²⁴ He chaungeth the herte of the Princes and Kynges of the earth and disapoynteth them: so that they go wandringe out of the waye,

²⁰ He taketh the verite from out of the mouth, & disapoynteth the aged of their wysdome.

⁴ Thou haste withholden their hertes from vnderstandyng, therfore shall they not be sett vp on hye.

⁴ They went astraye in the wildernesse in an vntroden waye, and founde no cytye too dwell in.

⁴⁰ Though he suffre them to be euell intreated thorow tyrauntes, or lette them wandre out of the waye in the wildernesse.

⁹ And so he sayde: go, and tell thys people: ye shall heare in dede, but ye shall not vnderstande, ye shall playnelye se, & not perceyue. ¹⁰ Harden the hart of thys people, stoppe theyr eares, and shutte theyr eyes, that they se not with theyr eyes, heare not wyth theyr eares, and vnderstande not wyth theyr hertes, and conuerte and be healed.

¹ This is the heauy burthen vpon Egipt: Beholde, the Lord wyll ryde vpon a swyft cloude, & come into Egipt. And the Goddes of Egypte shall tremble at hys comminge, and the herte of Egypt shal quake within her.

¹⁶ That mans herte of his shal be taken from him, and a beastes herte shall be geuen hym, tyll seuen yeares be come and gone vpon hym.
