³⁵ Wherfore, loue ye your enemyes, do good and lende, lokinge for nothynge againe, and your rewarde shall be greate, and ye shalbe the children of the hyest for he is kinde vnto the vnkinde and to the euyll.

³⁵ If thy brother be waxed pore and fallen in decay with the, receiue him as a straunger or a soiourner, & let him lyue by th ³⁶ And thou shalt take none vsurye of hym, nor yet vantage. But shalt feare thy God, that thy brother maye lyue wt the. ³⁷ Thou shalt not lend him thy money vpon vserye, nor lende hym of thy foode to haue aduantage bi it:

²⁶ The righteous is euer mercifull, and lendeth gently, therfore shal his sede be blessed.

⁵ Well is he that is mercyfull, and lendeth gladly, and pondereth his wordes wyth discrecyon,

⁹ The Lorde is louynge vnto euery man, & hys mercy is ouer all hys workes.

¹⁷ He that hath pittie vppon the poore, lendeth vnto the Lord: & loke what he layeth oute, it shalbe payed hym agayn.

⁹ A louing eie shalbe blessed, for he geueth of his bread vnto the pore.

⁴⁴ But I say vnto you loue your enemies. Blesse theim that cursse you. Do good to them that hate you. Pray for them which doo you wronge and persecute you, ⁴⁵ that ye may be the chyldren of youre father that is in heauen: for he maketh his sonne to aryse on the yuyll, and on the good and sendeth his raine on the iust and vniust.

⁷ and cryed with a loude voyce, and sayde: what haue I to do with a loude voyce, and sayde: what haue I to do with the Iesus the sonne of the most hyest God? I requyre the in the name of God that thou torment me not.

³² He shalbe greate, and shalbe called the sonne of the hiest. And the Lorde God shal geue to hym the seat of his father Dauid,

²⁷ But I say vnto you which heare: loue your enemyes. Do good to them which hate you. ²⁸ Blesse them that coursse you. And praye for them which wrongfully trouble you. ²⁹ And vnto hym that smiteth the on the one cheke, offer also the other. And him that taketh awaye thy gonne, forbyd not to take thy cote also. ³⁰ Giue euerye man that axeth of the. And of hym that taketh awaye thy goodes, axe them not again. ³¹ And as ye woulde that men should do to you: so do ye to them likewyse.

³⁵ By thys shall all men knowe that ye are my discyples, yf ye shall haue loue one to another.

⁸ Here is my father glorifyed that ye beare muche fruyte, and be made my disciples.

¹⁷ Neuerthelesse he lefte not hym selfe without wytnes, in that he shewed hys benefytes, in geuynge vs rayne from heauen, and fruteful ceasons, fyllyng our hertes with fode and gladnes.

⁸ But God setteth out his loue that he hath to vs, seing that whil we wer yet sinners, Christ died for vs. ⁹ Much more then now (seing we are iustified in hys bloud) shall we be saued from wrath thorowe hym. ¹⁰ For yf when we were enemyes, we were reconciled to God by the death of hys sonne muche more, seynge we are reconciled, we shall be preserued by his lyfe.

⁹ Ye knowe the lyberalytie of oure Lorde Iesus Christe, whiche though he were ryche, yet for youre sakes became pore that ye thorowe hys pouertye myght be made ryche.

¹⁰ In this are the chyldren of God knowen, and the chyldren of the deuil. Whosoeuer doth not rightuousnes, is not of God, neyther he that loueth not his brother. ¹¹ For this is the tidinges, that ye hearde from the beginninge, that ye should loue one anothere ¹² not as Cayn, which was of the wicked & slewe his brother. And wherfore slewe he him? Because his own workes were euyll, and his brothers good. ¹³ Maruaile not my brethren though the worlde hate you. ¹⁴ We know that we are translated from death vnto lyfe, because we loue the brethren. He that loueth not his brother, abydeth in death.

⁷ Beloued, let vs loue one another, for loue commeth of god. And euery one that loueth is borne of God, & knoweth God. ⁸ He that loueth not, knoweth not God: for God is loue. ⁹ In this appered the loue of God to vsward, because that God sent his onely begotten sonne into the world, that we myght lyue thorow him: ¹⁰ Herin is loue, not that we loued God, but that he loued vs, & sente his sonne to make agrement for our synnes. ¹¹ Beloued yf God so loued vs we oughte also to loue one another.
