¹⁵ Therefore, whenever you behold the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place, (let the one who is reading perceive),

⁴ And the man said to me, Son of man, behold with your eyes and hear with your ears and set your heart upon all that I will show you. For you are brought here to the intent that I may show them to you. Declare all that you see to the house of Israel.

²³ At the beginning of your supplications the commandment went forth and I have come to tell you, for you are a great delight. Therefore consider the matter and understand the vision.

²⁵ Know therefore and discern, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem to the anointed one, the Prince, will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It will be built again, with street and moat, even in troublesome times.

²⁷ And he will make a firm covenant with many for one week. And in the midst of the week he will cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. And upon the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate. And even to the full end and that determined, wrath will be poured out upon the desolate.

¹² Then he said to me, Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard. And I have come for your words' sake.
¹³ But the ruler of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days, but behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me. And I remained there with the kings of Persia. ¹⁴ I have come now to make you understand what will befall your people in the latter days, for the vision is yet for many days.

³¹ And forces will stand on his part and they will profane the sanctuary, even the fortress and will take away the continual burnt offering and they will set up the abomination that makes desolate.

¹¹ And from the time that the continual burnt offering will be taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there will be a thousand and two hundred and ninety days.

¹⁴ But whenever you behold the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet standing where it ought not to be (let the one who is reading perceive), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains;

⁴³ Because the days will be coming upon you, and your enemies will put a military-barrier around you and will surround you, and will crowd you on every-side,

²⁰ But whenever you behold Jerusalem surrounded by encamped armies, then know that her desolation has drawn near.

⁴⁸ If we allow him to continue so; all will believe in him. And the Romans will be coming and taking away both our place and the nation.

¹³ And false witnesses stood up, who said, This man is not ceasing to speak blasphemous declarations against this holy place and the law;

²⁸ crying out, Men, Israelites, help! This one is the man who is teaching all people everywhere, against the Jewish people and the law and this place, and even more, he led Greeks into the temple and has desecrated this holy place.

¹ Because of this, we ought to take-heed even-more to the things which were heard, lest we might drift away.

³ The fortunate one reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy and are keeping the things which have been written in it; for the time is near.

²² He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the congregations.
