²² I will helpe my shepe, so that they shall no more be spoyled: yea, I wyll discerne one shepe from another.

¹² For he shall delyuer the poore when he cryeth, and the neady that hath no helpe. ¹³ He shalbe fauorable to the simple & poore, he shall preserue the soules of suche as be in aduersitie. ¹⁴ He shall delyuer their soules from extorcyon and wrong, and deere shall their bloud be in hys sight.

² Wherfore, thys is the commaundement of the Lorde God of Israel, vnto the shepherdes that fede my people: Ye scatre and thrust out my flocke, & loke not vpon them. Therfore now wyll I vyset the wickednes of youre ymaginacyons, sayeth the Lorde: ³ And will gather together the remnaunt of my flocke, from all landes that I had dryuen them vnto, & will bringe them agayne to their pastures, that they maye growe and increase.

¹⁰ Thus sayth the Lord God: Beholde, I my self wyll vpon the shepherdes and requyre my shepe from theyr handes, and make them ceasse from fedynge of my shepe: yea the shepherdes shall fede them selues no more: For I wyll delyuer my shepe oute of theyr mouthes, so that they shall not deuoure them after this.

⁷ I my self fedde the slaughter shepe (a pore flocke verely) & toke vnto me two staues: the one I called louinge mekenesse, the other I called wo, & so I kepte the shepe. ⁸ Thre sheperdes destroyeth I in one moneth, for I might not away wt them, neither had they any delyte in me. ⁹ Then sayd I: I wil fede you no more, the thing that dieth, let it dye: & that wil perishe, let it perishe, & let the remnaunt eate, euery one the fleshe of his neyghboure.
