²¹ And when the eyght daye was come, that the chylde shoulde be circuncysed, his name was called Iesus, which was named of the aungell before he was conceyued in the wombe.

¹² And euery man chylde when it is .viij. daies olde, shal be circumcysed among you in your generacions, and all seruauntes also borne at home or bought wt money though they be straungers and not of thy seed. The seruaunte borne in thy house, & he also that is bought with money, must needes be circumcysed,

³ And in the .viij. daye the flesh of the chyldes foreskynne shalbe cut awaye.

²¹ She shall bryngforth a sonne, & thou shalt cal his name Iesus. For he shal saue his people from their sins.

²⁵ and knewe her not tyl she had broughte forthe her fyrste sonne, and called hys name Iesus.

¹⁵ Iesus answered and sayd to hym: Let it be so nowe. For thus it becometh vs to fulfyll al righteousnes. Then he suffred him.

³¹ Lo: thou shalt conceyue in thy wombe & shalt beare a sonne, and shalt call his name Iesus.

⁵⁹ And it fortuned the .viij. daye, they came to circuncyse the childe, and called his name Zacharias, after the name of his father.

⁴ But when the tyme was full come, God sente hys sonne made of a woman, and made bonde vnto the lawe, ⁵ to redeme them which were vnder the lawe: that we thorowe eleccyon myght receyue the enheritaunce that belongeth vnto the naturall sonnes.

⁸ and was founde in hys aparell as a man. He humbled hym selfe, and became obediente vnto the death euen the death of the crosse.
