At whych tyme Sobocai the Husathite slue Saphai, that was of the chyldren of Raphaim, & they were subdewed. 5 And there was battell again wyth the Philistines, and Elhanan the sonne of Iair slue Lahemi the brother of Goliath the Gethite, whose speare was lyke the beam of a weuer. 6 And there chaunsed yet agayne warre at Geth, where was a man of a syze with .xxiiij. fingers & toes, six on euery hand, & syx on euery fote, & was the sonne of Haraphah & defyed Israel. 7 And Iehonathan the sonne of Samaa Dauids brother slue him. 8 These were borne of Haraphah at Geth, and were ouerthrowen by the hande of Dauid and of hys seruauntes.

2 Samuel 11:1

And there were certen ouerthrowen of the people and of the seruauntes of Dauid, and Vrias the Hethite dyed also. 18 Then Ioab sent and tolde Dauid all the processe of the warre, 19 and charged the messengers, saying: when thou hast made an end of tellynge the storye of the warre vnto the king 20 yf he begynne to fume & saye vnto the: wherfore approched ye so nye vnto the cytye to fyght? wyst ye not that men wold hourle and shote from the walles? 21 who smote Abimelech sonne of Ierobeseth? dyd not a woman caste a pece of a mylstone vpon hym from of the walles, that he dyed in Thebes? why then went ye nye the walles, then saye thou? thy seruaunt Vrias the Hethite is dead also. 22 And the messengers went and came & shewed Dauid all that Ioab had sent hym with, 23 and sayde vnto Dauid: the men preuayle agaynst vs, and came out vnto vs into the feld, & we stacke vnto them, euen vnto the entering of the gate. 24 And the shoters shotte from the walles, and some of the seruauntes of the king be dead. And thy seruaunt Vrias the Hethite is dead also. 25 Then sayde Dauid vnto the messenger, thus wyse saye vnto Ioab, let not the thyng trouble the. For the swerde deuoureth one as well as another: make thy battell more stronge agaynste the cytye, and destroye it, & se that thou courage Ioab.

2 Samuel 12:26-31

26 And as Ioab fought agaynst Rahab the cytye of the chyldren of Amnon he toke the kynges toure, 27 and sent messengers to Dauid saying: I haue made assaute to Rabah, & also haue taken the castell from whence they had theyr water. 28 Now therfore gather the reste of the people together, and come and besege the cytie and take it: leste yf I take it, the victorye be ascrybed to me. 29 And Dauid gathered all the people together, and went to Rabah and assauted it and gat it. 30 And he toke the kinges croune from of hys heade whiche wayed an hundred wayght of golde, and was set wyth precious stones. And Dauid ware it on hys head. And he brought out the spoyle of the cytye in excedyng great aboundaunce. 31 And he brought oute the people that was therein and sawed them and drue harowes of yron vpon them, and shred some of them with shredynge knyues of yron, & thrust some into fornaces. And so he serued all the cyties of the children of Ammon. And then Dauid and all the people returned vnto Ierusalem.
