¹⁵ Yea, I had almoost also sayd euen as they: but lo, then shoulde I haue condemned the generacion of thy chyldren.

²⁴ Oh, naye my sonnes: for it is no good reporte, that I heare how that ye make the Lordes people to trespasse.

⁵ Therfore shall they be brought in greate feare, for God standeth by the generacion of the righteous.

³⁰ The sede shall serue hym, and preache of the Lord for euer.

⁶ This is the generation of them that seke hym, of them that seke thy face, O Iacob. Selah.

⁸ But as for you, ye are gone cleane out of the waye, & haue caused the multitude to be offended at the lawe: ye haue broken the couenaunt of Leui, sayeth the Lord of hostes.

⁶ But whosoeuer offende one of these litelone, whych beleue in me: it were better for hym, that a milstone were hanged about his necke, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. ⁷ Wo be vnto the worlde because of offences. Howe be it, it cannot be auoyded but that offences shall be geuen. Neuerthelesse woo be to the man, by whome the offence cometh.

¹⁵ Yf thy brother be greued with thy meat, now walkest thou not charytablye. Destroye not him with thy meate, for whome Christ dyed.

²¹ It is good neyther to eate flesh, neyther to drynke wyne neyther anye thynge whereby thy brother stombleth, eyther falleth, or is made weake.

¹¹ And so thorowe thy knowledge shal the weake brother perishe for whom Christ dyed. ¹² When ye synne so againste the brethren, and wound theyr weake consciences, ye synne agaynste Christe. ¹³ Wherfore yf meate hurte my brother, I wyll eate no fleshe, whyle the worlde standeth, because I wyll not hurte my brother.

⁹ But ye are a chosen generacyon, a royall priesthode, an holye nacyon and a peculyar people that ye shoulde shewe the vertues of hym that called you oute of darkenes into his marueylous lyght,
