¹² Herken vnto me O Iacob, and Israel whom I haue called I am euen he that is, I am the fyrst & the last.

³⁹ Se nowe howe that I, I am he, and that there is no God but I. I can kyll and make a lyue, and what I haue smytten that I can heale: neyther is there that can deliuer anye man out of my hande.

²⁴ Heare me now therfore (O my sonne) and marke the wordes of my mouth.

³² Therfore herken vnto me, O ye chyldren, for blessed are they that kepe my wayes.

¹ Come ye Heithen & heare, take hede ye people. Herken thou earth & all that is therin: thou rounde compasse & all that groweth there vpon

⁴ Who hath made, created, and called the generacions from the begynnyng? Euen I the Lorde, whiche am the fyrst, and with the last.

¹¹ I am only the Lorde, and wythout me is there no Sauyour.

⁶ Moreouer, thus hath the Lorde spoken: euen the Kynge of Israel, and his auenger, the Lorde of Hostes: I am the fyrst & the last, and with out me is there no God.

³ Herken vnto me, O house of Iacob, & all ye that remayne yet of the housholde of Israel: whom I haue borne from youre mothers wombe, & brought you vp from your birth, tyll ye weere growen:

¹ Ye Iles, herken vnto me, & take hede ye people from farre. The Lorde hath called me from my byrth, and made mencion of my name from my mothers womb:

¹ Herken vnto me, ye that hold of ryghtuousnes, ye that seke the Lord. Take hede vnto the stone whereout ye are hewen, and to the graue whereoute ye are digged.

⁴ Haue respecte vnto me then, O my people, and laye thyne eare to me: for a lawe and an ordynaunce shall go forth from me, to lyghten the Gentyles.

⁷ Therfore herken vnto me, ye that haue pleasure in rightuousnes, thou people that bearest my lawe in thyne herte. Feare not the curse of men, be not afrayde of theyr blasphemies & reuylynges:

³ Encline youre eares, & come vnto me, take hede, & your soule shall lyue. For I wyll make an euerlastynge couenaunt wyth you, euen the sure mercyes of Dauid.

¹⁶ So the laste shalbe firste, and the first shalbe laste. For many are called, and few be chosen.

⁶ of the whyche heathen are ye a parte also, whyche are Iesus Christes by vocation.

²⁸ For we knowe that all thynges worke for the beste vnto them that loue God, whyche also are called of purpose.

²⁴ but vnto them, whiche are called both of Iewes and Grekes we preache Christe the power of God, and the wisdome of God.

⁹ But ye are a chosen generacyon, a royall priesthode, an holye nacyon and a peculyar people that ye shoulde shewe the vertues of hym that called you oute of darkenes into his marueylous lyght,

⁸ I am Alpha and Omega, the begynnynge and the endynge, sayeth the Lorde almyghty, whiche is, which was, and whiche is to come.

¹¹ saiynge. I am Alpha and Omega, the fyrst and the laste. That thou seest wryte in a boke, and sende it vnto the congregacyons which are in Asia, vnto Ephesus, and vnto Smyrna, & vnto Pergamos, and vnto Sardis, & vnto Phyladelphia, and vnto Laodicia.

¹⁷ And when I sawe hym, I fell at hys fete, euen as dead. And he layde hys ryght hande vpon me, saiynge vnto me: feare not, I am the fyrste, and the laste, ¹⁸ and am alyue, and was dead. And beholde I am alyue for euer more and haue the kayes of hell, & of death.

⁸ And vnto the angell of the congregacion of Smyrna wryte: These thynges sayeth he that is fyrst, and the last, which was dead & is alyue.

¹⁴ These shal fyght wt the lamb, & the lamb shal ouercome them. For he is Lorde of Lordes, & kinge of kinges, & they that are on his syde, are called the chosen and faithful.

¹³ I am Alpha & Omega, the beginnynge and the ende: the fyrst & the laste.
