⁶ Heare and consyder all these thynges whether it was ye that prophecyed them: But as for me, I tolde the before at the beginning, new and secrete thinges that thou knewest not of.

⁹ I will preach of thy ryghtuousnesse in the great congregacyon: Lo. I wyl not refraine my lippes, O Lorde, and that thou knowest. ¹⁰ I do not hyde thy ryghtuousnes in my hert, my talkinge is of thy trueth and sauing health: I kepe not thy louyng mercy & faythfulnesse backe from the greate congregacyon.

¹⁵ My mouth shall speake of thy righteousnesse and sauyng health all the day longe, for I knowe no ende therof. ¹⁶ Let me go in (O Lorde God) and I wyll make mencion of thy power and righteousnesse onely. ¹⁷ Thou, O God, haste learned me fro my youth vp vntyll now, therfore wyll I tell of thy wonderous workes. ¹⁸ Forsake me not, O GOD, in myne olde age, when I am gray headed: vntyll I haue shewed thyne arme vnto chylders chyldren, and thy power to all them that are yet for to come.

³ Whych we haue herde and knowne, and such as our fathers haue told vs. ⁴ That we shoulde not hyde them from the chyldren of the generations to come: but to shewe the honoure of the Lorde, hys myghte and wonderfull worckes that he hath done. ⁵ He made a couenaunte wyth Iacob, and gaue Israel a lawe, whiche he commaunded oure forefathers to teache their chyldren. ⁶ That their posterytye myghte knowe it, and the chyldren whych were yet vnborne. To thintent that when they came vp they myghte shewe their chyldren the same.

⁴³ Who so is wyse, & pondreth these thynges well, shal vnderstande the louyng kyndnesses of the Lorde.

¹³ With my lippes wil I be tellyng out all the iudgmentes of thy mouth.

⁴ One generacion shall prayse thy workes vnto another, and declare thy power. ⁵ As for me I will be talkynge of thy worshyp, thy glory, thy prayse, and wonderous workes.

¹⁰ This (O my felowe thresshers and fanners) haue I hearde of the Lorde of Hostes the God of Israel, to shewe it vnto you.

⁹ shewe yow these newe tydynges, and tell you them or they come, for olde thynges also are come to passe.

⁸ Brynge forth that people, whether they haue eyes or be blynde, deafe or haue eares. ⁹ All nacyons shall come in one, and be gathered in one people. But whiche amonge yonder goddes shall declare suche thynges, & tell vs what is to come? Let them bringe theyr wytnesses, so shall they be fre: for then men shall heare it, & saye, it is trueth. ¹⁰ But I bring you wytnesses (sayth the Lorde) euen those that are my seruauntes, whom I haue chosen: to the intent that ye myght be certyfyed and geue me faythfull credence: yee & to consydre, that I am he, before whom there was neuer any God, and that there shalbe none after me.

¹⁹ Therfore beholde, I shall make a new thynge, & shortly shall it appeare: ye shall well knowe it, I told it you afore, but I wil tel it you agayne. I wyll make stretes in the deserte, & ryuers of water in the wylderne

³¹ Yf ye be the people of the Lorde, then herken vnto this worde: Am I then become a wyldernesse vnto the people of Israel? or a lande that hath no light? Wherfore sayeth my people then: we are fallen of, and we wyl come no more vnto the?

² preache amonge the Gentiles, let youre voyce be hearde, make a token: crye oute, kepe no sylence but saye: Babylon shall be wonne, Bel shalbe confounded, & Merodach shalbe ouercome. Yea their Goddes shalbe brought to shame, and theyr ymages shall stande in feare.

⁸ I hearde it well, but I vnderstode it not. Then sayde I: O my Lord, what shall happen after that? ⁹ He answered: Go thy waye Daniel, for these wordes shalbe closed vp, & sealed, till the last tyme: ¹⁰ & many shalbe purifyed, clensed and tryed. But the vngodly shal lyue wickedly, and those wicked (as many of them as they be) shall haue no vnderstanding. As for suche as haue vnderstandynge, they shall regarde it. ¹¹ And from the time forth that the dayly offeringe shalbe put doune & the abhominable desolacyon set vp, there shalbe a thousande two hundreth & .xc. dayes. ¹² O well is him, that wayteth, & commeth to the thousande .iij.C. & .xxxv. dayes. ¹³ Go thou thy way now, till it be ended: take thy rest, and byde in thy lot, till the dayes haue an ende.

⁶ Crye they oute alarum wyth the trompet in the cytye, and the people not afrayed? Commeth there anye plage in a cytye withoute it be the Lordes doynge?

⁹ that thou mayest be called a cytye of the Lorde, & that thy name maye be ryghtuousnesse. Heare (O ye trybes) who wolde els geue you soch warnynge?

²⁷ What I tell you in darkenes, that speake ye in light. And what ye heare in the eare, that preache ye on the house toppes.

¹⁵ Henceforth call I you not seruauntes: for the seruaunt knoweth not what hys lorde doth. But you haue I called frendes, for all thynges that I haue heard of my father, I haue opened vnto you.

⁸ but ye shall receiue power of the holy ghost, whiche shall come on you. And ye shall be witnesses vnto me in Hierusalem, and in al Iewrye, and in Samary and euen vnto the worldes ende.

²⁵ To hym that is of power to stablysh you, accordynge to my Gospell and preachinge of Iesus Christe, in vtterynge of the mysterye whiche was kepte secrete sence the worlde began, ²⁶ but nowe is opened by the scriptures of prophesye, at the commaundemente of the euerlastynge God, to stere vp obedience to the fayth publyshed among all nacions:

⁹ But as it was written: The eye hath not sene, and the eare hath not hearde, neither haue entred into the herte of man the thinges, which God hath prepared for them that loue him.

¹⁰ Of whiche saluacyon haue the Prophetes enquyred and searched, whiche prophesyed of the grace that shoulde come vnto you, ¹¹ searchynge when or at what tyme of the spyryte of Christe whiche was in them, shoulde signifye, whiche spyryte testyfyed before, the passyons that shoulde come vnto Christe, and the glorye that shoulde folowe after: ¹² vnto which Prophetes it was declared, that not vnto them selues, but vnto vs, they shoulde mynyster the thynges whiche are nowe shewed vnto you of them whiche by the holye ghoste sent doune from heauen, haue preached vnto you the thynges whiche the aungels desyre to beholde.

¹⁹ Write therfore the thynges, whiche thou hast sene, & the thynges whiche are, & the thynges which shalbe fulfylled here after:

¹ After thys I loked, and beholde a dore was open in heauen, and the fyrst voyce which I hearde, was as it were of a trompete, talkynge wyth me which sayd: come vp hether, and I wyll shewe the thynges, whyche must be fulfylled herafter.

¹ And I saw in the ryghte hand of him that sate in the throne, a boke wrytten, wythin and on the backsyde, sealed with .vij. seales. ² And I sawe a stronge angel, which cryed wyth a loude voyce: Who is worthy to open the boke, and to lose the seales therof?

¹ And I saw when the Lambe opened one of the seales, and I hearde one of the .iiij. beastes saye, as it were the noyse of thonder, come and se. ² And I sawe, and beholde there was a whyte horsse, and he that sate on him had a bow, & a croune was geuen vnto him, and he went forth conquerynge and for to ouercome. ³ And when he opened the seconde seale, I hearde the seconde beaste saye, come and se. ⁴ And there wente out another horsse that was red, and power was geuen to him that sate theron, to take peace from the earth, and that they should kyl one another. And there was geuen vnto hym a greate swerde. ⁵ And when he opened the thyrde seale, I hearde the thyrde beast say: come and se. And I behelde, and lo a blacke horsse: and he that sate on him, had a payre of balances in hys hand. ⁶ And I heard a voyce in the myddes of the .iiij. beastes say: a measure of wheat for a penye, and .iij. measures of barly for a peny, and oyle and wyne se thou hurte not. ⁷ And when he opened the fourth seale, I heard the voyce of the fourth beaste saye: come and se. ⁸ And I loked, and behold a pale horsse, and hys name that sate on him was death, and hell folowed after him, and power was geuen vnto him ouer the fourth parte of the earth, to kyll with swerd and wyth honger, and wyth death, that cometh of vermen of the earth. ⁹ And when he opened the fyft seale, I saw vnder the aulter, the soules of them that were kylled for the word of God, & for the testymonye, whych they had, ¹⁰ and they cryed wyth a loude voyce sayinge: Howe longe tariest thou Lord holy and true, to iudge and to auenge oure bloud on them that dwell on the earth? ¹¹ And longe whyte garmentes were geuen vnto euery of them. And it was sayde vnto them that they should reste for a litle season vntyll the number of their felowes and brethren, & of them that should be kylled as they were, were fulfylled. ¹² And I behelde when he opened the syxte seale, and lo there was a greate earth quake, and the sunne was as blacke as sacke cloth, made of heare. And the mone wexed euen as bloude, ¹³ and the starres of heauen fell vnto the earth, euen as a fygge tree casteth from her her fygges, when she is shaken of a myghty wynde. ¹⁴ And heauen vanished awaye, as a scrole, when it is rolled together. And al mountaines and Iles, were moued out of their places. ¹⁵ And the kynges of the earth, & the greate men and the ryche men, and the chiefe captaines, and the myghty men, and euerye bonde man, and euery free man, hyd them selues in dennes, and in rockes: ¹⁶ fal on vs, and hyde vs from the presence of hym that sitteth on the seate, and from the wrath of the lambe, ¹⁷ for the great day of his wrath is come: And who can endure it?
