³¹ And the seconde is lyke vnto this: Thou shalte loue thy neyghboure as thy self. There is none other commaundement greater then these.

¹³ Thou shal not begyle thy neyghbour wyth cauyllacions, nether robbe him violently, nether shall the workmans laboure abyde with the vntyl the mornyng.

¹⁸ Thou shalt not auenge thy selfe nor bere hate in thy mynde agaynst the chyldren of thy people, but shalt loue thy neyghboure euen as thy selfe I am the Lorde.

¹² Therfore whatsoeuer ye woulde that men shoulde do to you, euen so do ye to them. Thys is the lawe and the Prophetes.

¹⁸ The other sayd to him: Which And Iesus sayde: Breake no wedloke, kyll not, steale not: beare not false witues, ¹⁹ honoure father and mother, and loue thy neyghboure as thy selfe.

³⁹ And there is another lyke vnto thys. Loue thy neyghboure as thy selfe.

²⁷ And he aunswered and sayde: Loue thy Lorde God with all thy hert, and with al thy soule, and with all thy mynde, and thy neyghboure as thy selfe.

³⁶ Whiche nowe of these thre thinkest thou, was neyghboure vnto him that fell into the theues handes? ³⁷ And he sayd: he that shewed mercy on hym. Then sayd Iesus vnto hym: Go, & do thou lykewyse.

⁸ Owe nothynge to anye man: but to loue one another. For he that loueth another, fulfylleth the lawe. ⁹ For these commaundementes Thou shalte not commyt aduoutrye: Thou shalte not kyll: Thou shalt not steale: Thou shalte not beare false wytnesse: Thou shalte not desyre: and so forth (yf there be anye other commaundente) they are all comprehended in thys saiynge: Loue thyne neyghboure as thy selfe.

⁴ Loue suffreth longe, and is curteous. Loue enuieth not. Loue doth not frowardelye, swelleth not, dealeth not dishonestlye, ⁵ seketh not her owne, is not prouoketh to anger, thinketh not euil, ⁶ reioiceth not in iniquitie: but reioiseth in the trueth, ⁷ suffreth all thinge, beleueth all thinges, hopeth al thinges, endureth in all thinges. ⁸ Though that propheciynge fayle, other tounges shall cease, or knowledge vanishe awaye, yet loue falleth neuer awaye.

¹⁴ For all the lawe is fulfylled in one worde: whiche is thys: thou shalte loue thyne neyghboure as thy selfe.

⁸ Yf ye fulfyll the royall lawe accordynge to the scripture whiche sayeth. Thou shalte loue thyne neyghboure as thy self, ye do wel. ⁹ But yf ye regarde one personne more then another, ye commytte sinne, and are rebuked of the lawe as transgressours. ¹⁰ Whosoeuer shall kepe the whole lawe, and yet fayle in one point he is gyltye in all. ¹¹ For he that sayde: Thou shalte not committe adultery, sayed also, thou shalte not kyll. Thoughe thou do none adulterye: yet yf thou kyll, thou arte a transgresser of the lawe. ¹² So speake ye, and so do, as they that shalbe iudged by the lawe of lybertye. ¹³ For there shalbe iudgemente mercyles to hym, that sheweth no mercy, & mercy reioyseth against iudgemente.

¹⁷ Whosoeuer hath this worldes good, and seeth his brother haue nede, and shutteth vp his compassion from him, howe dwelleth the loue of God in hym? ¹⁸ My babes, let vs not loue in worde neyther in tonge, but wyth the dede and in veryty: ¹⁹ For therby we know that we are of the verytye, and can before him quyete oure hertes.

⁷ Beloued, let vs loue one another, for loue commeth of god. And euery one that loueth is borne of God, & knoweth God. ⁸ He that loueth not, knoweth not God: for God is loue.

²¹ And this commaundemente haue we of him that he which loueth God, should loue his brother also.
