²¹ but bad them fare well saiynge. I must nedes at this feaste that cometh, be in Ierusalem: but I will returne agayne vnto you, yf God will. And he departed from Ephesus

¹ Obserue the moneth of Abib and offer passeouer vnto the Lorde thy God. For in the moneth of Abib, the Lord thy God broughte the oute of Egypte by nyghte.

³⁹ And he went a lytell aparte, and fell flat on hys face and prayed sayinge: O my father, yf it be possible, let thys cup passe from me: neuerthelesse not as I wyll, but as thou wilte.

⁶¹ And another sayed: I wyll folowe the Lord but let me fyrste go byd them fare wel, which are at home at my house.

²⁹ that is to saye that ye abstayne from thynges offered to ymages, from bloude, from strangled and fornicacion. From which yf ye kepe your selues ye shall do well. So fare ye well.

²¹ After these thynges were ended, Paul purposed in the spyryte, to passe ouer Macedonia and Achaia, and to go to Ierusalem, saiynge: After I haue ben there, I must also se Rome.

¹⁶ for Paule had determyned to leaue Ephesus as they sayled, because he woulde not spende the tyme in Asia. For he hasted to be (yf he coulde possible) at Ierusalem at the daye of Pentecoste.

¹⁴ When we coulde not turne hys mynde, we ceased saiynge: the wyll of the Lorde be fulfylled.

¹⁰ besechinge that at one tyme or other, a prosperous iorneye (by the wyll of God) myghte fortune me, to come vnto you.

³² that I maye come vnto you wyth ioye, by the wyll of God, and maye with you be refreshed.

¹⁹ But I wil come to you shortly yf God wil: and will knowe not the wordes of them, which swel, but the power,

⁷ I wil not se you nowe in my passage: but I truste to abyde a while wyth you, yf God shal suffer me.

¹¹ Finally brethren fare ye well, be perfeccte, be of good comforte, be of one mynde, lyue in peace, and the God of loue, and peace, shal be with you.

¹⁹ I truste in the Lord Iesus for to sende Timotheus shortely vnto you, that I also maye be of good comforte, when I knowe what case ye stand in. ²⁰ For I haue noman that is so lyke mynded to me, whiche with so pure affeccion careth for youre matters. ²¹ For al other seke theyr owne, and not that whiche is Iesus Christes. ²² Ye knowe the profe of hym, howe that as a sonne with the father, so with me bestowed he his laboure vpon the Gospel ²³ Hym I hope to send assone as I knowe, howe it wyl go with me. ²⁴ I truste in the Lord I also my selfe shal come shortly.

³ And so wil we do, yf God permytte.

¹⁵ For that ye oughte to saye: yf the Lorde wyll and yf we lyue, let vs do thys or that.

¹⁷ It is better (yf the wyll of God be so) that ye suffre for wel doyng, then for euil doinge.
