³ Neuerthelesse thoughe we walke compassed wt the fleshe, yet we ware not fleshly.

¹³ to lyue after the fleshe. For yf ye liue after the, fleshe, ye muste dye. But if ye mortifye the dedes of the bodye, by the helpe of the spirite, ye shall liue.

⁴ For the weapens of oure warre are not carnal thynges, but thynges myghtye in God to caste doune stronge holdes,

²⁰ I am crucyfyed with Christ. I lyue verelye: yet now not I, but Christe lyueth in me. For the lyfe which I now lyue in the, flesh I lyue by the faythe of the sonne of God whiche loued me, and gaue hym selfe for me.

¹⁸ Thys commaundement committe I vnto the sonne Timotheus, accordyng to the Prophesyes whiche in tyme paste were Prophesyed of the that thou in them shouldest fyght a good fyghte

³ Thou therfore suffer affliccyon as a good souldyer of Iesu Christe. ⁴ No man that warreth entangleth hym selfe with worldye busynes, and that because he woulde please hym that hath chosen hym to be a souldyer.

⁷ I haue fought a good fyght, and haue fulfylled my course, and haue kepte the fayth.

¹ Wherfore let vs also (seyng that we are compassed wyth so great a multytude of witnesses) laye awaye all that presseth doune, and the synne that hangeth on and let vs runne, wyth pacience vnto the batayle that is set before vs

¹ For as much as Christ hath suffred for vs in the fleshe, arme your selues lykewise wyth the same mynde: for he which suffereth in the fleshe ceaseth from synne, ² that he hence forwarde shoulde lyue as muche tyme as remayneth in the fleshe, not after the iustes of men, but after the wyl of God.
