²⁰ The even being now come, he sat down with the twelve.

¹⁷ There he came in the evening with the twelve. ¹⁸ and as they sat eating, Jesus said, verily I say unto you, one of you that is eating with me, will betray me. ¹⁹ and they were seized with sorrow, all successively asking him, is it I? ²⁰ but he answered them, saying, it is one of the twelve, he that eats of the same mess with me. ²¹ the son of man is going indeed, according to what is written of him: but wo to that man, by whom the son of man is betrayed: it would be better for that man, if he had never been born.

¹⁴ The hour of eating being come, he, and the twelve apostles sat down to table. ¹⁵ and he said to them, I have ardently desired to eat this passover with you, before I suffer. ¹⁶ for I declare unto you, I shall not celebrate this passover with you any more, to the time, when it shall have its accomplishment in the kingdom of the messiah.
