If he stande & saye: I wyll nat take her, ⁹ then let his syster in lawe go vnto hym in the presence of the elders and loose his shoo of his fote & spit in his face & answere and saye. So shall it be done vnto that man that wyll not byld his brothers house. ¹⁰ And his name shal be called in Israel, the vnshoed house.

¹¹ But Noemi said, turne again my doughters: for what cause would you go with me? thinke you that there be any more children in my bowelles, to be youre husbandes? ¹² Turne again my doughters & go: for I am to olde to haue an husband.
