Deuteronomy 4:5-6

5 Behold, I have taught you* statutes and ordinances, even as Jehovah my God commanded me, that you* should do so in the midst of the land where you* go in to possess it. 6 Keep therefore and do them, for this is your* wisdom and your* understanding in the sight of the peoples, who will hear all these statutes and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

1 Kings 3:9-12

9 Give your servant therefore an understanding heart to judge your people, that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to judge this your great people?
10 And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. 11 And God said to him, Because you have asked this thing and have not asked for yourself long life, neither have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice, 12 behold, I have done according to your word. Behold, I have given you a wise and an understanding heart, so that there has been none like you before you, neither after you will any arise like you.

Proverbs 4:5-7

5 Get wisdom, get understanding. Do not forget, nor decline from the words of my mouth. 6 Do not forsake her and she will preserve you. Love her and she will keep you.
7 Wisdom is the principal thing. Get wisdom, yes, get understanding with all your substance.

Proverbs 7:4

16 How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! Yes, to get understanding is rather to be chosen than silver.

16 Why is there a price in the hand of a fool to buy wisdom, since he has no understanding?

2 Timothy 3:15-17

15 And you have known, that from a baby, the sacred Scriptures which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All Scripture is God breathed and is profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for education which is in righteousness, 17 in order that the man of God may be equipped, having been utterly equipped for every good work.
