³² 'I am Abraham's God, and Isaac's God, and the God of Jacob?' God is not the God of the dead: but of the living."

⁶ And he said, "I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob." And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God.

¹⁵ And God spake further unto Moses, "Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, 'the LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob hath sent me unto you': this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial throughout all generations. ¹⁶ Go therefore and gather the elders of Israel together and say unto them, 'the LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, appeared unto me and said: I have been and seen both you and that which is done to you in Egypt.

²⁶ As touching the dead, that they shall rise again: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him saying, 'I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?' ²⁷ He is not the God of the dead: but the God of the living. Ye are therefore greatly deceived."

³⁷ And that the dead shall rise again, even Moses signified besides the bush, when he said, 'The Lord God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.' ³⁸ For he is not the God of the dead, but of them which live. For all live in him."

³² 'I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.' Moses trembled and durst not behold.

¹⁶ But now they desire a better, that is to say a heavenly. Wherefore God is not ashamed of them, even to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
