⁹ For there came a rumoure, that Tharhakah kynge of Ethiopia was come forth to warre agaynst hym. And when the Kynge of Assyria hearde that, he sent other messaungers to Kynge Hezekiah with this commaundement:

²⁷ But there came a messenger to Saul saying: Hast the & come, for the Philistines are come in, & roue the land. ²⁸ Wherfore Saul returned from persecutyng Dauid, & went agaynst the Philistines. And therfore the place is called, Sela Mahelecoth.

¹ Wo be to the land of flieng shippes, whyche is of thys side the floude of Ethiopia:

⁵ They shalbe also at their wittes ende, and ashamed one of another: the Egipcians of the Morians, and the Morians of the Egipcians, at the syght of their glorye.

⁷ Beholde, I wyll cause a wynde go ouer hym, as sone as he heareth it, he shall go agayne into hys countre, there wyll I destroye hym with the swerde.
