² Euery man telleth lyes too his neyghbour, they do but flatter with their lyppes and dissemble in their herte.

³³ And of Zabulon that went out wyth the Hoste and proceded in the araye to battell wyth all maner of wepons of warre, fyftye thousande that kepte in order wyth one accorde.

⁹ For there is no faithfulnesse in their mouthes: they dessemble in their hertes: their throt is an open sepulcher: with their tonges thy disceaue.

⁷ His mouth is ful of cursyng, fraude & disceate vnder hys tonge is trauayle and sorowe.

³ O plucke me not awaye amonge the vngodly and wickeddoers, which speake frendly to their neyghboure, but ymagin mischefe in their hertes.

³ The woordes of hys mouth are vnrighteousnes and disceate, he will not be learned to do good. ⁴ He ymagineth mischief vpon his bedde he wil come in no good waye, nor refuse the thyng that is euel.

¹² They that sought after my lyfe, and to do me euell, spake of lyes & ymagined disceate all the daye longe.

⁶ Though he came in to se, yet meaned he falsede in his hert, heapyng myscheyfe vpon hym selfe.

¹ To the chaunter, an exortacyon of Dauid when Doeg the Edomite came to Saul, and shewed hym, sayinge: Dauid is come to the house of Ahimelech. Why boastest thou thy self, thou Tyrraunt, that thou canste do myschiefe? Wher as the goodnesse of God endureth yet dayly. ² Thy tonge ymagyneth wyckednesse, and with lyes it cutteth like a sharpe rasoure. ³ Thou loueste vngratiousnesse more then good, to talke of lyes more then ryghtuousnesse. Selah. ⁴ Thou louest to speake al wordes that may do hurte. O thou false tonge.

²¹ Their mouthes are softer then butter, & yet haue they battayll in theyr mynde: theyr wordes are smoother then oyle, and yet be they very swerdes.

¹² For the synne of their mouth, for the wordes of their lyppes, & because of their pryde, let them be taken: and why? their preachyng is of cursing and lyes.

⁴ Their deuyce is only how to put hym out, their delite is in lyes: they geue good wordes wyth their mouth, but curse wyth the herte. Selah.

⁸ Whose mouth talketh of vanitie, & theyr right hande is a right hande of falsede,

¹¹ Saue me, and deliuer me from the hande of straunge chyldren, whose mouth talketh of vanitie, and their ryght hande is a ryghte hande of falsede.

¹⁹ Medle not with hym that bewrayeth secretes, and is a sclaunderer, and disceaueth with hys lippes.

⁵ Whoso flattereth hys neyghboure, layeth a nette for hys fete.

² Wold God that I had a cotage some where farre from folcke that I myghte leaue my people, & go from them for they be all aduoutrers and a shrynkynge sorte. ³ They bende theyr tunges lyke bowes, to shute oute lyes. As for the trueth, they may nothynge awaye with all in the worlde. For they go from one wyckednes to another, & hold nothinge of me, sayeth the Lorde. ⁴ Yea one must kepe him selfe from another no man maye safely truste his owne brother: for one brother vndermyneth another, & one neyghboure begyleth another. ⁵ Yea one dyssembleth with another, & they deale wyth no trueth. They haue practysed theyr tunges to lye, and taken greate paynes to do myschefe. ⁶ They haue set theyr stole in the myddest of dysceyte, and for very dyssemblynge falshede they wyll not knowe me, sayeth the Lorde.

⁸ Their tunges are lyke sharpe arowes, to speake disceyte. Wyth theyr mouthe they speake peaceably to theyr neyghboure, but preuely they laye wayte for hym.

²⁴ There shal no visyon be in vayne, neyther anye prophecye fayle amonge the chyldren of Israel:

¹⁸ For they that are such, serue not the Lorde Iesus Christ: but theyr owne bellyes, and with swete preachynges & flatterynge wordes deceyue the hertes of the innocentes.

⁵ Neither was our conuersacyon at anye tyme wyth flatterynge wordes, as ye well knowe neyther in cloked couetousnes, god is record:

⁸ A waueryng mynded man is vnstable in all hys wayes.
