³ When he saw that, he arose and went for his life, and came to Beersheba in Judah, and left his lad there.

¹² It will come to pass, therefore, when the Egyptians see thee, that they will say, 'she is his wife.' And so shall they slay me and save thee. ¹³ Say, I pray thee therefore, that thou art my sister; that I may fare the better by reason of thee, and that my soul may live for thy sake."

³¹ Wherefore the place is called Beersheba, because they sware both of them.

¹⁵ And Pharaoh heard of it and went about to slay Moses: but he fled from Pharaoh and dwelt in the land of Midian, and he sat down by a well's side.

⁷ And lest I should be exalted out of measure through the abundance of revelations, there was given unto me of God unquietness of the flesh: the messenger of Satan to buffet me, because I should not be exalted out of measure.
