¹³ If so be that ye lye amonge the pales, the doues fethers shalbe couered with syluer, & her wynges of the colour of golde.

⁶ Then came I by the, and sawe the troden doune in thyne owne bloude, and sayde vnto the: thou shalte be pourged from thyne owne bloude, from thyne owne bloude (I say) shalt thou be clensed. ⁷ So I planted the, as the blossome of thy felde: thou arte growen vp, and waxen greate: thou haste gotten a maruelous pleasaunt beutie, thy brestes are come vp, thy heare is goodly growen, where as thou wast naked and bare afore. ⁸ Now when I wente by the, & loked vpon the: beholde, thy tyme was come, yea euen the tyme to vowe the. Then spred I my clothes ouer the, to couer thy dishonesty: yea I made an othe vnto the, and maryed my selfe wyth the (sayeth the Lorde God) and so thou becameste myne owne. ⁹ Then washed I the wyth water, and pourged thy bloude from the. I anoynted the wyth oyle, ¹⁰ I gaue the chaunge of raymentes, I made the shues of Tarus lether: I gyrthed the about with whyte sylcke, I clothed the with kerchues, ¹¹ I decked the wyth costly apparell, I put rynges vpon thy fyngers: a chayne aboute thy necke, ¹² spanges vpon thy fore head, eare rynges vpon thyne eares, and set a beutyfull croune vpon thyne heade. ¹³ Thus waste thou deckte with syluer & golde, and thy rayment was of fyne whyte sylke, of nedle worke & of dyuerse colours. Thou dyddest eate nothynge but symnels, hony and oyle: maruelous goodly wast thou & beutiful, yea euen a very Quene wast thou: ¹⁴ In so muche, that thy beutye was spoken of amonge the Heythen, for thou waste excellent in my beuty, which I put vpon the, sayeth the Lorde God.

¹⁶ And he woulde fayne haue fylled hys bellye with the codes that swyne eate. And no man gaue hym.

²² But hys father sayed to hys seruauntes: brynge forthe that beste garmentes, & put it on hym, and put a rynge on hys hande, & showes on hys fete.

⁹ Do ye not remembre, howe that the vnrightuous shall not inheret the kyngdome of God? Be not deceyued. For neither fornicatours, neither worshipers of ymages, neither whormongers, neyther weaklinges, neither abusers of them selues wyth the mankynde, ¹⁰ neither theues, neythe couetous, neither dronkardes, neither cursed speakers, neither pyllars, shall inherete the kyngedome of God. ¹¹ And suche were ye verelye, but ye are washed, ye are sanctifyed, ye are iustifyed by the name of the Lorde Iesus, and by the spyryte of our God.

² Ye knowe that ye were Gentyles, and wente your wayes vnto domme Idols, euen as you were led.

¹ And you hath he quickened also that were deade in treaspas & synne, ² in the whiche in time passed, yet walked accordynge to the course of thys worlde, & after the gouerner that ruleth in the ayer, the spyrite that nowe worketh in the chyldren of vnbelefe, ³ amonge whiche we also had our conuersation in tyme paste, in the lustes of oure fleshe, and fulfylled the wyll of the fleshe and of the mynde, and were naturallye the chyldren of wrath, euen as well as other.

²⁶ to sanctifye it, and cleansed it in the fountayne of water thorowe the worde ²⁷ to make it vnto hym selfe a glorious congregation wythout spotte or wrinckle, or anye suche thinge: but that it shoulde be holy and wythout blame.

³ For we our selues also in tymes paste, vnwyse, dysobedient, deceyued, in daunger to lustes, and to dyuers maners of voluptuousnes, lyuyng in malycyousnes and enuye, ful of hate, hatyng one another.

⁵ and from Iesus Christ, whiche is a faythfull wytnes, and fyrst begotten of the dead, and Lorde ouer the kynges of the earth. Vnto him, that loued vs and washed vs from synnes in his owne bloude, ⁶ & made vs kinges and priestes vnto God his father: be glorye and dominyon for euer more. Amen.
