⁹ The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer.

²² In my alarm I said, “I am cut off from Your sight!” But You heard my plea for mercy when I called to You for help.

¹⁹ But God has surely heard; He has attended to the sound of my prayer. ²⁰ Blessed be God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld from me His loving devotion!

¹ I love the LORD, for He has heard my voice—my appeal for mercy. ² Because He has inclined His ear to me, I will call on Him as long as I live.

⁷ As my life was fading away, I remembered the LORD. My prayer went up to You, to Your holy temple.

¹⁰ He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and He continues to deliver us. In Him we have placed our hope that He will yet again deliver us, ¹¹ as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on your behalf for the favor shown us in answer to their prayers.

⁸ Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. ⁹ But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest on me. ¹⁰ That is why, for the sake of Christ, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
