¹⁹ O Lorde, my strength, my power, and refuge in tyme of trouble. The Gentyles shall come vnto the from the endes of the worlde, and saye: Verely our fathers haue cleued vnto lyes, their Idols are but vayne & vnprofitable.

¹ To the chaunter of Dauid, seruaunt of the Lorde, whiche sayde vnto the Lorde the woordes of thys songe, on the daye in which the Lorde delyuered hym from the hande of all hys enemyes, and from the hande of Saul, and sayde. I wyll loue the (O Lorde) my strength. ² The Lorde is my succour, my refuge, my sauyoure: my God, my helper in whome I trust: my buckler, the horne of my health, and my proteccion.

¹⁴ Yea the words of my mouth and the meditacion of my herte shalbe acceptable vnto the, O Lorde, my helper and my redemer.

²⁷ All the endes of the worlde shall remembre them selfes, and be turned vnto the Lorde: & all the generacions of the Heithen shal worshippe before hym. ²⁸ For the kyngdom is the Lordes, & he shal be the gouernour of the Heythen. ²⁹ All such as be fat vpon earth, shall eate also and worshippe. All they that lye in the dust, and lyue so hardly, shall fall doune before hym. ³⁰ The sede shall serue hym, and preache of the Lord for euer.

⁵ For in the tyme of trouble he hath hydde me in his tabernacle, yea in the secrete place of his dwellynge hath he kept and set me vp vpon a rocke of stone.

¹ To the chaunter, a songe of the children of Corah vpon almuth. In oure troubles & aduersitye, we haue founde, that God is oure refuge, oure strength and helpe.

⁷ The Lord of hoostes is with vs, the God of Iacob is oure defence. Selah.

² He only is my strength, my saluation, my defence, so that I shal not greatly fall.

⁷ In God is my helth, my glory, my might, and in God is my trust.

² That we maye knowe thy waye vpon earth, thy sauynge helth among al Heathen. ³ Let the people prayse the, O God, yea let all people prayse the. ⁴ O let the people reioyse and be glad, that thou iudgest the folke ryghtuouslye, and gouernest the nacions vpon earth. ⁵ Let the people prayse the, O God, let al people prayse the. ⁶ God, euen oure owne God, geue vs hys blessynge, that the earth maye brynge forth her encrease. ⁷ God blesse vs, and let all the endes of the world feare hym.

³¹ The princes shall come out of Egipt, the Morians land shall stretch out her handes vnto God.

⁸ Hys dominion shalbe from the one sea to the other, & from the floud vnto the worldes ende. ⁹ They that dwell in the wyldernes shall knele before him, & his enemyes shal licke the dust. ¹⁰ The kynges of the sea & of the Iles shall bringe presentes, the kynges of Araby and Saba shall offre gyftes. ¹¹ All kynges shall worshyppe hym, and all Heathen shall do hym seruyce. ¹² For he shall delyuer the poore when he cryeth, and the neady that hath no helpe.

⁹ All nacyons whom thou hast made, shall come and worship before the, O Lorde, and shal gloryfy thy name.

¹ Who so dwelleth vnder the defence of the most hyest, & abydeth vnder the shadowe of the almightye. ² He shal say vnto the Lorde: O my hope, and my strong holde, my God, in whome I will trust.

¹ Of Dauid. Blessed be the Lorde my refuge which teacheth my handes to warre, and my fyngers too fyght. ² My hope and my castell, my defence and my deliuerer, my shylde in whome I trust, which gouerneth the people that is vnder me.

¹⁰ The name of the Lord is a strong castel, the righteous flieth vnto it, and shalbe saued.

² It will be also in processe of tyme: That the hyl where the house of the Lorde is buylded, shal be the chefe amonge hylles, and exalted aboue al lytle hylles. And all the Heathen shall preache vnto hym, & the multytude of people shall go vnto hym, ³ speakynge thus one to another: vp let vs go to the hyll of the Lorde, & to the house of the God of Iacob: that he maye shewe vs hys waye, and that we maye walcke in hys pathes. For the lawe shall come out of Syon and the worde of God from Ierusalem,

⁹ No man shall do euyl to another, no man shall destroye another, in all the hyll of my Sanctuarye. For the earth shalbe full of the knowledge of the Lorde, euen as thoughe the water of the sea floweth ouer the earth. ¹⁰ Then shal the Gentyles enquere after the rote of Iesse (whiche shalbe set vp for a token vnto the Gentyles) for hys dwellinge shalbe glorious.

⁴ For thou art the poore mans helpe, a strength for the neadful in his necessyte. Thou art a defence against euyll wether, a shadow agaynst the hete. But vnto the presumptuous, thou art lyke a stronge whyrle wynde, that casteth doune

² He shalbe vnto men as a defence for the wynde, & as a refuge for the tempeste, like as a riuer of water in a thurstye place, and the shadowe of a great rocke in a drye land.

¹⁰ Who shulde now make a God, or fashion an Idole, that is profytable for nothynge?

⁶ Let it be but a smal thynge, that thou arte my seruaunte, to set vp the kynredes of Iacob, & to restore the destruccyon of Israel: yf I make the not also the light of the Gentiles. that thou mayest be my helthe vnto the ende of the worlde.

¹ And therfore get the vp by tymes, for thy lyght cometh, and the glory of the Lorde shall ryse vp vpon the. ² For lo, whyle the darcknesse and cloude couered the earth and the people, the Lorde shal shew the lyght, and hys glorye shalbe sene in the. ³ The Gentyles shal come to thy light, & kynges to the brightnes that springeth forth vpon the.

² Then shal the Gentiles se thy ryghteousnesses and all kinges thy glorye. Thou shalt be named wyth a newe name, whyche the mouthe of the Lorde shal shewe.

¹¹ whether the Gentiles them selues deale so fastly and vntruly with their goddes (whiche yet are no Goddes in dede.) But my people hath geuen ouer their hye honoure, for a thinge that maye not helpe them.

¹⁶ Moreouer, when ye be increased and multyplied in the land, then (sayeth the Lorde) there shall no more boost be made of the arcke of the Lordes Testament: No man shal thincke vpon it, neyther shall any man make mencion of it: for from thence forth it shall neyther be visited, nor honoured with gyftes. ¹⁷ Then shal Ierusalem be called the Lordes seate, and all Heathen shalbe gathered vnto it, for the name of the Lordes sake, whyche shalbe set vp at Ierusalem. And from that tyme forth, they shal folow no more the ymaginacion of their owne frowarde herte.

²³ The hylles fal, and al the hye pryde of the mountaynes, but the healthe of Israel standeth onely vpon God oure Lorde.

⁵ It standeth as styfe as the palmetree, it can not neyther speake nor go, but must be borne. Be not ye afrayed of suche, for they can do neyther good nor euill.

¹⁴ Hys wysdom maketh all men fooles. And confounded be all casters of ymages, for that they cast, is but a vayne thynge, and hath no lyfe. ¹⁵ The vayne craftesmen with theyr worckes, that they in theyr vanite haue made, shall peryshe one with another in the tyme of vysitacyon.

¹⁷ Be not now terryble vnto me, O Lorde, for thou art he in whom I hope, when I am in parell.

¹⁶ Therfore tell them, thus sayth the Lorde God: I wyll sende you farre of amonge the Gentyles, and scatre you amonge the nacyons, & I wyll halowe you but a lytle, in the landes where ye shal come.

¹ Bvt in the latter dayes it wyll come to passe, that the hyll of the Lordes house shallbe sett vp hyer then enye mountaynes or hylles: Yee the people shall prease vnto it, ² and the multitude of the Gentyles shall haste them thyther, sayeng: Come lett vs go vp to the hyll of the Lorde, and to the house of the God of Iacob: that he maye teach vs hys wayes, & that we maye walke in hys parthes. For the lawe shall come out of Sion, and the worde of God from Ierusalem,

⁷ Full gracious is the Lorde, and a stronge holde in the tyme of trouble, he knoweth them that put their truste in hym:

¹⁸ What helpe then wyll the Image do, whom the worckman hath fashyoned? Or the vayne cast Image, wherein because the craftesman putteth hys trust, therfore maketh he domme Idols? ¹⁹ Wo vnto hym, that sayeth to a pece of woode: aryse, & to a domme stone: stande vp. For what instruccyon maye suche one geue? Beholde it is layed ouer wyth gold and siluer and there is no breth in it.

¹⁹ The Lord God is my strengthe, he shall make my fete as the fete of hertes: and he whiche geueth the vyctorye, shal bryng me to my hye places, synging vpon my psalmes.

¹¹ At the same tyme there shall manye Heathen cleue to the Lorde, and shall be my people. Thus wyll I dwell in the myddest of the, & thou shalte knowe, that the Lorde of hostes hathe sente me vnto the.

²⁰ Thus sayeth the Lorde of hostes: There shal yet come people, and the inhabiters of many cities: ²¹ and they that dwell in one citie, shal go to another sayeng: Vp, let vs go, and pray before the Lord, let vs seke the Lorde of Hostes, I will go with you: ²² yea much people and mightie heathen shall come and seke the Lorde of Hostes at Ierusalem, & to pray before the Lorde. ²³ Thus sayeth the Lorde of Hostes: In that tyme shal ten men (out of al maner of languages of the Gentiles) take one Iew by the hemme of his garment, and saye: we wyl go with you, for we haue hearde, that God is amonge you.

¹¹ For from the rysynge vp of the sunne vnto the goynge doune of the same, my name is greate amonge the Gentyles: yea, in euery place shall there sacryfice be done, & a cleane meatoffering offered vp vnto my name: for my name is great among the heathen, sayeth the Lorde of hostes.

¹⁸ For as muche as ye know howe that ye were not redemed wyth corruptyble syluer and golde, from youre vayne conuersacyon whiche ye receyued by the tradicyons of the fathers:

⁹ After this I behelde, and lo a greate multitude (which no man coulde numbre) of al nacions and people, and tonges, stode before the seate, and before the lambe, clothed wyth longe whyte garmentes, and palmes in their handes, ¹⁰ and cried with a loude voyce, saying: saluacion be ascribed to him that sitteth vpon the seate of our God, and vnto the lamb. ¹¹ And all the Angelles stode in the compasse of the seate, and of the elders, and of the .iiij. beastes, and fell before the seate on theyr faces, & worshipped God

¹⁵ And the seuenth angell blewe, and there were made greate voyces in heauen, sayinge: the kyngdomes of thys worlde are oure Lordes and hys Christes, & he shall raygne for euer more.
