⁷ And Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to give heed unto the law, and the people stood in their place.

¹¹ and that ye may teach the children of Israel all the ordinances which the LORD hath commanded them by the hands of Moses."

¹⁰ They shall teach Jacob thy judgments and Israel thy laws. They shall put cense before thy nose and whole sacrifices upon thine altar.

⁷ And the third year of his reign he sent, of his lords: Benhail, Obadiah, Zechariah, Nethanel and Micaiah to teach in the cities of Judah: ⁸ and with them, Shemaiah, Nethaniah, Zebadiah, Asahel, Shemiramoth, Jehonathan, Adonijah, Tobijah and Tobadonijah, Levites: and with them Elishama and Jehoram, priests. ⁹ And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah and taught the people.

²² And Hezekiah spake heartily unto the Levites that had good understanding of the LORD. And they did eat that feast seven days long and offered peace offerings and thanked the LORD God of their fathers.

¹⁸ And through the good hand of our God upon us, they brought us a wise man from among the children of Mahli the son of Levi the son of Israel, even Sherebiah, with his sons and brethren, eighteen;

²² Among the children of Pashhur: Elioenai, Maaseiah, Ishmael, Nethanel, Jozabad, and Elasah. ²³ Among the Levites: Jozabad, Shimei, and Kelaiah, which same is Kelita, Pethahiah, Judah and Eliezer.

¹⁷ After him builded the Levites, Rehum the son of Bani. Next unto him builded Hashabiah the ruler of the half quarter at Keilah in his quarter.

¹⁹ After him Ezer the son of Jeshua, the ruler of Mizphah, builded the other piece hard over against the harness corner.

²³ After him builded Benjamin and Hasshub over against their house. After them builded Azariah the son of Maaseiah the son of Ananiah next to his house.

⁴ And Ezra the scribe stood upon a high pulpit of wood, which they had made for the preaching, and beside him stood Mattithiah, Shema, Ananiah, Uriah, Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his righthand: and on his left hand stood Pedaiah, Mishael, Malchiah, Hashum, Hashbaddanah, Zechariah, and Meshullam.

⁴ And the Levites stood on high, namely Jeshua, and Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenaniah, and cried loud unto the LORD their God.

⁹ The Levites were: Jeshua the son of Azariah, Binnui among the children of Henadad and Kadmiel. ¹⁰ And their brethren: Shecaniah, Hodiah, Kelita, Pelaiah, Hanan,

¹² Zaccur, Sherebiah, Shebaniah, ¹³ Hodiah, Bani and Beninu.

¹⁸ Hodiah, Hashum, Bezai,

¹⁶ and Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chief of the Levites, in the outward business of the house of God.

¹⁹ And the porters, Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren that kept the ports, were a hundred and two and seventy.

²⁴ And these were the chief among the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, and their brethren over against them, to give praise and thanks, according as David the man of God had ordained it, one watch over against another. ²⁵ Mattaniah, Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, and Akkub were porters in the watch at the thresholds of the gates.

³³ and Azariah, Ezra, Meshullam,

⁴¹ and the priests, namely Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets, ⁴² and Maaseiah, Shemaiah, Eleazar, Uzzi, Jehohanan, Malchijah, Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, and Jezrahiah was the overseer.

⁷ For the priest's lips should be sure knowledge, that men may seek the law at his mouth, for he is a messenger of the LORD of Hosts.
