⁷ Oure soule is escaped, euen as a byrde out of the snare of the fouler: the snare is broken and we are delyuered.

²⁶ And when Saul hearde that, he folowed after Dauid into the wyldernesse of Maon. And Saul and his men went on the one syde of the mountayne, and Dauid and his men on the other. And Dauid as a man amased, made hast to get from Saul, for Saul and his men had compased Dauid and hys men rounde about take them. ²⁷ But there came a messenger to Saul saying: Hast the & come, for the Philistines are come in, & roue the land.

¹⁴ After whom art thou come out, thou kynge of Israel? After whom chasest thou euen after a dead dogge, & after a flee. ¹⁵ The Lord be iudge, and iudge betwene the & me, & se & pleate my cause, and iudge me fre out of thine hande.

²⁹ And yf any man rise to persecute the and to seke thy soule the soule of my Lorde be bounde in a bondel of lyfe with the Lorde thy God. And thy soules of thy enemies be slong in the midle of a slinge.

² And I wil come vpon hym whyle he is werye and weake handed, and will feare him, that all the people that are wt hym shal flee. And so wyl I smyte the kinge onlye,

²¹ And as sone as they were departed, the other came out of the wel, and went and tolde kynge Dauid and sayde vnto him: vp and get you quyckely ouer the water for suche counsel hath Ahithophel geuen. ²² Then Dauid arose and al the people that were with him, & they were come ouer Iordan be that it was daye, that there lacked not one of them, that was not come ouer Iordan.

¹⁵ Myne eyes are euer lokynge vnto the Lorde, for he shall plucke my fete oute of the net.

³ For he shall delyuer the from the snare of the hunter, and from the noysome pestylence.

⁵ Saue thy selfe as a doo from the hande, and as a byrde from the handes of the fouler.

²⁶ For amonge my people are founde wicked personnes, that pryuelye laye snares & wayte for men, to take them & destroye them.

²² Let the noyse be herde out of their houses, when the murtherer commeth sodenly vpon them: For they haue digged a pyt to take me, and layed snares for my fete.

²⁶ that they may come to them selues agayne out of the snare of the deuyll, whiche are nowe taken of hym at hys wyll.
