¹¹ Then Jesus entered Jerusalem and went into the temple courts. He looked around at everything, but since it was already late, He went out to Bethany with the Twelve.

³⁷ Then all the people of the region of the Gadarenes asked Jesus to depart from them, because great fear had taken hold of them. So He got into the boat and started back. ³⁸ The man whom the demons had left begged to go with Jesus. But Jesus sent him away, saying,

¹ Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, the hometown of Lazarus who had died, whom He had raised from the dead. ² So they hosted a dinner for Jesus there. Martha served, and Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with Him. ³ Then Mary took about a pint of expensive perfume, made of pure nard, and she anointed Jesus’ feet and wiped them with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.
