²⁷ For thou Lorde of Hostes God of Israel haste tolde in the eare of thy seruaunt saying: I wyll buylde the an house. And therfor hath thy seruaunt founde in hys harte to pray this prayer vnto the.

³⁸ And yf thou shalte herken vnto al that I commaunde the, & shalte walke in my wayes, & do that is ryght in my sight, that thou kepe myne ordynaunces & commaundementes as Dauid my seruaunt dyd: then wil I be with the & buyld the an house that shal continue, as I buylt for my seruaunt Dauid, & wil geue Israel vnto the.

²⁶ They that were in the steade of Sears, dealte lyke vngodly men. ²⁷ Therfore turned they backe trayterously and vnfaythfully from hym, & wolde not receyue hys wayes.

³ For I considre thy heauens, euen the worke of thy fingers: the moone & the starres which thou hast made.

⁵ Hys wayes are al waye filthye, thy iudgementes are farre out of his sight, he defyeth all his enemyes.

¹ To the chaunter, a Psalm of Dauid. The very heauens declare the glory of God, and the very firmament sheweth his handy worcke. ² One daye telleth another, and one nyght certifyeth another.

⁴ For thou lord hast made me glad thorow thy workes, and I will reioyse ouer the operacion of thy handes. ⁵ O Lorde, how glorious are thy workes, thy thoughtes are very depe. ⁶ An vnwyse man will not knowe thys, and a foole will not vnderstande it.

²⁴ O Lord, how manifolde are thy workes, right wisely hast thou made them al: yea, the earth is full of thy ryches.

² The worckes of the Lorde are greate, sought oute of all them, that haue pleasure therin. ³ Hys worcke is worthy to be praysed and had in honoure, and his rightuousnes endureth for euer. ⁴ The mercyfull and gracyous Lord hath so done his maruelous workes, that they ought to be had in remembraunce.

¹² In those companies are harpes and lutes, tabrettes & pipes and wyne. But they regarde not the worck of the Lorde, and consydre not the operacyon of hys handes.

¹¹ And ye shal make a pyt betwyxte the two walles of the water of the old pole, and nothing regard him, that toke it in hande, & made it.

⁹ My soule lusteth after the all the nyght longe, and my mynde hasteth frely to the. For as soone as thy iudgemente is knowne to the worlde, then the inhabytours of the earth learne rightuousnesse. ¹⁰ But the vngodly (though he haue receyued grace) yet lerneth he not ryghtuousnesse, but in the place where he is punished, he offendeth, & feareth not the glorye of the Lorde. ¹¹ Lorde, they wyll not se thyne hye hande, but they shall se it, and be confounded: when thou shalte deuoure them with the wrathe of the people, & wyth the fyre of thyue enemyes.

²⁶ Lyft vp youre eyes on hye, and consydre. Who hath made those thynges, whyche come out by so greate heapes? And he can call them all by their names. For there is nothynge hyd vnto the greatnesse of his power, strength, and myght.

⁸ The heauens aboue shall droppe downe, & the cloudes shall rayne ryghtuousnes. The earth shall open it self, & brynge forth health, & therby shall ryghtuousnes florishe. Euen I the Lorde shall brynge it to passe.

¹² I haue made the earth, & created man vpon it. Wyth myne handes haue I spred forth heauen, and geuen a commaundment for all the Host therof.

¹⁸ For thus sayeth the Lorde: euen he that created heauen, the God that made the earth, that fashioned it, & sett it forth: I haue not made it for naught, but I made it to be enhabited Euen I the Lorde, wythout whom there is none other.

¹² But (as for oure God) he made the earth with his power, and with hys wysdom hath he fynished the whole compasse of the worlde, wyth hys discrecion hath he spred oute the heauens. ¹³ At his voyce the waters gather together in the ayre, he draweth vp the cloudes from the vttermoste partes of the earth: he turneth lyghtenyng to rayne, & bryngeth forth the windes oute of theyr treasures:

⁴ I will repayre the agayne (O thou doughter of Israel) that thou mayest be faste and sure. Thou shalt take thy tabrettes againe, and go forth with them, that lede the daunce.

²⁰ Thou hast done greate tokens and wonders in the lande of Egipt (as we se this daye) vpon the people of Israel, and vpon those men: to make thy name greate, as it is come to passe this daye. ²¹ Thou hast brought thy people Israell out of the land of Egipt, with tokens, wt wondres, with a mightye hande, with a stretched out arme, and with greate terriblenes:

⁹ Who so is wyse, shall vnderstande thys: & he that is ryght instructe, wyll regarde it. For the wayes of the Lorde are ryghteous, suche as be Godlye wil walcke in them: As for the wicked, they wyll stomble therin.

³⁷ And though he had done so many myracles before them, yet beleued not they on hym,

²⁰ So that his inuisible thinges, that is to saye, hys eternall power and Godhead, are vnderstand & sene by the workes from the creation of the worlde. So that they are wythout excuse,

²⁸ And as it semed not good vnto them to be a knowen of God, euen so God deliuered them vp vnto a leud minde, that they should do those thinges, whiche were not comly,

¹⁹ and what is the excedynge greatnes of hys power to vs warde, whiche beleue accordynge to the workynge of that hys myghtye power, ²⁰ whiche he wrought in Christe, when he raysed hym from the dead, and set hym on hys ryght hande in heauenly thynges, ²¹ aboue all rule, power, and myghte, and domynyon, and aboue all names that are named, not in thys worlde onely, but also in the worlde to come,
