¹ Then again I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, a flying roll. ² And he said to me, What do you see? And I answered, I see a flying roll. The length of it is twenty cubits and the breadth of it ten cubits.
³ Then he said to me, This is the curse that goes forth over the face of the whole land. For everyone who steals will be cut off on the one side according to it and everyone who swears will be cut off on the other side according to it. ⁴ I will cause it to go forth, says Jehovah of hosts and it will enter into the house of the thief and into the house of him who swears falsely by my name. And it will abide in the midst of his house and will consume it, with the timber of it and the stones of it.
⁵ Then the messenger who talked with me went forth and said to me, Lift up now your eyes and see what this is that goes forth. ⁶ And I said, What is it? And he said, This is the ephah that goes forth. He said moreover, This is their appearance in all the land ⁷ (and, behold, a talant of lead was lifted up) and this is a woman sitting in the midst of the ephah. ⁸ And he said, This is Wickedness. And he cast her down into the midst of the ephah and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth of it.
⁹ Then I lifted up my eyes and looked. And behold, there came out two women and the wind was in their wings. Now they had wings like the wings of a stork and they lifted up the ephah between earth and heaven. ¹⁰ Then I said to the messenger who talked with me, Where do these carry the ephah? ¹¹ And he said to me, To build her a house in the land of Shinar. And when it is prepared, she will be set there in her own place.

¹ And Jehovah said to me, You take a great tablet and write upon it with the pen of a man, To Make Haste to Plunder! Hurry to the Spoil!

¹ And it happened in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, that this word came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying, ² You take a roll of a book and write in it all the words that I have spoken to you against Israel and against Judah and against all the nations, from the day I spoke to you, from the days of Josiah, even to this day.
³ It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do to them, that they may return every man from his evil way, that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.
⁴ Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah. And Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of Jehovah, which he had spoken to him, upon a roll of a book. ⁵ And Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I am shut up. I cannot go into the house of Jehovah.
⁶ Therefore go and read in the roll, which you have written from my mouth, the words of Jehovah in the ears of the people in Jehovah's house upon the fast-day. And also you will read them in the ears of all Judah who come out of their cities.

²⁰ And they went in to the king into the court, but they had laid up the roll in the chamber of Elishama the scribe and they told all the words in the ears of the king. ²¹ So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll and he took it out of the chamber of Elishama the scribe. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king and in the ears of all the rulers who stood beside the king.
²² Now the king was sitting in the winter house in the ninth month and the brazier was burning before him. ²³ And it happened, when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, that the king cut it with the penknife and cast it into the fire that was in the brazier, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that was in the brazier.
²⁴ And they were not afraid, nor tore their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants who heard all these words.

²⁷ Then the word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah after the king had burned the roll and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying, ²⁸ You take again another roll and write in it all the former words that were in the first roll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah has burned.
²⁹ And concerning Jehoiakim king of Judah you will say, Jehovah says thus: You have burned this roll, saying, Why have you written in it, saying, The king of Babylon will certainly come and destroy this land and will cause to cease from there man and beast?
³⁰ Therefore Jehovah says thus concerning Jehoiakim king of Judah: He will have none to sit upon the throne of David. And his dead body will be cast out in the day to the heat and in the night to the frost. ³¹ And I will punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity. And I will bring upon them and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem and upon the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them, but they did not listen.
³² Then Jeremiah took another roll and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah, who wrote in it from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire and there were added besides to them many like words.

⁹ And when I looked, behold, a hand was put forth to me, and behold, a roll of a book was in it, ¹⁰ And he spread it before me and it was written inside and outside. And there were written in it lamentations and mourning and woe.

² And he said to me, What do you see? And I answered, I see a flying roll. The length of it is twenty cubits and the breadth of it ten cubits.

¹ And I saw upon the right hand of the one who sits upon the throne a book having been written inside and on the back, having been sealed with seven seals. ² And I saw a strong messenger preaching with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book and to loose its seals? ³ And no one in the heaven or upon the earth or underneath the earth, was able to open the book or to look in it. ⁴ And I was weeping much, because no one was found worthy to open and to read the book or to look in it. ⁵ And one out of the elders says to me, Do not weep; behold, the Lion who is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome, so as to open the book and its seven seals. ⁶ And I saw in the middle of the throne and the four living creatures and in the middle of the elders, a Lamb standing, as one having been slaughtered, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God, being sent into all the earth. ⁷ And he came and has taken it out of the right hand of the one who sits upon the throne. ⁸ And when he took the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down in the Lamb’s sight, each one having a harp and golden bowls full of incenses, which are the prayers of the holy-ones. ⁹ And they are singing a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the book and to open its seals, because you were slaughtered and bought us in your blood for God out of every tribe and language and people and nation.
¹⁰ And you made them kings and priests to our God, and they will be reigning over the earth.
¹¹ And I saw and I heard a voice like that of many messengers in circle of the throne and the living creatures and the elders, tens of thousands of tens of thousands; ¹² saying in a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb who has been slaughtered to receive the power and the riches, and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and thanks. ¹³ And every created thing which is in the heaven and upon the earth and underneath the earth and upon the sea and all things in them, I heard saying, To the one who is sitting upon the throne and to the Lamb, is the thanks and the honor and the glory and the dominion, forevermore. Amen.
¹⁴ And the four living creatures are saying the amen; and the elders fell down and worshiped him.

² and having, a book in his hand, which has been opened and he placed his right foot upon the sea and his left upon the earth;

⁸ And the voice which I heard from heaven, I heard it again speaking with me and saying, Go, take the book which has been opened in the hand of the messenger who is standing upon the sea and upon the earth. ⁹ And I went to the messenger, saying to him that he should give me the book.
And he says to me, Take it and devour it, and it will make your belly bitter, but it will be sweet like honey in your mouth. ¹⁰ And I took the book out of the messenger’s hand and devoured it, and it was sweet as honey in my mouth and when I ate it, my belly was made bitter.
¹¹ And they are saying to me, It is essential for you to prophesy again over many peoples and nations and languages and many kings.

¹¹ And the earth was corrupt before God and the earth was filled with violence. ¹² And God saw the earth and behold, it was corrupt, because all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.
¹³ And God said to Noah, The end of all flesh has come before me, because the earth is filled with violence through them and behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

¹¹ Moreover the word of Jehovah came to me, saying, Jeremiah, what do you see? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. ¹² Then Jehovah said to me, You have well seen. For I watch over my word to perform it.
¹³ And the word of Jehovah came to me the second time, saying, What do you see? And I said, I see a boiling caldron and the face of it is from the north. ¹⁴ Then Jehovah said to me, Out of the north evil will break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.

⁸ And Jehovah said to me, Amos, what do you see? And I said, A plumb-line. Then the Lord said, Behold, I will set a plumb-line in the midst of my people Israel. I will not again pass by them any more.

¹⁴ The great day of Jehovah is near. It is near and hastens greatly, the voice of the day of Jehovah. The mighty man cries there bitterly.

² And he said to me, What do you see? And I said, I have seen, and behold, a lamp-stand all of gold, with its bowl upon the top of it and its seven lamps on it. There are seven pipes to each of the lamps, which are upon the top of it,

³ And in their greed, they will be merchants of you with fabricated words; to whom the condemnation from long-ago is not idle, and their destruction will not be slumbering.

⁵ because her sins were joined to her even up to heaven and God has remembered her wrongdoing.

¹⁵ You will not steal.

¹² And you* will not swear by my name falsely and profane the name of your God. I am Jehovah.

²⁸ and the curse, if you* will not listen to the commandments of Jehovah your* God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you* this day to go after other gods, which you* have not known.
²⁹ And it will happen, when Jehovah your God will bring you into the land where you go to possess it, that you will set the blessing upon Mount Gerizim and the curse upon Mount Ebal.

¹⁵ Cursed be the man who makes a graven or molten image, an abomination to Jehovah, the work of the hands of the craftsman and sets it up in secret. And all the people will answer and say, Truly.
¹⁶ Cursed be he who dishonors his father or his mother. And all the people will say, Truly.
¹⁷ Cursed be he who removes his neighbor's landmark. And all the people will say, Truly.
¹⁸ Cursed be he who makes the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people will say, Truly.
¹⁹ Cursed be he who distorts the justice to the traveler, fatherless and widow. And all the people will say, Truly.
²⁰ Cursed be he who lies with his father's wife, because he has uncovered his father's skirt. And all the people will say, Truly.
²¹ Cursed be he who lies with any manner of beast. And all the people will say, Truly.
²² Cursed be he who lies with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people will say, Truly.
²³ Cursed be he who lies with his mother-in-law. And all the people will say, Truly.
²⁴ Cursed be he who slays his neighbor in secret. And all the people will say, Truly.
²⁵ Cursed be he who takes a bribe to kill an innocent man. And all the people will say, Truly.
²⁶ Cursed is every man who does not continue in all things written in the book of the law, to do them. And all the people will say, Truly.

¹⁵ But it will happen, if you will not listen to the voice of Jehovah your God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command you this day, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:
¹⁶ You will be cursed in the city and you will be cursed in the field. ¹⁷ Your basket and your kneading-trough will be cursed. ¹⁸ The fruit of your body and the fruit of your ground, the increase of your cattle and the young of your flock will be cursed. ¹⁹ You will be cursed when you come in and you be will cursed when you go out. ²⁰ Jehovah will send upon you cursing, confusion and rebuke, in all that you put your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the evil of your practices, by which you have forsaken me.
²¹ Jehovah will make the pestilence cling to you, until he has consumed you from the land, where you go in to possess it. ²² Jehovah will kill* you with consumption and with fever and with inflammation and with fiery heat and with the sword and with blight and with mildew. And they will pursue you until you perish.
²³ And your sky that is over your head will be brass and the earth that is under you will be iron. ²⁴ Jehovah will make the rain of your land powder and dust. From the sky it will come down upon you, until you are destroyed.
²⁵ Jehovah will cause you to be struck before your enemies. You will go out one way against them and will flee seven ways before them. And you will be tossed to and fro among all the kingdoms of the earth. ²⁶ And your dead body will be food to all birds of the sky and to the beasts of the earth and there will be none to frighten them away.
²⁷ Jehovah will kill* you with the boils of Egypt and with the tumors and with the scurvy and with the itch, of which you cannot be healed.
²⁸ Jehovah will kill* you with madness and with blindness and with confusion of mind, ²⁹ and you will grope at noonday, as the blind man gropes in darkness. And you will not prosper in your ways. And you will only be oppressed and robbed always and there will be none to save you.
³⁰ You will betroth a wife and another man will lie with her. You will build a house and you will not dwell in it. You will plant a vineyard and will not use the fruit of it. ³¹ Your ox will be slain before your eyes and you will not eat of it. Your donkey will be violently taken away from before your face and will not be restored to you. Your sheep will be given to your enemies and you will have none to save you. ³² Your sons and your daughters will be given to another people. And your eyes will look and fail with longing for them all the day and there will be nothing in the power of your hand. ³³ The fruit of your ground and all your labors, will a nation eat up which you do not know. And you will only be oppressed and crushed always, ³⁴ so that you will be mad because of the sight of your eyes which you will see.
³⁵ Jehovah will kill* you in the knees and in the legs, with a sore boil, of which you cannot be healed, from the sole of your foot to the crown of your head.
³⁶ Jehovah will bring you and your king whom you will set over you, to a nation that you have not known, you nor your fathers. And there you will serve other gods, wood and stone. ³⁷ And you will become an astonishment, a proverb and a parable, among all the peoples where Jehovah will lead you away.
³⁸ You will carry much seed out into the field and will gather little in, for the locust will consume it. ³⁹ You will plant vineyards and dress them, but you will neither drink of the wine, nor gather, for the worm will eat them. ⁴⁰ You will have olive trees throughout all your borders, but you will not anoint yourself with the oil, for your olive will drop off. ⁴¹ You will beget sons and daughters, but they will not be your, for they will go into captivity. ⁴² All your trees and the fruit of your ground will the locust possess.
⁴³ The traveler who is in the midst of you will mount up above you higher and higher and you will come down lower and lower. ⁴⁴ He will lend to you and you will not lend to him. He will be the head and you will be the tail.
⁴⁵ And all these curses will come upon you and will pursue you and overtake you, till you are destroyed, because you listened not to the voice of Jehovah your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded you, ⁴⁶ and they will be upon you for a sign and for a wonder and upon your seed everlasting. ⁴⁷ Because you served not Jehovah your God with joyfulness and with gladness of heart, by reason of the abundance of all things, ⁴⁸ therefore you will serve your enemies that Jehovah will send against you, in hunger and in thirst and in nakedness and in want of all things. And he will put a yoke of iron upon your neck, until he has destroyed you.
⁴⁹ Jehovah will bring a nation against you from far, from the end of the earth, as the eagle flies, a nation whose tongue you will not understand, ⁵⁰ a nation of fierce countenance, that will not regard the person of the old, nor show favor to the young, ⁵¹ and will eat the fruit of your cattle and the fruit of your ground, until you are destroyed, that also will not leave you grain, new wine, or oil, the increase of your cattle, or the young of your flock, until they have caused you to perish. ⁵² And they will besiege you in all your gates, until your high and fortified walls come down, in which you trusted, throughout all your land. And they will besiege you in all your gates throughout all your land, which Jehovah your God has given you.
⁵³ And you will eat the fruit of your own body, the flesh of your sons and of your daughters, whom Jehovah your God has given you, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemies will distress you. ⁵⁴ The man who is tender among you* and very delicate, his eye will be evil toward his brother and toward the wife of his bosom and toward the remnant of his sons whom he has remaining, ⁵⁵ so that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his sons whom he will eat, because he has nothing left to him, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemy will distress you in all your gates.
⁵⁶ The tender and delicate woman among you*, who would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye will be evil toward the husband of her bosom and toward her son and toward her daughter, ⁵⁷ and toward her young one who comes out from between her feet and toward her sons whom she will bear, for she will eat them secretly for want of all things, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemy will distress you in your gates.
⁵⁸ If you will not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and fearful name, JEHOVAH YOUR GOD, ⁵⁹ then Jehovah will make your calamities extraordinary and the calamities of your seed, even great calamities and of long continuance and severe sicknesses and of long continuance.
⁶⁰ And he will bring upon you again all the diseases of Egypt, which you were afraid of and they will cling to you. ⁶¹ Also every sickness and every calamity, which is not written in the book of this law, them Jehovah will bring upon you, until you are destroyed. ⁶² And you* will be left few in number, in that you* were as the stars of heaven for multitude, because you did not listen to the voice of Jehovah your God.
⁶³ And it will happen, that, as Jehovah rejoiced over you* to do you* good and to multiply you*, so Jehovah will rejoice over you* to cause you* to perish and to destroy you*. And you* will be plucked from the land where you go in to possess it.
⁶⁴ And Jehovah will scatter you among all peoples, from the one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth. And you will serve other gods there, which you have not known, you nor your fathers, even wood and stone ones.
⁶⁵ And among these nations you will find no ease and there will be no rest for the sole of your foot, but Jehovah will give you there a trembling heart and failing of eyes and pining of soul. ⁶⁶ And your life will hang in doubt before you and you will fear night and day and will have no assurance of your life. ⁶⁷ In the morning you will say, Would it were evening! and at evening you will say, Would it were morning! for the fear of your heart which you will fear and for the sight of your eyes which you will see. ⁶⁸ And Jehovah will bring you into Egypt again with ships, by the way of which I said to you, You will see it no more again. And there you* will sell yourselves to your* enemies for bondmen and for bondwomen and no man will buy you*.

¹⁹ and it happens, when he hears the words of this curse, that he graces himself in his heart, saying, I will have peace, though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart, to destroy the moist with the dry.
²⁰ Jehovah will not pardon him, but then the anger of Jehovah and his jealousy will smoke against that man and all the curse that is written in this book will lie upon him and Jehovah will blot out his name from under heaven. ²¹ And Jehovah will set him apart to evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that is written in this book of the law.
²² And the generation to come, your* sons who will rise up after you* and the foreigner who will come from a far land, will say, when they see the calamities of that land and the sicknesses with which Jehovah has made it sick. ²³ The whole land of it is brimstone and salt, a burning. It is not sown, nor bears, nor any grass grows in it, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which Jehovah overthrew in his anger and in his wrath, ²⁴ even all the nations will say, Why has Jehovah done thus to this land? What is the meaning of the heat of this great anger?
²⁵ Then men will say, Because they forsook the covenant of Jehovah, the God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, ²⁶ and went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods that they did not know and that he had not given to them. ²⁷ Therefore the anger of Jehovah was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curse that is written in this book. ²⁸ And Jehovah rooted them out of their land in anger and in wrath and in great indignation and cast them into another land, as at this day.

¹⁷ Yes, he loved cursing and it came to him. And he did not delight in blessing and it was far from him.
¹⁸ He also clothed himself with cursing as with his garment and it came into his inward parts like water and like oil into his bones. ¹⁹ Let it be to him as the garments with which he covers himself and for the belt with which he is girded continually.
²⁰ This is the reward of my adversaries from Jehovah and of those who speak evil against my soul.

³³ The curse of Jehovah is in the house of a wicked man, but he graces the habitation of the righteous.

²⁴ He who is partner with a thief, hates his own soul; he hears the oath at trial and utters nothing.

⁹ lest I am full and deny you and say, Who is Jehovah? or lest I am poor and steal and use the name of my God profanely.

⁶ Therefore the curse has devoured the earth and those who dwell in it are found guilty. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned and few men left.

²⁸ Therefore I will profane the rulers of the sanctuary and I will make Jacob a curse and Israel a reviling.

¹ Hear this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel and have come forth out of the waters of Judah, who swear by the name of Jehovah and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness

² And though they say, As Jehovah lives, surely they swear falsely.

⁹ Will you* steal, murder and commit adultery and swear falsely and burn incense to Baal and walk after other gods that you* have not known,

¹⁰ For the land is full of adulterers. For because of swearing the land mourns. The pastures of the wilderness are dried up. And their course is evil and their might is not right.

⁶ then I will make this house like Shiloh and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.

¹³ And he took of the seed royal and made a covenant with him. He also brought him under an oath and took away the mighty of the land, ¹⁴ that the kingdom might be base, that it might not lift itself up, but that by keeping his covenant it might stand.
¹⁵ But he rebelled against him in sending his ambassadors into Egypt that they might give him horses and many people. Shall he prosper? Shall he escape who does such things? Shall he break the covenant and yet escape?
¹⁶ As I live, says the lord Jehovah, surely in the place where the king dwells who made him king, whose oath he despised and whose covenant he broke, even with him in the midst of Babylon he will die.

¹¹ Yes, all Israel have transgressed your law, even turning aside, that they should not obey your voice. Therefore the curse has been poured out upon us and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God. For we have sinned against him.

² There is nothing but swearing and breaking faith and killing and stealing and committing adultery. They break out and blood touches blood.

⁴ I will cause it to go forth, says Jehovah of hosts and it will enter into the house of the thief and into the house of him who swears falsely by my name. And it will abide in the midst of his house and will consume it, with the timber of it and the stones of it.

¹⁷ And let none of you* devise evil in your* hearts against his neighbor and love no false oath. For all these are things that I hate, says Jehovah.

⁵ And I will come near to you* to judgment and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers and against the adulterers and against the false swearers and against those who oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow and the fatherless and who turn aside the traveler and do not fear me, says Jehovah of hosts.

⁸ Will a man rob God? Yet you* rob me. But you* say, How have we robbed you? In tithes and offerings. ⁹ You* are cursed with the curse, for you* rob me, even this whole nation. ¹⁰ Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house and prove me now with this, says Jehovah of hosts, if I will not open to you* the windows of heaven and pour you* out a blessing, that there will not be room enough for it.

⁶ And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the sons and the heart of the sons to their fathers, lest I come and kill* the earth with a curse.

³³ Again, you have heard that it was said to the ancients, ‘You will not perjure yourself, but will be giving your oaths to the Lord.’ ³⁴ But I am saying to you, Not to swear in anyway; neither by the heaven, because it is the throne of God; ³⁵ nor by the earth, because it is the footstool of his feet; nor in Jerusalem, because it is the city of the Great King, ³⁶ nor should you swear by your head, because you are unable to make one hair white or black. ³⁷ But let your word be, a Yes, yes; a No, no; and whatever is more-than these, is from the evil one.

¹⁶ Woe to you, you blind guides, that say, Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing, but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obligated. ¹⁷ You are foolish and blind; for which is greater, the gold, or the temple that makes the gold holy? ¹⁸ And, Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing, but whoever swears by the gift which is upon it, he is obligated. ¹⁹ You^\'b0 are foolish and blind; for which is greater, the gift, or the altar that makes the gift holy? ²⁰ Therefore, he who swears by the altar swears by it, and by all things upon it. ²¹ And he who swears by the temple, swears by it, and in the one who has dwelt in it. ²² And he who has sworn by the heaven, swears by the throne of God, and in the one who is sitting upon it.

⁴¹ Then he will also say to them at the left, Travel away from me, you those who have been cursed into the everlasting fire which has been prepared for the devil and his messengers:

³⁵ for it will be coming like a snare upon all those sitting upon the face of all the earth.

⁷ Therefore, it is indeed already a literal loss to you, that you have lawsuits with yourselves. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded? ⁸ But instead you yourselves do wrong and defraud, and you^\'b0 do these things to brethren.
⁹ Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not be inheriting the kingdom of God? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor pedophiles, nor homosexuals,

¹⁰ For as many as are from the works of the law are under a curse; for it has been written, ‘Cursed is everyone who is not remaining in all things which have been written in the book of the law, and to practice them.’ ¹¹ Now it is evident that no one is made righteous in the law before God, because, ‘The righteous will be living from faith.’ ¹² Now the law is not from faith, but, ‘The man who does them will live in them.’ ¹³ Christ bought us up out of the curse of the law, having become a curse on our behalf; for it has been written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs upon a tree,’

²⁸ Let the one who steals, steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working at what is the good thing with his hands, in order that he may have something to give to the one who has need.

⁹ knowing this: that law is not laid down for the righteous, but for the lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for killers of their fathers and killers of their mothers, for murderers,

⁶ and then having fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, because they are again crucifying for themselves the Son of God and disgracing him. ⁷ For the soil, which drank the rainfall, when it has come often upon her, and is bearing forth vegetation fit for those because of whom it is also cultivated, receives blessing from God. ⁸ But when it is bringing forth thorns and thistles, it is unapproved and near to a curse; whose end is for burning.

⁴ Behold, the wages of the workers who mowed your farmlands, the wages which have been defrauded by you, are crying out against you and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Hosts.

¹² My brethren, but before all things, do not swear, neither by the heaven, nor by the earth, nor by any other oath, but let your yes be yes and your no be no; in order that you may not fall into hypocrisy.

⁸ But to the cowardly and unbelieving and sinners and detestable and murderers and fornicators and sorcerers and idolaters and to all the false witnesses, their part will be in the lake which is burning with fire and brimstone; which is the second death.

¹⁵ The dogs and the sorcerers and the fornicators and the murderers and the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices a lie are outside.

³⁴ When you* have come into the land of Canaan, which I give to you* for a possession and I put a leprous disease in a house of the land of your* possession, ³⁵ then he who owns the house will come and tell the priest, saying, There seems to me to be as it were a disease in the house. ³⁶ And the priest will command that they empty the house before the priest goes in to see the disease, that all that is in the house not be made unclean. And afterward the priest will go in to see the house, ³⁷ and he will look on the disease. And behold, if the disease is in the walls of the house with hollow streaks, greenish or reddish and the appearance of it is deeper than the wall surface, ³⁸ then the priest will go out of the house to the door of the house and shut up the house seven days.
³⁹ And the priest will come again the seventh day and will look. And behold, if the disease has spread in the walls of the house, ⁴⁰ then the priest will command that they take out the stones in which the disease is and cast them into an unclean place outside the city. ⁴¹ And he will cause the house to be scraped inside all around and they will pour out the mortar, that they scrape off, outside the city into an unclean place. ⁴² And they will take other stones and put them in the place of those stones. And he will take other mortar and will plaster the house.
⁴³ And if the disease comes again and breaks out in the house, after he has taken out the stones and after he has scraped the house and after it is plastered, ⁴⁴ then the priest will come in and look. And behold, if the disease has spread in the house, it is a prickling leprosy in the house; it is unclean. ⁴⁵ And he will break down the house, the stones of it and the timber of it and all the mortar of the house and he will carry them forth out of the city into an unclean place.

²⁶ And you will not bring an abomination into your house and become a devoted thing like it. You will make it an abomination and you will utterly abhor it, for it is a cursed thing.

¹⁵ There will dwell in his tent what is none of his. Brimstone will be scattered upon his habitation.

²⁶ All darkness is laid up for his treasures. A fire not blown will devour him. It will consume what is left in his tent.

⁹ Woe to him who gets an evil gain for his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the hand of evil! ¹⁰ You have devised shame to your house, by cutting off many peoples and have sinned against your soul. ¹¹ For the stone will cry out of the wall and the beam out of the timber will answer it.

² Your riches have rotted and your garments have become moth-eaten. ³ Your gold and silver have tarnished, and their tarnish will be for a testimony against you and will be eating your flesh like fire. You have stored up treasure in your^\'b0 last days.

⁹ Then I said, O my lord, what are these? And the messenger who talked with me said to me, I will show you what these are.

¹⁴ So the messenger who talked with me said to me, Cry, saying, Jehovah of hosts says thus: I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.

¹⁹ And I said to the messenger who talked with me, What are these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel and Jerusalem.

³ And behold, the messenger who talked with me went forth. And another messenger went out to meet him,

⁵ Then the messenger who talked with me answered and said to me, Do you not know what these are? And I said, No, my lord.

¹⁰ But the Levites who went far from me, when Israel went-astray, who went-astray from me after their idols, they will bear their iniquity. ¹¹ Yet they will be ministers in my sanctuary, having oversight at the gates of the house and ministering in the house. They will kill the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people and they will stand before them to minister to them.

⁵ saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell grain? And the Sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small and the shekel great and dealing falsely with balances of deceit,

¹ The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw.

¹ The burden of Moab. For in a night Ar of Moab is laid waste, and brought to nothing. For in a night Kir of Moab is laid waste, and brought to nothing.

¹¹ You* also made a reservoir between the two walls for the water of the old pool. But you* did not look to him who had done this, nor had you* respect to him who purposed it long ago.

¹ They say, If a man puts away his wife and she goes from him and become another man's, will he return to her again? Will not that land be greatly polluted? But you have played the prostitute with many lovers. Yet return again to me, says Jehovah.
² Lift up your eyes to the bare heights and see. Where have you not been lain with? By the ways you have sat for them, as an Arabian in the wilderness and you have polluted the land with your prostitutions and with your wickedness.

¹ Again the word of Jehovah came to me, saying, ² Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations, ³ and say, The lord Jehovah says thus to Jerusalem: Your birth and your nativity is from the land of the Canaanite. The Amorite was your father and your mother was a Hittite.
⁴ And as for your nativity, in the day you were born your navel was not cut, nor were you washed in water to cleanse you. You were not salted at all, nor swaddled at all. ⁵ No eye pitied you, to do any of these things to you, to have compassion upon you, but you were cast out in the open field. For with loathing of your soul in the day you were born.
⁶ And when I passed by you and saw you treading in your blood, I said to you, Live in your blood! Yes, I said to you, Live in your blood! ⁷ I caused you to multiply as what grows in the field and you increased and grew great. And you attained to excellent ornament, your breasts were fashioned and your hair was grown. Yet you were naked and bare.
⁸ Now when I passed by you and looked upon you, behold, your time was the time of love. And I spread my skirt over you and covered your nakedness. Yes, I swore to you and entered into a covenant with you, says the lord Jehovah and you became mine.
⁹ Then I washed you with water. Yes, I thoroughly washed away your blood from you and I anointed you with oil. ¹⁰ I also clothed you with embroidered work and shod you with a certain skin. And I girded you around with fine linen and covered you with silk. ¹¹ And I decked you with ornaments and I put bracelets upon your hands and a chain on your neck. ¹² And I put a ring upon your nose and earrings in your ears and a beautiful crown upon your head.
¹³ Thus you were decked with gold and silver and your garments was of fine linen and silk and embroidered work. You ate fine flour and honey and oil.
And you were very beautiful and you prospered to royalty. ¹⁴ And your renown went forth among the nations for your beauty. For it was perfect, through my majesty which I had put upon you, says the lord Jehovah.
¹⁵ But you trusted in your beauty and played the prostitute because of your renown and poured out your prostitutions on everyone who passed by; his it was. ¹⁶ And you took of your garments and made high places for you, decked with various colors and played the prostitute upon them, things which should not come, nor should it be.
¹⁷ You also took your fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given you and made for you images of men and played the prostitute with them. ¹⁸ And you took your embroidered garments and covered them and set my oil and my incense before them. ¹⁹ My bread also which I gave you, fine flour and oil and honey, with which I fed you, you even set it before them for a sweet aroma and thus it was, says the lord Jehovah.
²⁰ Moreover you have taken your sons and your daughters, whom you have borne to me and you have sacrificed these to them to be devoured. Were your prostitutions a small matter, ²¹ that you have slain my children and delivered them up, in causing them to pass through the fire to them?
²² And in all your abominations and your prostitutions you have not remembered the days of your youth when you were naked and bare and were weltering in your blood.
²³ And it has happen according to all your wickedness, (woe, woe to you! says the lord Jehovah), ²⁴ that you have built yourself a vaulted place and have made you a lofty place in every street. ²⁵ You have built your lofty place at the head of every way and have made your beauty an abomination. And have opened your feet to everyone who passed by and multiplied your prostitution. ²⁶ You have also committed fornication with the Egyptians, your neighbors, great of flesh and have multiplied your prostitution, to provoke me to anger.
²⁷ Behold therefore, I have stretched out my hand over you and have diminished your portion and delivered you to the will of those who hate you, the daughters of the Philistines, who are ashamed of your lewd way. ²⁸ You have played the prostitute also with the Assyrians, because you were insatiable. Yes, you have played the prostitute with them and yet you were not satisfied. ²⁹ You have moreover multiplied your prostitution to the land of traffic, to Chaldea and yet you were not satisfied with this.
³⁰ How weak is your heart, says the lord Jehovah, seeing you do all these things, the work of an impudent prostitute, ³¹ in that you build your vaulted place at the head of every way and make your lofty place in every street. And have not even been as a prostitute, in that you scorn hire. ³² A wife who commits adultery, who takes strangers instead of her husband!
³³ They give gifts to all prostitutes, but you give your gifts to all your lovers and bribe them, that they may come to you on every side for your prostitutions. ³⁴ And you are different from other women in your prostitutions, in that none follows you to play the prostitute. And in your giving a hire and no hire is given to you, therefore you are different.
³⁵ Therefore, O prostitute, hear the word of Jehovah. ³⁶ The lord Jehovah says thus: Because your filthiness was poured out and your nakedness uncovered through your prostitutions with your lovers and because of all the idols of your abominations and for the blood of your sons, that you gave to them, ³⁷ therefore, behold, I will gather all your lovers, with whom you have taken pleasure and all those whom you have loved, with all those whom you have hated, I will even gather them against you on every side. And I will uncover your nakedness to them, that they may see all your nakedness.
³⁸ And I will judge you, as women who break wedlock and shed blood are judged. And I will bring upon you the blood of wrath and jealousy. ³⁹ I will also give you into their hand and they will throw down your vaulted place and break down your lofty places. And they will strip you of your clothes and take your fair jewels and they will leave you naked and bare.
⁴⁰ They will also bring up a company against you and they will stone you with stones and thrust you through with their swords. ⁴¹ And they will burn your houses with fire and execute judgments upon you in the sight of many women. And I will cause you to cease from playing the prostitute and you will also give no wage any more. ⁴² So I will cause my wrath toward you to rest and my jealousy will depart from you and I will be quiet and will no more be angry.
⁴³ Because you have not remembered the days of your youth, but have raged against me in all these things, therefore, behold, I also will bring your way upon your head, says the lord Jehovah. And you will not commit this lewdness with all your abominations.
⁴⁴ Behold, everyone who uses proverbs will use this proverb against you, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter. ⁴⁵ You are the daughter of your mother, who loathes her husband and her sons. And you are the sister of your sisters, who loathed their husbands and their sons. Your* mother was a Hittite and your* father an Amorite. ⁴⁶ And your elder sister is Samaria, who dwells at your left hand, she and her daughters. And your younger sister, who dwells at your right hand, is Sodom and her daughters.
⁴⁷ Yet you have not walked in their ways, nor done according to their abominations, but, like it was a very little thing, you were more corrupt than they in all your ways.
⁴⁸ As I live, says the lord Jehovah, Sodom your sister has not done, she nor her daughters, as you have done, you and your daughters. ⁴⁹ Behold, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: pride, fullness of bread and prosperous ease was in her and in her daughters and she did not strengthen the hand of a poor and needy man. ⁵⁰ And they were haughty and committed abomination before me. Therefore I took them away as I saw fit.
⁵¹ Neither has Samaria committed half of your sins, but you have multiplied your abominations more than they and have justified your sisters by all your abominations which you have done.
⁵² You also, bear your own shame, in that you have given judgment for your sisters, through your sins that you have committed more abominable than they. They are more righteous than you. Yes, be also confounded and bear your shame, in that you have justified your sisters.
⁵³ And I will turn back again their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters and the captivity of your captives in the midst of them, ⁵⁴ that you may bear your own shame and may be ashamed because of all that you have done, in that you are a comfort to them.
⁵⁵ And your sisters, Sodom and her daughters, will return to their former estate and Samaria and her daughters will return to their former estate and you and your daughters will return to your* former estate.
⁵⁶ For your sister Sodom was not mentioned by your mouth in the day of your pride, ⁵⁷ before your wickedness was uncovered, as at the time of the reproach of the daughters of Syria and of all who are all around her, the daughters of the Philistines, who do despite to you all around. ⁵⁸ You have borne your lewdness and your abominations, says Jehovah.
⁵⁹ For thus says the lord Jehovah: I will also deal with you as you have done, who have despised the oath in breaking the covenant.
⁶⁰ Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with you in the days of your youth and I will establish to you an everlasting covenant. ⁶¹ Then you will remember your ways and be ashamed, when you will receive your sisters, your elder sisters and your younger and I will give them to you for daughters, but not by your covenant.
⁶² And I will establish my covenant with you and you will know that I am Jehovah, ⁶³ that you may remember and be confounded and never open your mouth any more, because of your shame, when I have forgiven you all that you have done, says the lord Jehovah.

¹ The word of Jehovah came again to me, saying, ² Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother. ³ And they played the prostitute in Egypt. They played the prostitute in their youth. There their breasts were pressed and there was handled the bosom of their virginity.
⁴ And the names of them were Oholah the elder and Oholibah her sister. And they became mine and they bore sons and daughters. And as for their names, Samaria is Oholah and Jerusalem Oholibah. ⁵ And Oholah played the prostitute when she was mine and she doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians her neighbors, ⁶ who were clothed with blue, governors and rulers, all of them desirable young men, horsemen riding upon horses. ⁷ And she bestowed her prostitutions upon them, the choicest men of Assyria all of them.
And on whomever she doted, with all their idols she defiled herself. ⁸ Neither has she left her prostitutions since Egypt. For in her youth they lie with her and they handled the bosom of her virginity and they poured out their prostitution upon her.
⁹ Therefore I delivered her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the Assyrians, upon whom she doted. ¹⁰ These uncovered her nakedness. They took her sons and her daughters and they killed her with the sword. And she became a parable among women, for they executed judgments upon her.
¹¹ And her sister Oholibah saw this, yet she was more corrupt in her doting than she and in her prostitutions which were more than the prostitutions of her sister. ¹² She doted upon the Assyrians, governors and rulers, her neighbors, clothed most gorgeously, horsemen riding upon horses, all of them desirable young men. ¹³ And I saw that she was defiled. They both took one way.
¹⁴ And she increased her prostitutions, for she saw men portrayed upon the wall, the images of Chaldeans portrayed with vermilion, ¹⁵ girded with belts upon their loins, with flowing turbans upon their heads, all of them rulers to look upon, according to the likeness of the Babylonians in Chaldea, the land of their nativity.
¹⁶ And as soon as she saw them she doted upon them and sent messengers to them into Chaldea. ¹⁷ And the Babylonians came to her into the bed of love. And they defiled her with their prostitution and she was polluted with them and her soul was alienated from them.
¹⁸ So she uncovered her prostitutions and uncovered her nakedness. Then my soul was alienated from her, just as my soul was alienated from her sister. ¹⁹ Yet she multiplied her prostitutions, remembering the days of her youth in which she had played the prostitute in the land of Egypt. ²⁰ And she doted upon their paramours, whose flesh is as the flesh of donkeys and whose seminal-discharge is like the seminal-discharge of horses.
²¹ Thus you called to remembrance the lewdness of your youth, in the handling of your bosom by the Egyptians for the breasts of your youth.
²² Therefore, O Oholibah, thus says the lord Jehovah: Behold, I will raise up your lovers against you, from whom your soul is alienated and I will bring them against you on every side: ²³ the Babylonians and all the Chaldeans, Pekod and Shoa and Koa and all the Assyrians with them, desirable young men, governors and rulers all of them, rulers and men of renown, all of them riding upon horses. ²⁴ And they will come against you with weapons, chariots and wagons and with a company of peoples. They will set themselves against you with buckler and shield and helmet all around. And I will commit the judgment to them and they will judge you according to their judgments.
²⁵ And I will set my jealousy against you and they will deal with you in fury. They will take away your nose and your ears and your residue will fall by the sword. They will take your sons and your daughters and your residue will be devoured by the fire. ²⁶ They will also strip you of your clothes and take away your fair jewels.
²⁷ Thus I will make your lewdness to cease from you and your prostitution from the land of Egypt, so that you will not lift up your eyes to them, nor remember Egypt any more.
²⁸ For thus says the lord Jehovah: Behold, I will deliver you into the hand of those whom you hate, into the hand of those from whom your soul is alienated. ²⁹ And they will deal with you in hatred and will take away all your labor and will leave you naked and bare. And the nakedness of your prostitutions will be uncovered, both your lewdness and your prostitutions.
³⁰ These things will be done to you, because you have played the prostitute after the nations and because you are polluted with their idols.
³¹ You have walked in the way of your sister, therefore I will give her cup into your hand. ³² The lord Jehovah says thus: You will drink of your sister's cup, which is deep and large. You will be laughed to scorn and have more scorning. It contains much. ³³ You will be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, with the cup of astonishment and desolation, with the cup of your sister Samaria. ³⁴ You will even drink it and drain it out. And you will gnaw the shards of it and will tear your breasts, for I have spoken it, says the lord Jehovah.
³⁵ Therefore thus says the lord Jehovah: Because you have forgotten me and cast me behind your back, therefore you also bear your lewdness and your prostitutions.
³⁶ Jehovah said moreover to me, Son of man, will you judge Oholah and Oholibah? Then declare to them their abominations. ³⁷ For they have committed adultery and blood is in their hands. And with their idols they have committed adultery. And they have also caused their sons, whom they bore to me, to pass through the fire for them to be devoured.
³⁸ Moreover they have done this to me: They have defiled my sanctuary in the same day and have profaned my Sabbaths. ³⁹ For when they had slain their sons to their idols, then they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it, and behold, thus they have done in the midst of my house.
⁴⁰ And furthermore you* have sent for men who come from far, to whom a messenger was sent. And behold, they came, for whom you washed yourself, painted your eyes and decked yourself with ornaments, ⁴¹ and sat upon a stately bed, with a table prepared before it, you did set my incense and my oil upon it.
⁴² And the voice of a multitude being at ease was with her. And with men of the common sort, were brought drunkards from the wilderness and they put bracelets upon the hands of those two women and beautiful crowns upon their heads.
⁴³ Then I said of her who was old in adulteries, Now they will play the prostitute with her and she with them. ⁴⁴ And they went in to her, as they go in to a prostitute. So they went in to Oholah and to Oholibah, the lewd women.
⁴⁵ And righteous men, they will judge them with the judgment of adulteresses and with the judgment of women who shed blood, because they are adulteresses and blood is on their hands.
⁴⁶ For thus says the lord Jehovah: I will bring up a company against them and will give them to be tossed to and fro and robbed. ⁴⁷ And the company will stone them with stones and dispatch them with their swords. They will kill their sons and their daughters and burn up their houses with fire.
⁴⁸ Thus I will cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be instructed not to do according to your* lewdness. ⁴⁹ And they will recompense your* lewdness upon you* and you* will bear the sins of your* idols. And you* will know that I am the lord Jehovah.

¹ The word of Jehovah that came to Hosea the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, King of Israel.
² When Jehovah spoke at the first by Hosea, Jehovah said to Hosea, Go, take to you a wife of prostitution and children of prostitution, for the land commits great prostitution, departing from Jehovah.
³ So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim and she conceived and bore him a son.

¹ And one out of the seven messengers who had the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying, Come-here. I will be showing you the judgment of the great prostitute who is sitting upon many waters; ² with whom the kings of the earth fornicated and those who are dwelling in the earth were made drunken from the wine of her fornication. ³ And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet beast, being full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. ⁴ And the woman having been dressed in purple and scarlet arrayed with gold and precious stone and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup being full of abominations and the unclean things of her fornication of the earth, ⁵ and a name has been written upon her forehead, Mystery, Babylon the Great, the Mother of the Prostitutes and of the Abominations of the Earth. ⁶ And I saw the woman drunken from the blood of the holy-ones and from the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. And I marveled when I saw her– with great marvel! ⁷ And the messenger said to me, Why did you marvel? I will be telling you the mystery of the woman and of the beast bearing her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns. The beast which you saw was and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss and to go into destruction. ⁸ And those who are dwelling upon the earth will be marveling, those whose names have not been written in the Book of Life from the conception of the world, when they see the beast, how that he was and is not and will be present.
⁹ Here is the mind that has wisdom: the seven heads are seven mountains, where the woman is sitting; ¹⁰ and they are seven kings; the five have fallen, the one is, the other has not yet come, and whenever he comes, it is essential for him to remain a few. ¹¹ And the beast which was and is not, is himself also an eighth and is out of the seven, and he is going into destruction. ¹² And the ten horns that you saw are ten kings, who did not yet receive a kingdom, but they receive authority like kings, with the beast, for one hour. ¹³ These have one intention and they are giving their power and authority to the beast. ¹⁴ These will make war with the Lamb and the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those called and chosen and faithful with him. ¹⁵ And he says to me, The waters which you saw, where the prostitute is sitting, are peoples and crowds and nations and languages. ¹⁶ And the ten horns which you saw and the beast, these will hate the prostitute and will make her desolate and will make her naked and will eat her flesh and will be burning her up in fire. ¹⁷ For God gave to their hearts to do his intention and to do it with one intention and to give their kingdom to the beast, till the words of God should be completed. ¹⁸ And the woman whom you saw is the great city, which has a kingdom over the kings of the earth.

¹⁶ And they will come here again in the fourth generation, because the iniquity of the Amorite is not yet full.

⁴ Because my iniquities have gone over my head. As a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.

²² His own iniquities will take a wicked man and he will be held with the cords of his sin.

¹⁴ The yoke of my transgressions is bound by his hand. They are knit together. They have come up upon my neck. He has made my strength to fail. The Lord has delivered me into their hands, against whom I am not able to stand.

¹ I saw the Lord standing beside the altar. And he said, Strike the capitals, that the thresholds may shake and break them in pieces on the head of all of them and I will kill the last of them with the sword. There will not one of them flee away and there will not one of them escape.
² Though they dig into Sheol, from there my hand will take them and though they climb up to heaven, from there I will bring them down. ³ And though they hide themselves on the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out from there. And though they are hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, from there I will command the serpent and it will bite them. ⁴ And though they go into captivity before their enemies, from there I will command the sword and it will kill them. And I will set my eyes upon them for evil and not for good.

¹¹ Shall I be pure with wicked balances and with a bag of deceitful weights?

⁷ (and, behold, a talant of lead was lifted up) and this is a woman sitting in the midst of the ephah.

³² And you, fill up the measure of your fathers.

¹⁶ forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles in order that they might be saved; that they should always fill up their sins, but the wrath has arrived-unexpectedly upon them–to the end.

¹⁹ and the stork, the heron after its kind and the hoopoe and the bat.

⁴⁹ Jehovah will bring a nation against you from far, from the end of the earth, as the eagle flies, a nation whose tongue you will not understand,

²⁶ And after the sixty-two weeks the anointed one will be cut off and will have nothing. And the people of the prince who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary and the end of it will be with a flood. And even to the end will be war; desolations are determined. ²⁷ And he will make a firm covenant with many for one week. And in the midst of the week he will cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. And upon the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate. And even to the full end and that determined, wrath will be poured out upon the desolate.

¹ Set the trumpet to your mouth. As an eagle he comes against the house of Jehovah, because they have transgressed my covenant and trespassed against my law.

²⁸ For wherever the corpse is, the vultures will be gathered together there.

¹⁰ And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel and Erech and Accad and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.

² And it happened, as they traveled east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar and they dwelt there.

⁵⁹ then Jehovah will make your calamities extraordinary and the calamities of your seed, even great calamities and of long continuance and severe sicknesses and of long continuance.
