⁶ The husbandman that laboureth must fyrste receyue of the frutes.

²⁴ Goeth not the housbande man euer in due season earnestlye to hys lande: he moweth and ploweth hys grounde to sowe. ²⁵ And when he hath made it playne, he soweth it wyth fetches or comyn. He soweth the wheate & Barlye in theyr place, Mylyum and Rye also in theyr place. ²⁶ And that he maye do it ryght, hys God teacheth hym and sheweth hym.

³⁷ Then sayde he to his disciples: the herueste is greate, but the labourers are fewe. ³⁸ Wherfore pray the Lord of the haruest to send forth labourers into his haruest.

¹ For the kyngedom of heauen is lyke vnto an housholder, which went out early in the mornynge to hyre labourers into hys vyneyarde.

³³ Herken another similitude. There was a certayne housholder, which planted a vyneyard, and hedged it rounde aboute and made a wynepresse in it, and buylt a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a straunge countrey. ³⁴ And when the tyme of the frute drewe neare, he sente hys seruauntes to the husbandmen to receyue the fruytes of it. ³⁵ And the husbandmen caughte hys seruauntes and bet one, kylled another, and stoned another. ³⁶ Agayne he sent other seruauntes, mo then the fyrste, and they serued them lykewyse. ³⁷ But last of all, he sent vnto them hys owne sonne, sayinge: they wyll feare my sonne. ³⁸ But when the husbandmen sawe the sonne, they sayde amonge them selues. Thys is the heyre: come let vs kyll hym, and let vs take hys enheritaunce to oure selues. ³⁹ And they caughte hym and thruste him out of the vyneyard, and slewe hym. ⁴⁰ When the Lorde of the vyneyard cometh, what wyll he do with those husbandmen? ⁴¹ They sayed vnto hym: he wyll cruellye destroye those euyll persons, and wyll let out hys vyneyarde vnto other husbandmen, which shall delyuer hym the frute at tymes conuenient.

² And he sayed vnto them, the haruest is great, but the laborers are fewe. Praye therfore the Lorde of the harueste, to sende forth laborers into hys haruest.

³⁵ Saye not ye: there are yet foure monethes, and then cometh heruest? Behold I saye vnto you, lyfte vp youre eyes, and loke on the regyons: for they are whyte al ready vnto harueste. ³⁶ And he that reapeth receyueth rewarde, and gathereth fruite vnto lyfe eternall: that both he that soweth, and he that reapeth might reioyce together. ³⁷ And herein is the sayinge true, that one soweth, and another reapeth. ³⁸ I sente you to reape that wheron ye bestowed no laboure. Othere men laboured, and ye are entred into theyr laboures.

⁶ I haue planted, Apollo watred: but God gaue the increase. ⁷ So then neyther is he that planteth anye thinge neyther he that watreth: but God that gaue the increase. ⁸ He that planteth and he that wathereth, are neither better then the other. Euerye man yet shall receyue hys rewarde accordynge to hys laboure. ⁹ We are Goddes labourer, ye are Goddes husbandrye ye are Goddes buyldinge.

⁷ who goeth a warfare anye time at hys owne cost? Who planteth a vineiarde, and eateth not of the fruite? Who fedeth a flocke and eateth not of the mylke? ⁸ Saye I these thinges after the maner of men? Or sayeth not the lawe the same also? ⁹ For it is written in the lawe of Moyses. Thou shalt not mosell the mouth of the oxe that treadeth out the corne. Doeth God take thought for oxen? ¹⁰ Either saith he it not altogether for our sakes? For our sakes no doubte this is written: that he whiche eareth, shoulde eare in hope: & that he whych thresheth in hope, should be partaker of hys hope. ¹¹ Yf we sowe vnto you spyrytuall thinges: is it a great thinge yf we reape youre carnall thinges.

²³ And thys I do for the Gospel sake, that I might haue my parte thereof.

³⁶ For ye haue nede of pacyence, that after ye haue done the wyll of God, ye myght receyue the promes.
