¹ O blessed is the man, that goeth not in the counsayll of the vngodly: that abydeth not in the waie of sinners and sitteth not in the seate of the scorneful. ² But deliteth in the lawe of the Lord, and exercyseth hym self in hys lawe, bothe daye and nyght. ³ Suche a man is lyke a tree planted by the watersyde, that bringeth forthe hys frute in due season. His leaues shall not fall af, & loke whatsoeuer he doth, it shall prospere. ⁴ As for the vngodly, it is not so with them but they are lyke the dust, wych the wynde scatered awaye from the grounde. ⁵ Thefore the vngodly shall not be able to stande in the iudgement, nether the synners in the congregacyon of the ryghtuous. ⁶ For the Lorde aloweth the waye of the righteous, but the waye of the vngodly shal peryshe.

²⁴ & than Henoch liued a godly lyfe, and was no more sene, for God toke hym awaye.

⁶ In to theyr secrettes come not my soule, and vnto their congregacion be my honour not coupled: for in their wrath they slewe a man, and in theyr selfe wyll they houghed an oxe.

²⁷ And if ye wyll not yet for all thys herken vnto me, but shal walke contrary vnto me, ²⁸ then I wyll walke contrarye vnto you also wrathfullye and wyll also chastyce you seuen tymes for youre synnes:

² And al these blessinges shal come on the and ouertake the, yf thou shalt herken vnto the voyce of the Lorde thy God. ³ Blessed shalt thou be in the towne and blessed in the feldes, ⁴ blessed shalbe the frute of thy body, the frute of thy grounde and the frute of thy catell, the frute of thyne oxen, and thy flockes of shepe, ⁵ blessed shall thyne aulmery be and thy store. ⁶ Blessed shalt thou be, both when thou goest out, and blessed when thou comest in. ⁷ The Lord shal smyte thyne enemyes that ryse agaynst the before thy face. They shall come out agaynst the one way, & flee before the .vij. wayes. ⁸ The Lord shall commaunde the blessynge to be wyth the in thy store houses & in al that thou settest thyne hande to, and wyll blesse the in the lande whyche the Lorde thy God geueth the. ⁹ The Lord shall make the an holy people vnto him self, as he hath sworne vnto the: yf thou shalt kepe the commandementes of the Lord thy God and walke in his wayes. ¹⁰ And al nacions of the erth shall se that thou arte called after the name of the Lorde, and they shalbe aferde of the. ¹¹ And the Lord shal make the plentuous in goodes, in the frute of thy body, in the frute of thy catell and in the frute of thy grounde, in the land whych the Lord sware vnto thy fathers to geue the. ¹² The Lord shall open vnto the hys good treasure, euen the heauen, to geue rayne vnto thy lande in due ceason and to blesse al the laboures of thyne hande. And thou shalt lende vnto many nacions, but shalt not nede to borowe thy selfe. ¹³ And the Lord shall set the before and not behynde, & thou shalt be aboue only and not beneth: yf that thou herken vnto the commaundementes of the Lorde thy God which I commaunde the this day to kepe and to do them. ¹⁴ And se that thou bowe not from any of these wordes which I commaunde the this daye ether to the ryght hande or to the lefte, that thou woldest goo after straunge goddes to serue them. ¹⁵ But and yf thou wilt not herken vnto the voice of the Lord thy God to kepe and to do al his commaundementes and ordinaunces which I commaunde the thys day: then all these curses shall come vpon the & ouertake the: ¹⁶ Cursed shalt thou be in the towne, & cursed in the felde, ¹⁷ cursed shall thyne aulmery be & thy store. ¹⁸ Cursed shal the frute of thy body & the frute of thy lande be & the frute of thyne oxen & the flockes of thy shepe. ¹⁹ And cursed shalt thou be when thou goest in, & when thou goest out. ²⁰ And the Lorde shall sende vpon the cursynge, goyinge to nought & complanynge in all that thou settest thyne hande to whatsoeuer thou doest: vntyl thou be destroyed & brought to nought quyckely, because of the wickednesse of thyne inuencions in that thou hast forsaken the Lorde. ²¹ And the Lorde shall make the pestilence cleaue vnto the, vntyll he haue consumed the from the land whether thou goest to enioye it. ²² And the Lord shall smyte the with swellynge, with feuers, heet, bunrynge, wetherynge, with smytynge and blastynge. And they shall folowe the vntyll thou peryshe. ²³ And the heauen that is ouer thy head shalbe brasse, & the erthe that is vnder the, yeron. ²⁴ And the Lorde shall turne the rayne of the land vnto powder & dust: euen from heauen they shall come doune vpon the, vntyll thou be brought to nought. ²⁵ And the Lorde shall plage the before thyne enmyes: Thou shalt come out one waye agaynste them, and flee seuen wayes before them, & shalt be scatered amonge al the kingdomes of the erth. ²⁶ And thy carkesse shalbe meate vnto all maner foules of the apre and vnto the beastes of the erth, and no man shall fraye them awaye. ²⁷ And the Lorde wyll smyte the wyth the botches of Egypt and the emoroydes, scalle & maungynesse, that thou shalt not be healed therof. ²⁸ And the Lorde shall smyte the wyth madnesse, blyndnesse & dasyng of herte. ²⁹ And thou shalt grope at none dayes as the blynd gropeth in darknesse, and shalt not come to the ryght waye. And thou shalt suffer wronge only & be polled euermore, and no man shall sucker the, ³⁰ thou shalt be betrawthed vnto a wyfe, and another shal lye with her. Thou shalt buylde and house & another shal dwell therin. Thou shalt plante a vyneard, & shalt not make it comen. ³¹ Thyne oxe shalbe slayne before thyne eyes, and thou shalt not eate therof. Thyne asse shalbe vyolentlye taken awaye euen bofore thy face, and shall not be restored the agayne. Thy shepe shalbe geuen vnto thyne enemyes, and no man shall helpe the. ³² Thy sonnes and thy daughters shall be geuen vnto another nacion, and thyne eyes shall se and dase vpon them all daye longe, but shalt haue no myght in thyne hande. ³³ The frute of thy lande and all thy laboures shall a nacion which thou knowest not, eate, and thou shalt but suffre vyolence only & be oppressed alwaye: ³⁴ that thou shalt be cleane besyde thy selfe for the syghte of thyne eyes which thou shalt se. ³⁵ The Lord shal smyte the wyth a myscheuous botche in the knees and legges, so that thou canst not be healed: euen from the sole of the fote vnto the toppe of the head. ³⁶ The Lord shall brynge both the and thy kynge whych thou hast sett ouer the, vnto a nacyon whych nether thou nor thy fathers haue knowne, and there thou shalt serue straunge Goddes: euen wod & stone, ³⁷ And thou shalt go to waste & be made an ensample, & a iestynge stocke vnto all nacyons whether the Lord shall carye the. ³⁸ Thou shalt carie moch seed out in the felde & shalt gather but lytle in: for the greshopers shall destroye it. ³⁹ Thou shalt plante a veynearde & dresse it, but shalt nether drynke of the wyne neither gather of the grapes, for the wormes shall eate it. ⁴⁰ Thou shalt haue olyuetrees in al thy coastes, but shalt not be anoynted with the oyle, for thyne olyue trees shalbe roted out. ⁴¹ Thou shalt get sonnes and daughters, but shalt not haue them: for they shalbe caryed awaye captiue. ⁴² All thy trees and frute of thy lande shalbe marred with blastynge. ⁴³ The straungers that are a monge you shall clyme aboue the vp on hye, and thou shalt come doune beneth alowe. ⁴⁴ He shal lende the & thou shalt not lende him, he shalbe before and thou behynde. ⁴⁵ Moreouer all these curses shall come vpon the & shall folowe the and ouertake the, tyll thou be destroyed: because thou herkenedest not vnto the voyce of the Lorde thy God, to kepe his commandementes and ordynaunces whych he commaunded the, ⁴⁶ and they shalbe vpon the as miracles and wonders & vpon thy seed for euer. ⁴⁷ And because thou seruedest not the Lord thy God wyth ioyfulnesse and with a good herte for the abundaunce of all thinges, ⁴⁸ therfore thou shalt serue thyne enemye which the Lord shall sende vpon the: in hunger and thrust, in nakednesse and in nede of all thynge: & he shall put a yocke of yeron vpon thyne necke, vntyll he haue broughte the to nought. ⁴⁹ And the Lord shal brynge a nacyon vpon the from a farre, euen from the ende of the world, as swyfte as an egle flyeth: a nacyon whose tonge thou shalt not vnderstande: ⁵⁰ a harde fauoured nacyon whiche shall not regarde the person of the olde nor haue compassion on the yonge. ⁵¹ And he shall eate the frute of thy lande and the frute of thy catell vntill he haue destroyed the: so that he shall leaue the nether corne, wyne, nor oyle, nether the encrease of thyne oxen nor the flockes of thy shepe: vntyll he haue brought the to nought. ⁵² And he shall kepe the in, in all thy cities, vntyll the hye & stronge walles be come doune wherin thou trustedest, thorow al the lande. And he shal besyege the in al thy cytyes thorow out all thy land which the Lord thy god hath geuen the. ⁵³ And thou shalt eate the frute of thyne owne body: the flesh of thi sonnes and of thy daughters whych the Lorde thy God hath geuen the, in that straytenesse & seyge wherwith thine enemye shal besyege the, ⁵⁴ so that it shal greue the man that is tender and exceadynge delycate amonge you, to loke on hys brother and vpon his wyfe that lyeth in hys bosome, & on the remnaunte of his chyldren which he hath yet lefte, ⁵⁵ for feare of geuynge vnto any of them of the flesh of his children, which he eateth, because he hath noughte lefte him in that straytenes and seyge wherwyth thyne enemyes shall besyege the in all thy cyties. ⁵⁶ Yea, and the woman that is so tender & delycate among you that she dare not aduenture to sett the sole of her foote vpon the grounde for softnesse and tendernesse, shalbe greued to loke on the husbande that lyeth in her bosome and on her sonne & on her daughter: ⁵⁷ euen because of the after byrthe, that is come out from betwene her legges, & because of her chyldren which she hath borne, because she wolde eate them for nede of all thynges secretly, in the straytenes & seyge wherwyth thyne enemye shal besyege the in thy cyties. ⁵⁸ If thou wilt not be dyligent to do all the wordes of this law that are wrytten in thys boke, for to feare this glorious and fearfull name of the Lorde thy God: ⁵⁹ the Lorde wyll smyte both the and thy sead with wonderful plages and with greate plages and of longe continuaunce, ⁶⁰ and with euell sekenesses and of longe duraunce. Moreouer he wyll brynge vpon the al the diseases of Egypt which thou wast afrayed of, and they shall cleaue vnto the. ⁶¹ Therto al maner sickenesses and all maner plages which are not wrytten in the boke of this lawe, wyll the Lord brynge vpon the vntyll thou be come to noughte. ⁶² And ye shalbe lefte fewe in nombre, where before ye were as the starres of heauen in multitude: because thou woldest not herken vnto the voyce of the Lord thy God. ⁶³ And as the Lord reioysed ouer you to do you good & to multyplye you: euen so he wil reioyse ouer you, to destroy you and to bring you to nought. And ye shalbe wasted from of the lande whether thou goest to enioye it. ⁶⁴ And the Lord shall scater the amonge all nacions from the one ende of the world vnto the other and there thou shalt serue straunge goddes, whyche nether thou nor thy fathers haue knowne: euen wood and stone. ⁶⁵ And amonge these nacyons thou shalt be no small ceason, and yet shalt haue no reste to the sole of thy foote. For the Lorde shall geue the there a tremblynge herte & dasynge eyes & sorowe of mynde. ⁶⁶ And thy lyfe shall hange before the, & thou shalt feare both day and nyght & shalt haue no trust in thy lyfe. ⁶⁷ In the mornyng thou shalt saye, wold God it were nyght. And at nyght thou shalt saye, wolde God it were mornynge: for feare of thyne herte which thou shalt feare, and for the syght of thyne eyes which thou shalt se. ⁶⁸ And the Lord shal brynge the into Egypt agayne with shyppes, by the way whych I bade the that thou shouldest se it no moare. And there ye shalbe solde vnto youre enemies, for bondmen and bondwemen: and yet no man shal bye you.

²⁹ Happye arte thou Israell, who is lyke vnto the? A people that arte saued by the Lord thy shyeld and helper & swerd of thy glory. And thyne enemyes shal hyde theym selues from the, and thou shalt walke vppon theyr hye hylles.

³¹ For it semed him a light thinge to walke in the synne of Ieroboam. But toke Iezabel the doughter of Ethbaal, kinge of the Sidonites to wyfe, and went & serued Baal and bowed vnto him.

³ And he walked also in the wayes of the house of Ahab, for his mother was his counseler for to do euill.

³ Thynkeste thou it well done, to oppresse me, to caste me of (beinge a worke of thy handes) and to manteyne the councell of the vngodly?

¹⁶ Lo there is vtterly no goodnesse in them, therfore wyll not I haue to do with the councell of the vngodly.

⁵ Yf I haue cleaued vnto vanitie or yf my fete haue runne to disceyue:

⁶ For the Lorde aloweth the waye of the righteous, but the waye of the vngodly shal peryshe.

¹² Kysse the sonne, lest the Lorde be angrye and so ye peryshe from the ryght way. For his wrath shalbe kindled shortly: blessed are all they that put their trust in hym.

⁴ I syt not amonge vayne personnes, & haue no feloshippe with the disceatfull. ⁵ I hate the congregacyon of the wycked, and I wyll not syt amonge the vngodlye.

¹² My fote standeth right: I wyll prayse the (O Lorde) in the congregations.

¹ An instruccyon of Dauid. Blessed are they, whose vnryghtuousnes is forgeuen, and whose sinnes are couered. ² Blessed is the man, vnto whom the Lord imputeth no synne, in whose, spirite ther is no gyle.

⁸ O taste and se how frendly the Lorde is, blessed is the man that trusteth in hym.

⁴ He ymagineth mischief vpon his bedde he wil come in no good waye, nor refuse the thyng that is euel.

² Hide me from the gathering together of the frowarde, from the heape of wycked doers.

¹² So I gaue them vp vnto their owne hertes luste, and let them folowe theyr owne ymaginacions.

¹² O Lorde God of Hostes, blessed is the man that putteth his truste in the.

³ Blessed are they that allwaye kepe iudgement, and do ryghtuousnes.

¹ Prayse the euerlastynge. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, and hath great delite in hys commaundementes.

¹² The Lorde is myndfull of vs, and blesseth vs: he blesseth the house of Israel, he blesseth the house of Aaron. ¹³ Yea he blesseth al them that feare the Lord both smale and great. ¹⁴ The Lorde encrease you more and more: you, and your children. ¹⁵ For ye are the blessed of the Lord, whych made heauen and earth.

¹ Aleph. Blessed are those that be vndefyled in the way: which walcke in the law of the Lord. ² Blessed are they that kepe hys testimonies, and seke him with their whole herte.

¹¹⁵ Away fro me ye wycked, I will kepe the commaundementes of my God.

¹⁵ Happy are the people that be in suche a case: yea, blessed are the people, whiche haue the Lord for their God.

⁵ Blessed is he that hath the God of Iacob for his helpe, and whose hope is in the Lord hys God.

⁹ The Lorde careth for the straungers, he defendeth the fatherlesse and wydow: as for the way of the vngodly, he turneth it vpside doune.

¹⁵ My sonne, walke not thou with them, refrayn thy fote from their ways.

²² O ye chyldren, how longe will ye loue chyldyshnesse? how long wil the, scorners delite in scorning & the vnwise be enemies vnto knowlege?

¹² That thou mayest be delyuered from the euell waye, & from the man that speaketh frowarde thinges

³⁴ As for the scornefull, he shall laugh them to scorne, but he shal geue grace vnto the lowly.

¹⁴ Come not in the path of the vngodly, and walke not in the waye of the wycked. ¹⁵ Eschue it, and go not therein: departe a syde, and passe ouer by it.

¹⁹ But the waye of the vngodly is as the darcknes, wherin men fal, or thei be aware.

¹² If thou be wyse thy wysdome shall do thy selfe good: but if thou thynckeste scorne therof, it shalbe thyne owne harme.

¹⁵ Good vnderstanding geueth fauour, but hard is the way of the despisers.

²⁰ He that goeth in the company of wyse men, shalbe wyse: but who so is a companyon of foles, shalbe hurte.

²⁹ Punishmentes are ordeyned for the scornefull, and strypes for fooles backes.

¹⁷ I dwell not amonge the scorners, nether is my delyte therin: but I dwell only in the feare of thy hand, for thou hast fylled me with bytternes.

⁸ let not the boke of thys lawe departe out of thy mouthe: But recorde therein daye & night that thou mayest be circumspect to do accordyng to all that is wrytten therein. For then shalt thou make thy waye prosperouse, & then thou shalt haue vnderstandyng.

¹² I haue not forsaken the commaundemente of hys lippes, but loke what he charged me wt his mouth, that haue I shut vp in my herte.

⁸ that I shoulde fulfyl thy wyl O my God, and that am I content to do: yea thy lawe is wythin my hert.

³⁴ O that my wordes might please hym, for my ioye is in the Lorde.

⁷² The law of thy mouth is dearer vnto me, then thousandes of golde and siluer.

⁹² If my delyte were not in thy lawe, I should perysh in my trouble.

⁹⁷ Mem. O what loue haue I vnto thy law? all the daye longe is my talkyng of it. ⁹⁸ Thou thorow thy commaundement hast made me wyser then myne enemyes, for it is euer by me. ⁹⁹ I haue more vnderstandyng then all my teachers, for thy testimonies are my studye.

¹⁶ When I had found thy wordes, I ate them vp gredely: they haue made my herte ioyfull & glad. For I call vpon thy name, O Lorde God of Hostes.

³⁷ And she had bene a weddowe aboute .iiij. score and .iiij. yeares, which went neuer out of the temple, but serued God with fastinge and prayer night & daye.

⁷ And shall not God aduenge his electe, which crye daye and nyghte vnto hym, ye though he defarre them?

²² I delite the lawe of God, concernynge the inner man.

⁹ Ye remember brethren our labour and trauayle. For we laboured day and night, because we would not be greuous vnto any of you, and preached vnto you the Gospel of God.

¹⁵ These thynges exercyse, and geue thy selfe vnto them, that it maye be sene howe thou profytest in all thynges.

³ I thanke God, whom I serue from myne elders with pure conscience, that wythout ceasyng I make mencyon of the in my prayers nyghte and daye,

³ This is the loue of God, that we kepe his commaundementes, and his commaundementes are not greuous.

³ And hys mayster sawe that the Lorde was wyth hym, and that the Lorde made all that he dyd prosper in hys hande:

²³ And the keper of the preson loked vnto nothynge that was vnder hys hande, because the Lorde was wyth hym, and because that what soeuer he dyd, the Lorde made it come luckely to passe.

⁷ Aboue all thynge be strong and harden thy selfe, to obserue & to do, accordynge to all the lawes which Moses my seruaunt commaunded the. Tourne there from nether to the ryght hand nor to the lefte: that thou mayest haue vnderstandynge in all thou takest in hande ⁸ let not the boke of thys lawe departe out of thy mouthe: But recorde therein daye & night that thou mayest be circumspect to do accordyng to all that is wrytten therein. For then shalt thou make thy waye prosperouse, & then thou shalt haue vnderstandyng.

¹¹ Now my sonne, the lord be with the, that thou mayst prospere & buyld the house of the Lorde thy God, as he hathe sayde of the.

²¹ And in all the worckes that he beganne in the seruyce of the house of God, to seke hys God after the lawe and commaundemente, that dyd he wyth all his herte, and prospered.

²³ In so muche that many brought presentes vnto the Lorde to Ierusalem and precyouse gyftes to Hezekiah kynge of Iuda: so that he was magnifyed in the sight of al nacyons from thence forth.

⁹ getteth the sent of water, yt wyll budde, and brynge forth bowes, lyke as whent it was fyrst planted.

¹⁴ plenteous and grene.

² For thou shalte eate the laboures of thyne owne handes: O well is the, happy art thou.

⁸ So that they which go by, saye not so much as: the Lord prospere you, we wish you good lucke in the name of the Lord.

¹⁰ Then shall they saye. O happye are the godly, for they maye enioye the frutes of theyr studyes.

¹¹ Theyr haruest shalbe brente, theyr wyues which were theyr bewtye when they came forth: shalbe defyled. For it is a people wythout vnderstandynge, & therfore he that created them, shall not fauoure them, and he that made them shal not be mercyful to them.

⁴ They shall growe together, lyke as the grasse, and as the Willies by the waters syde.

⁸ For he shalbe as a tre, that is planted by the water syde: which spredeth out the rote vnto moystness, whom the heate can not harme, when it commeth, but his leaues are grene. And though there growe but lytle frute because of drouth, yet is he not carefull, but he neuer leaueth of to brynge forth fruite.

⁸ Neuertheles it was planted vpon a good grounde besyde greate waters: so that (by reason) it shoulde haue brought out braunches & frute & haue bene a goodly vyne.

¹⁰ As for thy mother, she is like a vyne in thy bloude, planted by the water syde: her frutes and braunches are growen out of many waters,

¹² By this ryuer vpon both the sydes of the shore, there shall growe al maner of fruiteful trees, whose leaues shall not fall of, nether shall their fruyte peryshe: but euer be rype at their monethes, for their water ronneth out of their Sanctuary. His fruite is good to eate and hys leaf profitable for medycyne.

⁶ & when the sunne was vp, it caughte heate, and for lacke of rotynge wyddred awaye.

¹⁹ and spyed a fygge tree in the waye, and came to it, and found nothynge thereon, but leaues onely, and sayed to it, neuer frute growe on the hence forwardes. And anone the figge tre wyddered away

³⁴ And when the tyme of the frute drewe neare, he sente hys seruauntes to the husbandmen to receyue the fruytes of it.

⁴¹ They sayed vnto hym: he wyll cruellye destroye those euyll persons, and wyll let out hys vyneyarde vnto other husbandmen, which shall delyuer hym the frute at tymes conuenient.

⁶ Yf a man byde not in me, he is cast forth as a braunche, and is wythered: and men gather it, and cast it into the fyre, and it burneth.

¹² These are spottes which of youre kyndnes feast together, wythoute feare, fedyng themselues. Cloudes they are wythout water, caryed aboute of wyndes, and trees wythout frute at gatherynge tyme, twyse dead & plucked vp by rotes.

² In the middes of the strete of it, and of eyther syde of the ryuer was the wode of lyfe: which bare .xij. maner of frutes: & gaue frute euerye moneth: and the leaues of the wodde serued to heale the people wythall.

¹⁸ Yea, they shalbe euen as chaffe before the wynde, and as dust that the storme caryed awaye.

⁵ Let them be as the dust before the winde, and the aungel of the Lord scateryng them.

¹³ For thoughe so manye people increase as the flowynge waters, and though they be armed yet they fle farre of, and vanyshe awaye lyke the dust with the winde vpon an hill, and as the whirle winde thorow a storme.

⁵ Thy voyce shall come oute of the earthe, lyke the voyce of a witch, and thy talkynge shall grone oute of the myre. For the multytude of thyne enemyes shalbe lyke mealduste. And the nombre of Tyrauntes shalbe as the duste that the wynde taketh awaye sodenlye.

³ Therfore they shalbe as the morning cloud, & as the dew that early passeth away, & lyke as dust that the wynde taketh awaye from the floure, and as smoke that goeth oute of the chymney.

¹² which hath also his fan in hys hande, and will purge his floure gather the wheat into his garner, & wyl burne the chaffe with vnquenciable fyre.

⁵ Suche as be cruell maye not stande in thy syght, thou art an enemye vnto all wycked doers.

⁷ But the Lorde endureth for euer, he hath prepared his seate vnto iudgement. ⁸ He gouerneth the worlde with righteousnes, and ministreth true iudgement vnto the people.

¹⁶ Thus the Lord is knowen to execute true iudgemente, when the vngodly is trapped in the woorkes of hys owne handes. Selah.

³ Who shall go vp into the hyll of the Lord? Or who shal remayne in his holy place?

⁹ O destroy not my soule wyth the sinners nor my lyfe with the bloudthursty.

¹⁸ Turne you therfore, and consydre what difference is betwyxt the ryghteous & vngodly: betwyxt him that serueth God, and him that serueth him not.

⁴⁹ So shall it be at the ende of the worlde. The aungels shall come out, and seuer the bad from the good,

³² and before him shall be gathered all nations, and he shall separate them one from another, as a shephearde deuideth the shepe from the gootes.

⁴¹ Then shall the kinge saye vnto them that shalbe on the lyfte hande. Departe from me ye cursed, into euerlastinge fyre, which is prepared for the deuyll and hys angels.

⁴⁶ And these shall go into euerlasting payne. And the righteouse into lyfe eternall.

³⁶ Watche therfore contynuallye and praye, that ye may obtayne grace to flye all this that shal come, and that ye may stande before the sonne of man.

¹⁵ to geue iudgemente agaynst al men, & to rebuke al that are vngodly among them, of all theyr vngodly dedes, whiche they haue vngodlye commytted and of all theyr cruell speakynges; whiche vngodly synners haue spoken agaynste him.

¹⁰ But as for my way, he knoweth it: & tryeth me as the goulde in the fyre.

⁶ The enemyes sweardes are come too an ende, thou haste ouerthrowen their cytyes, their memorial is perished with them.

¹⁸ The Lord knoweth the dayes of the Godly and their inheritaunce endureth for euer. ¹⁹ They shall not be confounded in the perlous tyme, and in the daies of derth thei shal haue ynough. ²⁰ As for the vngodly, they shall perysh: and when the enemyes of the Lorde are in theyr floures, they shall consume, yea, euen as the smoke shall they consume awaye. ²¹ The vngodly boroweth and payeth not agayne, but the righteous is mercyfull and lyberall. ²² Such as be blessed of hym, shall possesse the lande: and they whome he curseth, shalbe roted out. ²³ The Lorde ordreth a good mans goynge, and hath pleasure in hys waye. ²⁴ Though he fall, he shall not be hurte, for the Lorde vpholdeth him with his hande.

¹⁰ The vngodly shall se it, and it shall greue them: he shall gnash with his teeth, and consume awaye. and the desyre of the vngodlye shall perysh.

¹ To the chaunter, a Psalme of Dauid. O Lorde, thou searchest me out, and knowest me. ² Thou knowest my doune sittyng and myne vprysinge, thou vnderstandest my thoughtes a farre of.

³ When my sprete is in heuynesse, for thou knowest my path: in the way wherin I walke haue they preuely layed a snare for me.

¹² Ther is a waye whiche some men thinke to be ryght, but the ende thereof leadeth vnto death.

⁹ The waye of the vngodlye is an abhomynacyon vnto the Lorde, but who so foloweth rightuousnesse, hym he loueth.

⁷ Full gracious is the Lorde, and a stronge holde in the tyme of trouble, he knoweth them that put their truste in hym:

¹³ Enter in at the strayte gate: for wide is the gate and broade is the way that leadeth to destruction: and many there be whiche go in therat.

¹⁴ I am that good shepeherde, and knowe myne and am knowen of myne.

²⁷ my shepe heare my voice, & I know them, and they folowe me,

¹⁹ But the sure grounde of God remayneth, and hath thys seale: the Lord knoweth them that are his, & let euerye man that calleth on the name of Christe departe from iniquitie.

¹² But these as brute beastes naturallye made to be taken and destroyed, speake euyll of that they knowe not, and shal perishe thorow their owne destruccion,
