²⁶ God stered vp the spyryte of Phul Kynge of Assyria and the spyryte of Thiglath Phalneser Kynge of Assyria, and caryed awaye the Rubenites, the Gaddites and the halfe trybe of Manasseh, and brought them vnto Helah, Habor, Hara and to the Ryuer Gozan, wher they remayne vnto thys daye.

¹ And the Lorde was wrath again agaynst Israel, and stered vp Dauid against them sayinge: go and nombre bothe Israel & Iuda.

¹⁹ And Phul kynge of Assiria came vpon the lande. And Manahem gaue Phul a thousand talentes of syluer, to helpe hym to stablyshe hys kyngdome.

²⁹ In the dayes of Phakeh kyng of Israel, came Teglath Phalasar kyng of Assyrya, and toke Aron, Abel, Beth, Maacah, Ianoah, Kades, Hazor, Galaad, Galile, and all the lande of Nephtali, and caryed them away to Assyrya.

⁷ Then Ahaz sente messengers to Teglath Phalasar Kyng of Assyrya, saying: I am thy seruaunte and thy sonne, come & delyuer me oute of the hande of the kynge of Syrya, and out of the hande of the kynge of Israel which are rysen agaynst me.

⁶ And in the nynthe yeare of Hosea, the kynge of Assyrya toke Samaria & caryed Israel away vnto Assyrya, & put them in Hala, in Habor on the riuer of Gozan, & in the cytyes of the Medes.

¹¹ And the kynge of Assyrya dyd carye awaye Israel vnto Assyrya, & put them in Halah & in Habor on the ryuer of Gozan, & in the cytyes of Medes:

¹² hathe the Goddes of the Heathen delyuered them whiche myne aunsetries haue destroyed: as Gosan, Haran, Rezeph, and the chyldren of Eden, whiche were in Telazar?

⁶ and Beerah was hys sonne. Whyche Beerah Thiglath Phalneser, Kynge of Assyria caryed awaye: for he was a great Lorde amonge the Rubenites.

¹¹ Wherfore the Lorde brought vpon them the Capitaynes of the hoste of the Kynge of Assur, which toke Manasseh in an holde and bounde him with chaynes & caryed hym to Babylon.

⁵ Then gat vp the principal fathers of Iuda and Ben Iamin, & the priestes and Leuites, and all they whose sprete God had raysed to go vp, and to buylde the house of the Lord at Ierusalem.

⁵ Wo be also vnto Assur, whiche is a staffe of my wrathe, in whose hande is the roade of my punishement. ⁶ For I shall send him among those ypocrytish people, amonge the people that haue deserued my disfauour shall I send him: that he maye vtterly robbe them, spoyle them, and tread them doune lyke the myre in the strete.

² Make some tokens to the hye hilles, call vnto them, hold vp youre hande, that the Princes maye go in at the dore. ³ For I will send for my debites & my gyauntes (sayth the Lorde) and in my wrath I wil call for suche, as triumphe in my glory. ⁴ With that, me thought I heard in the mountaynes a noyse, like as is hath bene of a great people: & a russhynge, as though the kyngedomes of al nacions had come together. (And the Lorde of Hostes was the captayne of the whole armye) ⁵ As they had not come only out of farre countreyes, but also from the endes of the heauens: Euen the Lorde him selfe with the ministres of his wrath, to destroye the whole lande.

¹² Where the people of the Gentyles (whom my progenytours conquered) delyuered at any tyme thorow their goddes? As namely, Gozan, Haran, Rezeph, and the chyldren of Eden, which dwell at Thalassar.
