it will be said, this and that man was born in her and the Most High himself will establish her.

⁵ Behold, I will send you* Elijah the prophet before the great and fearful day of Jehovah comes.

³ For this one is he who was spoken of by Isaiah the prophet, saying, ‘A voice is crying in the wilderness, prepare the way of the Lord, make^*\'b0 his paths straight.’

⁹ But why did you go out? To see a prophet? I say to you, Yes, and one who is more-than a prophet. ¹⁰ For this is he, concerning whom it has been written, ‘Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will be preparing your way before you.’

⁵ And wishing to kill him, but he feared the crowd, because they held him as a prophet.

²⁶ But if we say, From men; we fear the crowd; for all are holding John up like a prophet.

² As it has been written in the prophets, ‘Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will be preparing your way.’ ³ ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness, prepare the way of the Lord; make^*\'b0 his paths straight.’

³² But should we say, From men? (They feared the people. All held that John really was a prophet.)

¹⁶ And he will be turning many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God. ¹⁷ And he will be going beforehand, in his sight, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to return the hearts of the fathers back on their children, and the disobedient to return in the prudence of the righteous; to make-ready a prepared people for the Lord.

³² He will be great and will be called the Son of the Highest and the Lord God will be giving to him the throne of his father David,

⁴ as it has been written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying, ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord. Make^*\'b0 his paths straight. ⁵ Every valley will be filled and every mountain and hill will be humbled. And the crooked will become straight and the rough ways, smooth. ⁶ And all flesh will be seeing the salvation of God.’

²⁷ This is he concerning whom it has been written, ‘Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will be preparing your way before you. ²⁸ For I say to you, Among those born of women there is no prophet greater than John the Immerser; yet he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

²³ He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness. Make straight the way of the Lord, just-as Isaiah the prophet said.

²⁷ It is he who is coming after me, who has become before me. I am not worthy that I should loose the strap of his shoes.

²⁴ when John preached beforehand the immersion of repentance to Israel, before his face and before his entrance. ²⁵ Now as John was fulfilling his course, he was saying, Who do you perceive that I am? I am not he. But behold, there is one coming after me, of whom I am not worthy to loosen the shoes of his feet.

³⁴ And they will teach no more every man his neighbor and every man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah, for they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says Jehovah. For I will forgive their iniquity and I will remember their sin no more.

³ ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness, prepare the way of the Lord; make^*\'b0 his paths straight.’ ⁴ John came, immersing in the wilderness and preaching the immersion of repentance into the forgiveness of sins.

³ And he came into all the region around the Jordan, preaching the immersion of repentance into the forgiveness of sins;

⁶ And all flesh will be seeing the salvation of God.’

⁴⁷ Because of which, I say to you, Her sins, which are many, have been forgiven, because she loved much, but to whom few is forgiven, the same loves few. ⁴⁸ Now he said to her, Your sins have been forgiven.
⁴⁹ And those who reclined at the meal together with him began to speak among themselves, Who is this one, who forgives even sins?
⁵⁰ But he said to the woman, Your faith has saved you. Travel in peace.

⁷ This one came to be a witness, in order that he might testify concerning the light, in order that all should believe through him. ⁸ He was not the light, but came in order that he might testify concerning the light.
⁹ He was the true light coming into the world, the light which illuminates every man.

¹⁵ John testifies concerning him and has cried, saying, This one was he of whom I spoke, He who is coming after me, has become before me, because he was first, then me. ¹⁶ And we all received out of his fullness and favor in exchange-for favor. ¹⁷ Because the law was given through Moses; the favor and the truth became through Jesus Christ.

²⁹ On the next-day he sees Jesus coming toward him and says, Behold, the Lamb of God, who is taking away the sin of the world!

²⁷ John answered and said, A man is able to receive nothing, if it is not given to him from heaven. ²⁸ You yourselves testify, that I said, I am not the Christ, but, that I have been sent before that one. ²⁹ He who has the bride is the bridegroom, but the friend of the bridegroom, who is standing and hearing him, rejoices with joy because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore in this, my joy has been fulfilled. ³⁰ It is essential for that to grow, but for me to be diminished.
³¹ He who is coming from above is over all. He who is from the earth is from the earth and speaks from the earth. He who is coming from heaven is over all. ³² And what he has seen and heard, he is testifying of this, and no one receives his testimony. ³³ He who has received his testimony has sealed this : that God is true. ³⁴ For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God does not give the Spirit from measure.

³⁸ Now Peter said to them, Repent and be immersed each one of you in the name of Jesus Christ into the forgiveness of your sins, and you will be receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. \super{F}

¹⁹ Therefore, repent and turn again, that your sins may be wiped-away, that seasons of refreshment may come from the presence of the Lord;

³¹ This Jesus is the Author and Savior who God exalted to his right hand, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

⁴³ To this one, all the prophets are testifying, that through his name everyone who believes in him will be receiving forgiveness of sins.

³⁸ Therefore brethren, let it be known to you that forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you through this one; ³⁹ and everyone who believes is made righteous in this one; you were not able to be made righteous from all the things of which were in the Law of Moses.

⁴ But Paul said, John indeed immersed in the immersion of repentance, saying to the people in order that they should believe in the one who is coming after him, that is, in the Christ Jesus.

²⁵ whom God purposed as an atonement through the faith in his blood in an example of his righteousness, because of the passing over of the sins, having been done beforehand,

⁶ Just-as David also says concerning the good-fortune of the man to whom God counts righteousness separate from works, ⁷ saying, ‘Those whose lawlessnesses are forgiven and whose sins are covered are fortunate. ⁸ The man to whom the Lord may never count sin, is fortunate.’

¹⁷ I see him, but not now. I behold him, but not near. There will come out a star out of Jacob and a scepter will rise out of Israel and will kill* through the corners of Moab and break down all the sons of tumult.

⁶ Remember, O Jehovah, your tender mercies and your loving kindness. Because they are from everlasting.

¹ And there will come out a shoot out of the stock of Jesse. And a branch out of his roots will bear fruit.

⁷ I will make mention of the loving kindnesses of Jehovah, and the praises of Jehovah, according to all that Jehovah has bestowed on us and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he has bestowed on them according to his mercies and according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.

¹⁵ Look down from heaven and behold from the habitation of your holiness and of your glory. Where are your zeal and your mighty acts? The yearning of your heart and your compassions are restrained toward me.

⁸ Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your fellows who sit before you, for they are men who are a sign. For, behold, I will bring forth my servant the Branch.

¹² And speak to him, saying, Thus speaks Jehovah of hosts, saying, Behold, the man whose name is the Branch. And he will grow up out of his place and he will build the temple of Jehovah,

² But to you* who fear my name the sun of righteousness will arise with healing in its wings and you* will go forth and frolic as calves of the stall.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, in order that everyone who believes in him might not perish, but may have everlasting life.

⁴ But God, being rich in mercy, because of his much love with which he loved us, ⁵ even when we were dead through our trespasses, he made us alive together with the Christ; you are saved in his grace.

¹⁴ Hence he says, Arise, you who are sleeping and rise up from the dead and the Christ will appear upon you.

⁸ For God is my witness, how I am longing-for all of you in the affections of Christ Jesus.

¹ Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affections and mercies,

¹² Therefore as chosen ones of God, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with a heart of mercy, kindness, humility, meekness, patience,

¹⁹ And we have the steadfast prophetic word, (as to a lamp appearing in a dreary place, until the day should dawn and the morning-star might rise), to which you are doing well, and taking-heed in your hearts.

¹⁷ But whoever has the world’s good life and should view his brother having need and then should lock his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

⁹ In this, the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent his only begotten Son into the world in order that we might live through him. ¹⁰ In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atonement on behalf of our sins.

⁵ Let darkness and the shadow of death claim it for their own. Let a cloud dwell upon it. Let blackness come upon it.

²² the land dark as midnight, of the shadow of death, without any order and where the light is as midnight.

⁴ Even, because I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, because you are with me, your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

⁸ Good and upright is Jehovah. Therefore he will instruct sinners in the way. ⁹ The meek he will guide in justice and the meek he will teach his way. ¹⁰ All the paths of Jehovah are loving kindness and truth to such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

¹² What man is he who fears Jehovah? Him he will instruct in the way that he will choose.

¹⁹ that you have greatly broken us in the place of jackals and covered us with the shadow of death.

¹⁰ Mercy and truth are met together. Righteousness and peace have kissed each other. ¹¹ Truth springs out of the earth and righteousness has looked down from heaven.
¹² Yes, Jehovah will give what is good and our land will yield its increase. ¹³ Righteousness will go before him and will make his footsteps a path.

¹⁰ even those who sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron,

¹⁴ He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death and broke their bonds apart.

¹⁷ Her ways are ways of pleasantness and all her paths are peace.

²⁰ I walk in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of justice,

² The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light. Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them the light has shone.

⁷ to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon and those who sit in darkness out of the prison-house.

¹⁶ And I will bring the blind by a way that they do not know. I will lead them in paths that they do not know. I will make darkness light before them and crooked places straight. These things I will do and I will not forsake them.

¹⁷ Jehovah says thus, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am Jehovah your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way that you should go.

²² There is no peace, says Jehovah, to the wicked.

⁹ saying to those who are bound, Go forth; to those who are in darkness, Show yourselves. They will feed in the ways and their pasture will be on all bare heights.

¹⁹ I create the fruit of the lips. Peace, peace, to him who is far off and to him who is near, says Jehovah and I will heal him.
²⁰ But the wicked are like the troubled sea, for it cannot rest and its waters cast up mud and dirt. ²¹ There is no peace, says my God, to the wicked.

⁸ They do not know the way of peace and there is no justice in their goings. They have made them crooked paths. Whoever goes in it does not know peace.

¹ Arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of Jehovah has risen upon you. ² For, behold, darkness will cover the earth and gross darkness the peoples. But Jehovah will arise upon you and his glory will be seen upon you. ³ And nations will come to your light and kings to the brightness of your rising.

⁶ Nor did they say, Where is Jehovah who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, who led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought and of the shadow of death, through a land that none passed through and where no man dwelt?

¹⁶ Jehovah says thus, Stand in the ways and see. And ask for the old paths where is the good way. And walk in it and you* will find rest for your* souls. But they said, We will not walk.

¹⁶ the people who sit in darkness saw a great light and to those who sit in the region and shadow of death, light has risen for them.’

²⁸ Come-here to me, all you who labor and have been loaded down, and I will be giving-rest to you. ²⁹ Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, because I am meek and humble in heart and you will be finding rest for your souls.

³² He is a light for revelation of the Gentiles and the glory of your people Israel.

⁹ He was the true light coming into the world, the light which illuminates every man.

¹² Therefore, again Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world. He who is following me may never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.

⁵ Whenever I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

⁴⁶ I have come like a light into the world, in order that everyone who believes in me may not remain in the darkness.

¹⁸ to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light, and from the authority of the Adversary to God, in order for them to receive forgiveness of sins, and an inheritance among those who have been made holy in faith, the faith in me.

¹⁷ and they did not know the way of peace.’

⁸ For you were previously in darkness, but now you^\'b0 are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light

⁴ But brethren, you are not in darkness, in order that the day might overtake you like a thief. ⁵ You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night, nor of darkness;

⁵ And this is the message which we have heard from him and are reporting to you, that God is light and there is no darkness in him–none at all. ⁶ If we should say that we have fellowship with him and then should walk in the darkness, we are lying to ourselves, and we are not practicing the truth. ⁷ But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son is cleansing us from every sin.

¹⁹ And Samuel grew and Jehovah was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground. ²⁰ And all Israel from Dan even to Beer-sheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of Jehovah.

¹ Now in those days John the Immerser comes, preaching in the wilderness of Judea,

⁷ Now while these disciples are traveling on, Jesus began to say to the crowds concerning John, What did you come out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?

⁵² And Jesus was progressing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.

³¹ And I did not know him, but in order that he should be manifested to Israel. I came immersing in water because of this.
