⁸ Then sayde Abisai to Dauid: God hath closed in thine enemy vnto thyne handes this day. Now therfore let me smyte him a felowshippe with my speare to the earth, euen one stroke, and I wil not smyte hym the second tyme.

³⁰ How it cometh that one shal chace a thousande, and two putt ten thousande of theym to flyght, excepte theyr rocke had solde them, and bicause the Lord had deliuered them.

⁴⁴ And the Lorde gaue them rest roundabout accordyng to all that he sware vnto their fathers. So that there stode not a man of all theyr enemyes before them. But the Lorde delyuered all their enemyes into theyr handes.

¹⁸ And thou haste shewed thys daye howe that thou hast dealt louyngly with me, for as muche as when the Lorde hath locked me in thyne handes, thou sluest me not. ¹⁹ For who shall fynde hys enemy and let hym depart a good waye? Wherfore the Lord rewarde the with good, for that thou hast done vnto me thys daye.

²³ The Lorde rewarde euery mannes ryghteousnesse and faythe: for the Lorde delyuered the into my hande this daye, but I woulde not laye myne hande vpon the Lordes anoynted.

⁸ Thou hast not delyuered me ouer into the handes of the enemye, but hast set my fete in a large rowme.

⁹ What do ye Imagin then agaynst the Lord on this maner? (Tush, when he hath ones made an ende, there shall come nomore trouble.)

³² God hath wrapped all nacyons in vnbelefe, that he myght haue mercye on all.
