⁹ wherein I suffer trouble as an euyll doar, euen vnto bondes. But the worde of God was not bounde.

¹⁶ For I wil shew hym howe greate thinges he muste suffer for my names sake.

³¹ preaching those thynges, whyche concerned the Lorde Iesus wyth all confydence vnforboden.

¹ For this cause I Paule am in the bondes of Iesu Christ for your sakes, whiche are heathen.

¹⁹ and for me, that vtteraunce maye be geuen vnto me, that I maye open my mouth bloudly, to vtter the secretes of the Gospel, ²⁰ wherof I am a messenger in boundes that therin I may speake frely, as it becommeth me to speake.

⁷ as it becommeth me so to iudge of you al, because I haue you in my herte, and haue you also euerye one companions of grace wyth me, euen in my boundes as I defende and stablishe the Gospel.

¹² I woulde ye vnderstode brethren that my busines is happened vnto the greater furtheringe of the Gospel. ¹³ So that my boundes in Christe are manifeste thorowe out al the iudgement hal and in al other places: ¹⁴ In so much that many of the brethren in the Lorde are boldened thorowe my boundes, & dare more largely speake the worde without feare.

³ prayeng also for vs that God open vnto vs the dore of vtteraunce, that we maye speake the misterye of Christe (wherfore I am also in bondes)

¹⁸ The salutation by the hande of me Paule. Remembre my bondes. Grace be with you Amen.

¹ Fvrthermore brethren praye for vs, that the worde of God maye haue free passage and be glorifyed, as it is with you:

⁸ Be not ashamed to testifye oure Lorde, neyther be ashamed of me, whiche am bounde for hys sake: but suffre aduersitye also wyth the Gospell thorowe the power of God,

¹² for the whiche cause I also suffer these thinges. Neuerthelesse I am not ashamed. For I know whom I haue beleued, and am sure that he is able to kepe that whiche I haue commytted to hys kepyng, agaynst that daye.

¹⁶ The Lorde geue mercye vnto the house of Onesiphoras, for he ofte refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chayne:

¹⁷ Notwithstandynge the Lord assisted me, & strenghthed me, that by me the preachynge shoulde be fulfylled to the vttermoste, and that al the Gentyles shoulde heare. And I was delyuered out of the mouth of the Lyon.

¹² and se that ye haue honest conuersacyon amonge the Gentyls, that they whiche backbyte you as euyll doars, maye se youre good workes and prayse God in the daye of visitacyon.

¹⁴ other vnto rulars, as vnto them that are sent of hym, for the punyshemente of euyll doars: but for the laude of them that do wel.

¹⁶ hauinge a good conscience, that when they backbyte you as euyl doers, they maye be ashamed, for as muche as they haue falsely accused your good conuersation in Christ.

¹⁵ Se that none of you suffer as a murtherer or as a thefe, or an euil doar, or as a busibody in other mens matters.
