²⁸ Let a man therfore examen hym selfe, and so let hym eate of the breade and drynke of the cuppe.

¹⁰ speake vnto the chyldren of Israell and saye. If any man amonge you or youre children after you be vncleane by the reason of a corse or is in the waye ferre of, then lett hym offer Passeouer vnto the Lorde: ¹¹ the .xiiij. day of the seconde moneth at euen, and eate it wyth swete bread and soure herbes, ¹² & let them leaue none of it vnto the mornynge nor breake any boone of it. And accordynge to all the ordinaunce of the Passeouer let them offer it. ¹³ But yf a man be cleane & not let in a iourney, and yet was neglygent to offer Passeouer the same soule shall perysh from hys people, because he brought not an offerynge vnto the Lorde in his due season: and he shal bere hys synne.

² Examen me. O Lorde, and proue me: trye out my raines and my hert ³ For my louynge kindnesse is before mine eyes, and I walke in thy truth. ⁴ I syt not amonge vayne personnes, & haue no feloshippe with the disceatfull. ⁵ I hate the congregacyon of the wycked, and I wyll not syt amonge the vngodlye. ⁶ I wash my handes with innocencye, O Lorde, and so go I to thyne alter. ⁷ That I may shewe the voice of thy praise and tell of all thy wonderous workes,

⁴⁰ Nun. Let vs loke well vpon oure owne wayes, and remembre oure selues, and turne agayne to the Lorde.

⁵ Consydre nowe youre owne wayes in youre hertes (sayth the Lorde of hostes)

⁷ Thus sayeth the Lorde of hostes: Consydre your owne wayes in your hertes,

⁵ Speake vnto all the people of the land, & to the priestes, and saye: when ye fasted and mourneth in the .v. & .vij. moneth (now this .lxx. yeares) dyd ye fast vnto me? ⁶ When ye ate also and droncke; dyd ye not eate & drincke for youre owne selues? ⁷ Are not these the wordes which the Lord spake by his prophetes afore tyme, when Ierusalem was yet inhabited & welthy, she and the cities round aboute her: when there dwelt men, both toward the south and in the playne countreyes?

²³ Therefore when thou offrest thy gift at the altare, & their remembrest that thy brother hath ought against the: ²⁴ leue there thy offringe before the altare, & go thy way first & be reconciled to thy brother, & then come and offre thy gift.

³¹ Yf we had truely iudged our selues, we should not haue ben iudged.

⁵ Proue youre selues whether you be in the fayth or not. Examen your owne selues: know ye not your owne selues, howe that Iesha Christe is in you, except ye be casteawayes?

⁴ Let euerye man proue hys owne worke, and then shall he haue reioysynge in hys owne selfe, & not in another.

²⁰ But if our hertes condempne vs, God is greater then our hertes, and knoweth all thinges. ²¹ Beloued, yf our hertes condempne vs not, then haue we trust to Godward,
