³ And as he sate vpon the mounte Oliuet: his disciples came vnto him secretlye saying. Tell vs when these thinges shalbe: and what sygne shalbe of thy comminge and of the ende of the worlde?

⁶ And one of them sayde vnto him, whiche was clothed in lynen, and stode aboue vpon the waters of the floud: How longe shall it be to the ende of the wonderous worckes? ⁷ Then hearde I the man with the lynen clothes, whiche stode aboue vpon the waters of the floude: when he helde vp his right and lefte hande vnto heauen, and sware, by hym whyche liueth for euer: that it shall tary for a tyme, two tymes and halfe a tyme: & when the power of the holy people is cleane scatred abroade, then shal al these thinges be fulfilled. ⁸ I hearde it well, but I vnderstode it not. Then sayde I: O my Lord, what shall happen after that?

¹⁰ And the disciples came and sayde to hym: Why speakest thou to them in parables? ¹¹ He aunswered and sayde vnto theym: it is geuen vnto you to know the secretes of the kyngdom of heauen, but to them it is not geuen

³⁶ Then sente Iesus the people awaye, & came home. And hys disciples came vnto him sayinge: declare vnto vs the similitude of the tares of the felde.

³⁹ And the enemy that soweth them is the deuell. The Haruest is the ende of the worlde. And the reapers be the Aungels. ⁴⁰ For euen as the tares are gaddred and brent in the fyre: so shall it be in the ende of thys worlde.

⁴⁹ So shall it be at the ende of the worlde. The aungels shall come out, and seuer the bad from the good,

¹² Then came hys disciples, and sayde vnto hym: Perceyuest thou not, how that the Phariseis are offended in hearing thys saying?

¹⁹ Then came the disciples to Iesus secretly and sayd: Why coulde not we cast hym out?

¹ When they drewe nygh vnto Ierusalem, and were come too Bethphage, to mount Oliuete: then sent Iesus two of his disciples,

²⁷ For as the lyghteninge cometh out of the east, and shyneth into the west, so shal the comminge of the sonne of man be.

³² Learne a symylytude of the fygge tre: when his braunches are yet tendre, and his leaues spronge, ye knowe that sommer is nye, ³³ so lykewyse ye, when ye se all these thynges, be ye sure that it is neare euen at the dores.

³⁷ As the tyme of Noe was, so lykewyse shal the commynge of the sonne of man be.

³⁹ & knew of nothinge, tyll the floude came and toke them all awaye. So shal also the comminge of the sonne of man be.

⁴³ Of this be sure, that if the good man of the house knewe what houre the these woulde come, he would suerlye watche, and not suffer his house to be broken vp.

²⁰ Teachyng then to obserue all thynges whatsoeuer I commaunded you, And lo I am with you alwaye, euen vntyll the ende of the worlde.

³ And as he sate on mounte Olyuete, ouer agaynst the temple, Peter, & Iames, & Iohn, & Andrewe axed hym secretelye: ⁴ tell vs, when shall these thynges be? And what is the sygne when all these thynges shalbe fulfylled?

⁷ And they axed him saiynge: Maister when shall these thinges be, and what sygne wyll ther be, when such thinges shall come to passe.

²¹ When Peter saw him, he sayde to Iesus: Lord what shall he here do? ²² Iesus sayde vnto him: Yf I wyll haue him to tarye tyll I come, what is that to the? folow thou me.

⁷ And he sayed vnto them: It is not for you to know the tymes or the seasons which the father hath put in hys owne power

¹ Of the tymes and seasons brethren ye haue no nede, that I wryte vnto you: ² for ye youre selues knowe perfectly that the daie of the Lorde shall come euen as a thefe in the nyght. ³ When they shal say peace and no daunger, then commeth on them soden destruccion, as the trauaylynge of a woman wyth chyld, and they shal not escape. ⁴ But ye brethren are not in darckenes, that that daye shoulde come on you as it were a thefe. ⁵ Ye are all the chyldren of lyght and the chyldren of the daye. We are not of the nyghte neither of darckenes. ⁶ Therfore let vs not slepe as do other: but let vs watche & be sober. ⁷ For they that slepe, slepe in the nyght: and they that be droncken, are droncken in the nyght. ⁸ But let vs whiche are of the daye, be sober, armed wyth the breste plate of fayth and loue, and wyth hope of saluacyon as an helmet. ⁹ For God hath not annoynted vs vnto wrath: but to obtayne saluacyon by the meanes of oure Lord Iesu Christ ¹⁰ whyche dyed for vs: that whether we wake or slepe, we shoulde liue together wyth hym. ¹¹ Wherfore comforte your selues together, and edifye one another, euen as ye do.

²⁶ for then must he haue often suffered sence the worlde beganne. But nowe in the ende of the worlde hath he appered ones to put synne to flyghte by the offerynge vp of hym self.
