You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the end of the Lord, how that he is very affectionate and compassionate.

⁹ I John, your brother and partner in the affliction and the kingdom and the endurance which are in Christ Jesus, happened to be on the island called Patmos, because of the word of God and because of the testimony of Jesus Christ.
