²⁰ Wherfore is the lyght geuen to hym that is in miserye? and lyfe vnto them, that haue heuy hertes?

¹⁰ And she was troubled in her spretes, and prayed vnto the Lorde, and wepte sore,

²⁷ Then she went to the man of God vp to the hyll and caught him by the fete. And Gihezi went to her, to thrust her away. But the man of God sayde: let her alone, for her soule is vexed, and the Lorde hath hid it from me, and hath not tolde it me.

¹⁶ O that I vtterlye had no beynge, or were as a thynge borne out of tyme (that is put asyde) ether as yonge chyldren, which neuer sawe the light.

⁹ That he woulde begynne And smyte me: that he woulde let hys hande go, and hewe me doune.

¹⁵ that my soule wyssheth rather to be strangled, and my bones to be deed. ¹⁶ I can se no remedy, I shall loue nomore: O spare me then, for my dayes are but vayne

²⁸ Yea he hath delyuered my soule from destruccyon, and my lyfe, that it seeth the lyght.

³⁰ that he kepeth hys soule from peryshynge, and letteth hym enioye the lyghte of the lyuyng.

⁶ Geue strong drinke vnto suche as are condempned to death, & wyne vnto those that mourne:

¹⁸ Wherfore came I forth of my mother wombe? To haue experience of all laboure & sorow? & to leade my lyfe wyth shame?
