⁸ The LORD judges the peoples; vindicate me, O LORD, according to my righteousness and integrity.

⁸ He judges the world with justice; He governs the people with equity.

⁴ The LORD is in His holy temple; the LORD is on His heavenly throne. His eyes are watching closely; they examine the sons of men.

² May my vindication come from Your presence; may Your eyes see what is right. ³ You have tried my heart; You have visited me in the night. You have tested me and found no evil; I have resolved not to sin with my mouth.

²⁰ The LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness; He has repaid me according to the cleanness of my hands. ²¹ For I have kept the ways of the LORD and have not wickedly departed from my God. ²² For all His ordinances are before me; I have not disregarded His statutes. ²³ And I have been blameless before Him and kept myself from iniquity. ²⁴ So the LORD has repaid me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in His sight.

²¹ May integrity and uprightness preserve me, because I wait for You.

¹ Of David. Vindicate me, O LORD! For I have walked with integrity; I have trusted in the LORD without wavering.

¹¹ But I will walk with integrity; redeem me and be merciful to me.

²⁴ Vindicate me by Your righteousness, O LORD my God, and do not let them gloat over me. ²⁵ Let them not say in their hearts, “Aha, just what we wanted!” Let them not say, “We have swallowed him up!” ²⁶ May those who gloat in my distress be ashamed and confounded; may those who exalt themselves over me be clothed in shame and reproach. ²⁷ May those who favor my vindication shout for joy and gladness; may they always say, “Exalted be the LORD who delights in His servant’s well-being.”

¹² In my integrity You uphold me and set me in Your presence forever.

¹ Vindicate me, O God, and plead my case against an ungodly nation; deliver me from deceitful and unjust men.

⁷² So David shepherded them with integrity of heart and guided them with skillful hands.

¹ A Psalm of Asaph. God presides in the divine assembly; He renders judgment among the gods:

¹³ before the LORD, for He is coming—He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in His faithfulness.

⁹ before the LORD, for He comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness and the peoples with equity.

¹ Better a poor man who walks with integrity than a fool whose lips are perverse.

³¹ For He has set a day when He will judge the world with justice by the Man He has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead.”

¹⁰ Why, then, do you judge your brother? Or why do you belittle your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. ¹¹ It is written: “As surely as I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow before Me; every tongue will confess to God.” ¹² So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.

⁴ My conscience is clear, but that does not vindicate me. It is the Lord who judges me. ⁵ Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men’s hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.

¹² And this is our boast: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in relation to you, in the integrity and sincerity that are from God—not in worldly wisdom, but in the grace of God.

¹⁰ You are witnesses, and so is God, of how holy, righteous, and blameless our conduct was among you who believed.
