²² for this is the time of vengeance, when all that is writ, shall be accomplished.

²² now by these events, that divine prediction of the Prophet had its full accomplishment, when he said, "Behold,

¹⁹ for the distress of that time will be such as never happen'd since the beginning of the world, which God created, to this present, nor ever shall be. ²⁰ so that if the Lord should suffer it to last, no man could escape: but he will not suffer the time to last long, out of regard to his elect.

⁵ however by your impenitence, and the insensibility of your heart, you treasure up for yourself wrath against the day of wrath, and of the revelation of the righteous judgment of God,

⁹ I say, the Lord will deliver those, who fear him, from their affliction, and reserve the wicked to be punish'd at the day of judgment.

⁷ but the heavens and the earth now existing are kept in store by his Logos, reserv'd for the conflagration of doomsday, when the impious shall be involv'd in perdition.
